Starting point is 00:00:01 Let me tell you something, brother. It is the loneliest feeling in the world, man, when everybody thinks you're a piece of shit. And you don't see it. Like, you don't see what you did that was all that offensive, right? Like, I can see where if the whole world thinks you're a piece of shit because you were a didler. You're like, okay, that probably wasn't the right thing to do being a didler. Or everybody thinks I'm a piece of shit because I'm a sexual predator. or everybody thinks I'm a piece of shit because, or like, you know, the red-haired fell at Penn State who didn't stop Sandusky from fucking the kids in the shower.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Like you go, did I do something wrong? Am I wrong? When it's words and you know what you meant by your words and the whole world piles on you and thinks you're the biggest piece of shit on the planet, it is truly the loneliest feeling ever. And you've got people who are on your side and your buddies will text and they'll say, I know what you meant or your wife will tell you. like, look, I can't believe these people are doing this to you and it's terrible. And your dad will tell you things like, this is ridiculous what they're doing. And you'll get that. But when you see thousands of people who know nothing about you pile on to you.
Starting point is 00:01:11 And then what they do is they start to search for other shit you've said that, again, on its own wasn't bad. But then they add that to the most recent thing you've said that was terrible. And then now you're just a guy who is a chronic piece of shit, which again is absurd. but, you know, that's the kind of shit that happens. And that pile on blows. It is like, like, you're like, you're like, you know that it's ridiculous. And then you try to defend yourself and it gets even worse because people will not change their opinions, particularly people on social media. It is not worth fighting with them.
Starting point is 00:01:47 That's why I didn't even go out and fight, you know, this guy that keeps saying that just Josh Innes is his right wing piece of shit. You think I'm a right wing piece of shit because I say things that you disagree with. You don't see all the shit that I agree with you on, even though I post about it. But I think that, and I understand why, like if you're Paul Allen and, you know, you got a dream job, you're the voice of the Vikings and you're a talk show host and, you know, like life is good for you, right? Like you don't want to blow it. You got a family probably. You got a wife. You got kids.
Starting point is 00:02:24 So, like, I get it. I understand why you don't want to step up and be that guy that, you know, loses your job over something so stupid, which, you know, at this moment, it kind of feels like you could end up being that guy that loses the job over something stupid. Even though you know you're right and you know they are wrong and it sucks, but you just sit there and you basically take it. And then you have to apologize. And that's, again, these are not people who are worthy of an appellate. apology. Because at the end of the day, that'd be one thing like, I do remember when this guy in Atlanta did the bit about, about Steve Gleason, and they were doing a bit about how Gleason, obviously, he has ALS. And at one point, like, he just said, oh, just kill me. He was like doing an impression of Steve Gleason. That is a direct insult to someone who's in a pretty shitty position. Do I think you should be fired over that?
Starting point is 00:03:27 No. I mean, the audience, I guess, will dictate that. But that's a direct insult to somebody and someone who didn't deserve that at all. So if you apologized for that, I'd say, okay, I mean, that, that, that's kind of warranted there. Like, if you're going to apologize for something, apologizing for something like that isn't terrible, you know? apologizing for something like that's a generalized comment about a giant group of people
Starting point is 00:04:00 that's clearly a joke when you're when you're apologizing for that shit man like the fuck like that's pathetic and I get what I understand it like I know that it's easy for and that's the other thing it's easy for people on social media to just say never apologize well if you've got people coming to you saying hey Paul Would you like to remain the voice of the Minnesota Vikings?
Starting point is 00:04:24 By the way, that's a team that represents an entire state and a fan base that's millions of people deep. Would you like to consider or continue being the voice of the Minnesota Vikings? Or would you like to be unemployed? Would you like to continue being the voice of the Minnesota Vikings? Would you like to continue being a radio host from 9th? to noon in Minnesota? Would you like to continue living the life that you currently live, which is a life of wealth and fame and popularity? Or would you like to lose your job because you refuse to apologize? And he knows deep down that what he said was stupid, not even stupid,
Starting point is 00:05:08 I say stupid in the sense that it was just a stupid throwaway line. He knows that what he said is not something that should come close to costing them his job. He gets that. He knows that. but in that moment, like, he's also not some guy whose whole brand is built on. I say what I want to say. Like Howard Stern can't apologize. If Howard Stern apologizes, it ruins it. Because Stern's whole shit was fuck the man and I'll say whatever the hell I want and fuck the FCC. If Stern comes out and apologize, that's why Stern couldn't apologize for a lot of the shit he was doing in the mid-90s,
Starting point is 00:05:38 which if you go back and listen to it was fucked up. But if he apologizes for that, it ends the Stern myth, basically. Like it ends the idea that Stern is this bad motherfucker and that Stern doesn't take any shit from anybody and that Stern will be like, you know, that Stern will fight the man and all that. That's not what this guy is. Like I'm sure he offers opinions on the radio and if I had to guess Paul Allen is probably one of those guys. If I had to guess, Paul Allen is one of those dudes who talks a lot of shit about other teams and probably doesn't say a lot of shit about the team that employs him. That's what most of these guys who are play-by-play announcers or guys who work on radio stations that have rights to games, that's how they do their business.
Starting point is 00:06:24 That's how they get to look like they have big opinions because, like, they'll shit on the Packers. Right. I'll say whatever you want about the Packers and Paul Allen will talk shit about the Packers. And Paul, again, I don't know that he does this, but this is my guess. That's how you look like you're like the guy. Like you say all the shit the people like. Like, they want to hear you shit on the Bears and the Packers and the Lions that are in your division. And then like when it comes to talking about his own team, he's not going to be nearly that.
Starting point is 00:06:46 much, that passionate or not passionate, but that crass or whatever, crude about them, because they employ him. That's usually what play-by-play announcers do. And that's the guys I ripped the most. Or like the guys that work on a radio station that will say horrible things about someone on a personal level that plays for the thunder or something, but they won't say the same shit about the rockets. And then they want to act like they're a hard ass when they're not.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Those guys are hypocrites and I don't like them. I understand the role of the play-by-play announcer. Like, I get it. Like, you're not going to shit on your boss, and you still want to go on the radio and shit on people so you get to shit on the packers and that's your life. Fine, I can live with it, whatever. But coming down to the idea of apologizing. And apologizing to the mob is pathetic. But it all depends on what your job is.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Like, Dan Orlovsky. Dan Orlovsky's job is to give opinions. Dan Orlovsky's job is to not be a play-by-play guy for an NFL team. Dan Orlovsky's job is to be the dude that offers analysis and opinions. So when Dan Orlovsky apologized for saying that 31 other quarterbacks would have beaten C.J. Stroud, I'll say this and I believe it and I stand by it, that Dan Orlovsky should never be on ESPN again because Dan Orlovsky is a pussy. And apologizing for that completely eliminates any credibility you have. You have zero credibility in my eye.
Starting point is 00:08:14 if you're going to step up and offer an opinion and then apologize for the opinion, you're a pussy. Same thing with Ryan Clark. Ryan Clark says dumb shit every day and then ends up apologizing for it. If you're not comfortable in what your opinions, these are sports opinions, mind you. These are not opinions. And now, in some case, Ryan Clark's about politics because Ryan Clark's an imbecile. But if your job is to give sports opinions and your opinion is that you believe 31 other
Starting point is 00:08:41 quarterbacks would have beaten the Patriots in that playoff game, then stand by that. Because as much as people are going to be pissed off at you and shit on you for that viewpoint, they're going to shit on you even more when you apologize for it. And I don't think your job was at risk because you said that C.J. Stroud lost and that 31 other quarterbacks would have won. It wasn't racial. It wasn't anything.
Starting point is 00:09:03 So I doubt that your job was on the line. So what Dan Orlovsky did was about as pusified as you're ever going to see. And I think Dan Orlovsky should. should not have a job on ESP. I would have walked in there. If I worked at ESPN, I would say, Dan, we are fucking embarrassed that you were on this radio station. We are embarrassed that, or this TV state, we are on this network.
Starting point is 00:09:27 We are embarrassed of your existence. Because if, like, if we're going to ride this wave of, hey, we give opinions and we have thoughts and we don't back down from our opinions, particularly when there's sports opinions, if that's what I'm going to get out of you is that you bow down and apologize because you said 31 other quarterbacks would have beaten the Patriots that day. If you're going to apologize for that, eat shit. Because you serve zero purpose. That's where there's a difference between a Paul Allen and a Dan Orloskey.
Starting point is 00:10:02 And look, I don't think the guy's going to lose his job. I don't think he should lose his job. Like, the fact that that's even a discussion is preposterous and it should scare the shit out of anybody who gives opinions. It should scare the shit out of anybody that gives opinions. that that innocuous opinion could possibly cost you your job. The fact that it's even being entertained is fucking preposterous. Like, what the fuck are we doing?
Starting point is 00:10:24 What are we doing that that's what we're even talking about? Well, I think he'll keep a shop. Like, I didn't say anything. You didn't say the inward. He didn't say anything racial? All he said was, well, I wonder if the paid protesters get hazard pay. That's it. And now this guy's life, you know, like his life's gone into a tailspin for the last four days.
Starting point is 00:10:41 This is ridiculous that that's happening. happening to that guy. I feel like an idiot having sat here for the last hour talking about this and even thinking that there's a chance that the guy's going to get fired over something that ridiculous. What are we doing? Fucking people, man. And it's again, there are too many people who have zero value. And social media has taught us that, that there are a lot of people out there that just serve no purpose in life. They're losers. They're never will-bees. They have nothing to offer. Maybe they have a nine to fiver and they punch in and they punch out. Then they go to their social media and they shit on people and that's all they have to offer. And their way of
Starting point is 00:11:21 feeling like they serve a purpose is to shit on people on social media. They are fucking losers. That's all they are. Fucking losers. And like Josh, every life has value. No. It doesn't. It doesn't mean that anybody should die or anything. But what it means is not everybody serves a purpose and makes the world a better place. And if you're someone whose main contribution to societies, you go on social media and pretend to be offended by shit, you're a fucking loser and you have no value. Not everybody has value. Josh, everybody's life has, just Jeffrey Dahmer's life have value?
Starting point is 00:11:57 Just Ted Bundy have fucking value? No, they're fucking serial killers. So don't sit there and tell me that everybody's life has some sort of value. It fucking doesn't. Not everybody serves a purpose. Not everybody does better for the world. These are losers And they're being
Starting point is 00:12:13 Egged on by people like Tim fucking Walls who's standing behind a gate at the governor's mansion and is sitting there telling people to go protest and do everything else while he's sitting there with guards and shit
Starting point is 00:12:24 behind a fence on a bullhorn Anyway, thank you. More to come.
