Like that's just, like, out of all these games,
our teams are scoring a shitload of points in week one,
and you're like, you're trying to see something new from the Steelers,
new coach, all this.
Aaron Rogers' last go-round, he's talking about Shailene Woodley
wanting to fuck random dudes.
He's all over these podcasts.
they come out and you're like, eh.
Like that Steelers game was an eh.
Like, cool.
You know, if the Falcons weren't totally inept, who knows?
I mean, you look at that matchup and you're kind of like,
huh, interesting.
Like, I didn't watch, in full disclosure,
I barely watched any of that game because it was a waste of time
and there was just nothing interesting about that game,
so I didn't watch a ton of it.
But if you go in and just kind of see how that game played out,
like I was kind of following it on the bottom of the screen
because, you know, you look for an opportunity to get in on live bets and shit like that.
And, you know, live bets can happen more when the game's closer or whatever.
I mean, that's a 20 to 13 game with a whole quarter of football to go.
That's a 13 to 10 game at the end of three quarters.
And the only reason you got on the board and turned it into a two-possession game
is because they threw an interception.
And it was a turn for a touchdown.
So I have nothing to say about the Steelers.
I don't find the Steelers interesting.
They are a wallpaper team.
Bears and Panthers, I think you're going to see the Bears score shitload of points.
I don't think they're going to score 59 every week.
I don't think they're going to give up 37 every week.
And I don't think Bryce Young for the Panthers is going to throw 361 yards every week.
I think that division stinks.
It's not a very good division.
I think the Saints are going to win it.
I have adjusted my pick, and even though the Saints are going to be 0-2 after this week,
I pick them to win.
I've adjusted my take to say that's the Saints.
here's the problem we're going to run into.
So the Panthers play the Falcons this week,
which means that somebody in that division is going to have a win
and the Saints will not be one of them.
So we will be behind the eight ball.
I like, look, the Bears have tons of weapons,
and it's been proven that Ben Johnson can coach offense.
Like, that's been proven.
Like, look at what's that.
Now, if you go back to week, I guess it was week two of last year
when Ben Johnson went back to Detroit and Detroit won that game.
And it was like, ha, we don't need Ben Johnson.
And the crowd was chanting,
Fuck Ben Johnson and all that shit.
And hey, rock on.
Like, that was a fun moment.
And the fans were having a good time.
And, hey, cool.
But now you go back and you look at it and go,
who would you rather be offensively right now and whose future would you rather have?
And I'm talking immediate future.
Like right now, who would you rather have?
The bear situation or the lion's situation?
Well, I think we're all kind of taking that bear situation because they've turned Caleb into a dude.
He's mobile.
He can run.
Obviously, he can sling it.
60 points.
I'm not going to overreact to the 60 points because that's the exception, not the rule.
But 59, and they were slinging it.
And look, I don't know if they can stop anybody.
I don't know if it was just that game.
I don't know.
But you look at what the bears have coming up.
Look, this is an interesting matchup this week.
They play the Vikings.
The Vikings, I think the Vikings are due for a letdown.
I think defensively the Vikings are super salty.
and we get that.
But quarterback position is going to be a major issue for them.
And they were able to survive with Homeboy getting a concussion.
They survived one day with that,
but I don't know if that's something that's sustainable.
But the Bears, look, again,
would you rather be the Lions of the Bears right now?
I think I'd rather be the Bears.
Browns and Jags, who cares?
Jags may end up winning that division.
Browns are a waste of time.
Who cares?
I think the Texans will bounce back
because they're too good defensively.
But CJ Stroud is a giant question.
People have been like, hey, do you pay C.J. Stroud?
Is he worth the money that he's going to command?
And eventually, yes, they're going to pay him, right?
I mean, he's going to get that.
He's going to be their guy long term.
Like, I don't think there's any reason to not make him your long term solution.
It's a big investment.
But, like, at this point, what are your other options?
Like, just toil around and find, you know, patch guys until, like, no, he's going to be their quarterback.
But, you know, the defensive part of that,
where you give up 334 passing yards to Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid's got a buck 30 on you and all that.
You're kind of like, huh, I think that that's also going to be an exception, not the rule.
The bills are good offense.
And obviously, Josh Allen's one of the one, two, three best quarterbacks in the NFL.
So, you know, the Texans are going to start facing the Jaguars and they're going to start facing teams that they're really going to be able to impose their will.
This is an interesting matchup for them this week with the Bengals.
You know, they're at home for the Bengals.
Bangles feeling kind of good about themselves,
but as long as the Bengals are healthy, again, T. Higgins,
I mean, you're not getting anything easier when it comes to weapons
and quarterback play.
You know, what break are you getting here?
You got the Bengals.
If Joe Burroughs healthy, Jamar Chase is due to have a giant game.
He had 12 fucking yards last week.
You've got good tied in play.
Mike Gassicki is still, like, sneaky, pretty solid.
Wide receiver play, you're very good if you're the Bengals.
like this and this is a very interesting game for the Texans this week.
I like they very well could be oh and two.
I mean, what's new, that's what they do.
But what I'm more interested in seeing is if what we saw from them defensively was just,
hey, it's the first week of the year and it's Josh Allen and he's making magical plays
or if it's there's a serious issue.
And while the Bengals are a very good offensive team,
if you go out there and give up another 35 points to these guys,
then you start to look and go, okay, maybe we're not the defensive.
defensive team we think we are. As of right now, most people think they're one of the top
two or three defenses in the league, because they have been the top two or three, as long as
they've had Domingo. This is an interesting game this weekend. Dolphins and Raiders, nobody cares
about either one of these. Let's see, Packers and Vikings. The Packers should be ashamed, obviously.
They had a big lead in that game and watched it wither away to back up quarterback play.
but again Jordan loves one of those dudes
because I like Jordan Love
and he's a guy that fills up the stat sheet for you
but at the end of it is Jordan Love somebody
that you believe in to win big
and I don't know that I do
I'll always bet on him but do I believe on him
or believe in him
to do something big
I don't know that I do
Vikings defensively are going to continue to be salty
I don't know how long you survive with backup quarterback
play. I mean, credit to Carson Wins. The guy steadied the ship through three touchdowns. Good for him.
But, you know, and look, there are worse backup quarterbacks to have, right? I mean, look,
you could argue. You might be a better team with Carson Wins as your quarterback over
Kyler Murray. I think that's something you could debate, right? But who knows? But bad loss for
Green Bay. You know, when you knock the starting quarterback out of a game in week one and you're up
big in week one, to lose that game is gross. So that's,
bad news for them. Let's see. Commanders and Eagles. Maybe Jaden Daniel sucks. He might, you know,
just like we talk about how Justin Herbert is pussy whipped. This man is also pussy whipped, but from the
pussy of his mother. I don't know what it is, but like over the, I lost a lot of respect for old
buddy when he's doing the shit with his number and he's like, oh, talking about LSU with, you know,
they're using my number and giving it to other guys and they didn't retire my number.
and it's bullshit and they wouldn't do this to Joe Burrow
and I'm like, bro, I've lost respect for you.
And then you come out and play like shit against the Eagles.
The Eagles are an interesting team.
And the reason the Eagles are interesting is because they're just there.
There's no reason I believe the Eagles are going to win the Super Bowl.
And there's also no reason for me to believe the Eagles aren't going to win nine or ten games.
Like I think that's the issue with the Eagles.
And maybe my Eagles people can tell me this if I'm wrong.
They're just there.
But does anybody believe that the Eagles are?
are a viable Super Bowl threat.
No.
Like I don't think they're riding around Philadelphia right now
saying, hey, we're winning the Super Bowl.
I mean, some of them do that anyway, just cuts.
But is anybody watching the Eagles going,
I feel like we could dominate this thing?
I think like we're one of the best teams in the NFL.
Like, that's not the vibe I get from the Eagles.
The Eagles don't give me the vibe of dominant football team
that can go on to win 14 games.
Like, there are some teams that you can look at
and you can go, well, I think this team could win 14 games
or this team could win eight.
Like they've got a giant gap,
and you could look at both of them and go,
I can see one of the two things happening.
I can see the Eagles winning nine games or like 10 games.
That's like the extent of what the Eagles are.
And like they could kind of quietly sneak into that 11-win territory.
But does anybody believe that the Eagles are a Super Bowl winning type of team?
When you watch the Eagles, they're just kind of there.
And maybe they'll sneak up on it.
people and that division's not really going to be worth a damn right because you've got the commander
skins who like i think jane just doesn't look like the same guy and uh you've got quarterback play there
which is an issue you've got the cowboys and all that but does anybody really believe that the eagles
are a super bowl threat but does anybody really believe that somebody else going to win the division
right like that's the eagle they're just there the eagles are the ultimate steady just there like
hey we're going to win nine games cool we're going to win 10 games probably make the playoffs have
a home playoff game.
Because I don't believe in the Cowboys.
I don't believe in the commander skins.
And I don't, I don't believe in the,
maybe the Giants. Again, maybe that's just week one bias there,
but maybe the Giants.
Cardinals, they're fine, whatever.
They're going to lose a lot of games.
Chargers are just dead beats.
I think we can all agree there.
Cowboys losing to the Giants in week one.
Look, Cowboys are going to do what they do.
They'll probably, you know, get close to playoffs.
Dack stays healthy, they'll probably make the playoffs.
If Dack gets hurt, they won't.
Giants to me are the most intriguing team because I like Jackson DART.
I like Scataboo.
Like, I like the Giants.
I think they've got an adult coaching the team.
Like, I think there's a lot of things to be positive about with the Giants.
Like, they're a team that I look at.
Maybe again, it's recency bias.
Like, I don't see an upside with the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are the same fucking team they always are.
There's no different players on the Cowboy.
They're the same shit.
The Cowboys are the same shit.
as they are every year.
Like, at least the Giants, they're a young team, and you wonder what Jackson Dart can be
and what a scatabove, his brain doesn't get splattered all over the place.
Like, you look at these people and you're like, okay, the giants could be sneaky.
But the Cowboys and the Eagles, they're the same fucking team they always are.
So the Cowboys are going to probably miss the playoffs like they do,
and the Eagles are probably going to win a shitty division or, you know, win 10 games,
win the division like they do.
The commanders had their one moment in the sun, and now they're back to be in the commanders.
There's like, I don't know if there's anything more consistent, assuming health,
as the Cowboys being who they are and the Eagles being who they are.
These are all teams that are just, they didn't change a lot in the off season,
and there's no reason to believe they're going to be any different.
So Cowboys are right there, Eagles are right there,
chargers are right there, like there's a lot of these teams,
the Packers are all right there.
They're all just kind of there.
Didn't change a lot.
why believe they're going to be any different?
But then there's a couple teams who are still on the up.
The bears are on the come up.
Like they're still climbing the ladder.
Like the lions have peaked.
They peaked a couple years ago.
There's no reason to believe the lions are going to be any better than what they've been the last couple years.
They may improve over last year because last year they were a mess.
But the saints are fun because the saints are on the come up and we'll see what Shuck really is.
Maybe he's a bum.
But like we're on the come up and we can see.
there aren't a lot of teams who are on the come-up that have questions that, you know, a lot of teams are just who they are. The Bucs are who they are. The Bengals are interesting because you want to see a full season of Joe Burrow. If you get a full season of Joe Burrow, they're a different team than if you get seven games of Joe Burrow, obviously. But outside of that, you look around the league and there's a lot of teams that I just feel like we know who they are. It's just a matter of whether or not they catch a break in the playoffs or if they sneak in, Cowboys. Like there are very few teams that have like the young quarterback and the young quarterback.
of guys and early on head coach.
You know, the Giants are one of those.
The Saints are one of those.
You know, the Packers, we know who the Packers are.
No, the Panthers are kind of that, but not really.
The Bears are that way.
Like the Bears, like the teams that I find interesting,
because they're still on the Ascent and I don't think we've seen them peak
with their current iteration would be teams like the Bears,
teams like the Saints.
And they're very few like that.
And then there's teams like that we know who they are.
We know who the Ravens are.
If the brakes fall their way, maybe they do something big, but it's Lamar.
It's the playoffs.
Does anybody believe in Lamar in the playoffs?
No.
Does anybody have any interest in the Falcons?
No.
Does anybody have any interest in the Colts?
No.
I think we've seen them.
They've peaked with Daniel Jones.
But that's week one in the NFL.
Lots happening, friends.
