Donald Trump is in trouble. Mike Johnson knows it, and he's doing nothing to help it as impeachment
signs are growing larger and larger. TMZ is on it too because, as you know, the government
is only partially funded. TSA agents are not getting paid. Wait lines for flights are insane
just to get through security. And now TMZ has done this.
I want to talk to everybody in our audience right now.
If anybody goes to Disney World with their family for spring break or goes to a beach somewhere or anywhere on vacation,
and you see one of the 535 members of Congress, take a picture and send it to us at TMZ.
We will post that picture on our website, on our social media, and we will put it on our
television shows. We want to show what they are doing at your expense. And we want everybody to hear
that and we are waiting for those pictures. Well, TMZ's audience didn't have to wait very long
because immediately after they said that one picture came out saying this, here is Senator Ted
Cruz leaving D.C. as the government is shut down because if you don't know, the government
still shut down, Republicans and Democrats are leaving D.C. for a two-week vacation.
So for sure, we know at least for two weeks the government's going to remain unfunded,
and we're going to have long-ass wait times. I'm actually flying next week. And I think
I'm going to have to show up to LaGuardia Airport, three hours early, just to make my flight.
Just to make my three-hour flight. I'm going to be there three hours early. Government really
is working for us. This is what the government is what the government is like when it's
controlled fully by Republicans. It's insidious. Is it insidious? Is it insidious? It's insane. It's insane.
Republicans were like, oh shit, oh shit, we got to do something.
And look what they did late last night.
Senate passing a bill overnight to fund TSA and most of the Department of Homeland Security.
But the legislation excludes funding for ICE and most of CBP.
The Senate actually did the thing.
They passed a last minute deal to fund DHS.
Unfortunately, they forgot that MAGA Mike Johnson is someone still very much so in control.
and the House rejected DHS funding for TSA workers.
House Republicans on Friday angrily rejected a Senate-pass deal to reopen the Department of Homeland Security,
threatening to extend the agency shutdown that has crippled airports and a fit of outrage over the agreement.
Their own party struck with Senate Democrats to end the crisis.
After quickly assessing the compromise that passed the Senate early Friday,
conservative House Republicans tore into it in harsh terms.
They derided it for hewing too closely to the Democratic
position by admitting money for immigration and customs enforcement and border patrol, in other words,
ICE. The two agencies responsible for carrying out President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.
Here's what Mike Johnson had to say. House Republicans are not going to be any part of any effort
to reopen our borders or to stop immigration enforcement. This gambit that was done last night is a joke.
Senator John Thune, who is the Senate Majority Leader, said this was ridiculous. At some point, we all just
accepted that the internet comes with a trade-off. Convenience in exchange for our data.
Now, every time you create an account or sign up for something, you're actually leaving a
trail. And most of us got pulled into that system way too early, setting up email as kids
without thinking twice about what we are handing over. Now, fast forward to now, deleting spam,
unsubscribing from random emails, none of it's great. But with Proton Mail, you can reserve an

So we have Republicans not even able to govern amongst themselves.
But Mike Johnson, he's quite combative in the quotes.
He is really, you can tell.
stressed out. Mike Johnson is stressed. Here's how I know.
You and John Thune are not on the same page. You came out and criticized Democrats. He was the
engineer behind this. Why are you guys not on the state? And are you not extending the shutdown?
If you were to accept what the Senate had passed, this could end tonight and the TSA lines would
shrink. I wouldn't call John Thune the engineer of this. Chuck Schumer and the Democrats
in the Senate have forced this upon the Senate. I have to protect the House.
Let me answer the question, Chad.
I have to protect the house.
Oh, boy.
Oh, yeah.
Let me answer the question.
To protect the American people, that's our responsibility.
Our colleagues on this side understand this is not a game.
We are not playing their games.
These people want open borders and they want criminal, illegal aliens in the country.
They do not want to enforce the law.
They want to literally defund.
You just read it in the bill here.
They want to give zero dollars to enforcing federal immigration laws and keeping the border secure.
That was the biggest issue in the election of 2024.
the wide open border that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris hoisted upon the country.
And 20 million, by some estimates, 20 million dangerous criminal illegal aliens,
included in that number, came over the border.
We have terrorists in our country.
We have obviously murderers.
They're putting it on display.
And in these big blue cities that have sanctuary city policies,
they're releasing these people onto the streets.
They released them over the border when they came over under the Biden years.
And that is the turmoil that we're facing right now.
All right.
Well, here's what I want to say about all this, because obviously this is very dysfunctional.
This is government not working.
And we have reports that Donald Trump is signing an executive order to give money to TSA.
Now, it's not like he's creating some law to, like, give them money.
There happens to be money set aside from the big, beautiful bill that can be used to pay TSA agents.
And Donald Trump is just going to pull money from those funds.
It's not like he is appropriating money from our taxes.
It's a little complicated.
So he's not really breaking the Constitution when he does it.
He actually doesn't even need to sign an executive order to do it.
This is a whole roundabout way of saying that this is why fascism can look so attractive to normal people.
Because when government isn't working, when government is clearly not working for people and is actively harming us, making our lives harder, this is when it looks like, well,
you just kind of want to blow it all up.
Or you want to find one person who's willing to break the law,
break the rules to get stuff done.
Because the business of government is messy.
The business of having to make a deal and make concessions isn't fun.
It isn't easy.
But that's democracy.
And when that falls apart,
fascism, truly, fascism and authoritarianism
is the only thing that can stop gridlock like this.
So I'm not surprised that Donald Trump is just saying I'm going to fix it.
What's bad to me about all of this is that it looks like, well, the normal way doesn't work.
So let's, maybe we should try Donald Trump's way.
That's what's very scary to me about all of this.
But thankfully, Donald Trump's way usually does not work.
And his own voters know that.
We've got our data chief here, Harry Enton, joining us.
How are people feeling who are making 50K or under, which is going to,
considered, you know, from statistics, the working class in America.
You know, the working class, those making 50K or less, those making under 50K, were a big swing vote.
We're a big swing vote in the 2024 election.
Trump was able to win them.
That was a very important part of his coalition.
But look at this now.
Look at the net approval rating that he has with those making under 50KKK.
Down it goes.
Look at that.
That's a 26-point switcheroo in the latest average of polls.
Look at that minus 24 points.
The working class voters are abandoning Donald Trump.
Those who helped put them over the top in 2024 are saying,
you know what?
Not for me right now.
Look, the two big issues were the economy and immigration.
Poll after poll showed us that you would bring us,
that that's what people cared about whether they were working class or not.
So what is it this time that has really made people sour?
You know, to quote James Carvel,
it's the economy, stupid, or the economy's smarty.
I'm talking with you, Sarah Sime.
Nice try here.
Now, I try.
You know, I'm trying to suck up.
You know, but look, if you look at those who, again, making under 50K, who they trusted more on the economy back during the 2024 election, what you see.
You see that they trusted Donald Trump over Kamala Harris.
Look at that.
Holy shit.
Plus five points in this key group.
And now it's minus 31 approval for the economy for those who have a.
income under 50,000. Yeah. And that's why, as I said at the top, we are seeing that signs and the
probability of impeachment is higher than ever. Look at this huge-ass jump between yesterday and
today. It went up seven points. There is now a seven, it's almost 69% chance, almost 70% chance
that Donald Trump will be impeached again before his term end.
And the thing is, is with no support in his voters, and it looks like less and less support in his own base,
I don't know how Donald Trump could survive that.
But on the flip side, I suppose I wonder that if Donald Trump is impeached, if it would be one of the greatest political miscalculations if we were to do it, because Donald Trump loves to be the victim.
He loves to be the victim.
The problem is right now is Donald Trump doesn't have a foil.
There's Republicans in the Senate.
There's Republicans in the House.
They control everything.
He has a Supreme Court.
It's really hard.
I mean, we saw on that clip,
Mike Johnson's trying to blame Chuck Schumer.
Chuck Schumer's in control the Senate, baby.
It's John Thune.
So Republicans are usually best
when they're not in power,
and they just get to complain.
They're in power now,
and now they actually have to govern,
and they are unable to do that.
And that's why we're seeing
signs like impeachment going up as high as they are
because Donald Trump isn't governing.
His voters are pissed off.
And by the way, he's corrupt and breaking a lot of laws.
