Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything, like packing a spare stick.
I like to be prepared.
That's why I remember 988 Canada's suicide crisis helpline.
It's good to know just in case.
Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder.

All right, everybody,
all up in this podcast.
Welcome in, my friends.
I'm glad you are there.
So this story is in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Right down the road from me,
about 45 minutes, the home of the Michigan
Wolverines, where at a smoothie king,
there were some folks,
one of the folks wearing a
Trump hoodie who was denied service at this Ann Arbor smoothie king. So basically the story is like a dude and his wife.
They were going in to get a smoothie. There's a girl working the counter at smoothie king. All right.
And she refused service to these people because she was uncomfortable with the fact this person was wearing a trump hoodie.
Now, there was filming that began, so I guess the people that were being denied service started filming this.
And I don't know who actually, I guess the people filming this were the people who were being denied service at smoothie king, which by the way, I go to smoothie king like every day.
I get the hydration berry and it's lovely.
I like smoothie king.
So right out in front, I am not going to be one of these people who says, I'm boycotting smoothie king because I will never.
boycott smoothie king.
That will not happen.
Despite all the Trump people they deny,
I like smoothies.
In the same way that I'm not some sort of like
anti-gay dude or anti-gay marriage
person. But you know what?
I continue to go to Chick-fil-A.
I'm not religious at all. I love gay folks.
Gay folks is cool. I love lesbians.
Lesbians is cool, right? So I'm down with all that
kind of stuff. But
I'm not going to stop going to the
chicken fillet.
Because it's delicious.
That that I have, and snake against lesbians.
I love lesbians.
They are lesbians.
And they are lesbians as coo.
So I'm all for it.
But before we play some of this audio and talk about it, let's play a few commercials.
All righty.
Let's us see.
This is audio of the girl working at Smoothie King, denying service to somebody wearing a Trump hoodie.
Yeah, like we don't support that.
Our company is not about that.
Like, we're not really comfortable with that.
First things first.
That's not your place to say that.
Like, you're not Mr. Smoothie King.
You are not someone who can just tell people that your company doesn't support that.
That's not how it works.
In the same way that somebody working at Smoothie King can't see a guy walking in with a rainbow flag and be like, hey, we don't support, we don't do the gay stuff.
I don't know why I just trumped out there.
We don't do the gay stuff.
There's no gay stuff here, no gay.
So you can't do that.
That's not how these things work.
So I don't know who this person is that was working the counter.
That is not your place to say what the company accepts.
Right?
Anyway, we continue.
Okay, well, you can have a great day because we have the right to refuse service.
So you're discriminating, right?
So we're just, you're getting loud, sir.
And that's the problem.
Then what happens is you're offended by the fact that somebody won't make a smoothie for you because of who you voted for.
And then it's, oh, sir, you're getting loud.
Well, you've basically told me I'm a piece of shit.
Like, that's the thing these people don't understand is you've essentially told somebody you're a piece of shit because of who you voted for.
Now, that said, whether this is fair or unfair, I do believe that when you wear a Trump hoodie, you know.
that you are bringing on this kind of reaction from crazy people.
Like, you know this.
Like, so you know when you put on a Trump hat or a hoodie, it's like the episode of curb your
enthusiasm where Larry is wearing the MAGA hat because he doesn't want people to bother
him.
And he knows that people will, like, not talk with him if he's wearing a MAGA hat, right?
So he wears it so he can be left alone.
Like, there is an element, a giant element of truth to that.
Like, people, like, if they see you wearing a MAGA shirt, there's an element that would
believe you're doing that just to kind of instigate, which I think is true. I think there's an
element of that where you put on a Trump hoodie, you walk into a business, you know that there's
going to be people, whether they truly feel this way or not, are going to be offended by it or
threatened by it or whatever. So I think you know that going in. That said, you should not be
walking into a smoothie king and have someone tell you that we can't serve you because of a hoodie
you're wearing that just says, I'm guessing make America great again or Trump or whatever.
Okay, thank you.
No, we're not serving Trump supporters.
You have a great day.
Also, this person posted this video, I believe.
So I think the girl that was working the counter,
who you kind of feel clout chaser here,
posted this video on Instagram and titled the video
Refusing Service to Trumpies Gone Wrong.
You have a great day.
I'm confused if this is a joke too.
Like, we're questioning the same thing.
Okay.
Like, do think about how fucked up it is, though, to just tell someone to leave.
Right?
Like, you know what?
Get the hell out of here, you Trumpies.
Because you're Trump supporters?
They're going on Facebook by us because they're Trump supporters.
The Trump does not start a war yesterday?
Like, that's not your job.
It is not your job to lecture somebody about who they voted for.
But that's part of the problem.
that we have with people is now we've created a world where one side of things, or really both
sides, but one side of things really feels like they are the moral superiority, and they feel
like they can do anything because, and this is where the liberal people come in.
The liberal people have called this dude Hitler for so long that you've taken people and
convinced them that this guy literally is Hitler and he's a racist and he's a homophobic and he's all
of these things.
And since you've convinced people of this, they think it is acceptable to tell people who've
voted for this guy that basically you're a piece of shit and you're a horrible human and we will not serve you.
Like that's the other crazy part is we're in a world where you wear a Trump hoodie or a giant piece of shit no matter what.
But if you're gay, you're a hero no matter what.
And I'm not saying being gay is wrong.
Be as gay as you want to be.
I don't give a shit.
But point being in all of this is like you wear a maga hoodie, you're no doubt a horrible person.
You're gay.
You're assumed to be a great.
person, all of because who you fuck.
It's crazy.
Also, why would you
came in here with like
a lot of space?
Okay, well, you said you were going to leave, so please just have a great day and leave
so we can continue what we're doing.
Like, thank you.
Also, why would you tell someone to have a great day
if they started a war?
They started a war.
I mean, at this point, just tell them to eat shit and die.
Guy started a war. He's Hitler.
Yes.
Okay, well, have a great day.
Like, you're still here.
That's illegal.
I said Trump discriminates us.
Right.
It's nothing to do with us.
Why don't it's a smoothie?
Okay, but that's what you support.
That's what you love, though.
So go ahead.
Have a great day.
You don't know what is.
You don't have a great day.
Like, why are they still here?
Why are they still here?
Okay, that's fine.
You're just making up a company.
They're still here because you didn't do your fucking job, lady.
Your job is to serve people to smoothies.
Now, if someone's in there committing a crime, it's a different story.
If, like, somebody's got, like, their kid on a fucking leash or something,
or some guy's beating the hell out of a kid.
or a woman or something in a store, that's a different story.
This is someone wearing a hoodie, and because someone in your place is quote-unquote
uncomfortable by this, which, you know, your comfort is not of my concern.
And by the way, it'd be a whole different story if someone's wearing something that is
overtly racist on a shirt or something.
These people are not.
I don't care.
Like, have a great day.
Get out.
Go.
Go.
Go.
Go.
Go.
Like, he's like, go.
Like, is that, are you not embarrassed?
Are you not embarrassed?
That's embarrassing.
You guys supporting Trump?
That's embarrassing for you.
That's embarrassing for you guys.
They're clearly not embarrassed by it.
They're clearly not.
That's who they voted for.
That's who they're into it.
It is not your job to tell people how to feel while working at the smoothie king.
That is not your job.
It's not embarrassing because my manager's here.
She said the same thing to you.
That's why I'm saying what I'm saying to you.
Okay.
It's not, though.
We have the right to refuse service here and that's what we did.
You asked her what was wrong.
she said that she was uncomfortable right or wrong you ask the question she answered have a great day have a great day
the door is right there have a great day thank you have a great day in one way i'll defend this chick
she's standing up for employee i mean i don't know if that's if she's the boss or what but i'll give her
this she's like hey this is my stance and i'm not backing down but just know you're going to get
fired from that job because you can't do that but at least i'll give her credit for standing up for
a person who's uncomfortable which i don't understand i don't know why this person is uncomfortable by
this. Like, unless it's because you're brainwashed and that's kind of what the media has done,
that's what a lot of people have done. They have brainwashed you into believing that anything
that is right wing or anything that is Trump or anything is like somehow Hitler. I mean, I know
why these people are uncomfortable. Like, I'll defend them. They're uncomfortable because people
who are smarter than they are, people who are more educated than they are, people who have a
bigger microphone than these people do, people who are older and more experienced than they are,
have spent years and years telling them that the person who's on this guy's sweatshirt is Hitler.
So if they're going to spend all that time calling this person Hitler and you're like, well, shit, this guy's Hitler and he hates black people and he hates gays and he hates minorities and he's running people out of the country and all this shit,
when you spend time doing this as much as these people do and you play identity politics as much as these people do and you call Trump Hitler as often as they do, this is the kind of reaction you're going to get from people.
That's on the low end.
The worst end of it is going to be people shooting people.
Oh, my God.
There's no way.
Okay, why are you still in here?
Have a good day.
Like, what?
I think that's the other part that, I think the part that bothers me about this is that like, then you do this and you're so uncomfortable by this that you clout chase and you post on social media refusing service to Trumpies gone wrong.
you're instigating you're clearly not afraid like let me let me put it this way if you were
legitimately afraid of people then you wouldn't be posting this if you were legitimately
afraid you'd be like holy shit something bad could happen to me if I post this perhaps I shouldn't
you're not legitimately scared that's kind of the same thing that that you got from adam carola
a couple weeks ago in that video I keep referencing because I think it's a very smart video
If these people were legitimately afraid of the groups that they're railing on, they wouldn't do it.
That's why they don't rail on people who will legitimately cut your head off and throw gay people off of buildings.
They won't insult those people.
The Trump people are an easy crew to insult because the masses think these people are imbeciles.
Like the media thinks they're imbeciles.
Everybody's going to be on your side.
You're going to get a large group of people on your side for this.
There's no real fear involved in doing this.
So then we find out they fire these kids.
Let's read some of the story.
A video shot by a couple who said they were refused service at an Ann Arbor smoothie store over a hooded sweatshirt with President Trump's name on it quickly gained hundreds of thousands of views.
Not a shock.
The video captured a verbal disagreement between the couple and an employee of a smoothie king location on Jackson Road with an employee telling the couple to leave.
It was shared on X, the social media platform.
Just call it Twitter.
By leftism and other accounts on Monday morning,
she refused to serve customers at Smoothie King
because the husband wore a Trump hoodie
a post on X by leftism.
States what the fuck is leftism?
In the couple's video also shared widely online,
they claim it was discrimination.
I mean, it is.
By definition, it is discrimination.
Why are you not serving someone?
Well, you're discriminating against them
because of who they voted for.
I mean, that's pretty clear.
The employee in the video argued
they had the right to refuse service.
In a video posted by the employee, which was shared by leftism, she says that the company doesn't support that.
We're not really comfortable with that, she said.
She also mentions Trump starting a war yesterday.
We heard all that.
A smoothie king spokesperson issued a statement following the incident.
Smoothie King has a zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind policy, including political affiliation.
We were deeply concerned to learn of an incident involving a guest who was refused service at a franchise location.
in Michigan yesterday, Sunday late afternoon.
That is not the experience we want for anyone who walks through our doors, the company said.
The local franchise owner is conducting a thorough and immediate investigation to ensure we fully
understand the event and determine appropriate actions.
Every guest and team member deserves to feel welcomed.
We remain firmly committed to upholding our brand standards and ensuring our stores
are inclusive environments where everyone feels cared for and respected.
Leftism also posted that the woman had set up a GoFundMe page to collect donations, and it has since been taken down.
So this would be a GoFundMe page for the person who got fired?
The woman wrote that she refused service to Trump supporters who recorded me as a minor without permission after they posted the video, got hundreds of hate comments and threats, making the job no longer safe to return to.
Leftism had called for GoFundMe to remove the page, also calling on Smoothie King to take proper action.
