And that's what journalism now.
You know what journalism is now?
You know why newspapers are dead?
You know why the Pittsburgh Post Gazette?
Would you like to know why the Pittsburgh Post Gazette doesn't exist anymore?
Why it's folding?
Because writers suck at their jobs.
I'm not saying all of them do.
But Matt Hayes, senior national college football writer for USA Today's Sports Network,
that dude sucks at his job.
Because your entire premise for your story about Lane Kiffin
was that Lane Kiffin really was kind of made by Ole Miss
and well let's see here
all the resources were given to him
all the boosters hooked him up with the cash
he's got all these great assistants that are so smart
that now they're moving on to on-field roles
what did Kiffin really do
and then you end the story with
hey are the rebels better off without Kiffin
well your story sure as fuck was building towards that
and then it ends with not by a long shot
but it does mean everybody is replaceable
you know what they're going to think
when Pete Golding loses his first two or three games
and they go nine and three at Ole Miss for the first time,
or eight and four at Ole Miss,
they're going to think he's replaceable.
But the biggest issue I have with these people,
and I get why fans fall for it,
because fans are fucking morons.
Let's be real.
We're all morons.
We're sports fans,
but by and large,
especially New Money sports fans at places like Ole Miss
where they don't win dick, they're morons.
So I get why they'll fall for it
because they hate Lane Kiffin,
and I understand why they hate Lane Kiffin,
so they hate Kiffin,
and they want to sit there and rally behind their new coach
who's saying all the right shit.
You are easily duped.
You are the girl who's been lonely forever,
and one guy comes in and says all the right things,
and your panties drop.
Very nice.
You are easily duped.
You are easily duped.
You were easily duped by Lane Kiffin.
You'll be easily duped by Pete Golding's Yokel Act,
and you'll be easily duped.
But the media people are being willfully duped.
Like, I think sports fans are just dipshits.
They're going to follow whatever coach is there
until they don't like the coach anymore than they all hate him.
That's what sports fans are.
Sports fans are going to ride or die with a guy until they get bucked off the train to bucked off the horse.
Who the fuck gets bucked off a train?
But they get bucked off the horse and then they turn on the guy and they'll act like Pete Golding was the dumbest guy ever.
But I understand why the Ole Miss fans are reacting like Pete Golding is the most brilliant human that has ever walked the face of the earth.
Because he's saying all the right shit.
It's politics.
It's Trump, 2015, 2016, 2016, going down.
the escalator, fake news, it's fake news, try to drain the swamp, crooked Hillary, sleepy
Joe, you feed your people. Pete Golding is in a situation where you can not lose.
They could go out tonight and lose 50 to nothing. You know who the villain would be?
Lane Kiffin. That game tonight, like when Lane Kiffin watches the game tonight, I'd like to know
when he's watching this game, he knows that no matter what happens, he's going to get
shit on. Here are the
two options. Here's what you're going to get from Lane
Kiffin here. Here are the two situations, not from Lane Kiffin,
but if you are Lane Kiffin, here are the
two things that are potentially going to happen.
Ole Miss is going to win.
And if Ole Miss wins beats Miami,
National Championship game on the way, first time ever,
biggest win, every win that they have from here on that, every win they've
had is the biggest win the program's ever had.
Keep moving forward.
If they win, it further illustrates that Lane was a loser
and they didn't need him and he's a bum. And LSU
hire to fucking dud, and that
anybody could now win, and Lane Kiffin
just had all the talent, he did blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
If they lose,
the storyline is not that Pete Golding got out-coached,
assuming he did or didn't, whatever.
But like, let's say Pete Golding got out-coached.
Let's say that Chambliss played like shit.
You know, a big four, five, six-million dollar man
goes out and gets his ass whipped by Carson Beck.
Let's say they get out-coached in the game,
they get out-play in the game, and they lose.
Let's look at two different scenarios.
One, they play a really tight game, they miss by a field goal, whatever.
Or they lose by a field goal.
You know what the storyline is?
The storyline is, boy, but they went out there and they overcame.
They overcame all of the drama with Lane Kiffin and they damn near got it done.
And they had a historic season.
And then you'll hear dumb shit like this you read in this story, which is Lane didn't even, he couldn't even beat Georgia.
But Pete Golding did beat Georgia.
And Lane wouldn't have even beaten Georgia because he didn't beat Georgia early in the year.
So he clearly wouldn't have beaten him this time.
And Pete Golding did it.
And you know what?
Good for them.
And I can't wait until next year.
And hopefully Trinidad gets his sixth year.
And we're ready to go.
Or if they get their asses kicked, like let's say Miami stomps their balls right off.
So let's say Miami does that.
What you end up getting from that is Lane Kiffin abandon those poor kids.
I don't know if you knew this about these poor kids.
but they're all living in squalor and cardboard boxes,
and they're eating noodles,
not even cook noodles because they can't even afford the water
and the pot to boil the noodles.
Those poor kids at Ole Miss were abandoned
by their shithead coach who's off in a mansion
stealing other people's players in Baton Rouge,
and I can't believe it.
And they were able to overcome all that shit.
Did you know that Lane used to beat them?
Fun fact, when Lane was there,
he used to just kick the shit out of them poor boys.
It was like Bear Brian and the Junction Boys.
It was the saddest thing I'd done ever seen.
Can you believe the shit that those poor kids had to endure with Lane Kiffin?
And the reason why they got blasted 50 to 7 is because Lane Kiffin was a selfish piece of shit.
So I wonder if that'll be the case.
Like let's say LSU goes, not LSU, but Ole Miss.
Let's say Ole Miss goes out and loses and they get beaten big.
Now mind you, all these people have now written all of these stories about how Ole Miss is fine without Kiffin.
Kiffin's basically a piece of shit.
Kiffin basically just won because he had all of these players and the resources and the donors gave him a bunch of money and his managers ahead of him or his bosses ahead of him gave him all this free reign to do whatever the fuck he wants.
How quickly will the story then become Kiffin abandon those kids and it cost them all a chance at the championship?
People are waiting to write that story.
I guarantee the Matt Hayses that wrote this story and the other dipshits are the same people who are sitting there waiting for the opportunity to write the next story, which is, well, we just wrote the story about how Kiffin kind of is irrelevant to the big picture with Ole Miss.
They're sitting back waiting to write the next story, which is, well, if Lane wouldn't have left and abandoned them boys, maybe they would have won.
He was so selfish and it cost them boys a chance at the championship.
You know what that's called?
that is called a lose-lose situation.
There is no winning in this situation, at least in the eyes of the public,
for Lane Kiffin.
It is a pile-on culture, and he has no chance.
Pete Golding cannot lose.
Pete Golding can make seven bad decisions in this game today.
He can go for it on fourth down four times and fail each time in his own territory
and they lose the game and no one will shit on him.
He is Teflon right now.
He cannot lose.
Lane Kiffin can not win.
That's where we are in this game.
And people are waiting to write that story too.
And I'm not doing this because I'm an LSU fan.
I'm not defending Lane Kiffin because I'm an LSU fan.
I'm not some sort of sycophant.
I'm not one of these guys that's, I mean, you know this.
If you've listened to me ever, I'm not some guy that's some blind, loyal homer to teams I root for.
That's not me.
That's not my M.O.
but when I see people being full of shit
and what we're dealing with now is pile on.
I dealt with this in my own life.
You know, and I've told you guys these stories.
But like the times I got fired,
did you ever notice that when I got fired in Philly,
there was nobody.
Not one person had the guts to say something like,
I mean, at the end of the day,
the guy posted a picture of Al Jolson.
Like, why am I offended by this?
Like, the guy got fired because he posted a picture of Al Jolson
that's public domain.
he wasn't wearing black face and he was doing it to make fun of people who were doing a fucking menstrual show on the radio and he's mocking these people nobody had the guts to just step up and go like look i hate this guy it's like a total turd and i don't like his show and i think he's an asshole
but at the end of it all he did was posted a picture of Al Jolson
and that's what ultimately was the straw that broke the camels back
nobody thought about how ridiculous that was or how
like if you want to go free speech these same people that love to fight for freedom of speech
and how the president's muzzling people and all this shit
those are the same people who probably saw me post a picture of Al Jolson
and just made the decision that it was racist and terrible because the rest of the internet did
and the rest of the internet made that decision so you don't want to be the guy
that's the outlier. You don't want to be the guy that steps up and goes, I mean, why is this so
bad? Because you don't want to get piled on by everybody else. People are afraid of the
pile-on culture. And what's happened here is people have now made the decision that Lane Kiffons
a piece of shit. And the world has made the decision that Pete Golding and Ole Miss are the
darlings and they can do no wrong. So no one wants to be the person that writes the other side
of it. Therefore, the only people who are willing to write the other side of it are people who
are probably going to be associated with LSU
in the sense that they are Baton Rouge media
and they'll kind of look at it from at least a balanced
perspective and not just a Lane Kiffin' bad
Ole Miss incredible Jesus people
So when you do write that
Since everybody's decided to pile on
If you're the person that doesn't pile on
And tries to look at it from any other standpoint
You are considered the piece of shit
You are considered the person who's just trying to get clicks
Oh, this person's trying to be the contrarian
that's what you end up being and it's bullshit and I've lived that life like look I'm not trying
to compare myself to Lane Kiffin or anything like that I'm not Lane Kiffin but I know what it's like
when people have just made the decision that you're a piece of shit and everything you do is going
to make you a piece of shit and no one's going to defend you you're not going to see too many
people defending Lane Kiffin everybody because it's easy people take the easy road this is what
people do. People make the decision to take the easier road because it's the easy road.
It's easy to just hop on Twitter and be like, yep, Pete Golding, this guy gets it. He's saying all
the right things. It takes the brave person, or at least the common sense thinking person,
to go, you fucking sheep. Of course he's saying all the right shit. Because no matter what he says,
you're going to say it's the right shit, because you're sheep. You want, like, you've made the
decision that you love this guy and you hate Lane Kiffin and you hate LSU and L.
you scummy and Lane is a piece of shit
and Pete Golding's great and Ole Miss is a darling little
program. Then no matter what he
says you're going to say it's
the right thing.
That's how these
people work. And
people are afraid to go against the grain in these
things, especially in like pylon.
This is pylon time.
Every story that comes out is another opportunity
to pile on Lane Kiffin.
