So in the last year or two, has been two years already. How many years has it been since Dolly Parton started pumping out
country covers were like rock versions of songs are like doing
different rock songs, right. So basically Dolly Parton put out
what she considered a rock album, which in no way sounded
like rock music. It was just Dolly Parton singing country
music. But they were previously rock songs, I guess. And
everybody was all going crazy over it. And Dolly Parton did
this because she felt bad about being inducted into the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame, which isn't really even a Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame, because there are rappers and other people in
it. So it's just a Hall of Fame. But she felt bad about it. So she put
out this rock album of her covering like I think there was
a Journey song in there. There's some others like look, this is
not a popular take. But I really dislike Dolly Parton and not so
much Dolly Parton, but I really dislike the people that are
obsessed with Dolly Parton. Like I really dislike the people that are obsessed with Dolly Parton. Like, look, she seems like a
lovely person. And by the way, Dolly Parton pumped out some
all time, legit bangers back in the day. Jolene, here you come
again. Being one of them. I mean, go down the list of working
nine to five two doors down there laughing and drinking and
having a party. That's a good jam. And of course, I will
always love you which Whitney Houston sent into the stratosphere
but that was originally a Dolly Parton song. Cool, right? Oh,
me and little Andy and hard candy Christmas. Dolly did some
good shit. But people talk about Dolly like Dolly is the greatest human on the planet and Dolly for president and when I was in Nashville, it just drove me to the point of being annoyed and I'm like, I'm tired of fucking hearing about Dolly Parton. I don't get it.
Well, for some reason, Dolly Parton, who pumped out her own rock album not too long ago, is doing a version of Home Sweet Home, the Motley
Crew song. Okay. But she's not just doing a version of it. It's
not her singing or not just her singing it. Dolly Parton is
performing a duet of Home Sweet Home with Vince Neil, the lead
singer of Motley Crew. Who, oh, by the way,
is arguably the worst singer on the planet, was never a good
singer, was passable in the 80s for what they were doing. But
the more you see him live now, the more you hear him live now,
he's awful, just abysmal. And I am one of
the people that every time Motley Crue is in town, I go
see them because I set my money on fire to see Vince Neil,
mostly because I want to make fun of Vince Neil. I have a t
shirt. It's that's that says Key Stamaha on it. If you haven't done it, go
watch videos of Vince Neil on YouTube. He's amazing. But this
song has just dropped. It is Vince Neil and Dolly Parton
doing home sweet home some new version of home sweet home. So
I don't know if this is a country very might just be a
country version of home sweet home. I don't know. I haven't heard it. It dropped 15
minutes ago on YouTube. I'm going to play it through my
phone for you. It's not going to sound amazing. But let's be
real. It's not going to sound amazing anyway, because it
sounds like a horrid idea. Let's play some commercials and we'll
do that.

Hey, so what did you want to talk about?
Well, I want to tell you about Wigovie.
Wigovie?
Yeah, Wigovie.
What about it?
On second thought, I might not be the right person to tell you.
Oh, you're not?
No. Just ask your doctor.

All right, so let's see here. It is home sweet home motley crew
home sweet home featuring Dolly Parton. So maybe this is a this
might be and this on their page. So this is actually a motley
crew song. I mean, you know this home sweet home is a motley crew
song, but it's being billed as motley crew featuring Dolly
Parton. So like a duet. So I've been kind of dying for this. When Jilly told me about this a day or two ago
that this was happening, I felt that I needed to hear this.
Nobody wanted it. Nobody asked for it. But maybe it's the gift
we didn't know we needed. Let's see here. Let me make sure the
volumes up. I'll do the best I can for you. Let's see. Here we
go.
Here we go.
Oh, it's a homelessness message on the screen. Wait a minute. I'll continue. So all this is is a reworking of
this. That's the original vocal on that. That's clearly not
current day. This is a joke. I thought we were going to get
real full on Vince Neil with Dolly Parton like current day.
So this is basically like when I don't know like when Natalie Cole sang
unforgettable with her dead dad and like they just took the
original version of it. I was hoping to get like a full on
like duet anyway. Just take this song and you'll never be left alone
Take me to your heart, feel me in your bones
Just one more night and I'm coming on this blue winding route
It doesn't sound bad, but it's because they just took the the Motley Crue song from 30 years ago, 35 years ago, and had
almost 40 years ago now and just had Dolly do some harmonies on
it. They took the original vote. See, now I feel cheated and I
feel like I've cheated you because I was of the belief that present day obese, sweaty, unintelligible
Vince Neil was going to be doing a duet with Dolly Parton.
That's what I was thinking and that's what I was hoping.
That's what we wanted.
That was our expectation.
But now I'm going to finish it because it's good.
It's like I mean, it sounds fine.
It's not like the greatest thing I've ever heard, but it just sounds
like Dolly Parton doing harmony on the original version of Home
Sweet Home. Now the silver screen, my heart's locked open
Oh, brother, oh, oh, to me
But sometimes nothing keeps me together at the sea
I'm on my way, I'm on my way
Oh, sweet home
Tonight, I'm on my way
Just sit with me, sweet home
Home sweet home
It's good. But it's not what I wanted.
I didn't want it to be good.
I wanted it to be horrible because I wanted it to be current day Vince
Neil and Dolly.
I didn't ask for a lot there.
I mean, it's good.
Dolly sounds great.
How the hell does that song still have two minutes left?
Home Sweet Home is a great
fucking song though. I love Motley Crue. I do. I think the
best night that the best hair metal album of all time is Dr.
Feel Good. It's spectacular. I have like five or six hits on it.
Same old situation. Don't go away mad. Kickstart my heart.
Dr. Feelgood. There's one more in there that I'm missing too,
but that's a great, great, great album. Was Rattlesnake a
shake on that too? It's just a great album. And I've seen
Motley Crue, I guess. How many times have I seen two or three,
I guess I've seen them? Where did I see them? I saw them
in Philadelphia on what was their farewell tour. Talk about
a Motley Crue. It was like me, sludge, and tank and I think
Taz. We went to that show was Alice Cooper and and Motley Crue.
And it was fun. Where did I see them? Oh, you
know, it was they had the did they do a stadium to do we go to
a stadium tour that featured them in Nashville, maybe? I know
I've seen them again. But anyway, look, Vince is terrible,
but I love him.
I thought that was solid.
At least the two minutes I heard of it, I can tell where that's going.
It's solid.
I don't know why it was needed.
I guess it wasn't.
But, you know, Dolly, I guess in her old age here is just continuing to pump shit out to
stay working.
Who am I to judge?
It sounds phenomenal, but it's not what I wanted.
But anywho, all right, more to come.
