Well, we got some breaking news and news that I kind of unfortunately predicted a few weeks ago.
Not even a few weeks ago.
A week ago on Don Lemon's show where we are learning now that Chuck Schumer is going to cave
and is going to give Republicans everything they want with nothing in return.
Now, this is actually us reporting it.
And I don't want to do a told you so, but I'm going to do you a told you so because
I was on Don Lemon show on the 30th where I said this is exactly what's going to happen.
Something like that.
Keith, love your work.
Final words.
What do you think happens with this shutdown?
And who's responsible?
Republicans.
Bro, I think Chuck Schumer and Jeffries, I fear are going to cave.
That's kind of how I feel because they actually care.
They care.
And that you can't care anymore.
If you care, you're going to lose.
But I think they're going to, they're going to buckle because they care and because they don't want people to be hurt.
And Donald Trump and Johnson will keep going because they don't give a shit who, what happens to who or what happens to anyone.
So I do think that they will eventually buckle.
I hope with getting something, but I'm not sure.
Well, it turns out they're going to get nothing.
And I was kind of right on that.
Like, I don't think they're buckling because they care.
I mean, we don't really know the reason why they're buckling right now.
We are, through reporting, now learning too, that Donald Trump is actually demanding that states who release snap benefits to give them back and to halt it.
So they really don't care about who gets hurt.
In fact, they're trying to make it that as many people as possible get hurt so that they, I think, create more chaos and division.
Now, here is the reporting from Axios here, where it says that,
there it is, where it says that
a handful of Senate Democrats on Sunday
indicated they are ready to advance a package of bills
that could end the government shut down
multiple sources told Axios.
Here's why it matters.
It is the most significant movement
toward a bipartisan breakthrough in the talks
to reopen the government in over a month.
At least 10 Senate Democrats
are expected to support a procedural motion
to advance a package of spending bills
of a short-term funding measure through the end of January,
multiple sources from both parties told Axio.
So this is real because it's being reported on from both parties.
It's not just someone bloviating.
Now, the deal would include a December vote on a Democratic proposal
to extend ACA tax credits for one year.
Multiple sources says it would take 60 votes to pass.
We'll have more on thoughts on that in just a moment.
This agreement is expected to include language that would, at minimum,
undo the federal layoffs that President Trump implemented during the shutdown.
Talks are fluid and no deal is final until lawmakers have voted,
but the discussions are progressing toward a deal that would end weeks of deadlock in the Senate.
The big picture, senators are in Washington for a rare weekend session
and are on track to vote on Sunday on a procedural motion on government funding package.
Lawmakers have been asked to return to Washington and Sunday if they left town,
and the long-awaited text of three appropriation bills
that lawmakers hoped to include in the deal
was released Sunday afternoon.
So it does look like this is accurate.
We have reporting not only from inside the Democratic camp
or the Republican camp as well.
And a little bit about this measure here.
This is basically what Chuck Schumer is getting
for reopening the government.
The deal would include a December vote on a Democratic proposal to extend ACA tax credits for one year.
Multiple sources said, it would take 60 votes to pass.
So, what Chuck Schumer, let's just bring him back up here, what Chuck Schumer is doing
is for a vote that they're basically giving Republicans everything they want in exchange for,
the potential of a vote to vote on ACA subsidies. That would require 60 votes to pass.
So there is no, like it's not a law. It's not a law. Do you think Republicans are above saying,
yeah, we're going to do that and then never doing it? Do you think Republicans are above having
the procedure of vote and then voting against it? I think both options.
actually quite obvious to me that Republicans are just doing and saying whatever they can
to get the government reopened and it's crazy to me that Chuck Schumer is saying to himself
well if they're promising that we can have a vote that's good enough why not just include
it in the package which is what you were fighting for anyways this is not a win this is not a
and they're going to try to sell this to us as a win. It's not a win. And I don't care.
Like that's, and here's the thing is, yeah, I'm a left leaning YouTuber. But the DNC, the Democrats,
none of them pay me. I interviewed Ken Martin a couple of days ago. It's on the channel.
And a lot of people who are like calling me a DNC op or whatever through the interview. Like,
no. They don't pay me. No one tells you what to say. Okay. And I hope.
this is clear evidence of it because what's going to happen is I think a lot of the left-leaning
commentators are going to say this is a win it is not a win at all it would be a win if they
actually got something they're getting the promise of something in the future from people who can't
keep promises that doesn't seem like a win to me now I wanted to give you here is uh I
wanted to give you Chuck Schumer's number here because
I want you to call him if you can.
And let him know we don't F with this.
Let him know that if they end up doing this,
then he's going to have something or someone to answer to in the future.
So his number is 202-224-6542.
He is the minority Senate leader.
He is basically the default leader of the party.
I think you should definitely give him a call.
202-224-6542.
Let him know.
how you feel about him caving to Republicans. Here is just some commentary on this. Scenaries from
Obamacare subsidies, do Dems have enough votes to pass it in the Senate? No. Do Dems have enough
votes to pass in the House? No. And that's assuming it's actually brought to vote, which again,
could very well not be brought to vote. Given actual votes without extracting the same is
asinine. Asinine. Someone else says, that deal would include a December vote on the Demp proposal to extend
ACA credits from one year, sources said the vote would be at 60 vote threshold for passage.
This is the reporter who wrote the next story. He also said,
the timing of this all coming together could get messy. It will take unanimous consent for
lawmakers to bypass procedural hurdles, limit debate, etc. There will be some dees upset by
this bill. Keep an eye out if they refuse to give consent. I refuse. I refuse. Kyle
Kalinsky is how you say his name? I don't know how you see any name. This is a cave. Chuck Schumer
is caving, call his office now
as I just give you his number, and say
hold the line and effing resign
and let real fighters take over,
put the healthcare subsidies in the effing
deal. No, now or Dems vote no.
That sounds right to me.
That sounds right to me.
So we're going to follow this. I mean, I do think this is going to start
to break pretty fast as we
move on. And I just want to also say, too,
that I am, this is just, in case
you're interested, I am in
I'm on the feature of this channel called Jubilee.
And I debated, as you can see here, I debated two MAGA conservatives.
And I would love for you to give that a look if you can.
It's just Jubilee, give it a look.
My first time doing something like this, I felt, I'm always, I'm used to talking to the camera.
So let me know how you think I did if you check it out.
Please do give it a watch, hit a like, because, you know, the more likes it gets, the more views it gets,
the more comments it gets, the more likely they'll bring me on.
And I would love to keep doing this sort of thing
because I do think it's important to bring our ideas
to areas in which maybe they're not always heard.
So, but I do, you know, I have to get practice.
So, all right, well, thanks for watching.
And I will see you soon.
Bye.
