headline reads high school teacher charged in murder for hire plot involving student paid to
kill husband so what we have here from the sounds of it is a to die for scenario if you've never
seen to die for lovely film with uh nicole kidman and a young joaquin phoenix what is the plot of
this movie oh and it's Matt Dillon. Matt Dillon
plays her husband. It's actually got a really good
cast. It's actually just a really good fucking movie
and it's based on a true story, I believe
or at least it's, you know, somewhat of a
true story about a teacher
who wants her husband dead.
She's got like big, actually she's not a teacher.
I take it back. She's not a teacher.
So this really isn't a to-die-for situation.
It's a somewhat of a to-die-for situation. I believe the plot of to dive for is
she's like a local news or weather person. And she has like an affair with a high school kid.
Essentially, like she went to the school and was like a career day or some shit and was teaching
some sort of like class or something. I don't know. Oh, now I remember.
Sorry.
I think the plot of the movie was she goes there to talk to some students and then she wants to film like some sort of like expose or something
about kids in high school or some shit.
Then she, spoiler alert, she ends up having an affair with fucking Joaquin Phoenix
and she wants Joaquin Phoenix and like his buddies to go kill her husband,
played by Matt Dillon.
Hell, I need to go back and rewatch the movie because I forgot how it ends.
I forgot if they actually kill the guy or not.
I think they might have.
I think they did.
I don't remember.
But Nicole Kidman was super hot.
And when Nicole Kidman puts on her fake English accent, like her American accent, like her basic white chick accent, I really kind of enjoy it.
And she had blonde hair in this movie.
Go watch To Die For. I think it's from like 1995. So at the end of it, I guess really this isn't a
scenario that's like To Die For. It's like To Die For adjacent based on the headline. High school
teacher charged in murder for hire plot involving student paid to kill husband. Let's do this.

kill husband. Let's get the deets. It's from Columbus, Ohio. A teacher at the Academy for
Urban Scholars High School in Columbus is facing serious allegations after reportedly offering to
pay a student to have her soon-to-be ex-husband killed. Court documents reveal that
Stephanie Demetrius, 44, of Powell, approached a student at the school on March 26th,
offering $2,000 to carry out the murder. Now, let's start there.
You just go up to a dude in school, like we're in PE here. I'm assuming that this guy's got to
be in high school,
right? I would assume probably at least 16, 17 years old, maybe. Now it sounds like it's at a smart school because it's called the Urban Scholars High School in Columbus. Although it may not be a
good high school, who knows? But I mean, if I read urban scholars, I mean, the word scholar is in the
name of the fucking school. It's not just like, oh, go to Robert E. Lee High School here.
The word scholar is in the name of the institution of learning.
Therefore, I would assume it's smart kids, but who knows?
So assuming it's a high school person, like is he out on the gym playing fucking tetherball?
Guy's playing kickball.
He's like, hey, come over here.
You want to kill my fucking husband?
Here's two grand.
I'm just intrigued by how you broach this, like how you come up with this topic, like how this comes up, like, Hey, so how's
algebra? Well, you know, I'm kind of struggling with it and, uh, you know, trying to do better.
Uh, that's great. How about let's teach you a little math here, Stevie. Here's a little math
for you. You plus gun plus my husband equals I'm single.
Oh, sorry, I forgot.
You plus $2,000 plus a gun plus my husband equals single.
This particular teacher was attempting to groom this young person into committing murder,
Sergeant James fuqua with
the columbus division of police charging documents say the student was initially paid 250 in cash as
a down payment hey guys this murder's on layaway i'm gonna pay for it in installments
investigators have collected digital evidence including a recorded phone call between the
student and demetrius during the call demetrius assured the student that the remaining payment
was not a concern stating she owed an additional 15 another interesting part of that is that
they say these teachers don't make a lot of money and that teachers are underpaid and underfunded
and schools are struggling financially well friends sounds to me like miss demetrius here in columbus ohio at the urban
scholars school here is doing pretty well for herself if she's able to pay two thousand dollars
to a high school kid to bump off her husband maybe we're paying the teachers too much
i'm just saying.
Police say they learned about the alleged murder for hire plot when the teen's mom discovered suspicious information on her son's phone and contacted authorities.
That's the other thing.
This is why you can't get away with this kind of shit anymore. Like back in the day, it was a lot easier to get away with cheating or committing murders or whatever because there was very little paper trail like it was very possible to leave very little paper trail of your dastardly deeds
right now everybody's texting everybody's in the dms everyone's snapchatting all that sort of shit
right so i'm gonna i'm just gonna say that like doing anything involving a cell phone is bad.
There's just no way to do it.
You just have to talk with someone, hope they're not recording you,
and that's the best you can do.
You write it on paper, then you've got to set the paper on fire.
There's just no way.
Don't do dastardly things.
That would be my advice.
Don't do dastardly deeds because there's no way you're going to get away with it.
But apparently the mom found out about this.
I don't know why mom's going through her son's phone. Personal privacy, moms.
Without their help, some of this might not have come to light, said Fuqua. This was a situation
where a parent was able to capture things inside this young person's phone and contact authorities.
Demetrius also provided details about her estranged husband's schedule noting when their children would be out of the house and that he worked from home
when questioned about potential noise from gunfire she reportedly dismissed concerns
about the neighbors ah they're used to it we live in a shitty neighborhood
they hear it all the fucking time it's it's old hat to us
court records showed Demetrius and her husband married in 2004 and were going through
divorce proceedings. ABC6 reached out to the high school for a comment, but no one contacted us.
During a virtual hearing, a public defender for Demetrius denied the charges, calling it a
defabrication. Demetrius has been released on a $150,000 cash surety bond. Her preliminary hearing
is scheduled for April 11th at 9 a.m conditions of her bond
include no consumption or possession of alcohol no drug use no violence uh obeying protection
orders and staying away from the juvenile involved in the case as well as the victim
so like this this actually doesn't sound like a situation where we've got uh a to die for because in to die for she was banging the student so like
if that first off this chick's 44 and pretty haggard looking so i don't think some young
dude was turned on by the idea of this teacher anyway miss demetrius here i don't think she was
turned on by the idea or he was turned on by the idea like look if you're gonna try to get a high school kid to bump off
your ex soon-to-be ex-husband you need to be smoking fucking hot or be flush with cash like
i don't know that a kid today sees two thousand dollars and goes that's great i mean that's
that's nothing to these kids today two thousand dollars doesn't seem like that much money
so you're offering me two thousand dollars you're only giving me a $250 down payment on the murder.
And you ain't even hot and offering me any tail.
Now, if she looked like 1995 Nicole Kidman in To Die For, then there's more incentive.
And she had also convinced the guy that they were in love, which he was in love with her, right? And she wanted him to bump off the husband.
But that was hot 1990s Nicole Kidman.
Prime Nicole Kidman. This is just
some haggard old chick here who's offering a paltry sum of money for a murder, $2,000 for a
murder. I don't know what the going rate for a murder is right now. I don't know if you go to
Reddit and look this up, but I'm going to assume that the going rate for a murder has got to start in five
figures. Like, yeah, it's got to be five figures. Anything less than 10 grand is like, I don't
think so. I'm intrigued by murder for hire stories. Like I was watching one of these documentaries
about the high school, the cheerleader momxas that allegedly tried to get like the uncle to kill
the the main competition and the cheerleader uh like the chick like took her daughter's spot on
the cheer squad it's just fascinating how these people leave like a trail of all this shit it's
like people are wild bro it's pretty crazy to think about it but like and i think hers even involved like ten thousand
dollars or something and that was back in the 90s so for just i mean think about inflation right
let's look up the texas high school cheerleader i forgot the chick's name texas cheerleader
scandal all right let's see fab five the texas cheerleader scandal from 2008 was when the movie came out
uh let's see that stars jenna duan oh how about that that's all uh that's all uh is that uh tatum
uh channing tatum's ex let's see here uh what's the bad i need the background here
uh mckayla like give me the how much did she actually offer this person to kill him
I forgot how much it was but it happened in the 90s and I think they offered you know money whatever
and um yeah so like let's say it was five grand even five thousand dollars in the 90s inflation
bumps that up like double right like you gotta be if you're gonna offer some kid
money to kill your husband you gotta be a hot piece of ass you probably have to be banging
i think that's fair right like you have to be offering like like you gotta be willing to commit
multiple crimes in this case you're already asking someone to kill your husband right
so that's already one leg of this you might as well go all in at this point and get involved
in a teacher student sex scandal as well like that's kind of your best bet in this situation but you're also not hot so this kid's not
done these kids are dumb they watch porn on their phones now guys they know what's hot they look at
the instagram they see all the fucking the shit on instagram they see the tate mccray videos they
see them they know what's hot so you're not hot and you're offering a paltry sum of cash for a murder no sex
paltry sum for a murder this kid ain't dumb see these kids may not be book smart now right but
they're smart when it comes to real world situations like a murder for hire and they know
that you're 44 years old,
haggard looking,
look like some WNBA player, right?
He ain't going to be fucking you, ma'am.
Real talk.
Hashtag real talk.
There ain't going to be any,
if there's no whoopee, and it's $2,000 for a murder,
you got to do better.
Like, you got to come back with an offer.
What the mom should have done
when she saw those details
is she should have come back
with a counter offer.
Should have been like,
all right, we'll take 10 grand.
If you can find 10 grand up front, we'll consider it.
Although that would also be a crime.
But still, all that said, my boy made a good decision not bumping off this chick's husband.
Maybe the teachers are actually doing a good job after all.
Maybe she taught him well.
Anyway, more to come.
