Howdy, Jamokes! What's going on? It's about 10-12 on Thursday night.
Just finished watching Thursday Night Football, which was a joke the way that game ended.
Holy shit.
Like, it's amazing when you see a guy commit an obvious penalty in the end zone.
He knows he committed the penalty because he grabs his head going,
Oh shit, I made a dumb mistake.
It's right in front of the refs. The whole world sees it as it
happens. And the refs are like, I didn't see anything. Fuck the Rams. Again, not that I had
any rooting interest in who won the game. Although I sat in the Louisiana Superdome about five years
ago and I watched the Rams and the refs give the Saints the pipe when we should have gone to our
second Super Bowl. So I have a little bit of an issue with the Rams. I have a little bit of a disdain for the Rams. So when I see the Rams get the benefit
of another shitty no call in a situation like that, I get a little PTSD. I get a little NFC
championship game PTSD. Now, the odds are the Vikings weren't going to win the game anyway.
They had a long way to go in a short time to get there. They were down by eight, all that.
I get it.
I respect that opinion.
If you have it, fine.
However, with a minute and a half of football to go,
and you got a guy like Justin Jefferson,
who I believe already has a 98-yard touchdown on his resume this year,
it'd be fun to see how they could maybe end that game
and not have the refs bend a team over and say,
thank you very much.
We'll be like,
we're not going to spit on it at this point.
That's a joke.
The way that game ended is a joke.
It's embarrassing for the league.
It's in a prime time game,
the only game happening and the whole world saw it happen when it happened.
Yet the referee standing in the back of the end zone,
watching the quarterback's head get ripped off.
That's not a penalty, but the bullshit calls they call throughout a game
against quarterbacks are penalties.
It's bogus. It's a joke.
And we're drinking wine.
It's halftime of the basketball game that we're going to watch.
Got some prop bets going on the basketball game tonight.
We got wine.
Maybe after the basketball game we might have hocus pocus too.
I don't know.
I don't know what the night's going to bring.
Jilly, how are you?
I'm defeated yet again by another parlay that looked like a fucking layup.
Three of the four legs basically hit in the fourth quarter.
I mean, or first quarter.
Jefferson might have like 70 by then.
So I had Justin Jefferson for 80, which obviously hit.
I had Sam Darnold to throw two touchdown passes,
which he did in the first quarter.
I had, oh, what's the other one?
Oh, I had the, hold on, I have to pull it up.
There we go.
Oh, the Cooper Cup touchdown, first quarter.
So to recap, because I just rambled there.
Cooper Cup, Tud, bang.
Jefferson, 80, bang.
Sam Darnold, two passing Tuds, bang. All I needed was
the Aaron Jones touchdown. Which is one of the
most likely things to happen on the
board tonight. That was my favorite play
of the day. And then boom.
Nothing. So, and then you
think maybe we got a shot at the end of the game to pull
off a miracle and then the refs say, oh
no you don't.
Stupid refs. Unbelievable
to kind of, like, it's just amazing that somebody could miss that.
You watch the ref, and the ref is standing right behind the play.
Well, especially, like you said, with the guy's reaction.
He knew he fucked up, and it was obvious.
Everyone saw it.
Unbelievable.
Just a bunch of bullshit is what that game was.
So, look, I took the 500 combined
passing yards and I hit that and I missed some other shit. I'm mad at myself because I had a
couple of live bets on Nakua's receiving yards and Justin Jefferson's receiving yards, and they
both missed by like two yards. That was a bit upsetting, but look, it is what it is. I got a
hockey goals bet going on right now too, so'll see but what a just a flat out disgrace
a disgraceful way to end that game and just unbelievable so that's kind of where we are
right now it's looking like our internet is also gone to hell we're trying to watch the second half
of the Oklahoma City Denver game tonight and I think because all of our stuff's on the internet
we don't have actual
cable I mean the Amazon worked fine so it might just be spectrum well the Amazon started freezing
too if you'll recall too but so I guess we'll see but maybe our internet is going out but
who the hell knows other stuff going on we can take a look at some of the other NFL matchups
if we'd like to engage in that conversation here momentarily as well let me take a look at some of the other nfl matchups if we'd like to engage in that conversation
here momentarily as well let me take a look at tnt on is it on it's on the spec i think tnt games
are on paramount plus but i might well i don't know it's a good question like i'm going back
and watching the replay of this play and the dude young the second he pulls the quarterback down by his face mask starts
grabbing his own head saying ah shit i guess i blew it and then as it turns out you didn't blow
it chief things worked out pretty good for you so uh rams won that one let's take a look at some of
these games uh that we got coming up uh this weekend we're gonna be in houston this weekend
don't know if we're gonna go to the actual game. I don't know that I'm going to make the hundreds of dollars investment
to buy tickets for the game. So we'll see. If not, we'll just go out to a bar. We will be
out and about when we've got the LSU A&M game. So we will be watching that out at a bar on
Saturday somewhere. We don't know what bar
yet I know that the official LSU watch party alumni watch party is where was it it's at the
Kirby Ice House all the way by Memorial City though so we probably won't be making the run
to go to that one but we'll see what happens but we'll see we'll see how that goes. But let's see. You got the Cardinals and the Dolphins this weekend.
That's Tua's back, so there's that.
You see Jets and Patriots, Eagles and Bengals.
Boy, the Jets are a seven-point favorite against the Patriots.
The idea that anybody is a seven-point favorite,
or the Jets are a 7 point favorite over anybody considering
they're a 2-5 team is a real
indictment on the
Patriots. I think I'm going to take A-Rodge
to throw two tuds in that one. I think that's
a solid play. I think I'm doing a
two-tud parlay as I sat here in
misery with my other one, even though I say
I'm never betting again. I think I'm going to go
Joe Burrow, two tuds against the Birds.
I think I'm going to go Aaron Rodgers, two tuds against the birds. Okay. I think I'm going to go Aaron Rodgers,
two tuds against the Patriots.
All right.
And I think Tua is going to have some catch up
with his buddy Tyreek,
and I think he's going to throw two tuds.
Assuming that his brain doesn't scramble
on like the second play of the game.
That's the risk.
I know I keep saying this,
but if you haven't seen the reels on the Instagrams
where they're Tua reels, but they're
Cuba Gooding Jr. in the movie Radio, and they're Tua-themed reels, search those out. They're
wonderful. But let's see here. I would assume the Jets are going to win just because the Patriots
are terrible. The Cardinals plus 166 against the Dolphins isn't terrible. It's at Miami, and I know two is planes.
That kind of changes things a little bit, but it could be something.
Eagles and the Bengals.
Joey and the boys are a two-and-a-half point favorite against the Birds,
and Cincinnati basically has to just keep winning.
They're not going to win the division,
but as the way the AFC has kind of played out,
they're still right in the middle of the hunt.
We've talked about this.
The Chargers really could have put themselves right in the middle of things too
had they not bombed that game on Monday.
But teams like the Chargers, teams like the Bengals,
we forget about the Steelers.
The Steelers are very much alive in the AFC to win that division.
Are they playing? Are they off? Are they playing?
Let's see. The Steelers are off.
There are no Steelers games this weekend.
There are not one Steelers game.
I saw their logo.
Where?
Did I miss it?
No, there's no Steelers.
Oh.
They play on.
Oh, no, it is.
Oh, my bad.
It is.
They're playing the Giants.
I was going to say maybe they're due.
You know that everyone's like on the rush train now. But yeah, they won't. No. At home against the Giants. Oh, I was going to say, maybe they're due. You know, that everyone's, like, on the rush train now.
But, yeah, they won't.
No.
At home against the Giants.
The Giants are god-awful.
Yeah, no, never mind.
So, now, Rusty may play worse.
Like, it's hard to top what Rusty did.
And as I've said, I'm rooting for Rusty.
I want Rusty to go out.
I want him to put up numbers.
Like, I don't even like him.
But the way the guy was shit on by people and the way he's, you know,
ripped for being a
fucking dork and he seems fraudulent and phony and all that but I enjoy the fact that nobody wanted
him to play in that game against the Jets and then he plays in the game against the Jets and gets
booed while he's in the game against the Jets then outplays Aaron Rodgers for the last two and a half
three quarters of that game so I'm rooting for Rusty in that one uh who do you think the Bengals beat the birds I do so do I I think the Eagles are actually not good uh now that could be
a game with some passing yards though and some receiving yards because two of our favorite guys
Jamar Chase for big plays we also like AJ Brown for receptions and yards there's a lot of action
there but Jalen Hurd struggles with the throwing thing lately but that didn't stop uh now I agree
with you that maybe the overall number of yards maybe not but he finds a way to get the ball to
AJ Brown my friend Devante Smith needs a big bounce back game he cost me a parlay last week
and he never fails me that mofo had like negative two receiving yards last week like I'm really not
a Jalen Hurts guy I really just don't like him at all well poor chuck
he was i don't know he's despondent and sad uh maybe it has something to do with his parlay i
don't know but he's very upset about something um packers and the jaguars i agree that the bangles
are gonna win uh packers and the jags the packers are a three and a half point favorite that also
feels like a game where you can see a lot of slinging. It's features guys like Brian Thomas Jr. that we like, and we like all the
dudes from the Packers. Although my man, Jaden Reed's kind of gone down since they brought the
other guys back, but it's always good to take passing yards in a game with the Packers because
Jordan Love's going to sling the Jaguars show no resistance defensively either. So that could be a
game with a lot of offense. Do you think the Packers go on the road and beat the Jaguars show no resistance defensively either. So that could be a game with a lot of offense.
Do you think the Packers go on the road and beat the Jaguars?
I do.
Same.
Falcons at the Bucs.
The Bucs are a two and a half point home underdog.
They are without, I would assume that they're, well, they're no doubt without Godwin.
Are they also going to be without Mike Evans?
Likely, I think.
I don't think he's going to play.
They said he's not obviously like Godwin fucked up, but he's not great. So I don't think he's gonna play they said he's not obviously like Godwin fucked up but he's not great so I don't think he's gonna play the NFC South's gonna be
fun when that division winner is you know nine and eight eight nine again because like Tampa
looked like they were gonna be legit and now like you've seen Baker kind of come back to earth a
little bit you saw what happened against the Ravens although they were right in that if they
make that field goal at one point it's 20 to to 13 or 17, 13, whatever it would have been.
Instead, it was 20 to 10, and the wheels fell off.
But he also is losing his weapons.
And the last couple of games, he's turned the ball over a ton.
Like, yes, they beat the Saints 51 to 27.
He threw three interceptions in the second quarter of that game,
and I think he threw two or three interceptions against the Ravens.
So he was great for a while.
He's one of these great redemption stories.
He's a lot like Sam Darnold,
but we're kind of seeing Sam Darnold come back to earth a little bit too.
They were the hot team.
They hadn't lost now two weeks in a row.
They went and lost to the Lions,
even though they were up, I think, 10-0 early in that game
and then got the late fumble recovery touchdown. So they were in position to win it, even though they were up, I think, 10-0 early in that game and then got the
late fumble recovery touchdown. So they were in position to win it, couldn't do it. And then
tonight, Darnold was really kind of a non-factor in a lot of the second half of that game. So maybe
these reclamation projects like the Baker Mayfields and the Sam Darnolds, maybe when things get a
little bit tougher against these guys, maybe we start to realize and remember that at the end of the day, there's still Baker Mayfield
and there's still Sam Darnold.
I think the Falcons are going to go win that game, actually.
Look, if you give me Kirk and the weapons he has,
which are his normal weapons,
and you give me Baker
without his two biggest pass-catching weapons,
I'm probably going to ride with Kirkland,
and Kirkland's coming off a bad home loss too,
and Tampa's coming off a loss,
and theirs was a home loss as well.
I still think that the Falcons go in and win.
Ravens and Browns.
Now, they're an eight-and-a-half-point dog of the Browns.
Do we believe that our man Jameis Winston, Jabu wins?
Do we think he can keep it within eight and a half, Jilly?
I want to say yes.
I do.
Because I like Jameis.
But no.
Yeah, I don't think so either.
Like, I think it's going to be bad news for Jameis.
Like, I love the guy.
Like, he's likable.
He's wacky.
He says dumb shit he dances around like like like
you go back and watch like those three minute reels of Jameis doing dumb Jameis shit and you're
like god I love this fucking guy I think the Ravens even though they're coming off a Monday
night like a big Monday night win on the road all that I think that Jameis and the boys are about to
get their dicks knocked in the dirt again because every time I want to believe in Jameis and go like hey Jameis gives him a shot to win
Jameis don't give anybody a fucking shot to win as much as I love him he ain't giving anybody a
shot to win also I just saw Candace Parker on TV used to be in love with her who would have known
she was a lesbian except for the fact that she was married who is that alien looking motherfucker
she was married to that went to Duke?
Sheldon Williams.
And now you're like, it makes sense.
Even lesbians can have beards too.
And that was her beard, Sheldon Williams.
Let's see here.
The Colts and the Texans.
Texans are favored by five and a half.
I don't know.
I refuse to make a pick.
In a game that we may be attending, I can't.
I'm going to Herbstreet it here.
Yeah, Chili's going to the game maybe, so Chili cannot make a pick.
I do think the Texans are going to win.
The issue is, and we saw it in week one when you and I were in Indianapolis,
you know, Richardson can get the ball down the field against them
and make
big plays. The Texans are susceptible to big plays. And now the Texans, I don't believe are
going to be making as many big plays of their own because obviously Nico isn't there. And we saw it
last week, the big splash plays really weren't there. Like the reason the Texans were able to
win that game in week one. And this is also a big factor. Joe Mixon is back. Joe Mixon ran for like
a buck 70 on him in week one.
That's a huge part of it.
But the Texans, every time they needed a big play,
they were able to find Nico Collins.
They were able to make big plays.
I don't know.
So it's more of a concern.
I still think they're going to win the game, though.
Let's see, Titans and Lions.
The Lions are an 11.5 point favorite.
Yeah.
Okay, there you go.
Saints and Chargers.
The Chargers are a 7.5-point favorite with the Saints.
I like the way the Chargers are playing right now,
and I really like the way...
Herbert may throw for like 500.
If he doesn't, it's a failure.
I'm looking at what you're getting out of Herbert.
The last two weeks, Herbert has been exponentially better and, uh, and his passing yardage total still end up at a low spot. It's
kind of fascinating. Uh, I think he's going to throw all day on the saints. The saints are a
disaster and, uh, they're going to beat the shit out of them. This is a fun game. The bills and
the Seahawks in Seattle, Seattle's a three-point underdog.
We're still waiting to see the really, really bad game from Josh Allen,
and it's coming at some point.
I still don't think he's thrown a pick.
I don't think he has.
He's due to throw the interception.
This son of a bitch has to throw an interception at some point,
and maybe it's this weekend in Seattle,
but it probably isn't because Seattle's also going to give up a bunch of big plays.
Is DK hurt?
I don't know if he's playing or not.
I think he left the game this last week with an injury.
So more than likely the Bills win, but there's got to be a game where Josh Allen plays like shit.
There's got to be a game that he turns the ball over.
Maybe this is that one.
Bears are a road favorite at the Commanders, but that has a lot to do.
And what really matters here is whether or not
Jane Daniels is playing.
And at this point, I don't think anybody knows.
And even if he does, he's probably not 100%.
He hasn't practiced all week.
That makes me sad because Caleb versus Jalen
would have been good.
That'd be a fun game.
If he plays, I would say the Commanders win,
but the Bears are playing really well.
Panthers at Broncos.
The Broncos are at 10.5 point favorite.
I don't know if the Broncos should be
a 10.5 point favorite against anyone.
I might take the Panthers to cover.
Well, you know Bryce Young's starting.
What a fucked up world.
Just a wild world.
Why is the Red Rooster not starting?
Him and his family got into a car accident.
Well, I knew that, but they said they were okay,
so I guess he's not as okay.
He has a sprained thumb.
Oh, damn car accident. I think they may have used the car accident well i knew that but they said they were okay so i guess he's not as okay he has a sprained thumb oh damn car accident they may have used the car accident as a reason to put bryce back yeah well maybe so that'd be a solid move like listen we need it we need someone we ordered
the code red somebody t-bone the red rooster family vehicle they couldn't just swap them for
no reason at that point right so you have to have a reason oh he sprained his thumb in a car accident well part of the reason could be because you ain't
winning shit with the rooster either he still has one more win than bryce young that's true
uh but the broncos shouldn't be a 10 and a half point favorite against anyone i'll take the panthers
to cover maybe this is like like shit or get off the pot time for bryce young it's like listen i've
i've had my come to Jesus moment.
I thought I was big shit.
I'm not big shit.
Now I get my redemption arc here.
So maybe this is what we're getting. That being said, the Broncos defense is pretty good.
Oh, the Broncos defense is good.
But they're also like, they played the Saints last week.
The Saints offense is terrible.
The Panthers offense is terrible.
Someone needs to knock the dick off of Sean Payton and his shitty fucking team.
I don't care about their little defense.
Their offense blows.
Somebody needs to punch these guys in the dick.
They're going to get their comeuppance as they start playing the Kansas Cities,
and they start playing better teams if they do.
I don't know what their fucking schedule is.
But someone's got to end and finish the fucking Broncos.
I can't stand them.
I can't stand Payton. I can't stand them. I can't stand Peyton.
I can't stand Bo Nix.
He sucks.
That team blows.
I need to see them be derailed.
Let's see.
The Chiefs and the Raiders.
That's a waste of time.
Although the Raiders always play the Chiefs tough.
Who the hell is the quarterback for the Raiders?
Are we still with Aiden O'Connell?
Have we gone back the other way?
Aiden O'Connell got hurt.
So we're back with Gardner. Yeah, and who did they just
sign? They just signed Bailey Zappi. Oh boy.
I think, right? Were they the ones who signed
Bailey Zappi? I think, and if Bailey Zappi's
playing, if that's a possibility, then I'm taking
upset Raiders. Let's
see. Cowboys and 49ers. The
Cowboys are only a four and a half point dog at
the 49ers. No, wait, hold on. Bailey Zappi, the Browns
signed Bailey Zappi. Ah,
okay, my bad. I don't know who the Raiders signed.
Also, I would not be shocked if the Cowboys went into San Francisco.
And granted, San Francisco's a mess right now.
If the Cowboys went to San Francisco as a four and a half point underdog and won.
The Raiders signed Desmond Ritter.
Ah, okay.
So, tomato, tomato.
But I'm sure Gardner will still start.
Yes, I would assume.
Poor Gardner's like, oh, now you need me.
I would not be shocked if the Cowboys go into San Francisco and win.
The 49ers just seem to be a mess.
Cowboys are also a mess.
But I could see a scenario where they go in and win that game as a four and a half point
underdog uh and then you brought up the Giants and the Steelers I think the Steelers are going
to win that just the Giants are disgraceful and they're horrible in the Chiefs game you think
he gets a ton right at the gate if he plays I think he will he'll put up numbers he has to
uh so there you go kind of a look at around the uh the NFL action this weekend. At some point, probably tomorrow, and obviously tomorrow is today if you're listening on Friday,
I do need to do the prop to your drop.
So probably tomorrow when I go for my walk and what have you, I'll go to the park and
I'll get out my phone and I'll make sure that you kiddos get a prop to your drop.
I'll get all my prop bets ready for you.
We'll be good to go.
Still can't believe that the ref missed that call in the Vikings game.
It's bullshit.
Nice air ball there, Chet Holmgren.
How does an NBA player shoot an air ball?
I don't know.
But anyway, all right, you guys are awesome.
We'll see you.
