Starting point is 00:00:00 I appreciate this guy that's a Ravens fan that has a little common sense or at least a little understanding in the situation at the end of the Saints game where I don't believe the Saints got in. But I also think the Saints have been butt fucked enough times where I don't give a shit that the call is wrong. Didn't look like a touchdown. But I also look at that situation and say, you got away with the most disgusting face mask I've ever seen. Like you damn near decapitated the dude. So cut the shit as it relates. Oh my God, we got screwed. You let a nine-point favorite cut or underdog,
Starting point is 00:00:34 a nine-point underdog come into your building and beat you. They were the second biggest underdog of the weekend. You were up big in that game. What was it? 17 to 3 at one point. And you blew it. You got, oh, Mr. Two-Time MVP and everything else. And you let Tyler Shuck come in there and beat you.
Starting point is 00:00:52 So I don't want to hear any of your bullshit about how the refs blew a call. You ripped the guy's head off anyway. But this guy, well, first of all, let me play a couple of commercials. and I'll play this. Meading, made it! Part of the Beast is the must-see adventure of the year. It's just you and me, boy.
Starting point is 00:01:10 One of the most extraordinary on-screen bond you'll ever see. I'll get you home. Brad Pitt. Part of the Beast. September 25th. Get tickets now. At least this guy's got a little common sense here. Did not get robbed, Ravens fans.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Stop trying to claim that we did. Listen, I agree with you. Tyler Shuck was short on this touchdown. The go-ahead touchdown. that gave the Saints the lead and ultimately gave them the win in this game. But guess what? Even though he was short, we got away with an egregious face mask. Look at Roquan ripping his face mask.
Starting point is 00:01:47 We got away with one. So yes, the refs got all of this wrong. It shouldn't have been a touchdown, but it should have been a face mask, which would have given the Saints a fresh set of downs and would have allowed them to then go on and rush the ball in, probably on the very next possession. So stop. No, they wouldn't have rushed the ball in, actually.
Starting point is 00:02:06 And that, well, this is where you're wrong because you clearly have no concept of anything works. If they would have given them the first down there, the Saints would have taken a knee two or three times, kicked a field goal to win the game and never gave you the ball back. That's the difference in what you said. So you're wrong there. But you're right in that, like, look, I'm a Saints fan, bro. We get screwed all the time. We've gotten screwed on some of the highest levels you can get screwed.
Starting point is 00:02:29 We've had a heartbreak. we've had miracle plays go against us. We've had blown calls go against us. Last week we had the most ridiculous call I've ever seen with the guy intended to throw the ball forward, therefore it wasn't a fumble. All this shit. So you think I'm going to feel bad sitting here today about the Saints? Bullshit. I don't feel bad at all about that situation.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Eat shit, Baltimore. That's a win for us. And we're on to the next one. We've got the Raiders coming up. Raiders are feeling really good about themselves because they're a surprise to win team. So let's fucking go. You should never feel bad about your team winning unless you're the Rams in the NFC championship game where you were clearly given the game by the refs.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Other than that, you should never feel bad about winning the game. Other stuff. You know who I dig? I actually like this chick that owns the Colts. I like that she just patrols the sideline and looks pissed off all the time and takes notes and has got the headset in so I guess she's probably listening to whatever the coaches are saying and shit. I love it.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Like, I'm all about this life. But she's fantastic. And I was reading some story where people question her behavior on the sideline. And I'm like, I like it. It's her fucking team. She wants to walk around. Like, she, like, I do think there's something to be said about people who want to know what the fuck's going on with their organization.
Starting point is 00:04:00 want to learn more, right? Like she are, I think part of it is she has to deal with the fact that since she's a woman that owns a team, I think people automatically question you a little bit more because of that since you're a woman. You get that kind of blowback from people and you want to fucking learn. You know, you want to know what's going on with your team. I mean, you're the person that pays the bills. So why not? As long as you're not getting to the point where you're meddling in that you're making personnel decisions, which I don't think she's doing. Like I think, I think like she wants to be on the fucking sideline be on the fucking sideline. You want to listen to the games in the headset while the coach are called to do it.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Because a lot of these women that are going to be owners of teams do have to deal with shit like that. Yeah, that's kind of bullshit you have to deal with. And maybe she knows shit, maybe she doesn't. But she's out there learning about it and trying to figure out what the hell's going on. And it's her fucking sandbox. You don't like it, quit. And I don't think it's impacting the way they play as a team. I think what's impacting them as a team,
Starting point is 00:05:00 is their quarterback is Daniel Jones, and let's be real, he ain't really all that fucking good. So, and they've had a revolving door of quarterbacks over the last, however many years since Andrew Luck quit. You know, I mean, Philip Rivers was playing quarterback for them last year. So, I mean, that's a bigger issue than the sideline being occupied by the lady owner. Who gives a shit? Another story I enjoyed today is the story about Caleb Williams, who it turns out just has like a hamstring pull. But when they pulled him off the, uh, the, the, the field and they put him on the cart and they wheeled him away. He was crying and he did the fist pumps and shit. Like,
Starting point is 00:05:41 like, like his season was over, you know, like, like he just broke his fucking leg. And, uh, and I mean, that's why everybody just assumed the season was over. Like, I'm watching a different game. Jilly sees on her phone. She goes, oh my God. I said, well, what happened? She goes, Caleb Williams is out for the year. I mean, look at me. And I, I, we go watch the video and, like, he's down on the field and like, no one touched him. So the world's like, oh, some kind of terrible injury. he's dunzo and he gets on the cart and he's like fist pumping and shit like this is everything talk about an overly dramatic motherfucker my man is theatrical to the max because that dude's got a fucking hamstring injury he'll live I don't know that he's playing this week but he'll
Starting point is 00:06:21 fucking live very dramatic now some people would say that he is a gay man whether he is gay or not it's up to him you want to be gay go be gay. I don't give a shit. I'm not judging you for that. However, that would be very on brand to be super dramatic. Like a gay dude to be super dramatic in that situation. Like he's heard. He has to leave the game and he's being carted off the field. Like he just got shot and he's fist pumping. Like that's the kind of shit that happens when old buddy is paralyzed and he has to give a thumbs up just to let people know he's still alive. That type of shit. That's not, oh, I tweaked my hamstring. I don't think that's what goes down with that. Also, so then you've got Jaden Daniels blowing out his elbow again.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Jeez, that was gnarly. And then one thing I learned watching that is there's an extended version of the Fox NFL injury music, which I had no idea, because they let that thing run a while. Usually it's like three, four seconds and they go to commercial. This thing had to have gone 20 plus seconds, and they're showing different angles. It was actually closer to 30 seconds. Different angles of this injury. People cried and all this shit.
Starting point is 00:07:38 There is a long, there is a long 30 seconds of this song, and I never knew that there was an extended cut. Kind of a banger, kind of haunting. Let's look around the league a little bit here. Let's do this. Let's take a look around the National Football League. So looking at the games from yesterday, take a look at week two here, anything stand out. Let's see, Buffalo and Detroit. I think Detroit's headed for a heartbreak.
Starting point is 00:08:11 I just don't think they have the defense to stay with anybody. They're going to let everybody score on them. And they can get down and they can come back whenever they're down and they can sling it around a little bit. They're lucky to be one and one. They should have blown the game to the Saints. They should be O and two. They're lucky to be where they are. I think their defense is abysmal.
Starting point is 00:08:27 At some point this year, they're going to fire the. defensive coordinator to save the head coach. I don't think there's anything that could happen that would get Dan Campbell fired, right? Unless they go like two and 14 or so two and 15, whatever it is. That could get you fired. Big picture. I don't think there's anything that could get him fired. But this will be the year before the year that gets him fired because at this point you'll be going on three years without the playoffs. Blowing that NFC championship big lead is now years and years ago. So was it now four years ago, whatever it is. So I think that Dan Campbell, while not on the hot seat, Dan Campbell's seat starts to get warmer, especially
Starting point is 00:09:05 if, like, Ben Johnson ends up doing huge things. Now, they lost yesterday, so I guess they're not going to score 60 points a game like they said they would. Carolina is arguably the surprise of the year. It's not the Saints. Carolina's 2 and 0, or actually, sorry, they're 1 and 1, but they are, and you would have thought they won. They played the Bears in week one, and they scored 40 points against the Bears.
Starting point is 00:09:27 The fact that they're scoring like 40 points a game right now is a surprise, right? And Atlanta's just absolutely terrible. They're dreadful. Things are so bad for them that they got their backup quarterback in, whoever this guy was, and everybody was all cheery, yay, he's at dude threw a pick six the first ball he threw, like Atlanta's a cluster fuck. Cincinnati. Now, Cincinnati ends up winning 20 to 6 over the Texans yesterday.
Starting point is 00:09:52 I don't buy that Cincinnati's defense is some sort of stingy defense. However, I guess we can look at it two ways. And generally speaking, you don't look at performance this week versus the week before and what you did against this opponent and that opponent and see if it, you know, like what it means. But Buffalo has given up 31 points to Detroit and Buffalo gave up, what was it, 30-something points to the Texans. Cincinnati against that same Texans team on the road gave up six points. You gave up a lot of passing yards, but gave up six points.
Starting point is 00:10:26 So what is it? Two weeks in? Is Houston's offense just mediocre? Well, not really. Or is Buffalo's defense dreadful? Is Cincinnati's defense fantastic? Like those are your three kind of options there. Keep in mind, again, Buffalo has given up 30 plus points in each of their first two games and a fuck ton of passing yards. Cincinnati, on the other hand, that game is 20 to 6. So they gave up six points in that when they're 2 and 0. And in week one, Cincinnati gave up 27 to the Buccaneers. But I think, if I'm not mistaken, there was late score in that that made it look closer. I think is how that played out. I think they were up 33 to 20 and were up comfortably.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Let's see. They were up 33 to 20 at one point in that game. And that was late in the game that they were up. I think they scored with like three or four minutes to go to make it 33, 27. So it became a one possession game. But for most of that game, they dominated. I mean, Cincinnati was up, let's see, 7.3, 14-3, 21 to 3, 21 to 10, 24 to 10, 27 to 10, 27 to 13.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I mean, their defense was pretty good. Now, the question you have about Cincinnati as well is, how good is their defense? You know, Baker-Mayfield threw for 216 in that game. They held them in check. They held the running game in check pretty good, too. Now, Tampa yesterday, abysmal against Cleveland offensively. So, you know, is Tampa kind of, have they kind of hit the end of their wind of doing anything, maybe.
Starting point is 00:11:58 You know, you can't take anything from Minnesota in Chicago. It was in a monsoon. And in Minnesota, they rode their defense to that win, give them credit. The Eagles win. All right, cool. You know, that's a shitty Tennessee team. That's a bad Tennessee team. You had to go on the road.
Starting point is 00:12:14 I'll give you this. It was 105 degrees. I'm going to guess it's not 105 degrees in Philadelphia. If it were 105 degrees in Philadelphia, they'd never go to school again. When it's 80 degrees, they shut down the schools because it's hot. So 105 balls hot. I get all that. But the game still shouldn't be that fucking close.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Pittsburgh and New England. I think the Steelers suck. I think Aaron Rogers sucks. Aaron Rogers sucked last year, but he's holding them hostage. However, he's got this spell over them. He's holding them hostage and continues to hold them hostage as an organization. New England, I think, is fine. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Vegas is a surprise 2-0, but keep in mind they beat the charges, are a disgrace of a team. And I'm telling you, our old buddy here is a mess. Justin Herbert has been wrecked by the Poonani. And look, when you see Madison Beer, it's like, I don't blame you, brother. I'd be whipped by that too. I've made enough money. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if Justin Herbert at one point just goes, yeah, I think I'm out. I'm just going to go, you know, lay around in bed with Madison beer all day. I don't need to get my brains beaten in for this shitty team. So I'm going to go home now and I'm just going to bang Madison beer. And maybe I'll come back, maybe I won't.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Miami's a mess, but we knew they'd be a mess. San Francisco surprisingly, you know, scoring a ton of points. The other thing about the Chargers is that everybody loves Mike McDaniel, and then it's like, wait a minute, their offense is dreadful. Now, I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Justin Herbert's just not good right now. Arizona's away. Seattle continues to do things.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Washington's probably done zone now, because who knows. Have they said how long Jayden Daniels is out? Oh, someone's calling. Well, I'm not answering that. That was my dad. I got to call him back in a little bit. I told him he was at this thing in Nashville where he's at some songwriter thing or something.
Starting point is 00:14:11 But that Jane Daniels injury was gnarly. Like, what are the odds? Like, that's some final destination shit that happened to Jane Daniels. Like a chain of events thing where, oh, my offensive linemen stepped on my foot. I fell down. I tried to catch myself and just shattered.
Starting point is 00:14:27 my fucking elbow. Like, that was some true, that was final destination shit that happened to old buddy there. That was not good. But, yeah, so there you go, kind of around the NFL stuff. And we can get deeper into some stuff here at some point. But I guess what is the biggest surprise so far with one game left? Like if the Rams would start O and two, that'd be a surprise. I'd say San Francisco dominating the first two weeks of surprise.
Starting point is 00:14:57 I'd say the Saints should be 2-0 as a surprise. Tyler Shuck's been very good. I mean, Carolina scoring a shit ton of points is a surprise, but they're one-in-one. Green Bay, like, basically, you could argue saving their season by rallying to beat the Jets. You know, that would be there. Minnesota 2-0 with backup quarterback play. That would fall into that category. And we talk about the Eagles a lot.
Starting point is 00:15:22 The Eagles just exist. You forget that Siriani is there. You forget that Jalen Hertz is there. It's like they're weird because there's no drama surrounding them. They're just there. Maybe that's the advantage. Kansas City. You could argue that Mahomes playing as well as he's played through the first two weeks.
Starting point is 00:15:38 You put that under the surprise category. The Raiders 2 and O, surprise, you know. I mean, those are surprise things that kind of stand out, positive, negative, whatever. But when you look at the Eagles, it is weird because, again, like, they're probably a contender in the end. NFC because the NFC outside of the Rams and who knows. I mean, the people, you know, anointed the Rams before the year, but who knows? Look around the NFC and tell me who's great. Is Seattle great? They're fine. You know, is Dallas great? No. They got some weapons on offense.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Same fucking team they always were. Not very good on defense, probably. And are going to sling the ball around and Dak's going to throw for 300 yards a game. That's what they're going to do. NFC. Let's see, Arizona. I'm just rolling through really quick looking at some NFC teams. Is Tampa going to win the Super Bowl? No. Is Green Bay going to win the Super Bowl? Probably not.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Is Minnesota going to win the Super Bowl? Probably not. So you go down that list, Carolina, no, Atlanta, no. So then what do you look at? You say, all right, what about the Eagles? Why not? You know, what are the current Super Bowl odds? Because the Eagles were, I think, 18 to 1 when the season started.
Starting point is 00:16:55 current Super Bowl odds. Let's see. Let's see. What is the latest? Is this from today three hours ago? Let's see. Updated September 21st. So the current leader still the Rams.
Starting point is 00:17:13 In Philadelphia, 16 to 1. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 7. They're the 7th shortest odds. So Philly's just hanging out, man. They're just hanging out. By the way, they got a quarterback that's been there a couple times. There are a lot of teams that don't have a quarterback that's been there a couple times, okay?
Starting point is 00:17:27 you know, Baltimore, Buffalo that are above them. You know, Cincinnati's hanging around down there. They've obviously been to the Super Bowl with Joe Burrow. The Lions are 18 to 1. But, I mean, you're talking about the seventh shortest odds. And then you look in the NFC, you've got the Rams, you've got Seattle, you've got San Francisco. There are three teams ahead of the Eagles in the, according to the Super Bowl odds. So it's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Like, why couldn't they? Do I think they're going to win the Super Bowl? No, but who's great? Why couldn't they? Why couldn't, if they get everything right and get everything healthy and Sequant's cooking and all this shit? That's not really a compliment to the Eagles, but it's more so a look around the NFC. Why couldn't they? I mean, have the Seahawks going to go back?
Starting point is 00:18:14 Are the 49ers going to go? Do we really believe that the 49ers are as good as they've been the first couple weeks? I'm not writing off the Eagles at all. It's just so weird because they're just out of sight, out of mind. you don't really think about the Eagles, but they're still there, and they've still got largely their same core, and they still have their same coach, and they're just, they exist. The Eagles continue to exist, and they have a shot.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Like around the AFC, you look at more teams and you wouldn't be shocked, right? Like, you can go, Buffalo could get there, okay, the Ravens could get there, okay, Kansas City, like Cincinnati, if all things go right. New England was there last year, so why not this year? You know, there's a lot of those. I don't believe the Texans are in that category, but this is kind of where the Texans want to be, right? 0 and 2.
Starting point is 00:18:59 That's where they're about to rattle off 13 to 14. That's what they do, right? So I don't know. I just look at the Eagles and I'm like, why not? You know, they're over under win total, 10 and a half? Like an 11-win team. You know how many teams, according to Vegas, have a chance to win more than 10 games?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Like 7 or 8, you're one of them. So why not? They're just going to quietly. And like you win games like that yesterday, a game they should have lost, a game that you're not going to get a lot of credit for winning, but you didn't lose it. So at the end of the year, when you look back at the season and the Eagles are 12 and 5 or whatever they end up being, you'll go, well, they're 12 and 5 because of games like that where they very well could
Starting point is 00:19:37 or should have, should have, could have won it big anyway, because, you know, fucking Tennessee is terrible. But they still won it. And when you go 12 and 5 or 13 and 4 or 11 and 6 at the end of the year, no one cares how the fuck you got there. you got there. And then it's all about the matchups and whatever. So what does the Eagle's schedule look like? Let's see what they've got. They got the Bears and they're probably, I would assume Caleb's not playing this week. So you go on the road against the Bears. That's a Monday night football. That's a game you should could win. Like if you're playing, I like Bayesian, but, you know,
Starting point is 00:20:12 that's a game you should win. I mean, Jaguars, Panthers, Cowboys, Rammy. Look, they've got it. This is a pretty tough, at least based on what we've seen so far in this season from these teams. I mean, the bears if you're not facing Caleb you feel like that's an advantage and then you got the rams that's tough the jags that's tough the panthers that's tough and you got to go to where the fuck are the eagles playing like germany or some such shit i mean you got all this shit like their schedule's pretty fucking tough but why not the eagles they've been there they've done that and they're just kind of laying in the weeds they're lurking i think that's the best way to put the eagles they're just kind of lurking no i don't think they're going to go seven and ten and fall off a cliff right i mean
Starting point is 00:20:51 The schedule's tough, but you know, you go 10 and 7, 11 and 6, you're in the dance playing ball. So, all right, anyway, more to come.
