Starting point is 00:02:39 9 or 10 teams that have no wins currently? This is a ranking of 0 and 2 teams by playoff viability. All right, you have my attention. I will bite USA today. I will do that. Of course, right under this is a story
Starting point is 00:02:55 that says, will Nico Ayamalia-Lava transfer? Update on the quarterback status with UCLA. Guys, he fucking sucks. For the love of Christ, he's not good. He wasn't good at Tennessee. He's been dog-awful at UCLA. Go ahead and transfer, partner. Go somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:03:12 I guess he's got that window because they fired the coach. But anyway, let's look at O&2 teams being ranked by playoff viability. And we will do that after these commercial messages. You can get protein at home Or a protein latte at Tim's No powders, no blenders, no shakers. Starting point is 00:03:36 Protein without all the work, at participating restaurants in Canada. When I found out my friend got a great deal on a wool coat from Winners, I started wondering. Is every fabulous item I see from Winners? Like that woman over there with the designer jeans. Are those from Winners?
Starting point is 00:03:53 Ooh, are those beautiful gold earrings? Did she pay full price? Or that leather tote? Or that cashmere sweater? Or those knee-high boots? That dress, that jacket, those shoes. Is anyone paying full price for anything? Stop wondering.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Start winning. Winners find fabulous for less. All right. Here we go. I'm going to look. I got a seat. Okay, let me do my own and see where it lines up with Homeboy here. Let's look at the NFL standings and let's look at teams that are 0.2.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Well, the team that has the least likelihood of making. making the playoffs at 0 and 2 is the Saints. Like the Chiefs are obviously going to be the top 1A. Chiefs are going to make the playoffs. But as far as the AFC goes, and I think the Texans still have a legit shot at it too. But if they fall to 0 and 3, the likelihood becomes almost nil. It was crazy to read that the Texans are the only team this century to start 0 and 3 and make the playoffs. Of course, the Oilers, was it 93?
Starting point is 00:04:50 or was it 92 or 93 that the Oilers were 1 and 4 to start the season and made the playoffs. And not only did that, they won like 11 games or something. Well, let's see here. Let's look at the AFC side of things first. The Browns are not going to make the playoffs. I mean, the obvious answer is the chiefs have the greatest likelihood. They have Pat Mahomes. You assume they'll figure your shit out.
Starting point is 00:05:14 The chiefs, I would assume, are going to have the best likelihood of an 0-and-2 team to make it. Okay, fine, cool. The least likely at this point, at least on the AFC side of things, I'd say would be the Titans, because the Colts are two and oh, that's the other thing you have to look at is inside the division, which divisions have teams that can be leapfrogged because the division has a one-in-one team instead of a two-and-o team. But there is a two-and-o team, say, in the AFC North, right? The Bengals are two-and-o, but that ain't going to last forever because Joe's out for three months. But you've also got the Ravens and the Steelers who each have a win and are better football teams than the Browns. The Browns are fucking trash. So the Browns are an 0-and-2 team.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Their scoring differential is minus 25 currently through the first two weeks of the year. So let me see here. Let me find, I need to find an actual, here we go, NFL standings. Here we go. So let's write these down. Let's do a little exercise here, kids. Talk amongst yourselves while I grab a piece of paper. I decided to do this just, you know, on a whim here.
Starting point is 00:06:13 So let's see, ranking the 0-2 teams, because I, how? How good you are is it necessarily the most important factor in whether or not you have the best chance of making the playoffs at 0 and 2. A lot of other factors come into it like your division, playoff scenarios with wild cards, etc. So you've got the Giants who are 0 and 2. Like none of these teams feel like they have a chance. There are two teams that are 0 and 2 that I'd go, oh, those are pretty good football teams. The rest of these guys, I'm like, no, they're not going to fucking make it. Like, obviously, let's start at the top.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I'm going to put Kansas City at number one. And I'm only doing that because they're the chiefs. But I'd say that maybe the Texans have a better shot of actually making the postseason. Now, they're not going to win the division. One of the bigger questions here is whether or not the Colts are actually viable or if this is just some sort of fluke. I mean, they're currently plus 26 in point differential. They're slinging it. Daniel Jones is seemingly.
Starting point is 00:07:17 figured it out. But is this going to be like a couple of games? Then he kind of comes back down to Earth. Or is Daniel Jones just a god of football and we didn't know it because he was buried in New York? You know? But then you look at the AFC West. Again, so that's the AFC South. The Texans still have their entire AFC South schedule in front of them, correct? They haven't played a division game. So they still have all those games out in front of them. That means that they're still in position to play Tennessee twice, which should be two wins. They can beat Jacksonville, and I don't see why they couldn't beat the Colts. I'm not buying that the Colts are a juggernaut after two weeks, right? So you go five and one in your
Starting point is 00:07:56 division. There's five wins. You've got to find another four or five probably to make the postseason. Can they do that? Sure. But then you look at the AFC West, and the Chiefs have already played a division game. They lost that game to the Chargers. The AFC West is arguably the most difficult division in football. And you might say, no, it's the AFC North. Oh, the AFC North is pretty good, but guess what? Joe Burroughs out. That changes the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:08:21 The Browns suck. Joe Burrow is out. So now it's Pittsburgh and the Ravens, and let's be real. Pittsburgh gave up 32 points to a dreadful Jets team and then got the shit kicked out of them pretty good this weekend by Seattle. I don't think Pittsburgh's very good and their defense is terrible, right? So take that for what it is. The best division in football for my money is the AFC West.
Starting point is 00:08:43 The Chiefs still have five games left inside that division. They could line up against Denver and lose games to Denver. They can line up against the Chargers and lose games to the Chargers. They've already lost a game to the Chargers. So just basing this on the division they are in, I'd say the Texans have a better shot because the Texans have a better shot of rattling off. Could they go 6 and 0 in the division? It's very possible. Could they go 5 and 1 in the division?
Starting point is 00:09:10 I'd argue it's likely. To me, like four and two is the absolute worst the Texans could be in that division. You sweep the Titans who are terrible and you go one and one against the Colts and the Jaguars. At worst, you're finding four wins there. So, really, you know what? I'm saying that the Texans are number one. So I'm going, Texans number one, then I'll go Kansas City number two. The jets are not.
Starting point is 00:09:38 The jets are terrible. So the jets are going to be near the bottom. I need to find number three in the O and two category here. So after that, none of them have a chance. That's the part that makes us a fruitless endeavor. It's none of those teams who are O&2 other than the Texans, other than the Chiefs, have a chance to make it. But I'll bite because why not? And ain't the Bears?
Starting point is 00:09:59 That division's fucking, I mean, look, I think the Vikings are a fraud too. But, like, Green Bay, I think could be really fucking good. Their defense is stout. So, God, like, finding who should. should be third in this list is very, you know what? I'm going to go kind of off the radar here. I'm going to say Miami. Because part of this is you have to look at who's got talent, who's got history and
Starting point is 00:10:23 doing it. Look, the dolphins aren't very good. They're minus 31 in point differential, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that they were just blown out and they just got smoked in week one. But they still have Tyree Kill, assuming health, they have Jalen Waddle, they have Devon A. Chan, and they have Tua, who does not suck. He is not great, but if you had Tua or you had Justin Fields with the Jets, who are you taking? Well, Russ Wilson, who are you taking?
Starting point is 00:10:47 I'd probably take Tua over those guys. So I'm going to go Miami. They're in the AFC East. Obviously, the Bills are goat status there. But you look at the Dolphins who still have five division games. They can beat the Jets twice. They can beat the Jets. They can beat the Patriots.
Starting point is 00:11:04 They're going to win a couple games there. I don't know what the rest of their schedule looks like. But is there a scenario where the dolphins get to nine or ten wins? Probably? I wouldn't say probably, but there is a scenario there. Is there also a probability that they lose by 30 tonight and fire the coach Friday? That's also very possible. What if they fire the coach and it galvanizes the team and they rattle off seven in a row? I think they have enough weapons where if the schedule plays out in their favor, they can get there. So I'm going to go Dolphins number three. So Texans, Chiefs, Dolphins. After this, it gets
Starting point is 00:11:39 increasingly more difficult. Like, what are we doing here? I hate myself for deciding to do this, but I'm into the episode, and I'm going to do it. I'm committed to this. Look, the Saints are going to be at the very bottom. So let me do that. The Saints are going to be over here. I'm going to write the Saints down.
Starting point is 00:11:59 So the Saints are dead last in this. And right above the Saints are going to be the Panthers. That kind of makes this easier. So now I know who's at the top and who's at the bottom. The Saints, I don't even think give a shit about making the playoffs. Credit to the Saints, they've lost their first two games by a combined 12 points. And they had one possession games in the fourth quarter. They've probably played better than people thought they would.
Starting point is 00:12:21 But that also doesn't mean the Saints are any good. The Saints are probably still only. The hard part is, I don't know that the Saints are going to win a game. It sounds ridiculous to say that, but they're not going to be favored in any games. They may be favored against the Panthers. But outside of that, and I don't know, they're scheduled. the top of my head, but they're not going to be favored against Atlanta. They're not going to be favored against Tampa.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And I know those teams are on their schedule. So it's going to be a toss-up between the Saints and the Panthers. And I'm just going to take the Saints as the least likely team to make the playoffs at O&2. Although the Panthers were getting their dicks knocked off too, man. I know they put up a bunch of garbage stats late to make that game look more interesting. But maybe I'll flip-flop. You know what? I've convinced myself.
Starting point is 00:13:03 We're flip-flopping. Panthers dead last, then the Saints. because the Saints have played close the first two weeks. All right, fine. So Saints and Panthers flip-flop. Other O and two, so that we've done that division, I would probably then put, I'm going to put the Bears in the next spot above the Panthers. The Bears are in a nasty conference.
Starting point is 00:13:27 The Lions seem to have found their mojo offensively. The Packers may be the best team in the NFC. They certainly are through the first two weeks, and at least the most impressive team through the first two weeks. And the Vikings are weird, but they might luck out having McCarthy get hurt. This could be a miracle for them. Is Wynce playing this weekend? Maybe Wins will have a miracle run.
Starting point is 00:13:46 But the Bears, they're not going to make the playoffs. But I'll put them above the Saints and the Panthers because maybe Caleb figures it out and maybe Ben Johnson figures it out what to do with Caleb. Then above that, O&2, I will take the – actually, you know what? I'm wrong. Hold on. I'm stupid. Hold on. Dead last is the Titans.
Starting point is 00:14:08 I'm sure you guys are listening to this. Like Josh, the fucking Titans. Yes, the Titans are actually the Dead Last. Okay. So Titans, then Saints, then Panthers, then Bears working in reverse order. Okay. Then we will go with... Wait a second.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I forgot about Cleveland. Take that back. No bears. We're going Cleveland because what if something happens and they play Shudor and he finds magic? Okay, there we go. So Cleveland would be a... above the Panthers, Saints, and Titans, bears slightly above Cleveland. Then we go with the giant, no, no, giants.
Starting point is 00:14:56 We go with the giants. We're going to go giants. Working backwards is a lot easier, although I clearly fucked this thing up. Giants, then we go with the Jets. And I think that's all of these. I think that's all of the O and two teams. The Jets. So I would go, Texans, Kansas City, Miami.
Starting point is 00:15:19 No, wait, I wouldn't do that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Take that back. Take that back. I'm going to go with the Jets behind the Bay. And then the Giants. So, and I don't know why I think the Giants. they may go with Jackson Dart and he might find that magic and sling that hog like the beautiful man that he is.
Starting point is 00:15:39 So I'm going to go Texans, Kansas City, Miami, Giants, Jets, Bears, Cleveland, Charlotte, or Carolina, the Saints and the Titans. That would be my ranking of the teams that are 0 and 2, most likely to least likely. Now we go back to this Jamoka USA today and see if we're on the same wavelength. I kind of hope we're not because Nate Davis, seems like a pud. Let's see. Let's see. Where are the rankings here? Let's see. Where the hell is this list? All right. He's got Cleveland at dead last. I've got Cleveland at like fourth to last. So he's got them in number 10. Then the Giants. Then the Saints. Then the Titans. Then the Jets. Then the Dolphins. Then the Bears. He's got Carolina as the third. That's stupid, brother.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Like, they showed some fight in the second half of Sunday's near-miss loss at Arizona, the display. Like, they were down by 20-something fucking points and they put up garbage yard, you fuck. What are you doing? Then the Texans, then the Chiefs. Our lists aren't even remotely close. Whatever, Nate. Nate's clearly a dip shit. And that's okay, but he's clearly a dip shit.
Starting point is 00:16:53 More to come.
