All right, well, Donald Trump just got done with a really strange and frankly worrying speech in Davos,
where he confused Iceland with Greenland.
And, you know, I got to say, and I'm going to talk to you more about why this is so smart,
that Gavin Newsom is there in Davos.
And not only is he mocking him on the internet, he's there talking to press,
giving his opinion on what we all just saw.
Now, I want to show you a little bit of what happened there, and then I'm going to give you Gavin Newsom's response, which again is brilliant.
Brilliant.
So first, here is Donald Trump confusing Iceland and Greenland.
Europe, I'm helping NATO.
And until the last few days, when I told them about Iceland, they loved me.
They called me daddy, right?
The last time, very smart man said he's our daddy.
I mean, I'm just going to drink some coffee.
And now I'm going to say it's fucking nuts.
The president of the United States.
One is confusing Iceland and Greenland two different places.
It's like saying, it's like saying New York and New Jersey, two different places.
I suppose it's even more, it would make more sense to confuse New York and New Jersey
because at least they both have new in the name.
I guess they both have land in their name.
So maybe it was actually a good analogy.
But secondly, why is he referring to himself?
as daddy. What is going on? What is happening? I'm so...
All right. Now, Trump also, I'm just going to show you the fact check before we read the lie.
China operates some of the world's largest wind farms. Now, Gavin Newsom responded directly to this, too.
There are windmills all over Europe. There are windmills all over the place.
And they are losers. One thing I've noticed is that the more windmills a country has, the more money that
country loses and the worst that country is doing. China makes almost all of the windmills,
and yet I haven't been able to find any wind farms in China. Did you ever think of that?
It's a good way of looking at. They're smart. China's very smart. They make them, they sell them for a
fortune. They sell them to the stupid people that buy them, but they don't use them themselves.
They put up a couple of big wind farms, but they don't use them. They just put them up to show people.
I know a lot of people are, I mean, I don't know, other people can say what they're going to say about this.
I actually find this very hopeful. He's clearly falling apart. Like, he wants to stay in power. I don't know what the good lord's going to let him.
Because this is a man who, I mean, he did have a long trip, you know, long trip. But this is a man who is not doing well.
I am gathering much energy and hope from these clips. All right. Speaker, Mike Johnson said he hadn't seen any of Donald Trump's speech.
How am I a YouTuber more aware of what happens in this country than the Speaker of the House?
What's that about?
All right, as I said, first off, Gavin Newsom was in the room.
Donald Trump referenced him, and Jabynson was in the room, laughed at his face.
Wouldn't it help the people in California?
We want to have no crime.
I know Gavin was here.
I used to get along celebrated with Gavin and I was president.
Gavin's a good guy.
And if you needed it, I would do it.
I would do it in an heartbeat.
I'd love to shout out to the cameraman.
Quick.
That cameraman needs a raise.
It very quickly was like pivoting and trying to find the governor.
We did help them a lot in Los Angeles, a lot with the early, early in my term,
would have had some problems.
But we would love to do it.
I would say this about a Democrat governor.
It's a meme of the year.
He's just like,
and we're taking people.
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Let's watch it.
The benefits that I have.
Oh my God, he's all of us.
There will be no more payments to
sanctuary cities because they are really just
sanctuaries to criminals. They're really protected.
All right now, Gavin Newsom tweeted right after this,
and I think it's probably the biggest burn
you can give Donald Trump.
He said, well, that was boring.
Oof! That stings more than anything else.
I think he could call Donald Trump a slob.
You can call him fat. You can call him ugly.
you can call him poor. One thing you cannot call Donald Trump is boring. That cuts deep. Now, I'm going to tell you why I think this is smart.
Because not only is Gavin Newsom commenting on it, but the fact that he's there means he can be the Democratic American opposition to what Donald Trump is saying. There's no, I don't think anyone else is there who's a Democrat elected politician who is there. I don't think anyone's so very smart of him to be there so that we can have a pro-demarer.
voice pushing back on this shit and here's what he had to say about all of it
was did it stand out to that he said Iceland multiple times when he was talking
about Greenland you know and that it every time a windmill turns it costs a
thousand dollars a lot of stuff stands out none of this is normalized there's a
normalization of deviancy of consciousness and you know comments and commentary
and no other president he's he's held to the curve he's graded on a curve
I mean, it's really some job-dropping and remarkable statements that just fly in the face of facts and evidence and common sense.
But you've heard them over and over and over again.
For the European audience, that may have been a new speech.
My God, there wasn't anything new about that speech for the American audience.
The only thing that was new is he said he's willing to negotiate, but wait a second, that's not new either.
because the EU's been saying we wanted to negotiate for over a year.
All right, Gavin Newsom also posted this.
Dozy Donne.
Dozy Don conquers Davos.
Very nice.
All right, he also echoed the statements about Trump being boring.
Again, this is the worst thing you can say about Donald Trump.
I know this for a fact.
It was remarkably boring.
It was remarkably insignificant.
He was never going to invade Greenland.
It was never real.
So that was always a fade.
And so he says, well, we should negotiate.
Well, everybody here has been willing to negotiate for a year.
So it had fire and fury signified absolutely nothing.
Even by Trump standards, I was rather curious.
And there was boorish parts of it, but those were not even that consequential,
including name-checking, people he likes, people he didn't like.
So, you know, I just, there was non-pulent.
I just, I was not, honestly, it was just, I was a little disappointed.
It was a little nonpluss.
Did it stand out too?
I'm going to disagree with the governor there.
I do think Donald Trump is going to try to take Greenland by force.
And that's why I'm disappointed that Donald Trump said that he's not going to do that.
And then CNN and CNBC both ran with Kairons that say, Trump, I won't use force to take Greenland.
Like, Trump, I won't use force.
Like, have we not learned?
Have we not learned that this man, just because he says it,
doesn't mean he's not going to do it.
I just, I don't trust it one bit.
I won't believe, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't believe that that it's going to be as simple as
Donald Trump saying, well, I guess if we can't get into the negotiation, I'm going to end
with this because this man is, I'm telling it, these are hopeful clips.
This is a moment of hope.
All caused by this horrible, sir, just horrible president, I'm asking Congress to cap credit card
interest rates at 10% for one year.
Can't speak.
Can't speak.
Can't think?
I'm just going to say,
McDonald's, do your thing.
I'm so glad Gavin Newsom is there.
All right, we're going to keep following this as we do all things.
If you'd like to follow along, like, subscribe, and I'll see you soon.
Bye.
