Now, I'm going to walk you through some things that you probably haven't heard of, things about people actually doing good things, unusual to hear about. But it happens a lot. And we want to remind

you that there's still goodness in the world. And that's why we do Good News Friday. I have one piece of good news. And that is now if you might not be aware, but I was dealing with a mold issue in my apartment in New York. Turns out I did have mold. I hired an independent mold inspector. I didn't know those people existent. I'm going to tell you. I'm going to, we're going to throw up. I'm going to throw up the picture. Now I'm not, we're going to blur his face, but this man was attractive. I didn't know they made attractive mold inspectors, but they too. This man was so hot. I actually was beside, I texted. I was like, well, I was like, how was this happened? The mold inspector's hot. But anyways, he did a good job. He found mold. And I got out of my lease. I got out of my lease. And so I no longer have to live in a place that is making me sick. Wow. Look at that. Good news for me. Good news for me. So there you go. having some good news yourself. We're going to give you some right here in this episode first. Mack Lamar announced a free Palestine tour after he got kicked out of Ed Shearren's tour. Here it is. MacLamore is launching a free Palestine tour days after being dropped from Ed Sheeran's loop tour following pro-Palestinian comments he made on stage earlier this month. The American artist whose real name is Benjamin Haggerty says that proceeds from the tour, which begins next month in Dublin, will go to organizations. that support Palestinians.

MacLamore's comments and his subsequent removal from the show led Shearhan's support acts to drop out. Shearin stressed that the decision to drop McClure was made by his promoter, not Shearin himself. And y'all, you know I love a good animal story. Okay? You know I love a good animal story. Rare sea turtle lays egg and O.C. And first documented West Coast nesting. The turtles are getting busy in the O.C. Let's watch. This female sea turtle making history along the SoCal Shore. Our first ever documented case of a nest for an olive Ridley turtle here on the West Coast.

This is an highly endangered and protected species. Not one but two nests. The turtle first captured on a camera last week in Seal Beach, laying her eggs and carefully covering them up. Then a second sighting right in the heart of Huntington Beach. The turtle believed to be the same female laying another round of eggs and making her way back to the waves. Typically, they do it during the night. So this one's been a little bit abnormal in the fact that she came up during the day and kind of right as the sun was setting. So there's a, there is potential that there could be other nests that we do not know about.

Both nests now blocked off with warnings posted, each one full of 50 to 100 eggs. But it will be weeks before they could emerge if it happens at all. Temperature plays a big part in incubation, which takes 45 to 60 days. Thousands of olive ridley turtles gather every year in Mexico and Central America, to nest. Experts don't know if it's the warm El Nino waters that have drawn the turtles north, or if a recent hurricane blew them off course. Everyone now hoping these two nests will soon turn into historic California hatchings. Cautiously optimistic is we don't even know if these eggs are going to hatch or not. And so the only way we're going to find out is if we give them

that good opportunity. And so we're asking the public, please be respectful, give it space. So much hope and so many questions for the experts, one of the biggest, Could more turtles soon be showing up because of our warming waters? Okay. So maybe not good because of climate change, but also good because it's saving the turtles. So maybe it's like, you know, a little bit of the bad, a little bit of what they could. Take it. Did you know New York City has planted more than 18,000 trees?

It's true. It's true. We're doing what we can. At least New York's doing what they can to help fight the climate crisis. Here it is. 608 right now, New York City is getting greener. This morning, Mayor Mumdani and the City Parks Commissioner announcing the city planted over 18,000 trees in fiscal year 2026. This is the most trees planted since 2016.

Most of the new trees are planted in neighborhoods vulnerable to extreme heat like Morissani in the Bronx and Sunnyside in Queens. By 2040, the goal is to increase the city's tree canopy coverage by 30%. Now, here's the thing. Now, I think this is true. someone look it up i believe new york when they were making central park to save some money i believe it was either all male trees or all i didn't know that trees could be male or female that's not listen i could be so wrong oh my god i mean someone you stupid fucking idiot how do you not know but uh i believe that it's all one gender i think trees can have a gender i believe these trees in central park are all one gender

and they all release pollen. This is why there's so much, there's so, like I'd never experienced allergies in my entire life, except for when I moved to New York because the trees in Central Park shit out so much pollen. And my producer is giving me a thumbs up saying I was right.

Raccoon boot camp. It's fun. Welcome to Woodside Wildlife Rescue, where young orphaned raccoons find a place to heal and mature into well-rounded adults. It's really important for them to get a little bit of a head start. Paula Woodside here founded this rescue in 2019, bringing usually sick or injured kids

to this 20-acre property in Southern Mississippi. Come on, make good decisions. We talked about this. But hey, this ain't no resort. Members of the team like Raquel here run these boot camps to make sure the raccoons learn all the necessary skills to be released one day. Swimming, lots of swimming, lots of swimming and climbing. And it kind of get to know the terrain. And I would know a thing or two about baby raccoons learning to climb.

Let's go turn the camera around real quick. Oh, yeah, do that. Since during an interview in 2016, one climbed on my head. And then we became best friends. No. But in these parts, swimming is really a critical part of the car. curriculum in an area prone to hurricanes and flooding. Come on.

Look at that. So team members will often set up a series of kayaks in one pond and then by the end of that one or two hours that we're down there, they'll be jumping off the kayaks and swimming from rehab to rehabber on the kayaks and they're just having a great time. These guys will also learn how to dig for food and open up a pine cone and whatever else it may take so they can continue to beat the odds. In all actuality, they shouldn't have.

survived and they did. Now they're thriving. That's why we do it. And before release guys, the raccoon's final lesson is actually being trapped by a volunteer so they can learn to avoid traps in humans and ultimately pull away from their human rescuers. Raccoon boot camp does not mess around. Honestly, I do wish we could domesticate raccoons. They are very cute. They're very cute. Minus like, look at that. Look at that. We should just, we should figure that out. But whoever, yes, this is very cute story. And raccoons, raccoons, they're literally, literally. I mean, I've never, I mean, I don't know.

I've not really experienced many raccoons. I think they've run away. But wait, what am I trying to say about this? Raccoons, they get a bad rap. I'm glad someone's helping them out.
