Well, we're getting more information about this Erica Kirk Town Hall and the response has not been great.
We're now learning that advertisers actually stayed away from it.
I'll have the reporting for you.
I have one clip.
I'm only going to show you one clip from the Erica Kirk Town Hall because we don't need to give this woman any more clout,
but the internet is specifically reacting to this clip.
I'll give you the clip and these reactions.
And then Erica Kirk actually made a shock announcement literally moments ago that I'm going to bring to you.
And we'll talk about it.
First, let's get to this reporting.
This is Variety saying that big advertising.
advertisers were wary of the CBS News, very wise, town hall format. And here is the reporting. They say
this. Direct response advertisers typically pay lower prices in exchange for allowing TV networks to put
their commercials on air when convenience allows. A flurry of the ads appearing in one program
usually offers a signal that the network could not line up more mainstream support for the content
it chose to air. So we had direct response advertisers, but they didn't have the big ones, as it explains
here, the more moneyed class was evident during the first commercial break appearing in the
9-P-hour on CBS, a reprocast of a 2024 episode of 48 hours. Marketers appearing include
Amazon, Procter & Gamble, Ferreiro Group, one direct response marketer, Operation Smile,
a non-profit medical service organization also appeared.
CBS's news ability to line up sponsorships for the town hall may be critical if the network
plans to air more hours tied to the new format. So this thing was a ratings,
loser and it didn't even make money. And you're about to see why because this shit was crazy.
It was absolutely crazy. I shared this clip and I just said it is impressive how bad she is at this.
Now, this guy to the left here is actually the last person who ever talked to Charlie Kirk,
as you may or may not know, Charlie Kirk was doing a debate outside. He was debating a college
student. This is the person he was debating when Charlie Kirk was fatally shot. And he asked
a question to Erica Kirk and she, I have to assume, I have to assume she got these questions
ahead of time. I have to, like, I don't know why she wouldn't have. She's not a politician.
She's never going to be after you see this. So I don't, it's shocking that she was so unprepared.
To cry them, but any good faith effort to stop political violence must hold both parties to the same
standard and expectation. So in that spirit, will you condemn the violent rhetoric of Donald Trump
the most powerful and influential person on earth.
I appreciate your question.
You know my heart.
Why would I ever say, yes, go murder people?
This is so much deeper than just one.
I understand your sentiment.
I do.
But this is also so much deeper than just one person.
This starts at the home.
Okay?
This starts with family.
This starts with a seed.
that grows and grows.
You can choose to have evil in your heart, or you can choose to have light.
What you consume and what you absorb from the outside world will manifest itself.
No, I will never agree with political violence.
My husband is a victim of it.
I'm a victim of it.
But what I'm trying to say here is that...
I'm going to let her keep going, but we're not asking you to just condemn political violence,
which I know is very easy to do.
asking you to acknowledge that this isn't just a problem on the left. And actually, it's really
not the bigger problem on the left, to be completely clear. Most violence happens from the right.
But what he's just trying to get you to say is that the president of the United States is one of the
biggest perpetrators of political violence through his rhetoric. And I guess, I mean, she is
completely incapable of acknowledging that. Can blame everyone else. We have to look in the mirror
when you become a father when you become a mother how are you raising your kids are you taking responsibility
or are you giving them a device and saying go down that rabbit hole i'm trying to go to pilates class
you can just sit in the corner and look at your ipad or look at your phone and go down that rabbit hole
and see what you can learn from that instead of being a parent okay so she is more willing to blame
women who go to Pilates classes and kids with iPads for political violence, then the biggest
perpetrator in their country, Donald Trump, absolutely insane.
So my call to action from that is parents step up. Do you want your kid to be a thought leader
or an assassin? Is that the only choices? What about a thought assassin? I want my,
I want my child to be a verbal assassin. Do you think our political leaders have a
a responsibility to turn the temperature down right now. Well, I think everyone has a responsibility
to do that and I'm doing my part. Okay. All right. Well, are you? Are you? Now, she said it all starts at
home. I'm going to give you reactions to that moment. It all starts at home. But here's what Charlie Kirk
has said in the past. If it all starts at home, this is about the guy who hurt Paul Pelosi.
He's asking why that person was still in prison or in jail. And why is he still in jail? Why has he not
been bailed out? By the way, if some
If some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to really be a midterm
hero, someone should go and bail this guy out. I bet his bail's like 30 or 40,000 bucks.
Bail him out and then go ask him some question.
Yeah. So we're not going to do this shit. We're not going to whitewaths this shit. Like,
fuck that. Uh-uh. That's fucked up. Someone broke into Paul Pelosi's home. Thank God, Nancy Pelosi
wasn't there, broke into their home, hit him over the head with a hammer. He got to the
hospital. Thank God he didn't die. It wasn't more serious. And here he is saying we got to bail that guy out.
And you're trying to lecture like us. Oh, fuck that. All right. Anyways, other people said Erica Kirk is fixing
the divide by being weird and unlike hole in media interviews. That's true. I mean, I don't think
issue has, I'll just say this. My mom is, she's not Republican. I think she'd call herself
libertarian, but she does vote for Republicans. We both agree about Erica Kirk. I'll just say it
like that. All right. And someone else said,
She is so bad.
Her grift won't last long.
And look how far CBS news has gone in the toilet.
Platforming a griff for is some type of moral conscious on anything simply because her husband was murdered.
And Wilfred says, I hadn't actually watched much of her because I don't, I don't care.
Oh, this is good.
So I'm being genuine when I say, holy fuck.
I had no idea how bad she was at this.
And someone said her and J.D. Bands use the same eyel liner.
Very serious commentary, Garrett.
Thank you for that.
They said there's a similarity between her and the bride of Chucky.
Well, I will just say that there are also memes coming out about this, and here's just a few.
Yes, thank you, five.
Can I have a moment just by myself?
Yeah, no.
Oh, no, yes.
Of course.
Are you and you're good?
You're good.
And you're good?
Thank you.
You okay?
I'm okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
You've got, you've got righteous anger.
And God will take care of all of those.
who oppose you.
And it's for the ability to be able to grieve and want privacy.
And some people grieve differently.
Yeah, some people grieve differently.
This is the weirdest fucking way to grieve ever seen my entire life.
Yeah, so I am hoping that this is behind us now.
Like, I would like Erica Kirk are going out.
Goodbye.
Bye, please.
You stop being, like, I don't need to see you anymore.
I don't need to see you anymore.
Like, it's like we get it.
It's bad and I'm sorry for whatever reason feel the need to be on camera rather than be in private
with your family and trying to process this.
But what you're doing is not healthy and you are not coming from a place of moral authority
with everything.
There's so much Charlie Kirk said and did that is just hypocritical to what you're trying
to promote now.
Okay.
And we know what you're really trying to promote is the book.
And Erica Kirk did make this shock announcement today where she says,
said, this is literally moments ago.
Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private in-person discussion on Monday, which is tomorrow.
Candace Owens and I have agreed the public discussions, live streams, and tweets are on hold until
after this meeting.
I look forward to a productive conversation.
Thank you.
I mean, I will say, like, the people on the right, they know how to keep the drama and the
storyline going.
Democrats, we got to figure that out because this shit is, though insane, it's a little
interesting.
It is interesting.
You know you're a little interested. I am too. Like what are they going to talk about? You know, now a whole new round of like stuff that's going to come out. I just want her go away. Please. Please. Please.
