We are living in a world where people are addicted to clicks and they are addicted
to likes and they are addicted to podcast views and listens. People are addicted to this shit.
People are addicts and you can see them all over the place. They exist everywhere and
even the ones that you think aren't addicted to the clicks, they are because that is the
lifeblood of everybody. Everyone's lifeblood in the media world or just any world at this point is social
media equity, it's podcast listens, it's downloads, it's everything. That's what everyone is going for.
Everyone is disingenuous. Nobody is honest. Everyone's doing what they have to do to get
the clicks. Thus we create this fucking drama in the world and it's wild. The drama yesterday
and drama in the world and it's wild. The drama yesterday with Ryan Clark and RG3 was spectacular and hypocritical and wonderful and it's going to drive a lot of people to
listen to whatever boring shit both of those guys are doing. I don't find either one of
them to be interesting. I particularly, I dislike RG3 on many levels just because I find him annoying and I dislike Ryan Clark
because I think Ryan Clark is, for whatever reason I don't like him.
The look of Ryan Clark bothers me.
He always looks like he's on the verge of tears.
He always looks like he's lecturing you.
My buddy Matt is friends with Ryan Clark and I'm sure Ryan Clark off the TV
and off of podcasts might be the coolest guy ever probably sits back chills has a
good time. My issue is when I look at that guy I look like or I see a dude
that's dug himself into such a hole in this media world and he can't get out of
it so he has to continue playing this kind of character that really I don't
even know if it's him or not.
I don't know him on a personal level. Maybe this is who he is.
Maybe he's just constantly on the verge of tears. Maybe he's constantly lecturing people.
I don't know. Maybe the act became reality. I don't know.
But when I watch this dude on TV, he always looks miserable.
There is no joy on this guy's face. He is always lecturing. He is always mad. He's just there's no laughter.
There's no fun in this guy. Every time I see him, he just
looks distraught all the time like he's forced into this
loveless marriage with this character he's in because
everyone's playing a character because everybody is is is the
victim of everybody is the, everybody is being held captive by
social media. People are addicted to it. People need that. So when you see the
instant reaction from people on social media, like that's what drives you. Like
if you ever notice like this dude Ryan Clark will like get shit on by social
media and then kind of change what he has to say about some shit. Like these
are dudes that didn't get into
this world or didn't want to be in this world. They're athletes
that went out and they were great at ball and that's what
they do. Now to survive in this new world once ball is over,
you got to appeal to the dipshits on social media that
are going to listen to your podcast and you got to say
absolutely ridiculous shit to try to get people to listen to
your podcast. That's not the world most of these guys signed
up for. They signed up to be ballers, to make money, to get out of whatever situation your podcast. That's not the world most of these guys signed up for.
They signed up to be ballers, to make money, to get out of whatever situation they're in in life,
to make money for their family, to be successful. That's what they are there for.
They didn't sign up to be dudes that are doing podcasts every day, starting race wars with each other.
That's not what these dudes fucking signed up for, but that's the way the world is now.

Robert Griffin III, who is a doofus, Robert Griffin III said that Angel Reese clearly hates Caitlin Clark after the reaction to the quote unquote hard foul. Give me a break, man. Like,
like the Caitlin Clark gets called for a flagrant foul. It was bullshit. It was just a good foul.
Like it was a foul you take when you're not going to give up an easy layup. That's it.
But it became drama.
And then Angel Reese gets in her face and wants to fucking
fight. To which Robert Griffin III says it's clear that Angel
Reese hates Caitlin Clark, which is actually a fair assessment
because most people with any melanin hate Caitlin Clark. At
least that's what we are led to believe by television and the
internet, right? That is what we are led to believe. Everyone hates
Caitlin Clark unless you're some racist white person from
Indiana because that's the narrative. The narrative that's
been created is the only people who like Caitlin Clark are
doofus ass, white hillbilly, racist clan members from
Indiana and a bunch of other white people. That's the people
who like Caitlin Clark, right? So of course, it is understandable to
believe that Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark because the WNBA
hates Caitlin Clark because they are jealous of this chick. The
media hates her. Like, I'm not even trying to defend her
because I don't like the chick. I don't care about her. I don't
care about the WNBA. And as we've talked about before, I was
all on Angel
Reese's side for a lot of this because I believe this whole thing became an issue because Angel
Reese's a trash-talking black chick to the white chick and then it became a Clay Travis story after
that. As if Clay Travis or anybody else out-kicked gives a shit about women's basketball other than
to ridicule it, but they saw a race war they could be part of and they're like dun dun dun dun dun dun. They ride right in on their extremely white MAGA horse. That's right, they're riding a MAGA horse and they come in there with
their little confederate flags dangling off the side of the fucking horse and they're ready to be
in the race war, right? The issue is you've got a black guy saying that he doesn't think Angel
Reese likes Caitlin Clark. As we've discussed, most of the
black players in the WNBA have no qualms with letting you know
that they don't like the situation. Former and current
WNBA players, media people that cover the WNBA. So it is not
unfair to assume that Angel Reese doesn't like Caitlin
Clark. Okay, it's a sports opinion, it's a take, whatever.
Well, Ryan Clark, who has very serious conversations on his
very, very deep podcast that he does, he says that RG3 cannot
understand Angel Reese because his wife is white and since he
has a white wife, he cannot understand black women. Now, of
course, I would assume that this guy has black children. I would
assume that his mom or somebody in his
family was black. I'm sure at some point down the line, RG3
has black people in his family, black women in his family. But
apparently that's not good enough for Ryan Clark because
Ryan Clark, who is the gatekeeper of all things black
women, he steps up and he says, nope, he can't fully understand
where Angel Reese is because he doesn't, basically what I like
about this Ryan Clark is Ryan Clark has decided that, well, I
gotta find something I have that he doesn't so I can put myself
above him and say that this guy's full of shit. So what do
I have? Well, my wife's black, his isn't. Boom, got it. He
doesn't understand black women. Like, can you imagine living in
this world that these guys are in? to a degree I feel bad for them
because this is a world that I will never understand because I'm just your garden variety
white dude that sits around and watches you know Gypsy Rose live after life after lock up or whatever
the fuck like I do basic ass white dude shit I'm not some special human I don't fight with my
buddies like me and Jim mud don't fight with each other over who's whitest and I
don't like set rules for my buddies like I don't go to Jim
Mudd and go like well Jim Mudd, you'll never understand this
because your wife is white. You'll never get it. You'll
never understand it like we don't do that kind of **** black
culture, black world that I'm not in seems like a difficult
place to be because it's it's an interesting place because it feels like every individual black person speaks for all of black
America or black universe yet all black people seem to have different views on
shit you know what I'm saying and look I'm viewing this from a well panned out
view this isn't me judging any of this shit I'm telling you what I see from from afar as white ass dude standing over in the corner because I can't fucking dance.
I'm over here just watching everybody else have a good time. I'm doing the white man's overbite over in the corner. I'm just like, you know, I'm just going to do a little move right here.
I'm going to dance from the waist up. White man's overbite. Oh, look, a little boss skaggs is playing. I'm just doing a little white man's over bite in the corner.
I couldn't tell you what it's like to be a black guy. I don't
know. But I can imagine there's a lot of stress that goes on in
the world when everybody who has a definitive opinion about
something racial, particularly black folks who have definitive
opinions about something racial, all when they do it speak for black people. All black people. So however
many black people there are in America and in the world, each
individual person when they speak on the internet claims to
speak for everyone. Yet all of them tend to disagree with shit.
Again, I'm just telling you what I see from afar. I ain't trying
to judge nobody. I ain't trying to fight with nobody. I'm just telling you what I see. Am I allowed to view things? Am I allowed to see
things? Am I allowed to look at it from a distance? The world looks blue and green and the snow capped
mountains white. Bette Midler, crazy liberal, but had a couple of good songs. Anywho,
when I view that
kind of shit, it's got to be so fucking weird because like,
there are varying levels of black based on what your
political views are, based on who you fuck, based on who
you're married to, based on what music you listen to, based on
what clothes you wear. I imagine for guys like Ryan Clark or
guys like RG3 or anybody else, then you have to go to social
media. It's one thing when you just had to talk shit to people that are your contemporaries.
It's another thing when you have to go to social media and do this shit, and like every
take on Twitter, every comment is something different.
Oh, you're an Uncle Tom, you're this, you're that, you're a piece of shit, you don't get
it because you're a wife.
It has got to be a tiring existence.
Again, I'm looking at this from a distance.
This is not me telling you that I know anything for a fact. I am telling you what I see from a distance.
It's got to be tiring. It's got to be tiring to be someone like RG3 who has some opinion on some shit.
And you got Ryan Clark riding in here on his, well I'm not going to say his white horse, but whatever horse he's riding in
on, whatever non-racist horse he's riding in on, and he's riding in on this motherfucker,
and he rides in and he's like, well, you don't have any knowledge on this because your wife is white.
Take that, motherfucker! And then like they, like it's just, it's ridiculous. It is ridiculous,
and it seems like a bunch of regressive infighting that will lead nowhere for anyone and
keeps people trapped in whatever part of the world
they're trapped in with no chance of getting out. That's
what it seems like to me from afar. Now again, I'm not
judging. I'm asking questions and wondering what the ****
deal is. If I could take calls, I would take calls on this and
try to understand it. It's just
crazy. So and by the way, if you're I'm not taking sides
because I dislike both of these guys equally. I think Ryan Clark
comes across as far more sanctimonious and sanctimonious
people I like less. RG3 just seems like a doofus that I don't
like. But Ryan Clark is very sanctimonious, very holier than
now. Thus I really I really dislike holier than now people.
I can live with you being a doofus like RG3 is. I just don't
like him. I think he says really dumb shit, but I find
sanctimonious holier than now, always on the verge of tears
people to be the worst of the bunch. And that's Ryan Clark.
The thing about Ryan Clark is, and he's a guy and and look he's out
there trying to get as many people to watch as fucking
podcast and shit as possible because that's the that's the
scoreboard. There is no scoreboard anymore. You're not
playing at LSU or the Pittsburgh Steelers anymore.
You're playing in the world of podcasts and YouTube and
you're trying to get as many people to watch this shit as
possible, right? So that's the kind of game you're in. So that's how you view the scoreboard. Do you have more
views than Robert Griffin? Do you have more views than Kendrick Perkins? Do you have more
views than Stephen A? Whatever, that's your scoreboard. So if you think that he doesn't
do shit and the idea that he's going to get more views and clicks, then you're full of
shit. There was one I saw a couple weeks ago, that I thought was like it
was the kind of shit that I just think is gross. And Ryan Clark
is talking to a guy by the name of Greg Brooks. Greg Brooks was
a football player at LSU and just a couple years ago was on
the football team. Was having bad headaches and shit and they
said they thought he had vertigo. Turns out the guy had
a fucking brain tumor and had to have it removed and now he's in a wheelchair and
and he can barely talk. So Ryan Clark interviews this guy. Now
mind you, Ryan Clark went to LSU. He's got LSU ties, whatever
he's interviewing this guy. The the family of this Greg Brooks
feels like the LSU has been dismissive and he hasn't
heard from Coach Kelly even though Coach Brian Kelly has said
he's reached out like who knows who to believe people. I mean
it's a lawsuit. How do you believe anybody when there's a
lawsuit involved right? They're trying to get something from
someone so of course they're going to say this guy's never
reached out and of course Brian Kelly's being sued so he's
saying of course I reached out like it's a whole fucking deal.
So you can barely understand the guy talking because he really can't talk much anymore but he's talking about how he's saying, of course I reached out. Like it's a whole fucking deal. So you can barely understand the guy talking
because he really can't talk much anymore.
But he's talking about how he's sad
because he should be out there playing football
and he's not, but he's just got to kind of get on
with his life.
So Greg Brooks, they move him out of the studio
or the place where he's being interviewed by Ryan Clark.
And afterwards, Ryan Clark just starts sobbing.
Now, remind you, these are not live interviews.
These are recorded interviews.
So he sits there and they're just filming him crying over this.
And that was essentially kind of the teaser for this interview was like that little piece,
and then all over the internet they were blasting Ryan Clark crying.
Now, if you're doing something live and you cry during that,
or someone else is in control of the part of it that goes out and you're crying something live and you cry during that or someone else is in control
of the part of it that goes out and you're crying, that's one thing.
Like I've cried on the radio before, I get it.
Like people might mock it, they might, I don't care.
Like I've cried a couple of times on the radio before.
Most recently when Luther died, I cried on the radio.
Pussy as it may be, I did because I was talking about it and I was sad.
Okay, fine.
But I also didn't take that audio and say, hey, here's a piece of audio of me sobbing over my dead dog. Please come check out the podcast.
But the Ryan Clark people made sure that you saw him crying. Like that was
after the interview was over. There was no need to keep that in.
Not only did they keep it in, that was the selling point for the video. Was, here's Ryan Clark crying. Come
find out why Ryan Clark is crying. Like, that's a dude trying to get podcast views. Which
I'm not against. I get that that's your currency now and that's what you're about. But it's
just shit like that that I find kind of weasel-y and gross. That's all. And you can judge
me and say, Josh, you've done weasel-ely and gross shit before too. Fine, rip me, say whatever the fuck you
want about me. But like, that's the kind of shit that I hear and see. And I'm like, bro,
like you could have edited that out. The fact that here's the problem. The fact that you
didn't edit that out leads me to believe that there is a possibility that you were full
of shit. And you were crying or alligator tears in that for the sake of having a piece
that you could put up online to pimp out to everybody and say come check this out
that's the problem that's live and you're crying this deniability they're
saying I just got caught up in the moment whatever once you start blasting
that out there for people as a way to get them to listen to your podcast I
don't know if you're being authentic or not, thus I have no interest in what you're
doing.
Plus, I believe that most people are inauthentic anyway.
I believe that the majority of the people on TV are inauthentic.
They're doing what they have to do to build a character, to build a brand, to get people
to listen to their shit and they kind of roll with the wind.
People just kind of go where the wind takes them.
And a lot of people are obsessed with what social
media thinks about you and what people believe about you online and what you're supposed to
think because you're white because you're black because you're Mexican, whatever. And it's absurd.
I mean, like, think about this. When you're in a group of people, a lot of times you are not allowed
to have dissenting opinions with the group or your view to something else. Like that's regressive thinking. That is not
open mindedness. That is regressive. We are a regressive
society as it relates to this kind of shit. People are in
tribes, people are in cults, people are in groups,
politically, racially and everything else. It's absurd.
But that's who we are. Think about the absurdity that there
are two black men
that are arguing with each other over a WNBA player
getting fouled, not even really hard,
but falling down and wanting to start a fight.
All this is happening, which by the way tells me
that Homeboys got far more pent up shit.
Like Ryan Clark had some shit in the holster.
He had it fucking, he was loaded and ready to go
on shitting on RG3, which also made him look even worse.
So the rest of the story is, to go Paul Harvey on you,
the rest of the story is that once it looked like
Ryan Clark was kind of cooked,
because RG3 puts out a long ass tweet
that ain't nobody was gonna read,
but then at the bottom of it said,
"'Click my YouTube and you can see my reaction.'"
Which again, everyone's trying to get clicks infused.
That's our world now, people are addicted to it. Then Ryan Clark comes out and tweets just
about how RG3 was a shitty teammate and shit. Once you've gotten to that point,
so here's what RG3, here's what Ryan Clark has done. He's taken a shot at RG3
because his wife is white, thus basically insulting his wife and saying she's
lesser than because she's white. Then RG3 responds and kind of cooks him in a long ass
video. And then Ryan Clark's like, well, I got nothing left, so you're a bad
teammate. Here's some personal shit that nobody else knows.
Ryan Clark is such an unlikable guy. He is so unlikable. He like he just he like to me guys like Ryan Clark embody the demise of
ESPN. Like I can even roll like I can roll with guys like even like Kendrick Perkins who says
dumb shit. Like Kendrick Perkins I think is goofy and there are times that I'm like okay
Kendrick Perkins said something stupid but I'm okay with it because he's just kind of doofy and it's funny.
And like, oh, I think I could check Jokic because Kobe said I was the best post defender.
I believe he said he could like put the clamps on Jokic.
Okay, dog, I'm sure you could.
Let's see what happens when Jokic is up at the top of the key and what you're going to do with him.
But I can live with it because there are times I find him kind of charming and kind of doofy.
And on occasion, he even laughs.
The problem with ESPN now is as we've talked about is ESPN is has like the reason why there's a Pat McAfee, the reason why Pat McAfee who I look I commend the way he's come up and going through
barstool and stand up the guy's built a universe for himself and he deserves it he earned it he
put in the effort. I'm not a huge fan like my wife is but
like he's down. I commend him. I don't think he was just some
guy given a million things. He went out and had an angle and
people liked it. Not my favorite thing, but whatever. The
reason why he works and the reason why Pat McAfee has a
universe he's in an ESPN is because people got tired of the
Ryan Clarks and this kind of bullshit on a consistent basis.
And that's why there's a world for Pat McAfee.
There you go.
But anyway, all right more to come.
