We just got some pretty big news.
News we weren't really expecting.
Donald Trump, this is his face.
This is an artist's impression of what his face looks like as he's getting the news
that a Democrat has flipped the district he lives in.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Donald Trump is going to be represented by a Democrat in his home.
There's something very poetic about that, isn't there?
Now, what I love about this, I'm going to tell you more about it in just a second,
but what I love about this is that Donald Trump isn't just going to be represented by a Democrat.
He's also finding out his endorsement doesn't mean what it used to because he sent this out
before the election saying this is a very important special election tomorrow, Tuesday,
March 24th for Florida State House District 87 in beautiful Palm Beach County.
John Maples has my complete and total endorsement.
And then he goes on to explain everything about John.
And he says here, to all great patriots in Florida State House District 87, get out and vote for John Maple.
Poles are open.
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., John will never let you down.
Well, John did let you down.
John lost. Let's just look into what actually happened. Emily Gregory flipped the House District
87, defeating Trump, backed John Maples in the special election. The Palm Beach County District
Home to Marlago went Trump plus 11 in 2024. And I believe I have here, she flipped it. Yeah,
she got plus 14. That's crazy. She wasn't the only one either. We also learned that this nice
gentleman here, Democrat Brian Nathan won his Florida State Senate District special election,
flipping the seat from red to blue. This is also a district that Donald Trump carried,
and he carried it by seven points. And it's the second seat that Democrats flipped. That night,
we also got another one where Florida House District 51, we carried it even though it wasn't
a flip. And Donald Trump's endorsed candidates are losing not only in Florida, but
North Carolina as well. A Trump endorsed North Carolina State Senate leader lost by 23 votes,
which I love when that happens because it really is a sign that your vote does matter.
23 votes, 23. That's the size of a classroom. 23 votes. So your vote matters. And Donald Trump
is realizing that he is super, super unpopular. His endorsement might actually have
a negative polarizing effect where when someone understands he's in the race, it makes people
want to vote for the other person. We also know, too, that Donald Trump, Trump's approval
has fallen to 36 percent, the lowest since he returned to the White House.
Send another way, like, 64 percent of the country doesn't like what Donald Trump is doing.
64%. I would like to meet that 36%. I kind of feel like that 36% would not leave him no matter what.
But 36% is far from a majority. And that's why we're seeing these house races, these special elections flipping so often.
Now, part of the problem for Donald Trump is because he's so unpopular, he can't control Republicans like he used to.
And here's Nancy Mace showing what that could mean for Donald Trump and his aspirations.
So I'll be voting against the funding if we're putting troops on the ground.
I'm not going to fund that.
Okay.
Yeah, no U.S. troops.
Do you think that the ongoing war makes us more vulnerable to an infrastructure attack?
Are you concerned to that?
I'm concerned about a lot of things.
I mean, Hesbila is here.
I mean, the enemy isn't flying in on planes from Tehran.
They're already here.
Yeah.
So Nancy Mace, I think, is echoing.
a lot of Republicans that they don't want boots on the ground.
They don't want troops in the Middle East.
Donald Trump is threatening that.
We just got a report moments ago that there are 2,000 paratroopers being sent to the
Middle East so that Donald Trump has, quote, all options on the table, even though Donald
Trump, earlier today, if you watch the previous video, Donald Trump announced that the war's
been won.
The war's been a well, which is it, biotch?
Because it can't be both.
I'll tell you what has been one is Democrats keep flipping states, keep flipping districts,
keep flipping elections that folks aren't really expecting.
Now, I want to say this because this is great, this is good.
Obviously, not a bad thing.
But what I don't want, like, I want you to be happy.
I want you to be so happy.
I want you to feel hopeful.
I want you to feel energized.
I want you to see that...
Not every American, because as we're seeing polling shows,
that there's a vast, there's a large minority of Americans
who love the fascist shit happening in this country.
But what I don't want, now this is for establishment Democrats.
This is for Chuck Schumer.
This is for Hakeem Jeffries.
This is for leadership in the Democratic Party.
What I don't want you to take from all of these wins
that are happening across the country
when's that happened today in Florida,
what I don't want you to take from this
is that Americans love what you're doing
because they don't.
Do you know the only thing more unpopular
than Donald Trump, do you know what it is?
The Democratic Party.
So there's a reason for that.
That's because Democrats are not fighting.
Democrats are not giving a vision of hope,
a vision of a different future for America.
There's not really that many
policy proposals I'm hearing from Democrats.
And I've said this before on Twitter, and I've had like near a tendon in my replies,
but I'm going to stand by this.
Winning because the other side is losing isn't actually winning.
Winning by default isn't winning.
Winning because people are like, okay, it's either a shit sandwich or a dirt sandwich.
I guess dirt is a little bit more organic.
solely that isn't actually accomplishing anything. So I want to impress on Democrats that this is not a sign
that the public is with you. They're not. They're just realizing that there's only two options
in this scenario. So you win by default. But I'm sick of this yo-yo. And I actually do think
that Democrats could have a majority in the country
if we actually offered a vision
that's starkly different than what Republicans are offering.
Certainly a vision that's a little bit more than Donald Trump's bad,
so elect us, which has been the vision for the Democratic Party
for about the past 10 years.
I'm simplifying it,
but Democrats have loved the opportunity to run against Trump
but Democrats really haven't been running for much of anything.
And I don't want Democrats to see these results and say to themselves,
see, we've got the right ideas, we've got the right message, we have the right policies.
That's not true.
Y'all are really unpopular.
The difference is that you're slightly more popular than fascism, okay?
But I personally think we shouldn't strive to just not be fascism.
we should strive to be, I don't know, whatever progressive America looks like,
I would like for that vision to come out of the party.
And if it doesn't, then we're ready, willing, able to do the work as voters to create the party we need.
Okay?
So again, I don't want to, I don't want to, I don't want to tamper down anyone's excitement.
That message was not for you, the voter.
That's not for you, the activist.
That's not for you, the audience.
Remember, the message really is for the Democratic establishment and the leaders in the party.
Because I know how they look at this.
And they think that, wow, we're going to sweep the midterms.
We don't have to change anything.
Well, I'm telling you right now, just because things are looking good,
because the other side is quite bad, doesn't mean that we as voters,
we as Democratic Party members,
aren't still pissed off in wanting big sweeping change in this party in this country.
I'll see you soon.
