Starting point is 00:00:00 LSU's in a position where they don't have a fucking quarterback at this point. That's a fucking mess. You want something to make fun of Lane Kiffin for? Like, Lane Kiffin's portal work has been great this year. Like, apparently LSU's got a top two or three portal class. They ain't got a fucking quarterback. You want to talk about something really interesting about just how fucked up that... Like, this is one of the most unique situations.
Starting point is 00:00:20 We will never see this again. Because they will change the rules of the portal and the calendar. There's no way they will let this shit happen. it again. But think about this. So a couple nights ago, LSU, if you want full-on breakdowns of the shit, my buddy Matt does a great job. And I know that this is LSU related, but this could be anywhere. This is big picture college football shit. And it's pretty fascinating. So a couple nights ago, LSU's playing a home basketball game against South Carolina and Sam Levitt, the quarterback from Arizona State is in town. And apparently LSU's hot and heavy for this guy. They want him. He's the number one
Starting point is 00:00:58 quarterback in the portal, which is odd to me, but he is. He's fine. I used to bet on him at Arizona State. Nice player has an injury recovering from all that foot injury. And they're, at the LSU game. They've taken him to a nice dinner. His parents are in town. They're having a great fucking time. And that's right around the time the DeMond Williams shit breaks. They're sitting courtside at an LSU basketball game. The DeMond Williams shit breaks. Apparently LSU's hot and heavy on DeMond Williams now because they probably fucking tampered. They knew they were going to be hot and heavy because they probably reached out and said, we'll give you $6 million fucking dollars as opposed to $4 or whatever the number was.
Starting point is 00:01:32 And let's go. So just like that, I mean, it looked like Sam Levitt was going to be the quarterback at LSU. Again, I get that this is LSU related, but this could happen anywhere at this point. That's the way this new business of college football works. So just like that, it looks like LSU's all in on DeMond Williams. And just like that, they're kind of out on Sam Levitt. They spent two days with the guy. It was looking good.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Leavitt liked LSU, allegedly. And it looked like some shit was going to go down. And he might be the quarterback at LSU. And just like that, now LSU's hot and heavy on fucking DeMond Williams. And then two days later, after Sam Levitts visited Tennessee and who knows where he's going to go, he's still not signed anywhere, LSU finds out that DeMond Williams ain't going to leave because it would cost him $4 million to sign him, plus the money they'd have to spend on another quarterback.
Starting point is 00:02:28 This whole thing's wild, man. It's fascinating. It's captivating. But it's the new world. So if you want to rip Kiffin for anything, like going back to the Ole Miss part of it and which program is going to be where and in what year, Ole Miss may be a better program than LSU next year.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Ole Miss, well, if they have Trinidad Chamliss, you'd think certainly they have a great advantage. LSU didn't have a quarterback. Literally, do not have a quarterback. Nobody competent. I don't know if they've signed any slap dicks or not, but as far as any high level, you want to hear something frightening? LSU is in a position where, like, one of the biggest names out there is that
Starting point is 00:03:09 Raola doof that does the Mahomes cosplay. The Mahomes cosplay guy is one of the portal targets possibly for, at least he's out there. I know if he's a target, but at least he's out there. I will tell you this. if LSU signs Dylan Rayola and pays him money to be the quarterback at Louisiana State University to do his Mahomes cosplay, I will never watch LSU play football again. That is a promise. I will burn all of my LSU shit.
Starting point is 00:03:41 I will set fire to my LSU shit if Dylan Rayola ends up being the quarterback at LSU. Because that guy's a fucking toolbox. He's a single white female stalker motherfucker, and I'm like, no, there's not a universe where I want to see LSU even entertain the idea of Dylan Rayola being the quarterback. And that's how scary this is. So that's the part that's the most fascinating about this is that LSU has had to kind of wait and it's kind of altered who they can sign because of having to wait for Ole Miss. If you want to go back to the like the butterfly effect of it all, it's fascinating. Like that win. Ole Miss beating Georgia.
Starting point is 00:04:24 The one thing it did, it wasn't shocking. But them beating Georgia basically butt-fucked LSU. And they're quest to find a quarterback. So it's interesting. Like, there are interesting parts of that. The whole thing's so. This is the world, though. This is the world of college athletics that we find ourselves in now.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Can I say another thing that annoys me. I know I talk about this all the time. We must make an effort, or let's make it a rule that we cannot keep calling college athletes kids. Because I think people do it and they pick and choose when it's convenient for their argument. Like when they want to say, oh, the adults, the coaches are allowed to leave whenever they want, but what about the kids? Well, what about if it's a kid that's making $5 million to be the quarterback at Michigan? There's no difference between that kid, quote unquote, and a quarterback in the end. NFL making $5 million, maybe a couple of years difference, and one's in the pros and one is a student athlete.
Starting point is 00:05:28 That's the other thing. I heard my buddy Matt use the term student. I'm not going to shit on a student athlete. They ain't, where's the student? I saw somebody post the other day, what are we teaching these kids about the real world if we just allow them to break their contracts? I'm sure I've said that at some point, too. But when you think about how absurd that sounds, these are dudes who've probably been recruited by grown-ass men. who've probably watched them play since they were 8, 9, 10, 11 years old,
Starting point is 00:05:59 they don't know what the real world is. Like the idea that, well, like, Daman Williams was the guy that people were using as the example for that. Like, well, what are we teaching kids? Like, these kids are never going to be ready for the real world if we don't show them that they have to honor their contracts. What about an 18-year-old dude making $5 million right out of high school to play college football? lead you to believe that he's anywhere near the real world. These cats ain't even close. So again, you've got dudes who've spent probably from the time it looked like they had any athletic ability
Starting point is 00:06:39 to the time they signed a deal to make $4 million, $5 million to play quarterback somewhere. They have been told they're the greatest person ever and that everybody wants them. It is impossible to be a real human when that happens. Then you get to high school and you're getting letters from every. one of these schools. And coaches are coming to all of your games. And your games are televised. And people are talking about you on social media and weird booger-eating dopes are following your recruitment on websites and shit. The idea that like DeMond Williams Jr. is the great straw that broke the camel's back as it relates to these kids are never going to understand the real world.
Starting point is 00:07:16 What makes you think someone who's been recruited and offered tons of cash from the time they were in middle school and high school will ever know anything about the real world? world. Once you've signed a $5 million NIL deal at Michigan, LSU, Florida, wherever, you're never going to know the real world. Because now you're in this wild world of college athletics. Now you're in this wild world of once you're out of college athletics. If you're accomplishing anything in that, you're probably going to have the opportunity to be a paid for life for just your autograph. People want to meet you. You know, get your radio or media jobs in certain towns.
Starting point is 00:07:56 You will never know the real world. What makes you think they ever will? So the idea that DeMond Williams Jr. broke a contract and like, now what are we teaching the kids about the real world? Nothing. You should never look to college football as some way to teach anybody about the real world. In the real world, for the average human,
Starting point is 00:08:14 does the average human get a scholarship to go to LSU, probably never have to go to class, get paid $5 million to refer to themselves as a strewd and athlete? Like, what are we fucking doing? What the fuck are we doing here? It's so absurd. Now, if you wanted to try to sell it as the real world back when like NIL and shit didn't exist and these guys are just kids going to class, I would at least entertain it. I'm not entertaining this shit.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Lose me. Lose me on what about the kids? They ain't kids. They might be kids in age. But as we've talked about before, if Kobe goes to the league at 18, yeah, he's a young dude, but he's also a millionaire. and sorry, you've made the decision to be an adult. You don't live with mama and dad anymore. You make a billion dollars.
Starting point is 00:08:56 You're playing a kid's game, but you're an adult doing it. Lose me. I will never entertain that. I will never sit back and go, hey, guys, what about the kids? Like, there's this Jimbo Fisher audio. And Jimbo Fisher loves to use the Lang Kiffin doesn't even care about his kids. Let me play this dope. Yeah, you cared enough about your kids when you rolled out of a good Florida state job
Starting point is 00:09:18 to take a billion dollars to go to Texas. A&M. But yes, tell me about the kids. Let's see. This is from one of these college football shows earlier this week. Here's a look at the Lane Kiffin timeline. Starting in late October when LSU fired Brian Kelly. His family visited Baton Rouge less than a month later indicating his real interest in that job. Then after the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving weekend, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter essentially gave Kiffin that ultimatum. You can stay or you can go. Kiffin ultimately chose to go taking a ton of staff with him from Oxford to Baton Rouge. So a lot of the Ole Miss staff that went with him have not been coaching in this college football playoff run. Then you do have some guys who are hired at LSU.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Give me the devious. They're still with Ole Miss because they're trying to finish this thing out, including offensive. Here we go. Whoever this lady is. Feed Jimbo. Let's hear his hypocrisy is here. Let's hear him as sanctimonious bullshit. This is crazy, no?
Starting point is 00:10:11 No, it's selfish. That's what it is. It's stupid. And because here's why I say that. He wanted a coach and thought he didn't get his way. So everybody get on the plane with me, you don't have a job. All right. They makes them all go.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I love how these coaches hate each other and they all talk shit and they're all scummy. I do want Lane to kick everyone's ass. Like the backlash against Lane has made me enjoy him, even though I don't really like him. It's more of a pro-LSU thing than a Lane thing. But the amount of hate this guy's gotten from these dipshits just makes me like, I mean, dude, you left Florida State where you won a national championship to go chase more money over at Texas A&M where you got like a billion dollar buyout. please lose me with the selfishness and the kids and all this shit, brother.
Starting point is 00:10:52 PR hit because it looks bad that you really don't care about the kids. Then he says, okay, you can go back. It looks bad that you don't really care about the kids. Do we believe that Jimbo Fisher cares about the kids? Jimbo Fisher cares about the fact that he was making $9 million a year or whatever it was to coach at Texas saying him, lose me with the kids. These kids, he don't care about the kids.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Half those kids, they went out and got from other schools. So lose me. Screwed up. he thought they were going to lose it. He thought they're going to lose the Georgia. The portal thing was all over with and it was going to be all over with. Now that's not wrong. I'll look like a hero.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Now he's got egg on his face because the real lane came back out. You know what I'm saying? And if those guys were allowed to coach the first game, the shit. The real lane came back out. Boy, there's some catty fuck. I, like, look, it'd be great of Lane won like five titles at LSU. Hell, he may not even stay there five years, but fuck, I'd like to see him win five titles, just to see the way people react.
Starting point is 00:11:44 It is kind of fun that LSU now has the guy that people, hate. Now, they hated Brian Kelly, too, but that's just because he was a pud. Because those guys are doing, those kids are doing something. Those kids are doing something, yes, those kids. That you get one time in your life to ever do. Literally. I can see why people like Jimbo. He's out there selling them on the idea that a bunch of kids and they're only going going to get one chance ever do this in their lives and blee, blah, blee, blah, bleep. And those guys one time. And as a coach, listen, I know I've left the job. I get that. But if you took them all and took them all and said they're never coming back, that's fine. You set the rules of
Starting point is 00:12:15 the game. You don't change the rules in the middle of the the game. And as a coach, it's hurting the kids and it pisses me off. Who's to say that Ole Miss was letting those guys go? See, what's happened is they've put the ball in the lane court and made it sound like every decision that's been made has been Lane's decision. Like, some of these guys really weren't all that important that left. They let, look, they let the important ones go, right? Offensive coordinator, they'll let him keep going back. But I will say this. It's a little easier to do nowadays because the off-field coach is back in our day when you were playing, you couldn't get on the field and coach.
Starting point is 00:12:50 So it's a little different. These guys that now you can, which should have been back then. And so those guys have actually been the few guys that were a... Anyway, I don't care about what Jimbo Fisher has to say. It's sailfish. Okay, Jimbo, you took, you know, the money to go to Texas. At least you acknowledged that you did that. But these people are all full of shit. Anyway, more to come.
