All right, let's see here.
So Brian Callahan, who's probably going to get fired as the coach of the Titans,
because they are a joke and he seems to be a joke.
He had some words to say about Cam Ward.
Now, if you recall Cam Ward after the game on Sunday in which the Titans lost and fell to 0 and 4,
Cam Ward, in short, had this to say.
I mean, if we're keeping a book right now, we ask.
All right.
Now, that's been making its way around.
People are putting it on T-shirts in Nashville.
It's good, and I appreciate his honesty.
Well, Brian Callahan says, we're not here for that.
He says, quote, Cam Ward's a young player.
He's the number one overall pick.
He's the face of the franchise, if you will.
He's got high expectations for himself, and we have high expectations around him.
And all we want is to meet those.
His ability to be in that spotlight and that moment is a growing process for him.
He's growing up.
I think he's starting to understand the weight of his words what those things mean when he speaks
and everyone's listening and watching.
And even though he follows up his commentary with the right things, it's the one-liner that gets taken.
So I don't know if we view this as him taking a dig or saying, hey, the guy's got to grow up.
Or he's saying, like, hey, I'm glad that he's taking a leadership role, but make sure that, like, all of your words are not ruined by one wacky line.
I mean, we're keeping a book right now.
We ask.
So maybe there's some validity to what Callahan is saying.
Let me play a few commercials and we'll continue.

So perhaps there is some validity in saying,
and look, it's possible that a shitty messenger can still be right about the message on occasion.
Like Brian Callahan is going to be fired as the Titans coach.
They are a disaster.
I don't see a scenario where he's the coach next year.
And it's not like they're a team that's showing great strides in some position
where you'd go, hey, Brian Callahan's got him going in the right direction,
and another year getting to help with Cam Ward might, you know, change things.
Their offense sucks.
Everything about them sucks.
They're just a bad football team.
So he's probably going to get fired.
And initially when I saw this story, I'm like, dude, let your guy do what he does.
He's going to be refreshing and honest.
Then don't try to put a harness on that.
I mean, we're keeping a buck right now.
We ask.
But I kind of get where he's coming from.
I kind of get it.
I'm like, you know what?
It's okay to go out and be honest.
and it's okay to be frank.
And that's, look, a dude that's been in the league seven years ain't going to say that, right?
A dude that's been in the seven, a league seven years ain't going to walk up to the podium and go.
I mean, we're keeping a book right now.
We ask.
That's the words of a dude who's played four NFL games and is a college guy and all that.
I get where he's coming from.
I'm not saying that he's totally right, but what I'm saying is I get where he's coming from,
which is it's okay to go out there and express your anger and express your how upset you are
because you're used to winning.
You're used to being a guy that can throw for 400 something.
in college. You're used to playing at Miami where, you know, you were winning football
games and you're a Heisman trophy finalist and you end up being the number one overall
pick. And now you're here with us and you guys fucking suck. In fact, you are ass.
I mean, we're keeping a buck right now. We're ass. If we're keeping it buck right now,
we are ass. And you're well aware of that. And you know your ass. So it's totally cool
to go up there and say, we are not playing well. But what's going to happen is, and I think this is
where Callahan is right, is what happens is that particular line is what sticks. And that's still the
line that people are talking about days later.
We're keeping a buck right now. We ask.
And that's the kind of stuff that might rub teammates wrong.
Although, I wouldn't imagine
his teammates are super pissed about that, right?
Like, I wouldn't assume that his teammates
are sitting around today going, man, fuck you,
bro, your ass. Like, they're ass.
Like, it's just being
honest, right? That's a team
that's lost four games. They haven't really been
competitive in any of them. They're not a good football
team. I don't know if there's any other way to describe
what they are. We're keeping a buck right now. We ask.
Other than, hey, we keep it a buck.
If we're keeping a book right now, we are ass.
So I kind of get where he's got.
Like, I don't think this is something that I would rip the coach over.
And he probably knows he's a dead man walking, too.
It's a disaster.
And I love watching the Titans be a disaster
because I really dislike the Titans organization from top to bottom.
And I just enjoy them being terrible,
and they're going to move into this new stadium in a couple of years,
and they're terrible.
And I enjoy that about them.
But, you know, like, I didn't see anything wrong with it.
Like, you go out there.
That's basically what you're worried about is, and this could be where it's lost in
translation as well.
Like, of course, Brian Callahan is never a guy that's going to go to a podium and say,
Hey, to keep it buck, we ask.
We're keeping a buck right now.
We ask.
That's what a young black guy is going to say.
Maybe there's a disconnect there.
Maybe the disconnect is just in the way the message was delivered.
And maybe it's older white guy that just thinks that the message sounds harder than it actually
was.
If we're keeping a book right now, we ask.
Because the older white guy doesn't quite get what, you know, doesn't get the,
lingo or whatever. But I don't think that was a bad thing. I didn't come out of that going, boy,
that's a bad look for Cam Ward. Like, I come out of shit like with Shudur Sanders thinking that
everything that he does looks bad. Because I just think Shudur Sanders is a clown, bless his heart.
Like, his dad doesn't do him any favors. That's one of my guys. You know that Dion's my guy,
and you know the coach prime I enjoy very much. My problem with Shudur is I think Shadur is under
some sort of pressure to like be like his dad. And the problem is he doesn't have to have
the talent to be like his dad?
Like his dad's one of the greatest football players that's ever walked the face of the earth.
Shadur Sanders just happens to be the son of a guy who's one of the greatest football players
to ever walk the face of the earth.
So when I watch Shudur Sanders do the thing where he's not answering any questions and he's
miming and miming his answers to people and that's like an FU to Rex Ryan and shit,
and I'm like, brother, you're like a third street.
Like they didn't view you good enough to play over Dilling Gabriel.
They drafted Dylan Gabriel higher than you, and now with their offense being as bad as it is, and it is terrible.
They've benched Joe Flacco, and they didn't view you as the guy who should get the ball.
And who knows, maybe Shudur is going to be this amazing player, and even if he's not, he's got a certain group of people that are fans that are going to think he's the greatest player ever and he's being held back.
Shudur is actually in a great position, because Shudur is in the Kaepernick seat, which is Kaepernick probably sucks at football and probably suck the last year he was in the league.
and if he would have played for the last 10 years probably would have sucked.
But because he didn't and because he's been out of the game for a decade
and every year he's practicing and trying to get himself in shape to play.
And if he ever gets an opportunity, he will.
And that's going to go until he's 111 years old.
There's a group of people who are convinced that Kaepernick was always able to play
and was screwed by the NFL.
And there's a group of people that will always believe that.
Shudur is in the Kaepernick seat.
He got passed over in the drafts.
So everybody thought he got passed over because of, you know, racism, even though the guy we just played, this guy.
I mean, we're keeping a book right now.
We ask.
That guy was drafted number one overall, yet somehow the NFL is racist because Shudor Sanders was drafted in the fifth round.
But Shudur is in the Kaepernick seat because Shedur now will always be the guy who's not getting played because he's black or because he's outspoken and because the league can't handle an outspoken black guy and they don't want him and they want to punish him and all this shit.
And it's his dad, Dad, is Deon and they want to punish Dion and all this shit.
he's in the perfect seat because he's always going to have a rather large and very vocal fan base
that believes that everything bad that happens to Shedur.
Every opportunity he is not given every time he has passed over,
it is going to be because of race and his dad and all that other shit.
And that's actually the best seat ever.
Like, I don't know what that seat is like, but it's got to be the best seat ever,
knowing that no matter what you do, there is a large group of people who are always going to be on your side
because basically the color of your skin.
And that kind of fucking rules.
I would imagine that that's the coolest shit ever.
No, no one's ever on my side.
I'm a motherfucking white guy.
Ain't nobody on your side in life.
Like, people hate you.
Like, you are predisposed to being hated because you're a white dude.
Not just white, you're a white dude.
So, like, you're the main target of the world.
People hate you because of that.
You're the reason why the world sucks.
You're a white dude.
This guy is always going to have a group of people.
Now, also, there's going to be a very large vocal group of people who hate him for a multitude of reasons, right?
So he's going to have to deal with it.
That comes with being divisive.
You want to be divisive.
You want to be cocky?
You want to wear a big giant watch when you play and point to your watch on the field?
You want to do all that shit?
That's well and good.
Rock on.
Do what you got to do.
Fine.
There's also going to be a very vocal group of detractors and people who fucking hate you.
But there's going to also be a large group of people who have no interest in anything you do on the field.
You are infallible.
Think about how awesome that must be if you're Shadur Sanders and you are fucking infallible to some people.
There's a group of people who do not care if you go out and throw a
seven interceptions. It is someone else's fault that you threw seven interceptions. It is the
Brown's fault that you threw five picks. Like that is the most beautiful spot to be in.
Can you imagine, like Colin Kaepernick, there's a group of people in the world who look at Colin
Kaepernick. And no matter what he does, it's not his fault. It was always someone else's
fault. That is a cool spot to be in. That is the catbird seat. That is the fucking, that you're
riding shotgun, brother. You're driving it. That's fucking great. So then you look at Schederni does
this whole thing where he goes out and he, you know, does the, the miming thing with the media
yesterday.
And there are some people like, grow the fuck up, dude.
And then there's a large group of people, a very vocal group of people who are like,
yeah, y'all can't handle it.
And then they create like some, like, they try to make it seem smarter than it really was.
Like, I like when people do that.
Like, man, y'all just don't get it.
He's doing that because he's saying, no matter what, I say, y'all going to spin it anyway and blah,
blah, blah, blah, blah.
I love that people, like, create their own narratives about this dumb shit that people do.
so good for Shadur because Shadur has been able to be divisive enough where he's got a group of people that really dislike him
and a group of people that really fucking love him and believe that every bad that happens to him is somebody else's fault
and part of that is what his dad has created too his dad's aided of that as much as I like Dion the way he's handled as kids and shit is kind of weird to me
but hey I mean he's the dad and that's how he's handled it but there's something off about Shadur like I don't think he's stupid like I don't think he's
he's a dumb guy. I don't look at him and go, that's a stupid guy because he's obviously
pretty smart with his branding and shit. I look at Shudur and think that this is a guy that's
in an unenviable spot where your dad is not only one of the greatest football players of all
time, but your dad is also one of the biggest personalities of all time. And that's probably
who's teaching you and what's guiding you in life. So you're probably thinking that's what
you have to be. And when I look at Shadur, I don't see a guy who is that.
Like there are some guys you just look at and they sell it. And you're like, I buy that you're
this big flashy guy.
Like, I watch Shadur a lot, and I see a guy that kind of stares down at the floor a lot,
and he talks really kind of slow.
And, like, I look at him and I think that, like, I don't see Dion, but I see a guy who has
to be Dion, if that makes sense.
I don't know if that made any sense at all, but that's what I see when I watch Shadur.
Like, I see a guy who's almost having to be something that he's not comfortable being,
but he has no other choice because that's the expectation.
like he can't go out and just be some kind of like you know humble kind of character like he has to go out and have the big flashy watches and do all the shit and be that dude which is a tough spot when your dude was your dad was that dude and like although the actual Dion Sanders is not Prime like Prime is a character and I know it sounds ridiculous that we're talking about a grown man who plays a character but if you listen to Coach Prime's book like Coach Prime is a character Prime was a character it's a guy he's a guy he's
he created to elevate his status as a player, and it made him, whereas Dion is not that guy.
I look at Shudur, and there's just something uncomfortable about him.
Like, he's doing stuff that I don't think he's totally comfortable with doing, but it's
stuff he feels like he has to do because that's the expectation, because he is the pride and joy
of Coach Prime.
And I'm not saying that's Coach Prime's fault either.
I'm not saying, and I feel weird saying Coach Prime, but, like, I don't think it's like, I don't
think he's some sort of overbearing dad in that way. I don't think he's some piece of shit
dad that's like, be like your dad. I think there's an understood, under-talked-about thing where you're
kind of like, God, this is the expectation. I guess I kind of got to carry the torch. I'm kind of like
the next, I'm the next dad. I'm Dion. What do I do? So, I don't know. I just think he's a weird
dude. Like, there's just something that's kind of off about him and he just seems. Like, I don't
think he's stupid by any means. Like, I don't think he's a stupid. I don't think he's a
dumb guy, but when I hear him talk and I watch him and the way he kind of like his eyes
kind of move about when he talks to, like, I don't know, there's just something that's off
about him is what I'll say. Like, it's just like, he's kind of strange is all. And I don't
know that he's comfortable in the role that he's been thrust into. But maybe I'm wrong.
All right, more to come.
