Howdy, Jamokes. What's happening?
Hope your Tuesday is going well. That's where we are right now.
Tuesday at about 9.45 in the morning. That's when I'm starting recording this podcast.
Hello. A lot of stuff to do today.
I'm going to try to get a few pods out for you. I appreciate you guys listening.
Again, tell your buddies about it.
And when you do, send me a message.
DM me.
Email me.
Let me know that you've recruited, that you're out on the trail, that you're on the recruiting trail,
and you're trying to bring new listeners to the Josh Edna Show podcast.
I would truly appreciate that.
And I just, honest to God, guys, I like talking with you. It's cool because, you know, I spent, you know,
a lot of time at radio stations and like at the last station I was at, they finally got a text
line. So I would get constant reaction from people, good, bad, whatever. And it was cool.
Doing a podcast is a little different because we're not getting live reaction from you.
But when you're listening, send me an email, joshnashow at gmail.com, or shoot me a DM and say hello.
I'd appreciate it.
I'd like to hear from you guys.
And there are guys that listen that I chat with pretty regularly, some of the guys that have been around for a long time.
Like if you listen to the podcast at all during the Rona, you remember Spank It, Slap It. He who's most famous for his video talking about
how like, if somebody drops a dollar, just pick it up. It's not hard to be a good person.
And M.W. Solgrove, who we all thought was a mass murdering lunatic at one point, but now
turns out he's just a good dad. They were texting me during the election night. It's like midnight
and I'm getting texts from both of these guys. I'm in a group chat. I'm in a group chat with these two jamokes. So I've even become buddies
with a lot of people that listen to the podcast. So we're a family here, a familia. So make sure
you reach out and say hello. DMs on Instagram, email joshannashow at gmail.com and let's go.
Let's have a conversation.'s be buds let's be
cool i mean look people like ace gilmore been around forever right and i see her pop up in
pk and denise's chats and by the way if you don't listen to pk and denise pk and dk you should too
because whenever they do stuff they're fun and they're a really good friend so there you go all
right let's take a look at what happened in the NFL this weekend now that the full week is over Monday night football for your boy by the way not necessarily lucrative because I missed a
couple of first quarter bets and when those don't hit you're already behind the eight ball but last
night most of my shit was looking dead like I took the uh the 500 combined passing yards and at one
point at halftime I was so pissed because I thought that that wasn't
going to hit that I drove back over to Illinois to put in another second half bet and that was just
the the live passing yards for Matt Stafford which he hit with ease because he ended up at 293
but I also for some reason doubled down on the 500 yards because it was plus 800 on DraftKings
so for the two quarterbacks to combine for 500 yards at halftime,
which at the time I want to say one of them had like 97
and the other had 87.
So I want to say they were at like 160-something yards, I think.
It might have been a little bit – it may have been a little bit more.
No, actually, I don't think so because Stafford took them down the field
at the end of the half and picked up most of his first half passing yards there.
So I'm pissed at this point, but I'm like, I'm going to double down because it's plus 800.
Put 50 bucks on 500 combined passing yards.
All right. Now, last drive of the game, the Rams are down 11 and I'm about 60 or so yards away from hitting 500 and Stafford's kind of
dinking and dunking converting oh there's a holding penalty we're talking about miracles
there's a holding penalty that moved them back 10 yards dinking dunking dinking dunking
they pick up nine yards on a pass play and then throw i want to say one or two for the end zone
and then decided to kick the field goal to cut it to eight with less than 40 seconds to go
you want to talk about a miracle that got matt stafford to 293 yards. Tua was at 207.
Do the math.
It was exactly 500 yards.
So not only did I hit my initial 500 bet on FanDuel,
I then won the live bet I put on it at plus 800. I tell you guys, live bets are a good time.
You're not going to win them all,
but I think you have a better chance
and usually get better value on a lot of live bets. I hit both of those the problem is I also missed on a
lot of first quarter bets like somehow Cooper Cup didn't have 13 receiving yards in the first
quarter there's also some other fun ones I take I like taking you know certain dudes to have one
catch every quarter like when it's a dude like Jamar Chase you're almost guaranteed to hit that, and it's usually plus money. I also won on Cooper Cup and Puka Nakua to have 20 receiving yards in each half.
That one hit literally on the last play of the first half.
Puka had a catch at the end of the half that got him over 20, and then Puka came out and
hit it early in this third quarter, and Cooper, I think, also hit it in the third quarter,
so it was pretty easy.
Those are fun things.
If you're looking for ones that you're – if you're someone that's not necessarily
like a hardcore better that's looking to take spreads, lines, overs,
I would look at stuff like that.
It keeps you engaged.
I lost on some of those last night as well, though.
Like I had – I think I had both quarterbacks to throw for 40 yards in each quarter.
That didn't happen.
So, look, you're not always going to hit them,
but they tend to have pretty good value.
They're usually in the plus 150, plus 200 range.
Well, the one I hit with, you want to talk about a steal.
The Puka and Cooper Cup to have 20 yards in each half,
thing was plus 400.
That's just 20 yards in each half.
That's a catch for each of those guys so that ended up being the layup and that was plus 375 put like 75 bucks on that it paid out three something so
um things like that really work out so you're looking for fun things like that that one I
believe was on FanDuel but I think on FanDuel and DraftKings you can find both of those things but anyway so game last night I am the Dolphins are
hanging around and in the AFC you can survive at three and six right now in the NFC you can't like
I was looking at the bottom of the NFC and you're like well the Saints aren't going anywhere the
Panthers aren't going anywhere the Giants aren't going anywhere if you're buried in the NFC you're
buried because the seventh best team in the league
currently are in the division and the conference right now is the Packers, and they've got
six wins.
So if you're a three-win team like the Saints, a three-win team like Carolina, if you're
a two- or three-win team like the Giants, I guess the Giants have two wins, you have
no chance.
It's over.
You're dead.
Not that those teams really had a chance anyway because they're not good football teams, but
you say, do we have an outside shot and you look inside your divisions and like a team like
the saints for instance isn't going to do anything in that division all i guess they're now three
behind atlanta who leads that division and tampa keeps losing so but if you're a team like the
saints and i know i keep going back to them because they're my team if they would have fired this
dipshit denn Dennis Allen before you
know before they lost seven in a row maybe they steal a couple games in there and instead of
having three wins they have five wins and then you're in the division race I mean shit like
can I tell you something that just drives like I'm like again season's over I get that the season's
over I'm not overly worked up about it anymore I want them to keep losing I need them to keep
losing I need them to have a high draft pick the results of games this year don't matter and the last thing I
need is for the Saints to be like you know what um we like what this interim coach did we're just
gonna keep him around like no you're gonna go find a real fucking NFL head coach and a GM and
you're gonna start rebuilding this shit but anyway what anno annoys me is like Young-Huei Ku,
the kicker of the Atlanta Falcons.
This dude earlier this year beat the Saints
on like a 60-plus yard field goal at the Horn, right?
This week against the Saints,
now that the Saints have lost seven in a row
and the season's over,
this asshole misses three kicks
and a couple of them are chippies
and he's missing them.
That's just the plight of being a fan
of the New Orleans Saints.
That's the difficulty of being a fan
of the New Orleans Saints.
It's bullshit.
It's a hard knock life for us.
But anyway, so all that to say,
if you look around football,
well, I'll get more into that Saints thing
as we go down through each game from this week,
but if you look around, AFC, three and six, you're alive.
If you look at the standings, the playoff standings,
winning that game kept the Dolphins alive,
and in reality, the Dolphins are still a talented team,
and if Tua's brain's not scrambled, he plays well.
He played a good game last night,
but if you look at the Dolphins, they sit at 3-6.
Currently, the Broncos are the seventh seed, and they're 5-5.
And the Broncos have lost a couple in a row,
and they're starting to come back to earth.
Although they should have, could have, would have beat the Chiefs, they didn't, so they're 5-5.
The Colts are still in it, although I think the Colts have really shit this one away.
Look, I can acknowledge when I'm wrong.
I was wrong that Joe Flacco was going to win them games.
I wasn't wrong about the idea of playing Joe Flacco
because I don't believe their quarterback, Anthony Richardson,
was going to win them any games.
So I stand by that.
It's possible to be right and wrong at the same time.
I was right that they weren't going to win with Anthony Richardson.
I was wrong that they would be better and more competitive
and win some games with Joe Flacco.
I was wrong. They've sucked the last two weeks offensively. Their issues of rot run much deeper
than this. I still don't think Anthony Richardson's going to be a good quarterback. I don't know why
people are pitying this guy so much. I've never seen a guy get so much sympathy for getting
benched, and I have no idea why. But there was a video of Kevin Stefanski hugging him after the Vikings game.
And he's like, you're going to be a great player in this league, man.
Don't worry.
And the whole internet's in love with this.
Like, see, the other coaches get it.
Why don't I?
Do you think they ever hug a guy after a game and go, let me tell you something, dog.
You should find a new line of work.
I don't think football's for you.
Like, what world do you think this is?
That doesn't happen.
That's what these guys tell
everybody they hug a guy and say hey you're a great player man like you're one of the best 53
players and you're one of the best players in the world because you play in the NFL that's what they
tell people no coach goes up and hugs an opposing player and says hey dude uh have you ever considered
best buy like I think maybe that might be for you nobody does that but the fact
that the whole internet was like see even this coach gets it they know we fucked him up it's
football bro you got pros you're trying to win games you got coaches who have a very short shelf
life now and they're trying to win fucking games to keep their job that's the thing nobody seems
to understand is like there's a bunch of dudes on these football teams that are not the 22 year old
quarterback who can sit around and lose for three years and keep a job there's a bunch of dudes on these football teams that are not the 22-year-old quarterback who can sit around and lose for three years and keep a job.
There's a lot of dudes that are trying to keep a job today and win today.
It's kind of the thing that Micah Parsons was saying.
Where he's talking about, what's his name, the offensive lineman.
And he's like, look, man, like, dude wants to win now.
We're trying to win games for these dudes now.
You know, Mike McCarthy might get fired, find another job next week.
Who knows about dudes that have been around 10 years as players,
and they may not have another chance.
They want to win games now.
So that's the hard part.
That's what's going on with the Bears right now.
You look at the Bears, and they've fallen off a cliff, obviously,
and part of it's because their all-world quarterback with his paint and nails and his satchels
and his purses and everything else isn't very good.
And you've got players from the Bears now,
allegedly, if you believe this report,
who wanted the offensive coordinator fired
and they want Tyson Bajent to play.
That's where it is for the Bears now,
that there are veterans, and that's a key word.
There are veterans that want him to play.
Why do the veterans want him to play? I don't know, because they want to win fucking football games. They're not winning with Caleb. I mean, look at the Bears right now. They are
10th in payroll in the NFL. They are a top 10 payroll team. Their wide receiver room includes
a guy who was outstanding in college and is a rookie this year in Roma Dunze,
and it includes DJ Moore
and Keenan Allen those are legitimate NFL receivers you can't sit around and wait for
your quarterback to develop when you've got legit NFL receivers these aren't young dudes that are
growing with the organization these are dudes who are paid well they are well compensated
professional players who are there to win football games today. They are there to hit their numbers so they can get their bonuses today. They cannot sit around
while you groom this quarterback. Is that fair? I don't know. It's kind of a weird double-edged
sword because you want to take a guy number one and you want to give him every resource to succeed.
You want to have the playmakers around him because maybe that'll make life easier. But on the other
hand, when you go through your inevitable growing pains unless you're Washington when you go through your inevitable
growing pains what happens you got a bunch of high dollar dudes who want to win now and are stuck
watching this guy who may never develop and that's the double-edged sword you've got a coach who's
trying to win games to keep his fucking job and that's what you're dealing with with the bears
right now.
It is a massive double-edged sword.
And I saw somebody post this.
I forgot if it was Dan Orlovsky or somebody.
I forgot who it was.
But it was someone who said
that we don't have a quarterback development problem.
We have a not giving coaches enough time problem.
And I think there's some validity to that.
You know why you get Joe Flacco playing
and the reason why you got guys wanting Tyson Bajan?
It's because coaches know their leash is short.
Now, I think we've seen enough of Matt Eberflus to know that he's not any good,
but there is pressure on these teams and these coaches to win because we're firing coaches really quick.
So I think it goes both ways.
So when you look at a situation like the Bears, like, dude, as a gambler, I love Tyson Bajent.
The guy always hit the yards for me.
I watched him beat the Saints, I think, won the game against the Bears.
But Tyson Bajent last year just marched up and down the field against them early in the dome.
So, like, I like Tyson Bajent.
And I wouldn't doubt, much like I felt about Flacco.
And I was wrong about that, so take it for what it is.
But Tyson Bajent might give them a better shot to win games.
And his dad arm wrestles. That's sweet's sweet over the top I turn my head around it's like but in that situation I think he probably does give them a better chance to win and how do you
balance that if you're a coach when it's like listen we're falling off a cliff I'm getting
fired at the end of this year like if I'm Eberflus at this point and I feel like I'm getting fired at the end of this year. Like if I'm Eberflus at this point, and I feel like I'm getting whacked anyway, fuck it. But maybe the decision is above you.
Maybe the decision is that of the GM and maybe the GM's like, the fuck you are playing Bajan.
We're rolling with our quarterback that we drafted. So it is an interesting situation there.
All right. If you're ready to win some real cash during the basketball playoffs,
you got to check out Pick 6 from
DraftKings.
When it comes to basketball payouts, DraftKings Pick 6 posterizes the competition, including
prize picks.
It's a very simple concept.
Hit all your picks and score higher minimum payouts on Pick 6, plus even more cash if
you outscore the competition.
Pick 6 is available in most states
including Missouri California Texas Georgia and more and I absolutely love it look every night
we're going to be having playoff basketball every night so when you're sitting around and you might
not have interest in a particular game let's say you're a fan of a particular team they're not
playing that night here's how you make it a little bit more fun for the other games build a little lineup there with pick six it's really great me and my wife do it all the time so
make sure you do it and new players get 50 in pick six credits instantly on just a five dollar entry
download the draft kings pick six app now and use code inNES, that's my name, I-N-N-E-S, for new customers to play.
$5, get 50 in Pick 6 credits.
Better payouts, bigger wins, only with Pick 6 from DraftKings.

pick six dot draft kings dot com slash promos and you're seeing it around the league except in
washington which currently is just bizarre just like again they lost last week and they won by a
miracle against the bears so i mean they very well could be a six and three team or six and four
whatever their record would be at that point.
Let me see what their actual record is.
Currently, Washington's 7-3.
So could they be 6-4?
Sure.
But 6-4, 7-3, it doesn't matter.
The Redskins have been the comeback turnaround story of the season, right?
We can all agree with that.
And that's because of Jaden Daniels.
But if you look at it, I think it runs a little bit deeper than that.
First of all, Jaden Daniels has been good, and we knew he he was good at lsu that's why he won the heisman now heisman
doesn't guarantee you'll be good look at caleb williams but the situation he came into was an
adult situation and it's just worked out spectacularly it's like the polar opposite of
what you're seeing with caleb where nobody really has any faith in Eber Flus. They're already firing the offensive coordinator. Both teams have veteran playmaker type receivers. Scary Terry McLaurin up in Washington. You've got the playmakers in Chicago. You've got historically bad ownership in Washington, but there's new ownership now. It's kind of like a new, they've turned over a new leaf, if you will. But you look at what he went into, and this is why I think it's been easier
for him to have success versus what you're seeing with Caleb. Now, maybe Caleb's a total flake and
he's never going to have success. That's also very possible, right? But if you look at what
Washington has, they've got Dan Quinn at head coach. That's a guy that's been there before.
He's coached a good quarterback. He's obviously a defensive Quinn at head coach that's a guy that's been there before he's coached a good
quarterback he's obviously a defensive minded head coach but he's been there you could argue
he's learned from his mistakes and he's saw what works and is able to push that forward and he
looks at what failed for him and he can learn from that but importantly also you get an offensive
coordinator like Cliff Kingsbury Cliff Kingsburybury, who is an offensive-minded guy, obviously,
and has been an NFL head coach and a college head coach.
So you've got a staff already that's got guys who are pros,
guys who are dudes that have been around the game for a long time.
It's not guys who have no track record at all.
Like, we can knock Cliff for what the record was in Arizona,
but Cliff is a very good offensive coach.
Dan Quinn was a successful coach in atlanta so uh it didn't work out at the end but nothing ever does when you get fired which everybody inevitably does it's because something failed
bill belichick got fired people get fired so all that to say that the situations that the bears are
facing versus the situation that was Bears are facing versus the situation
that Washington is facing with their two young quarterbacks are two totally different scenarios,
similar in some ways, but different. And now you look at a team like Chicago,
and Chicago is like, what the fuck do we do? And you got players wanting another guy to play.
And I don't blame them because you're trying to win games and as we noted in the NFC if you look around the NFC and in the standings in the NFC like the Bears are still right there
they are currently uh two games behind uh Green Bay and I still think they have to do they have
to face Green Bay twice still so anyway um standings wise AFC far more wide open in terms of sneaking in in
the seven because I think Denver is going to continue to lose and I will enjoy watching Denver
lose and then again that's why last night's game for a team but you know you look at Miami Miami
is only two back of Denver so the door is not closed Cincinnati is only a game behind Denver
the door is not closed so uh keep all that game behind Denver. The door is not closed.
So keep all that in mind.
All right, let's look at some of the other stuff going around.
Let's look at some of these other games in the NFL from this week.
Obviously, we had the epic game with the Bengals and Ravens.
If the Ravens, or Bengals rather, could have won just one of these games against the Ravens.
Holy shit.
But they didn't.
There was a lot of passing yards at least.
So that was good for me
Patriots and Bears like a giant waste of everyone's time at this point I don't know if Drake May is
going to be any good or not I mean look you want the truth I haven't watched enough of the fucking
guy like I watch a lot of people that I bet on because like let me tell you what betting will do
and I think also playing fantasy football helps with this as well I've never played fantasy football
tried it once or twice wasn't for me like waking up on sunday morning and making like lineups and
shit just isn't my bag but like it helps you focus on players and learn more about them the issue is
i don't bet on anybody in games involving the patriots because they're terrible and boring and
i'm not interested and i don't bet on players in Bears games other than DeAndre Swift, who didn't come through for me this week. So screw
him. But so Patriots and Bears, nah. Bills and Colts, my man, the flacky man, look, I went with
it. It's obviously a failed experiment right now. Maybe they'll keep riding with him. There's got
to be more to it with Anthony Richardson, but Anthony Richardson also looks like he sucks.
So I get that the whole world's clamoring for him again,
and oh my God, you've got to give him a chance.
I just don't think he's any good.
They drafted a guy in the top five who was a project.
They're like, maybe he'll be good, maybe he won't.
So maybe he won't.
And the Bills have the Chiefs this week.
In these regular season, Bills-Chiefs games mean nothing.
Well, if the Bills want to have any chance of being the top seed, they'd have to win this game against the undefeated Chiefs this week, in these regular season Bills-Chiefs games mean nothing. And, well, if the Bills want to have any chance of being the top seed,
they'd have to win this game against the undefeated Chiefs.
But do it in the playoffs.
Like, that's the issue that you run into with Josh Allen,
and people are like, oh, Josh Allen's the MVP of the league.
Like, do it in the regular season all you want.
But at some point, when you're in the dance, you've got to advance,
and he doesn't do that.
So you've got to beat the Chiefs. You've got to got to beat my homes you got to slay the dragon for me now speaking of the dragon the chiefs the way the chiefs are going undefeated this year
and this is a comp that nobody else will get but it's a chiefs comp in 2003 the chiefs started the
season nine and oh and you'd watch the way they beat some teams they
throttle some of them but then you'd kind of watch them and their offense was very good this is like
early days of offenses being good it's not like now where everybody spreads it out and 500 yards
passing is common like the Chiefs this was still in the era of running backs you know dominating
the league and they had a good one, a guy named Priest Holmes.
But that team, I believe, started 9-0.
And the last win, the one that got them to 9-0,
was an overtime victory against the Packers.
And it was one in overtime.
The Chiefs got the ball at midfield after a turnover and play action, like 50-yard touchdown
to a gentleman by the name of Johnny
Morton, I believe. It was either Johnny Morton who caught it or it may have been, I forgot who the
other guy was. It might have been Eddie Kennison. But either way, they got to 9-0. Then they finished
that season 13-3. So they finished 4-3. But the reason I bring it up is because that particular
team just kind of skirted by in a couple games to get to 9-0,
got a bye, lost a playoff game to the Colts at Arrowhead,
a game in which neither team punted.
It's a stupid piece of information that I possess.
I just know a lot about the 2003 Kansas City Chiefs, whatever.
But this 9-0 team has gotten by.
To block a short field goal to win a game is a miracle.
That doesn't happen.
You rarely block field goals, particularly ones that are that short.
Sometimes things are just going your way.
Offensively, Kansas City, to me, is still a not broken football team,
but they're a flawed football team offensively.
They've cut back on the turnovers with Mahomes,
I mean, a little bit,
but he still has turned the ball over more times than he hasn't
in terms of games played this year.
That's the thing about the AFC, man.
If you told me in a playoff game the Bengals would line up against the Chiefs,
I think the Bengals could beat them.
I know the Bengals could beat them.
The Chiefs are just kind of Bengals could beat them. I know the Bengals could beat them.
The Chiefs are just kind of pulling rabbits out of their hat.
Will this be the week that it comes to an end?
You got to go to Buffalo.
You know the place is going to be jacked up.
You're their big bad wolf.
I don't know.
I know that I don't believe the Chiefs are great.
I don't know that any team in the AFC is great.
But for as not great as I think they are, guess what they did?
Opening night of the season, found a way to beat Baltimore.
What did they do yesterday or two days ago with the game on the line?
They block a field goal.
Sometimes things just work out for you.
And obviously you've got Mahomes and obviously you've got Andy Reid and you've added DeAndre Hopkins.
Kelsey is back to getting 60, 70 yards a game.
He's catching tuds now.
He's the all-time Chiefs touchdown leader, I believe.
So they've got their guys, and their guys are doing what they do.
But once you get into the playoffs, it's hard to go against Mahomes.
But right now, if you said they could line up in the playoffs,
I think the Bengals could beat them,
which seems absurd because the Bengals are four and six,
but the Bengals should have beaten them earlier this year.
You want to talk about all the lucky breaks?
I mean, there should have, could have, would have
been a pass interference in that game.
They didn't call it.
Or there should have, would have not been a pass interference,
I believe is how it went, if I recall correctly.
They called a pass interference that wasn't a pass interference,
or it was iffy, and they gave them the benefit.
So, I mean, you're talking about barely beating the Bengals,
barely beating the Ravens.
They did it.
But those two teams, I believe, could beat them in the playoffs.
Could the Bills?
I just don't believe the Bills can because I don't believe in Josh Allen.
Broncos, obviously, on the losing end of that game.
And I enjoy watching them lose.
And I enjoy watching them lose, because I hate Sean Payton.
And in 10 years, whenever he's no longer the coach of the Broncos,
and we can all look back on the Saints winning the Super Bowl and the 15 great years the Saints had, I will love him.
But I enjoy watching his cocky ass get his dick knocked in the dirt with the Broncos.
It brings me joy.
Because Mr. Sean Payton was all big and bad and dick swinging whenever he had Drew Brees.
When he didn't have Drew Brees, he's like, I don't think I want to coach anymore.
And then magically wanted to coach again.
Who knew?
And I hope they continue to lose.
Falcons and Saints, we talked about that.
I enjoy the Falcons.
The Falcons, it was more about what the Falcons didn't do
as opposed to what the Saints did do in that game.
Falcons turned it over too much, missed a lot of field goals.
Falcons should have won that game
and they may look back on that and rue the day.
Fortunately for them, the Buccaneers continue to fall.
They're four and six now.
So you're two games up on the Tampa.
And the 49ers, maybe they'll figure it out, but they still seem like a mess.
How about that dipshit Debo fighting the kicker and the holder, the deep snapper?
What the fuck are you doing, dude? Stop being a dickhead.
I'm kind of enjoying the implosion of the 49ers.
Because they're also the bridesmaid.
They can't get past the Chiefs. they get there and they can't beat them i enjoy watching the 49ers seemingly implode from the inside
you know that's why when you look at teams like the eagles like they had their drama early in the
year and i get that a lot of people still hate sirianni i don't like sirianni either maybe they've
benefited from a very weak schedule the last month and a half since their drama went down with Sirianni yelling at the fans.
All that can be true.
But another thing can be true, and that thing that can be true
is that the Eagles are just quietly stacking wins.
Now, if they played a really good football team in the playoffs,
would they beat them?
I don't know.
Hell, they might not beat the Redskins or the Commanders or whatever the hell they are so who knows but they've quietly come around and they're
quietly you want to talk about a quiet seven and two like we talk about teams like Washington and
it's a huge story that they're seven and three like we talk about that all the time like oh wow
look at that they've come out of nowhere and the Chargers are starting to make a little noise so
people are talking about them and people are surprised by the Cardinals being 6-4 atop the NFC West.
The Vikings, despite the fact that they haven't played good football
the last couple of weeks, they haven't played particularly good football.
And Sam Darnold's been mediocre, and they didn't score a touchdown last week.
They're still 7-2 with Sam fucking Darnold.
So they're all making news.
The Eagles, I feel like they are truly just an under the radar. Like, oh, just quietly beat the
Cowboys 34-6. Yes, the Cowboys suck. Yes, it was Cooper Rush and Trey Lance. So again, there's
nothing to be made of beating the Cowboys by a lot because the Cowboys are 0-4 at home. They get
blasted by like 30 a game at home.
They suck.
We know they suck.
Dak's out for the rest of the year.
It's a disaster.
But just quietly, since the whole world was melting over the Eagles about a month and a half ago, and Sirianni needed to be fired,
and he's fighting with the fans, ever since then,
when they struggled to beat the Browns, which was a win, by the way,
all they've done is, look, you play who's on your schedule, right?
And they've played the teams on their schedule,
and for the most part, they've throttled them.
After that Browns game where everybody's worked up,
you throttle the Giants the way you should throttle the Giants.
You beat them by 25, you don't give up a touchdown.
You beat the Bengals, a pretty explosive offensive football team.
You score 37 against them and beat them by 20.
You're up big
on the Jaguars and you let it slip a little bit. Arguably, you should have lost that game. I think
that in that situation, Trevor Lawrence made a bad decision late in the game. They had plenty of time.
They had the whole playbook and he throws a bad interception, but you want it. In the same way,
we talk about teams like the Chiefs. The Chiefs should not win a football game in which a guy has
a short chip shot field goal to beat them, they blocked it they made it happen right Eagles quietly seven
and two then they dismantle the Cowboys now you've got this fun game against the commanders on
Thursday and we'll see like we'll see if the commanders the commanders are interesting to me
as well because you look at the commanders and you go can they continue doing what they're doing if you look at the schedule that they've got coming
up let me look at the commander's schedule really quick here the Washington commander skins
so you look at their schedule they've got the eagles they're going to beat the cowboys
then they've got the titans who they're going to beat the saints they got the eagles again
they got I mean you look at the schedule for the Commander's games.
Like, if you go back and look at this,
like, I don't know how good the Commanders are
or just how bad the schedule is,
but the Commanders have played a dogshit schedule.
And the two decent teams they've –
actually, the three decent teams they've played have beaten them.
So, look, this is one of those great benefits of playing a shitty schedule right but they've lost to the buccaneers
and the buccaneers are one of the decent teams i'd put in there they beat the giants who are
terrible they've beaten the bangles who are under 500 that's still a good win to me like you're
able to beat joe i think it's a good win they beat the cart and i say that the cardinals are over 500
too so but browns are terrible they've lost to the ravens they beat the panthers they beat the Cardinals. And I say that. The Cardinals are over.500 too. But Browns are terrible.
They've lost to the Ravens.
They beat the Panthers.
They beat the Bears.
They beat the Giants.
They lost.
I mean, dude, you want to talk about a great game.
Rusty Wilson continues to go out and impress.
Look, you don't have to like the guy.
You can think he's a cornball.
You can say he's dopey.
Say all that shit about him.
Say whatever you want.
I find him to be nerdy and dopey too.
But what does he do? whole world's against him he's played three games now I believe with
Pittsburgh and all he's done is gone out and win those games and play really fucking well in those
games and the throw he made to win that game was fucking nails man that was nails so give him
credit and then you know they lost that game to Washington. So, again, then they've got the Eagles.
Once you get past the Eagles on this schedule, and again, you got them twice.
So, look, it's laid out there for you if you're Washington.
If you want to win that division, there it is.
Let us also not forget they shouldn't have beaten the Bears.
So, I mean, I think we're overhyping Washington to an extent.
But still, Jane Daniels has played his dick off,
and you play who's on your schedule,
and you're over 500, and you're playing good football.
Ultimately, though, on the road, the Eagles should win that game.
The Eagles are the veteran team.
The Eagles, I'm not going to say they necessarily have the better quarterback,
but they've got the veteran quarterback.
They've been there before.
Washington hasn't.
On the road
the Eagles at home like this should be a situation where the Eagles beat that team let me see what
the line is in that game I haven't really looked at any of the lines for this week yet
uh it's a three and a half point spread I think the Eagles should win that game and to me they
should win it big if like I think you win that one if you're Eagles, then I think you get the Philly people back on board.
I think a lot of the Philly people are still skeptical
because every time I mention something about the Eagles on social media,
it's, yeah, but we still fucking suck and Sirianni.
And that could all be true.
But what's also true is you're 7-2.
And you are in the mix currently to get a bye.
You're in the mix. Now, doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get the bye, but you're in the mix currently to get a bye. You're in the mix.
Now, that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get the bye,
but you're in the mix.
And considering where things were about a month and a half ago,
you should feel pretty good,
especially when you look at the schedule you've got coming up,
and there's some winnable games, obviously.
You look around the NFC, there's Detroit.
Detroit, more than likely, is going to be your number one seed.
And to me, Detroit, and I've said this before,
Detroit, Baltimore, Kansas City are the three teams I think can win the Super Bowl.
And as of right now, nobody else has changed my mind on that.
Those are the three teams that could do it.
That I would at least say they could.
Don't buy Buffalo.
And if they could figure out anything in Cincinnati,
particularly defensively, I think they could.
But right now they can't.
I'm also loving watching Pittsburgh play.
You know, Pittsburgh is plus 69 point differential.
If you look at the points they've allowed,
it's one of the best in the league.
Like, just kind of quietly.
If you look around, they've given up 146 points.
You look around the league.
Let's see if anybody's given up less than 146 points.
The Los Angeles Chargers have given up 118.
Let's see.
There's one team in the NFL that's given up fewer points this year than Pittsburgh,
and it's the Chargers, who I also think are quietly playing good football
that some are starting to notice, but not really a ton of people are noticing.
And I'm loving watching them play.
Dude, Justin Herbert's lighting it up right now.
So they're sort of Eagles-like in the sense that they're just kind of under the weather.
They play a lot of these kind of secondary or third-tier games every week
that the whole world doesn't see. The Chargers are solid, man. under the weather they play a lot of these kind of secondary or third tier games every week that
the whole world doesn't see the chargers are solid man and i'm enjoying watching them play
but much like some of these other teams that haven't really gotten into the the crux of their
schedule or the meat i think the chargers still have to face kansas city twice let me make sure
on that i might be wrong you look at the schedule. They got the Bengals coming up.
Boy, you talk about here's a fucking stretch.
Now, here's where the rubber meets the road to use a shitty cliche.
You got the Bengals at home this week.
That's Sunday night football.
Then you've got the Ravens at home.
That's Monday night football.
Then you're at the Falcons.
Then you're taking on the Chiefs in prime time sunday night football
then you've got the buccaneers who are still a passable nfl team they're losing more games lately
but they're in these games they have a chance to win them um a couple of breaks just haven't
gone their way but they could win some of these games and they're beat up particularly in their
wide receiver course so so we're going to see what the charges are.
The Chargers have actually played the Chiefs once already,
so they still have to play the Chiefs.
I mean, look, now if you can get to the back end of this
where you get the Broncos, Patriots, and Raiders,
you'd go, okay, we're in good shape.
They've got a gauntlet coming up.
Bengals, Ravens, Falcons, Chiefs,
and I'd throw the Bucs in there.
So, and a lot of primetime games.
So the world's going to get to see here over the next couple of weeks
if the Chargers are worth a shit or not.
We shall see.
And they should have beaten the Arizona Cardinals a couple weeks ago.
They should be riding a four-game winning streak,
a five-game winning streak, rather.
But just kind of quietly doing it.
Again, though, you look at the teams they've beaten,
and you'd go, okay, wow, they beat the Raiders.
Wow, they beat the Panthers.
Wow, they beat the Broncos.
Wow, they beat the Saints.
You know, wow, they beat the Browns.
Wow, they beat the Titans.
And that is fair.
But you have to, when you watch these teams against bad teams,
you have to watch the way they beat them.
They beat the Saints by 18 points. That's what you're supposed to do against a bad team them they beat the Saints by 18 points that's
what you're supposed to do against a bad team they beat the Browns by 17 points they beat the Titans
by 10 and it wasn't really 10 the Titans scored really late it was a 17 point game so they're
doing what they should do against these teams but the Chargers are an interesting team to me
but around the league I mean we mentioned the AFC there's a lot of teams still in the afc because
no one's pulled away at the bottom half nfc not necessarily the case let me see if there's any
games that i missed on here from this week to talk about we did the eagles vikings and jags i mean
i took the touchdown bet this week all the teams to score touchdowns thanks for nothing vikings
and uh thanks for nothing was it oh oh yeah it was the
bears thanks for nothing to you dickheads and the cowboys i guess so thanks for nothing cowboys boy
what a shitty week thanks for nothing jets holy shit it went even close i'm we all enjoy watching
the jets demise do we know if the cardinals are actually good or not we'll see they're another
one of those teams where like if you looked at the teams they've played,
you'd probably go, okay, that checks.
I mean, they've lost to the Bills.
They've lost to the Lions.
They've lost to Washington.
They've lost to the Packers.
The teams they've beaten are the Rams.
Well, they beat the 49ers, but the 49ers have sputtered all year.
Well, they've got some decent wins in here.
They're pretty close ones, but they've won a couple of them.
So we shall see.
But I'm looking forward
to this Eagles-Commanderskins game this weekend because it's kind of a good barometer. You see
if Washington is really something. And we'll see if the Eagles are back or if they were just beating
up on dopes. We'll see. And then, of course, the Lions and the Texans. That game was a disaster
for the Texans. Fortunately for them, they play in a horrible division,
so they're going to win that division.
But I think their chances of winning the Super Bowl are essentially nil.
I mean, we were all riding high on them, but they've crashed back down to earth.
Losing Nico was huge.
Offensive line issues were huge.
Now, this week, I don't think the offensive line was a massive issue.
I mean, yeah, you took some sacks.
That happens.
Your offensive line was a bigger issue, and your goddamn left tackle's causing a fumble
and stripping the ball from his own goddamn quarterback.
That's a bigger issue.
But all that said, I think big picture, the Texans,
they're not going to blow the division.
It'd be almost impossible to do it at this point
because nobody else wants to win games there,
but you're going to beat the Cowboys.
You're going to beat the Titans.
You should beat the Jaguars on the road.
Like, the good news for the Texans is You're going to beat the Cowboys. You're going to beat the Titans. You should beat the Jaguars on the road.
The good news for the Texans is,
outside of that back-to-back with the Chiefs and Ravens,
if you're 6-4 now,
this schedule, the way it plays out for the last seven games for you,
there's at least, to me, four games that should be guaranteed wins. So the Texans should be a 10-win team at least.
Should beat the Cowboys. If you don't beat the Cowboys, a team that just got walloped in their own barn, a team that has
no quarterback play, a team that's infighting, a team that's blowing up, if you don't win that,
then just forfeit the rest of the season. You suck. Titans are terrible. If you can't if you can't be will levis or mason rudolph come on jaguars by
then may have fired their coach so these next three should be as get righty games as get right
games could be figure your shit out you win these three you're at nine and four you're feeling good
again then i mean i the dolphins like the dolphins are dangerous if they stay committed and they
still want to play,
I think the Dolphins can beat a lot of teams,
especially if they're playing at home.
That game is on the road, but it's inside.
So a team like the Dolphins, who seem to struggle more
when they get into the elements of December,
they get to play inside at Houston,
and Houston's not a tough place to play right now,
and you're inside, so who knows?
But you look at the next four
games worst case you're three and one best case you're four and oh at that point you've got 10
wins and you've got three games left on the scale actually i did the math wrong on this one two three
four five there you there's five games in here that you should be five four and one chiefs and
ravens will see i look i'm not going to take the Texans
to go into Arrowhead Stadium December 21st
and beat Kansas City
and then bounce back five days, four days later
and play the Ravens.
That is a miserable back-to-back
at the end of the season.
So they may lose both of those.
Best case, maybe a split.
But even if you lose to the Chiefs and the Ravens
and you win the other games on your schedule,
you're an 11-win team.
So who you beat matters in that,
in which case you wouldn't have had
too many quality victories in there.
The Bills would be a quality victory.
Outside of that, it's kind of like, eh.
But I mean, you play who's on the schedule.
They're professional teams.
You've got to play them.
But this is a four-game stretch here now
where this next three games,
these should all be wins.
There is no reason for you to go to Jacksonville and lose in three weeks.
There's no reason to lose at home to the Titans on the 24th.
There's no reason to lose to the Cowboys on Monday.
Zero.
So win those three.
Home against the Dolphins.
We'll see what happens in mid-December.
That's where the Texans are right now.
So there you go.
All right.
I'll try to get some more stuff out there for you guys today.
I appreciate you all listening.
You're beautiful.
You're lovely.
I love you.
