Dad is no longer president and Hunter Biden is like speaking up in a way that I find to be very entertaining. We also have Obama who gave his real opinions about Trump off the record apparently that got leaked through Anthony Fauci's

diary and I got the opportunity to speak to someone who I'm so excited for you to meet. First, let's just get to a Hunter. Hunter literally, I'm loving, I'm loving this moment. Hunter is just, has absolutely no more Fs to give. And it is very entertaining. And in my opinion, very satiating, nursing. Feels good. Let's watch.

So this whole Sleepy Joe thing and all that, if that's the standard, then why aren't we having a 25th Amendment right now? The man literally falls asleep in a room full of his entire cabinet sitting behind the resolute desk. And that is not an exaggeration or unfair. It's not unfair of me to say that. It's not like they just caught him closing his eyes for a moment and said, oh, he's sleeping like they would do with my dad. Okay? You literally can go back and look at the videotape of him with an entire cabinet speaking behind him,

sitting in a chair and he's sleeping. He's out. So this whole sleep. Yeah, I mean, isn't it? I mean, it's like almost of a witch curse Trump and said, oh, what you have brought upon someone else will actually happen to yourself. And I don't know. I'm glad he's saying it.

Why isn't anyone else talking about this on podcasts and stuff? Donald Trump literally falls asleep in front of the cameras. And no one cares. I'm so glad Hunter Biden's pointing out the hypocrisy. He was also said the following. And as it relates to Donald Trump, fuck him. Fuck his sons.

Fuck his daughter. I mean it. All of them. The whole family, down to the grandchildren. I hope for the, for, for the rest of time

that I am on this earth. Hunter Biden became Tupac out of nowhere. What's listening to that again? And as it relates to Donald Trump, fuck him. Fuck his sons. Fuck his daughter. I mean it.

something what would you expect me to say what would you expect me to say about a man that treats my father that way publicly what would you expect me to say about a man that treats my mother that way. They treats my sister that way. They stole her fucking diary and published it. Said my dad is a pedophile. Yeah. They were involved in that directly.

What would you expect me to say about a group of people that had the capacity and the capability to do that? They may think, oh, all is fair and love and war and politics. And, you know, like, you know, well, that's how you get power. Well, you know what? Fuck them. And fuck that. They have done the most awful things to my family.

Real men admit when they lose. And then they go on and they try to win again.

Obama, by the way, on the record saying the following about Donald Trump saying the following. Fauci said he received a supporter call from Obama as he faced, quote, crazy things that he, that the far right Republicans were saying about Fauci's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The attacks included Donald Trump Jr. selling t-shirts and sweatshirts with the slogan, Fauci kills puppies, tied to accusation that Fauci's National Institute of Allergy and infectious diseases had funded cruel research involving beagle puppies. This is Anthony Fauci speaking, saying, I told President Obama of the crazy things that the far right Republicans were doing, including the fact that Donald Trump Jr. had on his website the

sale of sweatshirts and t-shirts to collect money for his campaign, and on the t-shirts and sweatshirts, it said Fauci kills puppies. Fauci wrote on page 914 of the release files. Obama said that Donald Trump Jr. is a effing moron. He apologized for using crude language. but then went on to say that Donald Trump was a hopeless idiot who was a pathological liar. Oh my God. Doesn't that feel good? Why can't they just say that publicly, though? I like that.

It's very cathartic. President Obama, just say it out loud. We just need one clip. One clip could just turn a lot of things around. But I suppose if we really do want to turn things around, the way we're going to do that isn't through previous presidents saying the things we want to hear and the sons of presidents calling out the insanity. It's through elections. And that's why I'm just so grateful to bring you someone who is running for election right now in New Jersey. Sevener names of Rebecca Bennett. And I got the chance

You're a mama too, and you've taken the time out to be with us today, which I'm so grateful for. So thank you for being here. And welcome to the show. Well, thank you so much for having me on. I really appreciate it. Well, you're welcome. So you're running against Tom Keene, who, for those who don't know, you might not know his name, but I'm sure you're aware of what he has done,

or at least what he has not done, which he just disappeared from Congress. For how many days he was missing for 116 days, he missed 142 votes. Yeah. Do you know where he was? Where was Tom Keene? Well, and also he was trading stocks while he was gone.

Or is it Kane? Tom Kane? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, there you go. Yeah, I mean, he was trading stocks while he was gone the whole time. And the first thing he did when he got back was he held a fundraiser in D.C. with a bunch of lobbyists.

So I think, you know, what he told us is that he was hospitalized for depression and mental health care. It's health care. It's super important. I'm glad he's gotten the care that he needs. But, I mean, he's been filling this district way before he went missing. And, you know, I just hear from people all the ground on the ground all the time, just how angry they are that he's not showing up. He's not present. He's not delivering for us. And so it's about, you know, we need someone that understands the challenges we're facing. You know, I know you mentioned, I'm a mom. I've got two young kids. And so, you know, people talk about affordability and cost of living. But, like, that's my life.

Like, these are not talking points. This is my actual life that we're dealing with. And, you know, Tom K. Jr. is an out of touch multi-millionaire who just has no idea what actually people are facing. And so that is why we are going to fire him in a couple months. Now, and for those who don't know, you are a member of what we have labeled Keith's midterm cheat sheet. And there is a QR code somewhere here this whole time. you can just point your phone at it and you can donate to Rebecca's campaign. And the money on these congressional races can go very far.

So please do if you have the means, please do consider donating. But I also just want to say, like, you mentioned that people on the ground have noticed his absence. But like, truly, like, what are what is the overall sentiment of that? Because I have to imagine, like, you know, I got fired from the gap when I didn't show up once. Yeah. I was 16. The guy was like, you have to, he was like, he was like, I came into work after I didn't go into work the following day. And he was like, oh, you don't work here anymore. I was like, what? He was like, you don't come into work. I was like, oh, okay, I learned that

lesson. But like, I think we have to do that with the congressman too, right? But, but what are folks saying about that? Yeah. I'm, I have to say, I'm a little surprised you have to give at least like one freebie, you know what I mean? Like a little bit. I feel like you should get a warning before they're just like you're done, you know? So yeah. That's a good life lesson though to learn as a teenager. But yeah, I know, I mean, people are mad. I think that's ultimately what this comes down to is that people are really angry. They are mad.

But they're mad about what he was doing before. I mean, this is unfortunately just really an extension of how he's been in office because we actually, you know, he just doesn't show up. He's never done a public town hall in person. His entire time he's been in office. Like, people don't know where he is. They never hear from him. I've never seen him in person before. I mean, he just is not present.

And he does not show up. And so this is really just an extenuation of, you know, what we've seen from him in office this entire time that he's been there. But yeah. So I think that's that's that's why people are fired up and, you know, we're ready to flip the seat November. And yet he's he he he won I believe by 5.4% in 2024. So what, what are what what is the like what is the strategy to to do something different? Obviously, this is like an amazing year for Democrats and like we're expecting a blue wave. But like what like what like what is the like what. What are you thinking is the policies or the messaging that's going to flip over these voters who have voted for him in the past? Yeah, I mean, I think there's a couple of things here. So one, I think the Democratic Party for a long time has been anti-Trump. And I put anti-Kane in that bucket. And we have to be for something. We have to talk about what we can actually do to make people's lives better. And so the two things I've been talking about the most are tackling our cost of living crisis,

being able to bring costs down for things like health care, for child care, for energy prices. And also, we've got to get money out of politics. I think you can draw a line from the Citizens United Decision to where we are as a country. I've signed on to the End Citizens United Pledge. I think we need to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. I've already divested all my individual stocks because I think you need a practice like you preach. I'm not taking any corporate PAC money. And so I think it's about getting money out of politics, but just being really clear about what it is that we stand for to be able to create that positive vision. And then this district is basically a third, a third, a third, a third.

So it's about a third Democratic, a third independent, and a third Republican. And so the way that we're going to win is by, you know, getting our base engaged and mobilized and activated, which they're definitely ready to go and fired up. And we got to win over those independent voters and, you know, center-right Republicans, who I refer to you as Tom Kane senior Republicans. So his dad's the former governor of the state. And so it's about really being able to show that we can put together that coalition. You know, I was in the military for 15 years.

as a former Navy helicopter pilot. And that's how I've led my whole life, is country over party. And so for me, it's about showing that we're going to bring that new generation of leadership to Washington to actually solve the issues that we're facing and not just, you know, kind of the same old playbook.

Can we just double click on that for a moment? Because you said that you divested from your stocks. Now, I don't think a lot of people have, like what does that mean? What does that mean that you've divested from your stocks? Now, not a lot of members of Congress do this,

just to be clear. Yeah. But what does that mean? So what that means is that I used to have individual stocks as part of my investment portfolio. And when I made the decision, right, that like you could buy and sell and all right. Yeah. And some of it was just for fun. Honestly, it was like, oh, this is a cool company or whatever.

And some of it was, you know, my husband and I had a financial advisor. And so it was about, you know, we told them, we told them that we wanted to get rid. Basically, they were kind of managing that portfolio. And so I said, hey, I just want to get rid of all of my individual stocks. And so basically what that means is that we now have index funds and mutual funds and we don't own any individual stocks. And so, but I think that's, we shouldn't leave it up to the individual member. It should be a full ban for members of Congress because it's just insider trading and people shouldn't be able to do it. And ultimately, it's about, you know, we should be going, people should be going to Washington to serve all of us and not to try to enrich themselves.

Yeah. So you did that because you don't, you don't ever want, let's say you are invested in, let's say open AI becomes. a publicly traded company, you've got, you know, you're a member of Congress, you got $30,000 of open AI stock, right? And so you're, and so then perhaps you're making regulatory decisions that will directly impact how much money you do or do not make based on a vote or based on information you have heard behind closed doors. And so what you're doing is what all members of Congress should be doing. And I don't think they have the morality to do it on their own. So we should regulate it and ban it.

But it just shows to me that like, it's great that you're like, well, I'm just going to do it now because I don't think it's right. And so I'm going to do it now. I'm not going to make money off of the information I have or could have. And I think that's just a great sign to folks listening that you are, you really do practice what you preach. Yeah. No, thank you. I'll also add that's why I'm not taking corporate pack money either because I want everyone to know that when I'm in the room with the door closed and making the decision for the right reasons, then I'm going to come back and tell

everybody why I made that decision and then to be able to explain it. But ultimately, it's about, you know, what I hear directly from people on the ground and what matters most and that, you know, we're making the right decisions for all of us and not for not for money. And just to put an exclamation point out of it, folks, like not taking corporate PAC money is the right thing to do, but it makes it harder. It makes it harder to run for office because love it or hate it, money makes campaigns run. And so like when you're saying, I'm not going to be taking this money, you're really just like you're making, you're making the campaign have to work differently. And so that's why I just think it's so great that you're doing that. But that's why I just wanted to have this moment with you because folks need to know you exist.

You can actually win and flip a seat. And that if they want to get involved and help you, they can volunteer. They can boost you on social. They can hit like on this video. They can donate some money. But like you are doing the right thing. But let's make sure that you're. rewarded for it for folks meal to support you how they can.

And there's been, I don't know if you guys have talked about this on the podcast, but there have been Republicans that have been basically mucking around in Democratic primaries, and they spent over $650,000 in attack ads against me to try to keep me from winning the primary. So, you know, we know they're going to throw the kitchen sink at us, but what they don't have is they don't have the grassroots support of people that believe in this mission, believe in this campaign. You know, I'm very grateful. I've had over 25,000 people that have donated to the campaign.

And so it's all, you know, whatever you can do to chip in if you're watching this, whether it's, you know, helping us knock doors or phone bank or, you know, donate your time or your money. it all really matters and it's going to be all of us working together to flip the seat. And knocking doors, it's fun. It is fun. And by the way, it's not like you're knocking a door on a Republican House. You're just getting out the vote for the Democrats. You don't think you're going to be like having a debate with someone.

I always say it's like adult trick or treating because you basically get, I know you like, I don't know if you live in the city, but for us, several, several people, you get to see everybody's landscaping. And it's kind of like, oh, what are the deer not? We have a lot of deer issues around here. And so it's like, okay, what are the deer not eating? So anyway, I always think it's really fun. And there's obviously a lot of very nice people. You get to have some really good conversations.

So it really is fun. It's not scary, I promise. And we make it fun. We have stickers and stuff too. So if you guys come out, we'll have a good time. And it's a great way to meet people and to get connected to community. So please, if you want to volunteer, do.

All right. And the final thing is, like, you went to the Wharton School of Business, which sounds very fancy. That's a MBA. It's very impressive. Thank you. And can you please tell us, like, how does that? that impact your ability to fix like the cost of living crisis or like, how does that directly

impact your ability to legislate, would you say? Yeah. I mean, I think so one of the things when I, you know, I spent 15 years in the military, I went to Wharton, got my MBA and then I moved into healthcare and I've been working in the digital health and startup space. And one of those places I'm really passionate about is women's health, one of the companies I worked as a company focused on women going through menopause. And my role was building and leading these provider partnership organizations.

But, you know, just one story of the experiences I had talking to people. So we did a lot of work in basically rural parts of the country where there were just these access deserts and there weren't OBGYNs to be able to get women access. And so I met this 29-year-old woman who got thrown into early onset menopause and basically been searching for care for years and like had no idea what had happened to her. And we're able to get her one telemedicine appointment. And within 30 minutes, we're able to basically help her with her symptoms that she was dealing with. And so I think that is just an example of what we can do when we're thinking differently about how to solve these problems.

I think it's, you know, bringing private sector frameworks to be able to help address what issues we're dealing with. You know, I'm a very pragmatic common sense person. And so it's about how can we actually solve these problems with technology or other ways to be able to do things. And then it's about, you know, thinking differently and how do we make sure we're ready for the 21st century. But I think there's a lot we can do, you know, to bring best practices from the private sector into office to help make things work better. Yeah. I mean, I love that you said private sector frameworks. I don't even know what that means, but we need smart people in office that do, okay? Yeah. Private. Sounds right to me. Sounds right to me. Yeah. And by the way, she's actually going to actually show up to work. I will show up to work.

I promise. Yes, exactly. Yeah. All right. Well, Rebecca, is there anything else you want us to know? Anything else the audience should know? And there's only five moms with kids that are six right now in Congress either. And so I think, you know, I know. And so, you know, I think I talk about childcare quite a bit as an example because it's a crisis in this country and we're not doing enough to address it. And so I think, you know, being able to to bring new perspectives in. But yeah, I'm excited to be able to work on some of these problems. Thank you for having me on.
