Starting point is 00:00:39 Keith Edwards. Keith Edwards is the host of the Keith Edwards show, which goes live Tuesday every 7 p.m. He has, how many followers do you have now, Keith? 1.3 million on YouTube? That's not bad. It's not bad. It's okay. As a child of immigrants, get to 2 million.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Ed, Keith's talking about, you're not. You know, we're talking about the fact that, yes, Democrats, of course, much better than Republicans, not close. Democrats on most issues, slam dunk, you vote for Democrats. But we want to kind of peel behind and see how still folks, they're not really listening to the base because we just found out, Keith, I don't know if you saw this. apparently there's an upcoming Democratic position on AI that's coming out but the people who are writing it are all people who are paid by AI
Starting point is 00:01:38 No, no. Oh, God damn it. Yep, Hakeem Jeffries. There's like, ah, don't worry, we're going to come up with our position on AI but peeling back the curtain, all these people in part are associated with or are paid by AI.
Starting point is 00:01:56 And I got it right here. Give me a second. I mean, I just, just give me one second. Good job, the lever. Dave Sorota's website has this. House Democratic leader, Hakeem Jeffries, has stacked his party's U.S. House Commission on AI with lawmakers bankrolled by big tech donors.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Akeem Jeffries, five-member AI commission, is stacked with lawmakers backed by industry super PACs seeking to shape federal policy. And I don't know if you saw the Sienna polls that came out this week. More Americans trust Republicans to regulate AI than Democrats. Really? I don't see that. That's fascinating. 43 to 41. I will say, I do feel like Democrats are just dropping the ball on this. There's such an opening for a presidential candidate to be pro-AI regulation, anti-ice, you know, going after corruption.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I just, I don't see, I just, there's such an opening. I don't see it. Why? Why won't one prominent, Democrat, just be like, except for Bernie Sanders, who has come out strongly against what's happening, be like, we need to pause this until we figure out what's going on. But there's not been one, and then you have, I guess, I didn't know this, Hakeem Jeffreys is now just working, collaborating with AI companies. Like, hey, how would you, imagine a three-year-old, you're like, how do you want to punish yourself? More chocolate. Who's the adult? Got it. More chocolate.
Starting point is 00:03:25 it put it directly in my mouth. I mean, it goes back to the point that you mentioned, right? Is why aren't they just going nonstop on Mitch McConnell? Why is it you and me and others? Why is it Don Lemon? Why aren't they going nonstop? Are the Epstein files? Why aren't they going nonstop on AI?
Starting point is 00:03:42 Why aren't they going nonstop on, oh, I don't know, Israel's ongoing genocide? All these stories are coming together at once, right? Because, folks, if you've seen Mitch McConnell, Keith, like, this is my Mitch McConnell impression. Wait, you forgot the peace sign. I mean, he looks lost, man. It's sad. It's sad.
Starting point is 00:04:03 It's sad. Because I think it's projection, right? Oh, if we attack Mitch McConnell, then they'll start attacking all of the individuals that we have. Let's be honest. We don't want to be ages. But that probably shouldn't be retiring right now. But we'll stay there until death. I mean, I'm agist.
Starting point is 00:04:21 I'll say it. I'm agist. I do think past a point. sorry, you should no longer just automatically be able to work for the American people, 100%. CEOs, most big Fortune 500 companies have an expiration date for their CEOs. And so I think we could 100% apply that to what's happening here in the Senate. So I am, you know what? I know who else is Aegis? Mother nature. Mother nature is agist. Okay, there is a clock. Now, not everyone, not at Bernie
Starting point is 00:04:53 Sanders is doing great in his 80s. So no, not everyone, but I do think that past a point, we should be like, yo, just give up power. You can do a lot of work outside of Congress. You don't need to have the seat. And so I think it's just such an offense. Not only to, I mean, I was he going to say to Mitch McConnell's legacy, which is a huge offense, but whatever they wanted to do with it, this is going to be his legacy now. Same thing happened to Diane Feinstein. That was terrible. I mean, they literally wheeled her out. She was lost.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And that's why, right? Because Democrats realized, oh, the reason why we can't hit Mitch McConnell on this winning issue, like, where have you been, bro? Clearly you're not all there. You're the Senate, you know, a leader for the Republican Party. Oh, yeah, because we got dying fine. We got a whole bunch of people who should have retired. So let's not talk about it.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Wait, Wash, can I just, I can't, I'm not going to let it up. But like Scott Jennings had a 17-minute conversation with that man in July. He lied. Wide-ranging conversation about Iran. Apparently Mitch McConnell couldn't shut up about Teddy Roosevelt. Give me, can we swear? Can we swear? Yeah, you can say anything you want.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Give me a fucking break. Give me a fucking break. I cannot. Straight up. He lied. He should be fired from CNN for lying. They'll give him a raise. Scott Jennings lied. Republicans lied.
Starting point is 00:06:18 His aides lied. I mean, it's a massive scandal. Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot, but because the Democratic Party is unwilling to adapt, unwilling to change, and it's so wedded to literally, in this case, the old way of thinking, the old style of politics,
Starting point is 00:06:37 the old donors, like, ah, we won't touch Mitch McConnell. Same thing, folks with AI. Politico yesterday came out with a piece. I mean, literally they gave them, it's an 80-20 issue. Keith, people are not. now super radicalized on this. And then you got a massive gift with Anthropic and even Sam Altman and Dario of Anthropic, Sam Altman, open. And even Elon Musk last week are like, yeah, maybe he should
Starting point is 00:07:04 regulate us, you know, kind of regulate us. And then Donald Trump, I'm sure you saw it two days ago, he goes, there's no need for regulation. I'm a smart IQ, high IQ president. That's all the regulation you need. And then Mike Johnson yesterday is like, yeah, they can self-regulate, wide open lane. You got Trump and Mike Johnson literally contradicting these super villains who are telling you we need regulation. Take that lane. Who takes that lane? Ernie Sanders and Steve Bannon instead. Yes. Yes. Yeah, but I mean, this is, I mean, that's the thing is like I just don't understand what establishment Democrats are for. I kind of understand what they're against, I guess, which is Trump. Like we've got the message for more than in 10 years now, they've been against Trump. Doesn't really work because Trump is in many ways more powerful than ever. Certainly he is in decline and his base is starting to move away from him, but he's more powerful than he's ever been.
Starting point is 00:08:02 There's not much that Donald Trump couldn't do if you didn't want to, right? I mean, he's literally tearing down historical buildings with no oversight. So this man can do whatever he wants. And it's in my opinion, largely because of the Democrats' inability to, actually fight for something. They're very comfortable fighting against something. I don't think many of them were too upset when Donald Trump won because they just said to themselves, well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:08:29 We got two more years of good fundraising at least. And we can be against something. I don't have to actually put a stake in the ground for something we're for. I'm glad Bernie Sanders is at least showing some leadership. But I really do think that we have to be like AI is not going away. It's not going away. So we have to be thoughtful and we have to be strategic about how we have our conversation on the left around how we guide it into a safe direction that actually works for working people. And speaking about we have to address it about two days ago.
Starting point is 00:09:05 It was yesterday or two days ago Politico had a piece in which they said that Democrats realize they can capitalize on AI, but they won't hit it hard on the. midterms. Why won't they hit it harder in the midterms? Because folks, they're paid by AI. And thankfully, Dave Sorota's piece on the lever kind of literally traces the funding. And so this commission that Hakeem Jeffries has put together, oh, they're all bought and paid for by AI. I wonder if they'll be hard on this issue, which is an 80-20 issue. Another issue that they refuse to meet the base where it's at and instead spend all their money. time punching to the left. The timing is exquisite is Israel and Hassan Piker. And the majority of Americans now, independence and Democrats, say enough with Israel's genocide, enough supporting
Starting point is 00:09:59 Israel. We have the Ed Sheeran effect, which now replaces the stric sand effect. And you have Hassan Piker and Abdul Sidd and Mamdani, who have been saying, yeah, Israel's doing a genocide. So for months now, Democrats have been obsessed with Hassan Piker. So you would think, as all this has happening. You can attack Republicans on AI. You can attack Republicans on record diesel prices, gas prices. You could attack Republicans on Mitch McConnell. You could attack Republicans on, I don't know, being pro-Nazi. Keith, tell us what establishment media and Democrats are focused on today. They're focused on a Twitch streamer. A Twitch streamer. Again, this has been going on since April, by the way. So there we go. Yep, Hassan Piker in the news again, saying something that,
Starting point is 00:10:46 the way is, in my opinion, shouldn't be controversial. And he didn't say this. They took it. They deliberately took it out of context. Which is disgusting. Well, that's what they do. It's okay. I'm glad. I'm glad at least we have like a left wing media ecosystem that can call that stuff out. Like we're talking about it here. We're able to say, hey, this is like not true. It's not what he said. It's out of
Starting point is 00:11:06 context. But, but first off, I mean, I don't even want to talk about what Hassan said because it's just, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. But what he said wasn't wrong also? No, I mean, America has killed millions of civilians, millions. So, no, it's not wrong.
Starting point is 00:11:27 But what he said was during his interview, he was asked if he thinks America is worse than al-Qaeda. It was specifically when it comes to terrorism, pound for pound, as far as the number of deaths, yes, we have caused a tremendous terror all around the world. I think that it's not only terror that we're waging on regular civilians and nations in the periphery, but it's also having consequences on ourselves. It's having dramatic consequences on the home front and on and on. So when asked about like, yeah, who's committed more terrorism, sadly, tragically, he's not wrong. Like in the war on terror, which we just celebrated honored, if you will, the anniversary of all the 3,000 people who were killed by 19 foreign hijackers, folks.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Since the beginning of the war on terror directly, indirectly, 4.5 million people have been killed. And furthermore, look at the thousands of people that have been killed in Iran. Look at those girls. I was going to say, like, what do you think the Iranians think of America after that school was bombed? What would they call us, right? Yeah. So I understand his point. Now, listen, America's done good things.
Starting point is 00:12:36 We have done bad things. We've done good things. We've like, I believe we saved more than 26 million lives through our support of health. helping keep babies HIV free. Like, there's a lot of things we have done. We've given $190 billion in total funding to Ukraine since the war with Russia. Like, we've done good things. We've also done bad things.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Now, I would like to work towards being a country that focuses on doing more and more good, rather than spreading more and more and more violence. And we're not there yet. But I do think the thing that Hassan did is he's just holding up a mirror. And people don't want to look at themselves. not everyone. I'm comfortable with it because I feel like we can actually be a better society. We can be a better country. But at first starts at recognizing the things that we've got where we got it wrong. And it just feels like I don't understand. I don't understand this knee-jerk reaction.
Starting point is 00:13:29 We're perfect. We're perfect. How dare you? How dare you say things? And then you know, Democrats themselves wetting the bed saying, well, Republicans are going to use this against. I'm like, you piece of, you weak, factless. God. It's always prevent you have the same people coming out today. Oh, my God. Look, first of all, Axios, I mean, this is Axios, a news organization that deliberately misquoted their own interview with him out of context to create the rage bait. Then if you actually look at the context of the question, folks, the facts don't lie. Yes, America, sadly, tragically, my country has engaged in more terror in civilian deaths.
Starting point is 00:14:12 then the loathsome terrorist group Al-Qaeda. It's not even closed. Look at the sanctions. And I think, I don't know if you've ever seen that Madeline Albright quote, which is just like the worst quote ever when she was asked, the 500,000 deaths in Iraq of children. Was it worth it? Cameras on her face.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Yes, it was worth it. So we haven't even talked about the debts from sanctions of U.S. sanctions that have killed millions, right? But who the hell cares? It's Hassan Piker, a Twitch streamer, and you still got nearer Tannen and MS now and all these Democrats, instead of focusing on everything that I just said, said, you have to abandon Hassan Piker.
Starting point is 00:14:51 I think it gives the game away, based on everything we've said right now, right? Don't talk about Mitch McConnell's age. We've got old people here. Don't bring up the Epstein files because some Democrats are in the Epstein files. Support Israel's genocide because we get paid by APEC. be easier on AI because AI is giving us money
Starting point is 00:15:14 kind of drag our feet and kill this crypto bill but I don't know if you saw which is some good news, the Clarity Act but did you dig in the weeds the reason why they kind of killed they were ready. The 10 Democrats were ready to sign on with this pro-crypto legislation
Starting point is 00:15:31 but the reason why they killed it was because Republicans went so extreme they wouldn't even allow a vote on like basic ethics But if that wasn't there, 10 Democrats were perfectly fine voting for this pro-crypto bill. Do you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know, the same way you can skip an ad? I get it. I'm Siaiaa and I live in Ice Cove.
Starting point is 00:15:52 I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today, I'm still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better. Apparently, that's how I roll. So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride. Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC gem. Spotify advertising connects you with an audience that's engaged and ready to discover your brand. Launch a campaign with Spotify Ads Manager.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Wow. Wow. I mean, I just, I mean, crypto is just such a scam. I mean, that is something where I don't even understand how we have allowed that to happen. But it's not shocking to me. I mean, listen, this is the problem. This is the problem. But I feel like, I just personally feel like folks are waking up, you know? Yeah. We got Angie Nixon. Angie Nixon in Florida running as a Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, beating an establishment Democrat.
Starting point is 00:16:47 That's happened a duel. You know, I just feel like Democratic voters are, they understand. And it's so great that you have this platform and you're really just raising the alarm every day on like how things are bad and how we can make them better. because I do think that the establishment Democrats have coasted for a long time because there are a lot of folks, even me, even me, I was a good boy Democrat for a long time. Okay. And I was like, I'm the vote blue no matter who. Vote blue no matter.
Starting point is 00:17:17 And then I was like, when Donald Trump won again, I was like, this shit ain't working. I feel like I'm being lied to. I think I'm being led astray. And I kind of had a wake-up call. And I think there's a lot of pretty normie Dems who have had the same experience. where they're like, yo, yo, this party is not fighting the way we need to. We're not defending working people the way that we should be. What's going on here?
Starting point is 00:17:41 And so we're no longer listening to them when they're like, this is the person we need to vote for in the primary. No, no, no, no, no. We're actually going to vote for the person who you don't want. Can I ask you what was, like, you know, you said you were in Normie, what did it for you? What did it for you? Because I get hit now. You've seen me get hit.
Starting point is 00:18:00 I think you reached out to me also. I mean, they, oh my God, the Democratic establishment loads me. The right wing loads me. Maga loads me. APEC folks load me. Technophascists load me. And I say, wonderful. Know me by my enemies.
Starting point is 00:18:16 But why, when did you realize, yeah, this vote blue no matter who isn't going to cut it? I mean, for me, it really was a 2024 election. When I just felt like we did everything, I did, we did everything we were supposed to. to get Kamala Harris over the line and the Liz Cheney of it all, like the whole thing, right? And then even leading up to that, the fact that Joe Biden didn't listen
Starting point is 00:18:41 and his advisors didn't listen to the base in the polls in 2022 when they're like, yo, Democratic base thinks they're too old to run again. And yet they still did it. All those little things added. Yeah, all those things added up to me where I was like, this is not a party
Starting point is 00:18:57 that's actually listening to the people who support it. And so then I'm like, well, then why am I, why am I just mindlessly going with whatever the party bosses want us to do? I'm just going to start thinking for myself and start not only like listening to the people who watch me, but just start listening to what I actually think is right. And I actually think of anyone watching, like, you have a sense of what's right and wrong.
Starting point is 00:19:24 And so trust that, trust that. And when someone challenging, is that, that's good. But also always, always know that you have a, you have a pretty good sense. You might not know all the facts, but you have a pretty good sense of whether we're heading in the right or wrong direction. And I felt like after Kamala Harris won, the parties headed in the wrong direction. There is really no, and this too, this too really fucking kills me. There is no, there is no desire to look at what they did wrong. They did the autopsy. But they refuse.
Starting point is 00:19:57 And like, listen, I've been in therapy for way too long. I'm not going to say how long. I've been in therapy a long time. I can't imagine telling my therapist. Let's not look at that. No, no, no, no, no. Let's not look at that. That's not important.
Starting point is 00:20:09 We don't need to look at like that part of my history, right? How are you going to fix and become a better party if you're not willing to look at where things went wrong? So if you're not, then that's good to know. If you're not that type of person, then that's good. We're not going to actually support you anymore. We're going to get people in the party. who actually understand that things aren't working.
Starting point is 00:20:30 No, I mean, I appreciate that. And I appreciate, you know, it takes a lot for a lot of people say I was wrong or I've changed. Yeah. And I think, you know, for many folks, they're like, I let it go. I was silent on the genocide to help the Democrats. I thought they'd be better when it comes to AI regulation. I thought they'd be better with crypto. And look, I give credit where credits do.
Starting point is 00:20:53 It's not all Democrats. I try to be fair. No, no, it's not. But people say, shut your mouth. Hakeem Jervis is your future leader. You're going to sit there. You're going to take it. And I'm like, I think you're misreading the room.
Starting point is 00:21:07 I think you haven't read the room in a long time. Your own base is telling you they're done. They're done with establishment politics. They're done with corporate money. They're done with us supporting Israel. I want to help you win over the base. And instead, they're like, let's go attack Hassan Piker. We have more fire against Asan Piker.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Like literally today. You know why? Do you know why? Because he's effective. There you go. He's effective. I really don't think if not for Hassan's help. Abdul wouldn't,
Starting point is 00:21:38 I don't know if he would have made it to the finish line. I don't think so either. It was so close, right? He activates a completely type of voter that normally is not engaged. So that's one reason why they're doing this because they're like, oh shit, this guy has real power. And we've got to cut this. off now. And sadly,
Starting point is 00:21:56 it's sort of worked on some way. I mean, I know we're paying attention to Hassan more, but a lot of campaigns and candidates are keeping distance now. For better, I think, for well, even, I'll say he goes, I'm not going to campaign campaign. Yeah. They asked him about Hassan's
Starting point is 00:22:12 comment. He's like, I disagree with him on his comment about Al-Qaeda today. Even though if you look at the context, facts back up what Hassan was saying. Like, I'm sorry, folks. Yes, you, you know, it pains me. It's my country. United States has killed millions of people. It's not even close.
Starting point is 00:22:28 And that doesn't mean you sit there and go, United States is better than is worse than al-Qaeda. Of course, Al-Qaeda is a terrorist group. America is our country, but we have to be honest about this. But now, Abdul, I like how Abdul said. He's just a Twitch streamer. I'm running for a friggin' Senate. I'm going up against Mike Rogers.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I'm trying to go for affordably. So I'm glad that Abdul-sayed pivoted. But Simone Sanders right now said, literally on Twitter, she goes, Republicans are going to use Abdul-Sai, a Hassan Piker against Democrats and I had to correct her. I'm like, no, it's the Democrat
Starting point is 00:22:59 who weaponized Hassan Piker and made him into a thing. It's the Democrat. Yes, yes. It's not McMurro. There's a tweet from Neartanan from April that says, why are you guys trying to make Hassan Piker a thing?
Starting point is 00:23:11 Like, no one knows who he is. In April. And then it became Abdul versus Haley and they're like, wait a second. Let's make, let's make Hassan a thing. It's happening. right now, folks, because look, what, it's all connected. I want you all to step back.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Some people have asked me, why are you talking about Hassan? I've been saying this for months. I predicted it on the left hook. I said, Hassan Piker will be weaponized by the Democrats to attack anyone to the left. That's what they did. I said it'll be a stric end effect. The more they bring up Hassan Piker, he'll go more mainstream. The more people listen to him, it'll help him and Abdul.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Mallory McMurro will sink. Mallory McMurow sank. Abdul and Hassan went up. I said the more and more of the attack, it's very. because Hassan, Abdul, Mamdani, a few others, what unites them besides being brown Muslims? Anyone who's against Israel's genocide, anyone who calls out super PAC money infiltrating our elections,
Starting point is 00:24:06 and anyone who's actually meeting the base in progressive reform, right, taxing the billionaires, Medicare for all. That's the big threat. So you've got to take them out. And now speaking about that stricent effect, I think this personal controversy they're trying to gin up, I don't think people give a shit, Keith. That's my take on this.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I think people have moved on. What do you think? How much traction are you think they're going to get from the latest Hassan Parker controversy? I mean, I don't think it, I truly don't think this impacts any race at all. What's going to happen is that Democrats, if they're asked about it, are going to say that they're not even paying attention to it. They're focused on the issues related to their state or they'll just say, no, I don't agree with them. Like, there's no stickiness to it at all. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:52 And they're like, why the effing we talk about this guy? Diesel prices just hit a record high, man. Gas prices are high. I can't afford groceries. Democrats, what's your effing solution for affordability? We're going to take money from AI crypto and APAC and continue doing whatever Israel wants. So like, what? So I'm agree with you.
Starting point is 00:25:13 I think they have a fundamental misread of the situation. This is why they're freaking out because for five months, they're like, we told you don't vote for Abdul Sade. People voted for Abdulsaid. Last year, we told you not for vote for Mamdani. Mabdani, that was one of the most popular Democrats. I'm sure you saw that Siena poll. He's plus five nationally, right? And another microcosm of this, something that you and I are witnessing for the first time in our life is what I call the Ed Shearin effect. I'm Robert Kraft. I'm a pro Zionist, pro-Israel, pro-Megovillionaire. What I say goes, everyone kisses my ass. Jay-Z and Meek Mill presented me six years ago with a bull. Blue Bentley. I don't know if you all saw that video. I kept that received my back pocket. Tom Brady will be humiliated during his roast on Netflix. They'll mock him, his wife, his family, his children. He'll sit there and take it. The one small joke they do about me and my massage is Tom Brady will get up and tell Jeffrey Ross to cut that shit out.
Starting point is 00:26:10 That actually happened, folks. Tom Brady sat there for two and a half hours, got humiliated. Didn't say a word. The one Robert Kraft joke he gets up live on camera, he could see folks, goes, hey, cut that shit out. So I'm going to put my thumb on the skill, and I'm going to tell Ed Sheeran, I got the boys, and we're going to kick you off our stadium unless you get rid of a Maclemore because what he said about free Palestine, that can not be tolerated. Kanye West saying, hail Hitler, no problem. Nazis in the White House? No problem. Elon Musk promoting white supremacy? No problem. But you better get rid of Macamore. And Ed Sheeran, I haven't talked to you about this, being a coward, speaking about misreading the room, said, okay, boss, and now it's just hits after hits against. I mean, your take on this. This is remarkable. Well, it's a manual.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Normally, normally what happens is an artist will say something offensive. And it's the people who attend a concerts who say, I'm not going to go if he's there. That's normally how this happens. But it's the opposite now. They're trying to create a punishment for which there is no grassroots movement. And so that's why we're seeing this huge retaliation to the fact that what he said, most people agree with. Yeah, even just water's on Fox.
Starting point is 00:27:33 He goes, what do you say? He was like, all right. Yeah, I mean, I did not even see the speech. I just saw the reactions. And when I saw the speech, I watched it live, I was like, wait a second, that. That's what they're upset about. I'm like, maybe he did say something.
Starting point is 00:27:49 And I heard it. I'm like, oh, that's a really thoughtful. Yeah. He even acknowledged the Jewish people who are attending. This is not against you. You know, this is nothing but love. I just have a message of peace. And that is why you want to ban someone. And the thing is, they then organize all the other billionaires.
Starting point is 00:28:08 So it's like six people to decide whether or not an artist plays at your venue. And I think there's a huge retaliate. I think that's just so many conflating things about Palestine and Israel and how so many Americans don't want our money going over there anymore to kill more civilians, how folks understand that billionaires have way too much power and they're literally now limiting speech when it comes to folks people that play at venues that people want to see them at. And then Ed Shearin, I mean, listen, imagine, like, unfortunately or fortunately, like, there's no not taking sides anymore. You can't be Dolly Parton in this modern age, right? You have
Starting point is 00:28:48 Like, you already did take a side. You know who McLemore is. You had them on. Be more like Dolly Part and at least do something like, you know, like, I don't know, promote vaccination rights or reading. Well, yeah, but Dolly, Dali was very apolitical. She was. I mean, I don't know how she did it. She did it, right?
Starting point is 00:29:05 I don't think that can happen now. I think that's what Ed Sharon's trying to do. But unfortunately, you're already kind of, you're, if you're implicitly, if you're having McLemore on your tour, then you are, that's something valiant to be supportive of. I think what he, I think he's a brilliant artist and I think he says things
Starting point is 00:29:24 that not many people are willing to say who, who have that amount of money and access. So, but yeah, he, I mean, it's incredibly, is he even able to have a tour? Like, who's gonna go? Who's gonna go?
Starting point is 00:29:37 That's what I'm, yeah. Who's gonna go? His opening acts all, that's why I think this is so fascinating, folks, I want you all just to appreciate what's happening. Because something's happening that it's real time.
Starting point is 00:29:48 You're looking at a global cultural shift happening in real time, where Israel and its defenders have lost the culture, which means- Yeah, and they're losing their minds because of it, honestly. They're losing their minds because they've had 60 years of like, there's been 60 years where like Zionism has been kind of just unquestioned, right? And now they understand that they have power, they have money, but they don't have the culture anymore.
Starting point is 00:30:15 And this is a reality. reaction to that. He's like, well, I, well, fuck this guy. I'm not going to let him play here. I have the power. Well, okay, but you don't have the culture. Yeah. And once you, like I said yesterday on Pierce Morgan, once you lose the culture, you lose the youth. It's done. It's done. The genocide isn't done. The occupation isn't done. You lose the culture. You lose the youth. It's over. And instead of moving towards the people, I think what we're going to see is the Samson option. People are just going to bring it all down. All of it. You know, circle the wagons, band down. the hatches, whatever analogy you want to give, because that's what we've seen for the past two years, not just from Republicans and Christian Zionists, but also for many Democrats, like, we don't care. And I'll give you an example, Keith. Now, I'll let you go in a minute or two, is two weeks ago, Hakeem Jeffries, you know, after the controversy of him meeting Jared Kushner for affordability, if you believe that, I'll sell you an edge sheer ticket for five. Yeah, Jared Kushner in charge of affordability, okay. Sure. Sure, Hakeem. What does he do? A few
Starting point is 00:31:16 later, he appoints hardcore pro-Israel Hawks on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. That includes Jared Moscovitz, that includes Debbie Washington Schultz, and that includes Wesley Bell, whom APEC picked over Cory Bush. But something interesting happened yesterday. It might be performative, but it just shows you, I was shocked by this. In light of the McElmore of it all, top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee withheld support for a proposed $2.8 billion. million dollar munition sale to Israel paid by our taxpayer dollars.
Starting point is 00:31:51 There's no sale. It was a gift. New York representative Gregory Meeks, establishment Democrats, cited concerns about Israel's use in densely populated areas of Gaza and Lebanon and compliance with international law. Keith, that would not have happened last year. Last year, the word said, go after yourself. Take our weapons, Israel. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:11 There you go. I mean, that is, yeah. I mean, it has shifted. it is completely shifted. This is a, we went from, we went from, I'm,
Starting point is 00:32:20 I'm speaking. Is that what it Kamala Harris said? Yeah, I'm speaking now. Yeah. To that, you know, two years.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Okay. That, I mean, I hope everyone watch understands, that's very powerful. That folks feel like they don't have, you got, you have the power,
Starting point is 00:32:36 okay, we're still a democracy here. And what voters say eventually goes. And they're understanding that because of primary season. So I'm so that that's a very hopeful. Very hopeful.
Starting point is 00:32:48 It's look. The key thing here, folks, is peer behind the curtain. The same wizards are running the show, which is why they're kind of mom on AI, mom on crypto, still mom on Israel. But the fact you get even these performative actions, that's huge. It's huge. And they think that they can win in the midterms and keep business as usual. Keith, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:33:12 If they don't change in the next two years. It's the end of the Democratic Party. Do you think they're going to impeach Pete Hexeth? I don't think, I don't think Jeffries has the balls to impeach Trump. No. But I think they're going to try to go after. Well, Pete Hexed, they've looked at the polls and he has like, you just saw it. It came out yesterday.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Like nobody likes him. I think this is what they're going to do. I know people hate this. If we don't put pressure on the necks of Democrats, they'll go all in with AI. They'll go all in with crypto. they'll go all in with Israel. They'll go all in with Forever Wars. It'll be restoration, not transformation.
Starting point is 00:33:51 And what they're going to say is, you know what? It's time to let bygones be bygones. Let's move on and heal. And that's, I think, part of the reason why you had that meeting with Kushner. I scratch your back. You scratch my back. And that's what I've heard so far. The murmuring is that there's no appetite for true accountability.
Starting point is 00:34:11 They want to get in power, move on, go back to business as usual, go back to 2014. Well, I tell you right now, and I'm sure the people watching this are feeling that's not happening. Yeah, that's... Hell no. Hell no. Hell no. We need to completely remake this thing, and we're not going back anywhere.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Because, by the way, how it was back then, wasn't working very well either. Nope. So, I mean, I just think about we had the largest financial crash in a generation. and not one person got in trouble for it. In fact, we bailed them out with our tax dollars. That's the 2014 era, okay? The corruption has only gotten worse. So, uh-uh, we got to, we got to remake this thing.
Starting point is 00:34:57 We're going to, we're going to, whether they like it or not. But no, we're not making nice. Yeah, and to talk about what happens if they don't read the room, I'm going to have Jared Yates Sexton on because he's been worrying about this for a while as well. I kept you five minutes longer than I promised I would, Keith. Great conversation. Thanks for having me, man. I know you're super busy.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Shamelessly promote yourself. I have a YouTube channel, Keith Edwards. Type in my name. You can find it. And we go live every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Eastern for two hours. It's very fun coming out 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Starting point is 00:35:38 7 p.m. Eastern on Tuesdays. And Keith has. over a million YouTube subscribers. And, you know, last time I was on your show, and a few people were like, why are you going on Keith? I'm like, what? I don't know. I'm like, Keith, he's terrible.
Starting point is 00:35:52 He's this, he's that. He said this by Jasmine Crocker. I had no idea. Do you feel like now, because I still don't know what you said by Jasmine Crocker, but like, do you feel like now you're like, I'm a little vindicated. I'm a little vindicated. Listen, I always, I never even said anything.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I just said, all I said was I don't think she has a right strategy to win Texas. that's literally, if you dilute it all down, that's all it was, and it became you're a racist. Oh, that's what happened. Yes. All right, okay. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Well, guess what? You were right. And she's kind of... Can we say that one more time? Wait, wait, can you say it one more time? I like that. You were right. And I also had high hopes for Jasmine Crockett.
Starting point is 00:36:35 Me too. I got called the same thing. I was on Francesca show a couple of weeks ago. And Laura Coates, on CNN asked her like point blank hey will you like support or endorse talarico and she gave like we looked at the clip and i'm like this is not a good answer like she's like top down like bottom i'll i'll i'll help the bottom and we're like what are you talking about she like and then people are like she's not gonna she it's not her job she has like you know she's not uh like the uh you know all these other like
Starting point is 00:37:03 analogies she's that she you know she doesn't owe free labor to tal rico i'm like fine but like dude she has a powerful voice. Don't you want Talariko to win? And I think the ego and then also then giving that a word to Chris Brown. Oh, that was just the end of it. I think it's just shown that the ego, the wrong strategy. It's about me, me, me. And in this point, Keith, you know, regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity,
Starting point is 00:37:27 we just got to call it out. And, you know, and so that's what I thought. I'm like, really, Keith's racist? I think he just criticized her. But you were right about that. And I do hope. she comes around because she has a powerful voice. And I do think if she says, hey, folks, vote for Talariko.
Starting point is 00:37:45 I think it'll influence folks. So let's hope. I still have hope for her, inshallah. Very effective communicator, but some of the steps that she's taken right now, oof, not good. A lot of missteps. Yeah. Thank you all for watching.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Be kind, be informed. Don't be a fascist. I'm going to be back with Jared Yates Sexton. Keith Edwards is on YouTube. He's got a million subscribers. Make it 1.5 million. And there's a live show every Tuesday. Thanks, everyone.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Thanks, Keith. Thanks. Bye-bye.
