The Josh Innes Show - Why Lizzo Lost Weight...

Episode Date: November 25, 2025

USA Today has a piece about the "real story" of why Lizzo lost weight. Ummm, I don't know...she didn't want to be fat anymore? Also, I'd like to point out that fat celebs who peddle the idea of bod...y positivity, only to buy their way to weight loss, are worse than the skinny Victoria Secret models. Starting point is 00:00:35 Headline, Lizzo explains real reason why she lost weight. Well, I just, I can't wait to read that. I haven't read any details of this story, but now you've got me fascinated. I am fascinated about the reason why someone who's morbidly obese and disgusting decided, you know what I'm going to do today? I'm going to lose weight. But you know what? Here's the real reason.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Here's the real reason I'm going to lose weight. Boy, I'm truly, I'm fascinated by this. The same reason anybody loses weight. They feel horrible. They can't see their feet. They can't see their dick. They can't see anything. So they want to lose weight.
Starting point is 00:01:11 This is not difficult. But I'm genuinely curious what kind of depth we can go into about why some fat person, great big fat person, decided to lose weight. I am genuinely curious. So I'm going to click on this story and we will read after these words. All right. Let's see. Lizzo gets candid on weight loss journey and emotional essay. Like, okay, first of all, let's start here. These people are all frauds. They're all body positivity frauds. I'm confident myself. I'm big and beautiful. Blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Until the first chance they can lose some weight and then all of a sudden they're like 80 pounds and looks scary and gaunt and bony and terrible. The ultimate fraud. Like Lizzo's a fraud and all of this stuff because she built her whole thing about being big black and sassy. and I put my hands Check my nails Tell me how you feel Feeling good as hell Apparently she wasn't feeling good as hell Because she felt the need to go lose a fuck ton of weight
Starting point is 00:02:05 But anyway we'll get into Lizzo in a second The ultimate is this Megan Traynor Because as Megan Traynor made her entire bones Her whole life was around this one song And this song was called All About That Bass And it was all about how the skinny bitches suck And it's okay Because every inch of you is perfect
Starting point is 00:02:21 From the bottom to the top And my mama she told me don't worry about your size because boys like a little more booty to hold at night, all that shit. And now Megan Traynor looks like Ariana Grande. Ariana Grande looks like a fucking, she looks like a, what of those little bugs called? The little really skinny stick bugs. What's the actual name for a stick bug? One of those.
Starting point is 00:02:44 She looks like a stick bug. Stick bug. Which is that? It's a, what do they call a stick bug? Whatever. Is it just called a stick bug? Whatever. she looks like a mantis she looks like a fucking mantis and we're out here like oh my god this is body
Starting point is 00:03:00 positivity and blah blah blah they all look frightening as hell but you look at megan trainer she all she did she became famous singing a song about being fat and being okay with it being thick and being okay with it and really she wasn't even all that fat so she exploited the whole situation to get rich now she looks like a skeleton she's frightening but anyway let's hear about how lizzo gets candid on her weight loss journey. The world has sounded off on Lizzo's weight, but now she's taking back the mic. I mean, she's the one that started off talking about her weight because that was her whole damn image.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Let's see. I started losing weight in the fall of 2023, Lizzo wrote. I was severely depressed. I'd been the subject of a vicious scandal, and it felt like the whole world turned its back on me. So in August of 20203, Lizzo was sued by a group of former dancers on allegations of sexual harassment and weight shaming, blah, blah, blah. The old me would tend to binge when,
Starting point is 00:03:54 sad and depressed. Lizzo continued, I would order hundreds of dollars of food delivery and eat everything until my stomach felt like it would explode. But this time, I just didn't feel like doing that. Not because I thought it would result in my weight loss, but honestly, I didn't care about my body. So, like, congrats. You got your OZMPIC. You've lost weight. Like, I'm not judging you for losing weight using OZMPIC. I'm taking Manjaro. What the fuck do I care? But let's not act like, you know, this is like some great accomplishment. Like you didn't go out there and decide, hey, I'm going to take 10,000 steps a day to lose weight. You took a shot like the rest of us.
Starting point is 00:04:27 She added, I didn't want to feel safe. A huge part of me blamed myself for what had happened to me, so in my self-loathing and self-neglect, I began to rot. As someone who was talking about self-love their entire career, it was hard to watch what happened to myself, and so I decided to turn my extreme in action into action. Let's see, blah, blah, blah, in 2024 after the animated comedy series South Park
Starting point is 00:04:49 featured the singer in a spoof on the medication Ozempic, Lizzo declared in a TikTok post that she really showed the world how to love yourself. In January, the singer gave an update on her weight loss journey revealing she met her goal of lowering her body mass index by 10.5 losing 16% of her body fat. Like, cool. Like, like, this is like this deep story here about this person choosing to lose weight. But the reality is this. You get all these people and they win they're fat and they have no options on how to lose weight other than exercise, which nobody wants to do. They all step up and they're like, you know what, I'm confident myself. I'm big and beautiful and I'm confident
Starting point is 00:05:27 and body positivity and it's okay to be fat. Yes, because you're rich people that can go out and spend the money on the OZMPIC. OZMPIC's quite expensive kids. Like, I'm doing an endorsement right now, and I'm trading out the talent fee for this endorsement for the opportunity to just take the equivalent of Manjaro. Like, that's what I'm doing right now, right? If I had to buy this shit, even with insurance. Now, the insurance I had in St. Louis was pretty good, and it was only costing me 25 bucks a month. But, like, even with insurance in a lot of cases, like, I had shitty insurance after I got fired, and it was costing me four, 500 bucks a month to take this shit. So, like, tell me all about your body positivity. Tell me how great you feel about
Starting point is 00:06:07 yourself, and that's all well and good. You have that luxury. But you start seeing all of these people, and they're just frauds, not because they're taking Ozempic. That's fine. Again, I don't care lose weight however you want to lose weight do it hit the gym do whatever it's up to you i'm not someone who believes it because obviously i'd be a total fraud myself if i stepped up and was like can you believe these fatties are out there cheating to lose weight getting to the gym you fat shit like i'm not in the gym i've lost like 35 pounds since i started taking manjaro again i am not going to judge anybody for doing that however you want to lose the weight lose the weight i don't care but spare me the body positivity angle spare me the whole angle of like be confident
Starting point is 00:06:46 and believe in yourself while you're out there like Amy Schumer is out there deleting all of her fat pictures and only leaving up skinny pictures now. Like, what are we doing? What if they ever outlawed these weight loss drugs and all of us fatty magoos out there would have to figure out a way to lose weight on her own? Also, if you ever stop taking that shit, which I've done before, you'll gain all the weight back anyway. That's the way it works, right? Like, it's expensive to take that shit. Now, some insurances will cover it fine. Again, it just depends on the insurance you have.
Starting point is 00:07:12 And if you have the cash, use the cash. Spend the money. That's all well and good. I'm not judging. I would urge anybody who feels fat and terrible to take this shit because it didn't make me feel bad at all and I've lost weight and I enjoy it. But like the idea that these celebrities who are all body positive, like everybody's body positive until, you know, they're not fat anymore. Or until they have, you know, it's kind of like the story we had about Lane Kiffin, right? When we talk about Lane Kiffin.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And like everybody's happy with the job they have until they have options. Everybody's happy in their relationship until they have options. If you don't know you have options, you're just some jamoke that's got a, you know, like you've got a frumpy wife and that's your life and you're content with them. You might just have a very pretty wife, but like you don't have options. Then one day, like the really smoking hot secretary is DTF. And then you have options. And then your love for your spouse comes into question, right? Everybody is all about that life until they have options.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Options are vital in all of this. Everybody's body positive and everybody is, it's about damn time and I take my hands. my nails. Tell me how you feel. Everybody's all proud of being big and fat and everybody's proud about having bingo wings and everybody thinks that they're just too much
Starting point is 00:08:22 woman for all them skinny bitches and men to handle and all that until they have options. And when they have options, all the sudden needle goes in the stomach. In like a month you've lost like 30 pounds and you're like, shit, it's about damn time that I get skinny and I'm fine as fuck and I'm deleting all my fat
Starting point is 00:08:39 pictures, who you win? How you're doing? and that's how everybody is when you have options options change everything when you have the option to do something different or better you will do it so if you're amy schumer's fat ass sitting there being depressed and fat all day and then one day you're like i'm going to do i'm going to take this ozimic and now i'm wearing like size five dresses and i'm all skinny as hell and looking all fine you ain't body positive anymore and it just shows you how dangerous all these stupid celebrities are anyway. They sold all these other fat people on being fat, people that probably can't afford to
Starting point is 00:09:17 take all the medications these people take to get less fat. Like to me, that's more dangerous than when we talk about like the hot supermodels on magazines or the angels from like Victoria Secret, like the models from Victoria Secret. Like everybody talks about how dangerous it is and it sets a bad example for body image when these girls have to go to the grocery store and see a magazine from some chick that's like a size two, and she's a supermodel and blah, blah, blah, blah, right? Like, I'd argue it's far more dangerous for fat people who are too lazy to get less fat until they start taking Ozzympic or Manjaro. Like, I think it's worse off for those people to be explaining to other fat people
Starting point is 00:09:55 that it's okay to just be sedentary and unhealthy and fat. Because what's going to happen is, like those people who are super fat like that, a lot of them aren't going to get outside and do anything and try to better themselves and may not have the money or the insurance or whatever to get the Manjaro or the OZemps. So what's going to happen is those people are going to get super fat and remain super fat while you, who are rich and famous, can go out and get Ozempic tomorrow and lose 150 pounds. So while we're sitting here hammering out these ideas about body positivity and what's good for people and what's bad for people and are they unhealthy and like, oh, we got a bad buy. Those poor girls in high school and these adult women have to see, like, it's just unfair for them to want to believe that they can look like, you know, Tate McCray. That's just a bad image.
Starting point is 00:10:38 No, they should aspire to be that as opposed to aspire to be Lizzo and be content with being fat and sassy and how you're doing. Because what ends up happening is those people get skinny with medications that you can't afford and you're still sitting your fat ass at home. Like, man, what happened to my ally? I lost my ally. Ally was like my fat ally. Lizzo was my fat ally and Amy Schumer was my fat ally. And we were also fat together. Now I'm just all fat and alone myself.
Starting point is 00:11:04 And I'm still binge eating hog and dais and eating cookie doll. from the role. And again, I'm not a hypocrite here because I understand what I'm doing. I understand the medications I've taken. I totally get it. I'm not judging anybody who takes those epic. My point would be this, that if you continue to sell people on this idea of body positivity and then you find a miracle drug and lose 150 pounds while those other people can't do it,
Starting point is 00:11:29 you were a hero to fat people because you were fat and now you are no longer fat. You wrote songs that were based on you being fat and those were your biggest hits. And now you're no longer fat, but you're out there. Like the hysterical nature, just how funny it must be to go to a Megan Trainor show. And she's doing her biggest hit all about that base, probably the encore or something. And she's doing that. She's singing about how she's got a fat ass and everybody else and all the skinny bitches. And she's now the skinny bitch.
Starting point is 00:11:57 That's funny. Anyway, more to come.
