Starting point is 00:00:00 Is Fox News waking up? Probably not. But they are pushing back on some of Donald Trump's worst instincts. And I think that tells us there is some sort of boundary by what is going to be acceptable with Republicans. And we are seeing that in real time as Republicans are jumping ship. They are rats leaving the sinking ship. And it is no better exemplified than this nice lady in Pennsylvania who said this.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Trump, let's take a listen to one more woman who we spoke with. If you could say something to President Trump and he was going to hear you right now, what would it be? You are a worthless pile of shit. And you voted for him, how many times? Three times. That was my bad. Apparently, I'm an idiot. I don't know if you're an idiot. It was your bad. Donald Trump is a piece of shit. And I welcome you. I welcome you over to this side. It's warm. It's nice. and we're actually trying to make it better for people,
Starting point is 00:01:04 not just our billionaire friends and pedophile buddies. Welcome. All right, Donald Trump also had some pushback on Laura Ingram, of all places, where there's this thing going around where they're like, basically they're trying to pretend like Iran was an imminent threat to the United States. It wasn't. It wasn't. They're trying to push that lie.
Starting point is 00:01:28 But it's not working, at least not on Fox. Here's Laura Ingram doing the pushing. I think I can't speak for them, but I think a lot of folks believe that America first doesn't mean more military intervention unless the threat was clearly imminent to the country. I think that's what a lot of them believe and a lot of people very supportive of the president and almost everything he does. Was it an imminent threat in your mind? No question. They've been murdering us for half century blowing up our embassies. But that's not imminent, is it? Oh, I think it is. I mean, 43 Americans were killed on October 7th, whether it's Beiribirous bombing, Cobar Tower, the USS Cole.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Imminent is the fact that for half century, they have been consistently and regularly killing our people brutally. And they've been supporting proxy groups from the Houthi rebels. Our largest naval battle since late takeoff in 1945 was the Red Sea battle in 2023. So to say that they're not imminent belies a half century of history of what Iran's been doing to us, to our allies, and to the global economy. Okay. All right. Imminent. Imminent. I didn't spell that right. Imminent. Definition. Imminent. About to happen. They were in imminent danger of being swept away. I don't think that's what Iran was doing. Imminent. Waiting, ready to take place happening soon. Danger was about to take place. Danger was
Starting point is 00:02:52 happened. No, no, no, no, it was not. No, you don't know what words mean. And on this, channel, words actually still mean something. And if something is an imminent threat, that means that something, they're about to do something to us. Saying that they've murdered people does not mean that we get to just kill them. Two wrongs don't make a right. I know we learned that in kindergarten may be forgotten, but two wrongs don't make a right. Two stupid people does make everything a lot more stupid. Now, Laura Ingram didn't stop there. She said this, a righteous act and it's overdue. Senator, a lot of headlines about MAGA's divided. Obviously, there are some folks, very prominent people who are very unhappy about this.
Starting point is 00:03:33 I've never been a big military intervention person myself, except in the Iraq War, which was a mistake. But new numbers are showing that Trump's base totally with him on this. Watch this. His base is not with him on this. May I remind you? You are a worthless pile of shit. And you voted for him. How many times?
Starting point is 00:03:57 Three times. That was my bad. The base is not with him at all. All right. But the podcasters are, at least Dan Bonjino, who used to work for the FBI, is trying to defend Donald Trump by, again, saying like that there was some sort of imminent threat that he knew about. But for some reason, one of their intelligence officials wouldn't have?
Starting point is 00:04:22 You're going to see this with Joe Kent in the coming days. Listen, Joe's decorated history of service is beyond reproach, and a sacrifice with his family is just unspeakable. I don't even like to think about it. His wife who passed over who was killed. Yeah, I mean, you know, her name is emblazoned on a plaque in a facility. I can't really talk about. And when you read the story there, it's a tough story to read.
Starting point is 00:04:48 But, you know, again, as I've said with other, yeah, the sacrifice is beyond reproach. That doesn't mean that this current opinion is any more fact-based because it's not. I'm really sorry, Laura. I mean, I read probably a lot more intelligence than he did because they don't have a law enforcement function, the National Counterterrorism Center. He's an intelligence official. Dan Bongino, a podcaster saying he's read more intelligence than the intelligence official. Give me a break. Political clearinghouse. They're valuable. However, had access to just about everything and how you could come to the conclusion that the Israelis did it and and there was no imminent threat here really what about the anti-ship ballistic missiles
Starting point is 00:05:34 the drone program 440 kilograms of 60% enriched nuclear material their constant death to America chance i mean constant death to america chance is not let us again imminent threat that is not an imminent threat. It sucks. Don't think it's great. Don't like it. Doesn't mean you get to bomb them. It's crazy town. Crazy town. You know, though, this is the result of all of this reaction to the imminent threat that was never there. But the fact is that the U.S. economy is fundamentally sound and that if it were to be extended, it wouldn't really disrupt the U.S. economy very much at all. it would hurt consumers and we'd have to think about, you know, if that continued what we would
Starting point is 00:06:25 have to do about that. But that's like really the last of our concerns right now because we're very confident. This is my new favorite guy. Hacet. I don't know if I figured it's first name. This is my new favorite guy. It used to be Scott Bissent, but Scott got too slick on TV. Now this guy is so bad what he does. Oh my God. It wouldn't really disrupt the U.S. economy very much at all. I mean, it would hurt. consumers, and we'd have to think about what we'd have to do about that. But that's really the last of our concern now. Consumers being hurt, that's not what we're going to worry about the Trump
Starting point is 00:06:59 administration. Well, we're going to worry about making money, baby. Crypto-chutching. Whatever. And FYI, this is the ramifications of the war no one wants, the war that literally Fox News is beginning to push back on. These numbers, you just see these shifts down in terms of how our allies or folks in those countries view U.S. military action in the Middle East. You see how unpopular it is this time around, Canada, Japan, the U.K. And this is just part of a larger picture, Mr. Berman, a larger picture. Favorable view of the U.S. in 2025 versus 2024, of course, Donald Trump being the president in 2025, Joe Biden being the President of the United States in 2024. Look at this. Favorable view of the U.S., down 79% of 24 countries' residents ask. The bottom line is this.
Starting point is 00:07:47 the folks overseas are far less likely to view the U.S. favorably, and those chickens, they're coming home to Roos in this situation as there's very little support abroad for the U.S. military action in Iran. Yeah. No one, literally no one wants this. They never told us why we're doing it. For some reason, we're doing it. I don't understand why, where Congress go. Didn't Congress, wasn't there supposed to be like a declaration? I guess we don't just don't do that anymore. Congress just, just, Congress is just passing light suggestions. They don't pass laws anymore. Just light suggestions.
Starting point is 00:08:22 What about this? What about this, Donald Trump? But I say, let them cook. Let them cook. This is not, listen, none of this is good. None of this is good for them. It's not good for the Republican Party. Unfortunately, it's not good for the country.
Starting point is 00:08:36 But I kind of think is one of those things where you got to touch the hot stove in order to know that it's hot. It hurts. And maybe don't do that again. Maybe we're in the middle of touching. the hot stove as a country.
