Okay, you might have heard by now that Jimmy Kimmel was canceled by ABC indefinitely because of pressure.
Let's just put a really sharp point on this.
Pressure by the United States government from the president of the United States who tweeted,
fired Jimmy Kimmel and the FCC chair who said there would be considerable actions taken against
ABC potentially even changing or taking away their license if they didn't do something about
Jimmy Kimmel.
And this clip is so vanilla.
It's just crazy that this is happening now.
Before we get into all the stuff because you've got reactions from the right, I have some tweets from the president just saying this is just the beginning and more of that.
Before we get to all of that, I want to tell you to do this.
if you are subscribed to Disney Plus, my hope is that you unsubscribe.
You stop paying.
Now, if you are paying for Hulu, unsubscribe, stop paying.
Cancel your Hulu and Disney Plus accounts.
Stop going to Marvel movies.
Stop seeing Disney films.
Stop going to Disney World.
Because the only way this stuff stops is if we show them,
there is an equal but opposite reaction
to not standing up
through this authoritarian government.
Now, I don't believe companies are going to be there
and be the ones to defend our democracy,
but we have to make sure
that they at least don't allow the authoritarian agenda
to take hold as fast as they are.
So if you are going to, if this upsets you,
and it should,
because he did nothing wrong,
he did nothing wrong to deserve
this, then cancel your Hulu subscription, cancel your Disney Plus subscription. We're going to make this
a movement. And while you're here, like this video, subscribe to the channel if you're not
subscribed, because independent media is going to have to fill the void for the place, for
the people that they are getting rid of and for the companies who won't stand up to this
authoritarian movement. Okay? A longer intro that I wanted.
But this is very important.
Now, on to Jimmy Killal.
So this is what he said.
It's a minute long.
It's only a minute long.
And this was, because of this, he had the weight of the United States government attacking him and his company.
We hit some new lows over the weekend with the Maga Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.
In between the finger pointing, there was grieving.
On Friday, the White House flew the flags at half staff, which got some criticism.
But on a human level, you can see how hard the president is taking this.
I condolences on the loss of your friend, Charlie Kirk.
May I ask, sir, personally, how are you holding up over the last day and a half, sir?
I think very good.
And by the way, right there, you see all the trucks?
They've just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House,
which is something they've been trying to get, as you know, for about 150 years.
And it's going to be a beauty.
Yes.
He's at the fourth stage of grief, construction.
Demolition.
Construction.
This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend.
This is how...
Now, you might have missed it.
It was that beginning part where he said this,
that they think this is worth the full way to the government attack him.
Trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk
is anything other than one of them.
everything they can because he he assumed at that time that he was one of them so it's not okay for jimmy
kimmel to make assumptions about what happened without any information but it's okay for everyone
on the right to do that including the president of the united states who said that uh far left lunatics
are calling causing violence in this country that's where we are so the fcc chair is going to say and
is saying that this is because that they're that that Jimmy Kimball is canceled because of
local companies local stations demanding it that's not what's being reported first
we are do I have that clip for you I don't think I do I think I decided not to pull it
up because I was like I'm not going to fucking show his lies so but we have reporting on this
And the reporting says that this is actually because of pressure from the FCC.
As you know, ABC announced on Wednesday that they're going to cancel the late night show because of
those comments, because of those comments. Because of those comments.
Okay, the decision by the network, which is owned by Walt Disney,
came ours at the chairman of the FCC assailed Mr. Kimmel and suggested that his
regulatory agency might take action against ABC because of remarks the host made on his Monday
telecast. The network has actually not said why it's happened, but the sequence of events
on a Wednesday amounted to an extraordinary exertion of political pressure on a major broadcast network
by the Trump administration. President Trump in a social media post said that this is great
news for America. I'm going to show you. It says more than that. And the decision to suspend
Jimmy Kilmelide was made by Robert Eiger, Disney's chief executive and Dana Walden,
the company's television chief, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
And then I guess Mr. Kimmel, I guess Jimmy was going to say something about it today, but they decided to do this before it could happen.
It says that here.
Mr. Kimmel had planned to address the backlash to his comments during his Wednesday telecast, according to two people familiar with the program, but Disney's executives made the decision to suspend the show before taping began.
The company's board was not involved.
Shortly before ABC announced his suspension, next are...
and those other local stations started to say that they were not going to carry
kimball's program
that's not why this happened this happened because the fcc in the trump administration
pressured a b cd to do that
and here is
here is uh... the fcc chair
making more threats
yeah i think president trump
ran against immense
these legacy media outlets through everything at him almost every single hoax imagine
right
Biden is sharp as attack, burying the Hunter Biden laptop story, the Russia collusion hoax.
And most politicians would have just gone along with that narrative or not fought at all.
But President Trump punched back.
And when he did so, he was standing up the American people that simply don't trust those outlets anymore.
You know, what I'm thinking about this is we just didn't have no swagger after January 6th.
We should have went in there with big balls, no people.
unintended to Doge, and we should have said, Fox, we're taking away your license for telling
election lies.
We're taking away the license for anyone who told election lies.
We're also going to prosecute anyone who tried to overthrow our government and try to steal
an election, including the former president.
And perhaps we wouldn't be in the situation right now.
Perhaps we wouldn't be in a situation where the president of the United States is tweeting
things like, great news for America.
America. The ratings challenge Jimmy Kimmel show is canceled. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what it had to be done. Kimmel has zero talent and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that's possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers on fake news NBC. Their ratings are also horrible to do at NBC. So now he's calling for Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Myers to be taken off the air. Here's how Hannity.
covered it.
Now, the left already, starting with Humpty Dumpty, fake news, CNN, J.B. Pritzker, Gavin Newsome,
predictably claiming this is conservative censorship.
The MAGA crowd, Donald Trump got Jimmy Kimmel.
That is false.
I can't find a single prominent conservative voice in the country that even remotely wanted or hoped
or was pushing to get Jimmy Kimmel taken off the air.
Nobody, it just was simple.
People changed the channel.
They didn't.
The president of the United States tweeted in June or July that they want to get rid of.
Jimmy Kimmel.
Brendan Carr, apparently, sent a text to Bryant Stelter with a celebratory emoji after this news dropped.
And just to put a pin on this, here is the statement, Sinclair, a local broadcast company that is
conservative and owns way too many local stations in the country. It's a problem that we should
have solved when we were in power. Now it's biting us in the ass. This is the important bit
from the statement, and I hope you can't read that. I guess it's kind of, oh, there we go. Okay,
maybe you can read that now. There we go. Sinclair also calls upon Mr. Kimmel to issue
an apology to the Kirk family. So they're asking for an apology. Furthermore, they're
asking him to donate to the Kirk family and to Turning Point USA.
So they're bribing him if they want to get him back on the air.
Regardless of ABC's plans for the future of the program,
Sinclair intends to not return to become alive to our air
until we are confident that our appropriate steps,
that appropriate steps have been taken to uphold the standards expected
of a national broadcast platform.
Absolutely absurd.
And just to put some horror to this show,
Laura Lumer said Laura Lumer live. It's got a nice ring to it.
Awful.
Awful. And didn't David Frum said this is not cancel culture because it's not culture.
It's a state repression. It's an order from the government. Here's a script.
You must read it. If you did not read it, you will be taken off the air.
And I believe I have one more comment from Nureb Tandon that I just thought was a little naive.
And I'm sorry to be naive. I'm sorry to say she's naive, but she said, looking forward
to a future Democratic president's interpretation of public interest obligation.
Well, this is part of the problem.
Listen, I'm a positive optimist person, but you also got to be a realist, okay?
What's happening now?
Troops in the streets, military in the streets, with guns,
President of the United States, deciding who can and cannot be on TV,
doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where this is heading, which is no, what,
Russia has elections.
I don't know how free and fair of the elections are going to be.
Now, I don't, I hate saying that.
But to pretend like we're just, like, oh, we're just going to have another election again,
that's kind of not how this sort of stuff works.
I hope I'm wrong.
But Russia has elections.
They're just usually not, you usually just can't win.
them. In fact, no one ever has besides Putin. So, sorry for that wake-up call. And sorry for that
