So I was scrolling through Reels on Instagram and I see some gal that's apparently someone who talks about the WNBA
Honor on her channel or something and she starts rambling on about different like petitions that are online that she thinks are ridiculous
And one of them was to have Dave Portnoy removed from WNBA games
Now she also claims that there's a petition to have like
Caitlin Clark arrested for stat padding. Dude, I'm thoroughly enjoying
watching the WNBA eat itself. Like they can't get out of their own way
and it's fun. Like I'm sure a lot of people enjoyed watching me, you
know, unable to get out of my own way a lot of the time. Like I
fucked myself many times and screwed myself. So I'm sure many people have enjoyed that
Not as many as are enjoying this but I'm sure some people that have known me and know my story enjoyed my demise
You know enjoy watching me, you know, you know
Like knowing that I'm doing something stupid and then I do something stupid and it cost me right? So
You know, it's I'm enjoying watching the WNBA
I enjoy these groups of allegedly marginalized people like women's basketball players and
shit.
I enjoy these groups of people who have their big opportunity and can't get out of their
own way because deep down they just are who they are.
Like at the end of the day, you have all these opportunities and you just can't get out of
your own way because you are who you are. That happens to me. Like every time I get a job I'm
like Josh you got to do certain things differently and then you you do the same
kind of things to fuck up. You just are who you are sometimes and this is kind
of what we're dealing with with the WNBA. The WNBA is more relevant now than it's
ever been and they can't get out of their own way. I'm going to talk about this petition
I don't know how real this is or not, but I'm tickled by it. We will do that after these words
So the headline reads
WNBA fan starts petition to ban Dave Portnoy from games amid Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark controversy
WNBA fan wants Dave Portnoy banned from games amid his comments on the latest Angel Reese Caitlin Clark controversy. A WNBA fan once Dave Portnoy banned from games amid his comments
on the latest Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark controversy. Last weekend, the pair clashed as Clark was
issued a flagrant foul for slapping across Reese's arm and ultimately sending her to
the floor. Which again, when you read it that way, it sounds a lot worse than it was. Reese
was incensed by the play and tried to confront Clark before Indiana center Aliyah Boston stepped in between the players. Portnoy, a massive Clark fan,
later said that Reese had made a mockery of her existence and called allegations
that Reese was racially abused by Indiana fans complete bullshit, which
again we're still waiting on. And this week a petition was started on change.org
to ban Barstool founder Portnoy from WNBA games
with the page saying that he quote,
disrespected the talented women of this league.
The WNBA has always been about creating a safe space for people of all genders, races and backgrounds
to enjoy incredible basketball, the petition reads, lol.
With the recent media attention women's basketball has gotten,
it's brought some negative racial attention from people who claim to be quote
fans
Of course they're talking about Dave Portnoy who by the way
I do believe is 100% full of shit about like his Indiana fever fandom and shit like he's playing into the situation good for him
He's brilliant to doing this shit
But if you want me to believe that Dave Portnoy enjoys fucking women's basketball no
Barstool founder Dave Portnoy has inserted himself into the space where he has disrespected the talented
women of this league. For years he has been harassing Angel Reese, a black woman, using his
online platform. The petition goes on to mention his use of the N-word in previous clips and also
reference the fact that he made $350,000 bet that Clark would not to
triple double against the sky.
This petition is to put pressure on the WNBA, the Indiana Fever, and the NBA to take swift
action in banning Dave Portnoy from all NBA and WNBA events in the future.
The last section of the petition reads, This will show a strong commitment to player safety
and show that
there are consequences for racist behavior no matter who you are. Please sign and share and
let's keep the WNBA a safe space for all. 1100 people have signed this! There are 1100 people
who are like, listen, the WNBA players are not safe because Dave Portnoy is here. Like I've enjoyed, like look, I know I'm talking way too much about the WNBA.
I know that.
I'm aware of that, right?
I'm not breaking down the games.
I'm just looking at the drama.
I get it.
It is what it is.
I am enjoying watching the WNBA eat itself.
Like this is a league that's been propped up by the NBA forever.
This is a league that's had no attention forever.
Now they finally get
some attention. They don't know what to do with it. It's kind of
like how when you get a lot of money, it kind of doesn't, it
doesn't reveal who you are. It just reveals who you've always
been or something like that. There's some saying about that,
right? Like you win the lottery and then all of a sudden you buy
a demolition derby racetrack and you buy all this shit and then
you end up broke and whatever. Like that's the WNBA. The WNBA has always largely been garbage
and now that it's out there in the world for the people to see
and everything, it's revealing itself to be garbage. It is eating itself
and it's fucking hysterical. You have this opportunity with these eyeballs
on you to do something significant and the only thing that you can focus
on is this drama shit and you're killing yourself and it's funny to me. Let's see, speaking
on Monday, Clark herself made her feelings clear on the
alleged abuse telling reporters there's no place for that in
our game and there's no place for that in society. Still
waiting to know what it was, but we'll see. But like, like
imagine like, so do you not feel safe playing basketball because
Dave Portnoy is there? And if you feel, by the imagine, like, so do you not feel safe playing basketball because Dave Portnoy is there?
And if you feel, by the way, if you're that unsafe playing
basketball in Indianapolis, then shouldn't these NBA finals games
be moved out of Indianapolis?
Because if the people in Indianapolis are so terrible and
so racist and so bigoted and the women are scared there, like,
why are the men not scared?
Do you think that these same racists don't go to men's basketball games? Like shouldn't we like I think we should have a petition
to move the NBA finals out of Indianapolis and I think that the Pacers should have to forfeit
because Indianapolis is a terrible horrible racist hellhole and these people deserve better.
Like this is hysterical. Like these are new money people. Like they got money and they have no clue what to do with it.
Like they just have no idea how to handle any of this attention. The league has proven they have no idea how to handle any of this attention.
And the fact that Dave Portnoy is some sort of dangerous threat to these people. Like honestly, like it's kind of like this. They like it's been like there's the idea that if someone spent a lot of time in prison,
then they get out of prison and have no idea what to do once they're out of prison like Brooks,
you know, like Brooks got out of prison and then like he tried to get a job at like a grocery store and some shit
and Brooks couldn't do it and Brooks hanged himself and Brooks was here, right?
Like people that have been in prison for a long time, many of them struggle to get back into society, right?
That's a real thing.
I think what's happened here is the WNBA
has spent so much time being obsolete
that the WNBA would be more comfortable being obsolete,
demanding more attention.
Like some people, some entities are not equipped to be a front runner. They are
equipped to be a climber. They are equipped to be a chaser. The
WNBA is not equipped to be a front runner. The WNBA is not
equipped to be a place where people it is a showcase thing.
The WNBA is not equipped to be a place where like people turn
their eyeballs to because they legitimately give a shit about it. The WNBA is equipped to be a place where like people turn their eyeballs to because they legitimately give a shit about
it. The WNBA is equipped to be a place where they play games
in front of 35 people. No one gives a shit and no one talks
about it and then they can sit there and say why aren't more
people paying attention to us? We're playing good ball like
that's what they would rather do. Some people are just
programmed to be that way. Some people cannot be up top.
They have to be at the bottom.
Some people, like me, I am a better climber than I,
like I am great at being someone
who's got someone to chase.
That is like my thing.
Like if I'm climbing, if I'm in ninth place,
I want to get to first.
Once I get to first, I don't know what the fuck to do.
I get kind of bored with being in first place.
I need to have someone to go after.
I need to climb.
Perhaps the WNBA is sort of like Brooks
and the WNBA is just kind of like, you know what, we're better off being like, you know,
we can't get out of jail and survive in society. We would rather be in this weird purgatory, we're
in this hell that we're in where no one knows what we're doing And we're just better that way. We operate better in that universe. And perhaps that's what the WNBA is.
There's also another story. Let me read this story.
Troubling history of the man who bought beers for 20-year-old Pirates fan
before near-death plunge. Now, let's start here.
First of all, there ain't a difference between being 20 and 21.
The dude wasn't...before I've read any of this story, not like he bought a 13-year-old
a beer. He bought a 20-year-old dude a beer. 21 is the legal drinking age. I get that it's
wrong to do, but let's not act like a 20-year-old in terms of how they handle alcohol. Isn't
he different than a fucking 21-year-old? Please spare me. But this is a follow-up to that pirate story where the guy a couple weeks
ago jumped or fell or whatever the hell he did at the Pirates game. Still alive.
So a man has been charged with buying alcohol for the underage fan who fell from the outfield
stands at Pittsburgh's PNC Park on April 30th, and he already had a pretty lengthy rap sheet.
Ethan Kirkwood, 21, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly buying alcohol for his 20-year-old
friend Kavon Markwood, a college football player who was left critically injured after
falling 21 feet from the bleachers.
Markwood continues to recover from a broken neck, back, and collarbone as well as a traumatic
brain injury while Kirkwood faces misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June
23rd. Kirkwood is admitted to buy an alcohol for Markwood at the game, according to criminal
complaint obtained by WTAE in Pittsburgh. Surveillance video from PNC Park shows Kirkwood
buying two 24-ounce beers before another video minutes later shows Kirkwood buying two 24 ounce beers before another video minutes later
shows Kirkwood and Markwood together, each with one beer. His previous arrests were reported
Wednesday by the US Sun blah blah blah. In 2022, Kirkwood was a minor. He pleaded guilty to public
drunkenness and purchasing alcohol for another minor being arrested and admitting to the same
charges in 2023. Like, okay, cool. Dude bought beer underage and bought beer
for his buddy who was months younger than him, whatever. This year Kirkwood has faced several
traffic violations. Oh no! Such as reckless driving charge in Allegheny County has since pleaded
guilty to careless driving and paid a $327 fine. He was also picked up for operating a vehicle
without a valid inspection. Like, is that really a fucking crime? Like, what are we doing? Like, careless driving and paid a $327 fine. He was also picked up for operating a vehicle
without a valid inspection. Like, is that really a fucking crime? Like, what are we
doing? Like, we're reaching here now. Meanwhile, Allegheny General Hospital Chief Medical Officer
Dan or Dan, Dr. Alan Philip has issued positive reports on Mark Woods' recovery. So again,
we're trying to paint it like this guy is this horrible human for buying his buddy a
beer. One of them is 21, one of them is 20, buys his buddy a beer.
I don't think when he bought his buddy a beer he was like,
next thing I want you to do is just jump off of the fucking fence at PNC Park.
Like, like cool.
Like, I'd like...
Is there a difference in being 21 and 20 when it comes to alcohol consumption?
Or not even alcohol consumption, anything. Like, are you that much wiser when you're 21 over 20? Did you learn
anything about life when you're 21 versus 20? No. Like let's stop trying to point fingers
at people and I guess they're doing this because they're going to try to get money out of this
in some way because this dipshit jumped off of this fence and now has a broken neck and
back and everything else. We've turned him into some sort of victim. Like that's the
problem. This guy is now famous and he's somehow a victim and people have sent
him money for like last I saw the GoFundMe had raised a lot of money for him as well
because he's a dipshit that either jumped or fell off of a fence at a ball game. The people that we
reward for shit is wild. Like the fact that we're rewarding this guy and going, boy what a sad story and
then his evil friend bought him a beer, he's 20 freaking years old. The beer ain't going to
impact him that much. But of course the story is now, hey the buddy's a bad guy, the buddy's a
terrible guy. And people are sending, if you send money to some dummy who jumped off or fell off a fence in a baseball game because he was hammered, you're an issue. You're a dumb
person and I fully expect you to be scammed because like the lead singer of
Oingo Boingo is gonna tell you he's in love with you on Facebook and you're
gonna send him Visa gift cards. You're just a dumb person at that point. Anywho,
more to come.
