Joyner in forever. I would imagine Seth would remember who I am. I would think he would. I mean,
We did weekly radio hits together, so I would think he has some knowledge of my existence.
You'd be amazed by who remembers you.
Like, I told you at the time that I was in the elevator in Philadelphia, and D'Amico Ryan's was at the radio station.
He goes, it's Josh from 610.
I'm like, yeah, they remember me from Houston.
Like, it's fascinating.
Who remembers you and who doesn't?
And I would imagine Seth Joyner would remember me.
But Seth is on WIPA every week, and he talked about A.J. Brown.
Dude kind of eviscerated him.
It's pretty impressive.
Let's play that audio and talk about it after these words.

All right, here we go. So A.J. Brown, you know how I feel about A.J. Brown. The guy is a me, me, me player, and he does it under the guys of being a team player.
He does it in a way that he almost gets away with it, right? Like, idiots will buy it. Like, people who just want to buy.
that A.J. Brown is a team player. We'll buy that A.J. Brown is a team player because they go into it
wanting to buy that A.J. Brown is a team player. So when he says stuff like, man, I just want to
help the team. Like, that's the kind of shit you say. We're like, I want to feel like I help the team
win. When you are in a bad, sad mood after the team wins games and your argument is, look, man,
I want to contribute to the win. Like, that ain't a team dude. He ain't. And that's fine. Like,
some dudes aren't. A lot of wide receivers aren't. A lot of dudes are out there to get their shit, right?
Like, that's what they, look, I felt that like when I was a kid and our team would win in basketball, but I didn't do anything.
Real talk, I'd be like, well, what the fuck did I do?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I get it.
I understand it.
But, like, the idea that A.J. Brown, like, he says these things that convince morons that he's a team player because these people are morons and they want to believe that A.J. Brown is a team player because that's how we operate.
We have camps of people.
We have factions, right?
We have groups.
We have this person who, like, this group of people who are going to defend this guy and this group of people who are not.
It's like Shadur Sanders, right?
No matter what Shadur Sanders does, there will be a group of people who think Shadur
Sanders is really good, and he's been screwed over because his dad is Dion and the world is
racist, and they hate him because he's a cocky black guy.
There's another group of people who, no matter what he does, will downplay every single
thing he does.
Like, that's just how the world works.
People have camps.
Famous people have camps of people and groups of people who are their supporters and their
detractors, and they are shills one way or the other.
They cannot be moved.
So if you believe that A.J. Brown is somehow this amazing guy that's a great team player and he's really upset and truly just wants to help the team win, then when he puts up numbers, you don't hear anything about how the team sucks, even though they're losing the games, he's putting up the numbers in, like, come on, right? But like nobody has the ability anymore to just think in each individual moment and look at each individual situation like it's its own individual situation. What we're dealing with is people have to look at things through the lens of the big picture, and they have to look at lenses.
through the lens of, well, this is my political party. This is my player. This is whatever.
And I cannot look at things individually or in the micro. I have to look at everything in the
big picture and not each individual little thing. So Seth Joyner was on WIPA. And he talked,
I mean, to me, I mean, he kind of just shits on A.J. Brown without totally shitting on him.
But the thing about Seth that's cool is he's got this big kind of deep voice and he's this big
hulking dude. Never smiles. I never saw this. I never saw this.
guy smiled just a serious badass linebacker will fuck your day up that's Seth Joyner so like when
he says shit and he says shit that's like ripping you it's not like in a loud outlandish way
it's in an intimidating intense way I know the people gonna be pissed at me and he might even be
pissed at me but in a lot of ways he's the typical you know wide receiver you know 21st century
wide receiver diva okay and he's selfish because
when he was
getting the ball on a regular basis
there was no complaining
like the Eagles
lost two games in a row
and AJ Brown had nine plus
targets and a touchdown
you ain't complaining now
okay
and he's still giving up on routes
Seth what's up with that
you're not complaining now
bingo
where's the talking
so the idea like the
idea that anyone wanted to believe or chose to believe that A.J. Brown gives a shit if the team wins or loses the games, he doesn't. He cares if A.J. Brown puts up A.J. Brown's numbers. And maybe that's because he thinks he won't be there next year. Maybe he'll be dumped. I don't know. But A.J. Brown, like many wide receivers, A.J. Brown is a selfish player. A.J. Brown cares about A.J. Brown. That's why A.J. Brown will roll the quarterback up under the bus. That's why A.J. Brown will roll up coaches under the bus. And he'll do it under the guise of,
Look, man, I just want to help the team win.
I want to feel like I contributed to us winning the game.
That's all I want to feel.
I want to feel like I did something.
I want to feel like I helped the team win.
And if you're a dipshit, you'll hear that and go, yeah, he just wants to help the team win.
No, the dude wants his.
You don't hear a fucking thing from this dude when he's putting up 10 catches and 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Had a meaningless touchdown in the game late.
Like when I watched him score the meaningless touchdown against the bears, I'm like, boy, this is a big day for him.
It's huge.
Okay.
So that tells me that all of that bitching and moaning was really self-centered.
Okay?
And you want to hear something crazy, Joe?
After the game on Friday night, I had a Hall of Fame wide receiver called me.
Oh, I wonder what Hall of Fame wide receiver it is.
I mean, I'm sure he knows plenty of Hall of Fame wide receivers,
but he played for the Eagles and played for the Cardinals.
What Hall of Fame wide receivers is Seth Joyner boys?
Boy, I wonder, who is it?
And he said that this team
would probably be better off
without A.J. Brown.
Well, they might be.
Because... I mean, he might not be on the team next year.
Well, I don't think he will be.
Now, think about this offense.
Okay?
I talked about in past
years when he was having success,
it was all good.
Correct. Again, the
wins and losses don't matter. The outcome
of the game doesn't matter.
As long as the dude is getting his, because that's how people who operate in that mindset work.
And to a degree, I understand it.
Because there are times I feel that way, right?
Because I'm an asshole.
I don't know how I can't tell you.
But there are times where you're like, hey, everybody's successful, but I ain't doing shit.
Like if the station were doing well, like if 610 were doing well, and our show were third place among the show's ratings on the station, I'd be pissed off about it.
Now, it's a little bit different because if your numbers are lower than everybody else's, you might be on the chopping block.
There is no, hey, the station's doing well as a whole.
It is individual shows, right?
Like, you get bonus for individual shows.
Your success is determined by individual shows.
It's not determined by, you know, an overall station rating, right?
So, you know, at least in my mind.
So, like, if we'd have lower ratings than the morning show, I'd be pissed about it.
And so, like, I get that.
Like, I understand it to a degree.
But when you come out and you're like, I just want to help the team win, right?
and I want to feel like
I contributed to the team winning
that's what people do
when they're trying to make it seem
like they care about the big picture
but they don't they care about their numbers
but when Devante's having a career
year and Dallas Goddard's leading the
team and touchdowns
okay you mean to tell me you can't
be happy for those guys and we're
winning
if they are taking you away
with coverage
and your teammates are getting it done
You mean to tell me that you can't be happy for your teammates and be happy that we'll win it?
No, you can't.
That's not how he's programmed.
That's not how he's built.
That's not who he is.
A.J. Brown is not a person that can be happy for other people.
And he's in the ultimate team thing in the sense that, like, the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl and you win a championship.
As I brought up radio, like in my radio life, there is no, hey, the radio station was number one.
It's individual shows because that's how you determine whether or not you live or not.
That's how you determine whether or not you have a job.
A.J. Brown doesn't have to put up 100 yards a game to be part of a team that wins a Super Bowl
or to keep a job with a team that wins a Super Bowl.
But A.J. Brown is not programmed to believe that winning is what matters.
What matters is A.J. Brown winning.
And he is a wide receiver in this era.
And these dudes are mentally just broken.
Like, I saw it in Nashville with the dude.
And I told you the dude would be a mess going to Philadelphia.
If he was a mess in Nashville where nobody gives a shit in the media's Nambi, Pambi,
land. Do you think that he's going to go to Philly and be better? Now, granted, they've won with him.
And at the end of the day, 20 years from now, you're going to have Super Bowls. And you're going to
look back on those and the people that were part of it are going to be happy about it.
But what A.J. Brown cares about is that A.J. Brown puts up A.J. Brown's numbers.
That's all he gives a shit about. He does not care about the wins and lots of. And maybe that's
not even fair. Maybe like he wants to win. Like, I don't think you want to go two and 14 or
two and 15. You want to win games. But if the, if it's win games and, you know,
win big but you don't put up 10
catches a game or go 8 and
4 and sputter offensively through the
first 12 games but at least you get yours
I think he would take the latter. You're
walking around moping and
bitching and complaining because you ain't
getting targets? Like that tells me everything that I need to
know. Yeah. I don't know how it took people
this long to know this about this dude
but this is who he is. This is who A.J.
Brown is. It's who he was in
Nashville and of course again you'll
have his people that will defend him
endlessly because some of its ratio, like you'll see a bunch of black dudes,
will defend a black dude when white dudes are being critical.
That happens everywhere.
Like, so that'll happen here.
You'll have certain dudes who just hate football players for political reasons or whatever,
and they'll shit on them too.
It goes both ways.
Like, that is a real-world thing, right?
Like, there are people who there are white dudes who will always just hate Shador because of Dion.
And, like, look, it exists on both sides.
I'm not telling you it doesn't.
But in the case of A.J. Brown, if you are even remotely critical,
of the guy and say he's a me, me, me guy.
There will be a buzzer that will go off with a bunch of fans,
and these people will tell you that you're an asshole
and you have no clue and you don't even know the guy or whatever.
All I know is A.J. Brown looks like he's in a much better mood
when A.J. Brown is putting up A.J. Brown's numbers.
Even if they blew a 21-point lead to their arch rival, the Cowboys,
and even if they lost to the fucking bears on the day after Thanksgiving,
as long as A.J. Brown is in the highlights,
and A.J. Brown has two tuds, and A.J. Brown is putting up his numbers,
and A.J. Brown will get his stats and his bonuses.
is A.J. Brown does not give a shit.
He's totally cool with it.
And that's pretty obvious.
So I'm with Seth on that one.
And that's pretty scathing, right?
Now, Seth is a very scathing guy.
Like, that's how he operates.
Like, that dude don't fuck around.
I've never known that guy in my experience with him to be a guy that I'd say, oh, you know, he's fucking around.
Like, he does not fuck around.
But, like, spare me this idea that A.J. Brown gives a shit about anything but A.J. Brown.
Because if you, to a degree, like, you want to play well and be part.
of something. You don't want to go out there and practice out all week and go out and have two
catches. Like, I get that. Like, that's, like, when I played high school basketball, much lower
level, right? But, like, you want to go out there and feel like you contributed, especially if
you're a star player. Like, I was never a star player or anything. Like, you want to feel like
you're doing something. But when the team is, you know, eight and two and things are going well,
and yes, the offense has issues, and he's not wrong in being critical of the offense's
issues. But let's not act like AJ Brown cares about the offense's issues because the
offense wasn't performing. He cared about the offense's issues because AJ Brown wasn't getting
AJ Brown's numbers and his stats and his touchdowns. I mean, let's be real. More to come.
