Starting point is 00:00:00 All right. This is going to be an intense video. I hope I can condense this as much as I can. There's a lot to talk about. So we're just going to get right into it. So what happened is that a group of what are called young Republicans. Now, young Republican, I need, this is very important for the rest of this video. Okay. Young Republican in this context is anyone. This is politics. Young is anyone in this group from 18 to 40. And these young Republicans, many of whom are in their 30s and have actual jobs in politics, were caught in a leaked texting scandal where they would say things like, I love Hitler, or they would say things like everyone that votes know is going to the gas chamber, or you're giving national Jews too much credit in expecting the Jew to be honest, or they love the watermelon people, or this girl is R-worded, or they would say the N-word. I'd say black people look like monkeys, okay? That is, I'm sure you probably have heard about this.
Starting point is 00:01:06 So that came out and awful. And pretty much most normal Republican, normal Republicans, I don't know if that's a true thing anymore, but most Republicans who are in more swinging states or districts came out against it. And then came J.D. Vance. And that's what I want to talk about. J.D. Vance came out and did the opposite. it. He embraced it. But before we get to any of that, if you can please hit like on this video,
Starting point is 00:01:33 it helps more people see it. It's so important. And if you're not subscribed, we are getting so close to a million subscribers and you can help us get there quicker. Thank you so much. Now let's get to this. The vice president, I think he's a, is he the second highest ranking Republican in the country? Embrace texts like this. And I just want to put a fine point on this because there were more than 251 epithets like the R word, the N word, and the F word. In these text message threads. And here is what our vice president said about it. And he also was an interview where he talked about it more.
Starting point is 00:02:14 And so he said this. This is far worse than anything said in a college group chat. And the guy who said it could become the Attorney General of Virginia. I refuse to join the parole clutching when powerful people call for political violence. So he did a what about ism because what happened about a month ago is these text messages leaked from the Democratic side where the person who is running for Attorney General of Virginia was caught saying this. Or you're saying three people, two bullets, Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot. Gilbert gets two bullets in the head. Spoiler.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Put Gilbert in the crew, the two worst people you know. And he was 30 both bullets every time. Jay, please stop. Well, okay, okay. Todd Gilbert is a Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates in Virginia. Jay Jones should not have said that. In fact, I've denounced it on Twitter. I'll denounce it here. I think it was stupid. I also don't think a lot of Democrats kind of said he learned his lesson and it's okay. And they accepted his apology and they're still supporting. I don't think they should have done that. I think they should have just denounced and said that if he wins, he should resign.
Starting point is 00:03:22 You probably won't agree with me. But I actually think in order to become, in order to be a contrast to an immoral party, like we're seeing with these text message leaks, you have to be the party morality. And that means doing hard things like telling people who do something that is really wrong, saying even joking about the death of one of your political opponents, even if it's in a private message, not okay. Now, that is why J.D. Vance did a what aboutism. And we have a lot of comments now because J.D. Vance then dug in deeper.
Starting point is 00:03:53 made this a whole narrative and J.D. Vance said this on Charlie Kirk's podcast, I guess Charlie Kirk's not going away. I mean, I know he's no longer with us, rest in peace. But I guess he still has a podcast. And J.D. Vance was on it just to light this up even more. By focusing on what kids are saying in a group chat, grow up. I'm sorry. Focus. Now, he's going to keep saying these are kids. These are not kids. People in this group chat who said those awful things, one of who, was the chief of staff of New York State Assembly member Mike Riley, not a kid. Joe Maligno identified as a general counsel for the New York State Young Republicans and employed by the New York State Unified Court System.
Starting point is 00:04:38 He's no longer there because kids don't have jobs. Adults do. Will Hendricks was the vice chair of the Kansas Young Republicans. He held a communications position in the Kansas Attorney General's office. He lost that. Samuel Douglas was a Vermont. state senator. Also works at a real estate agent and has served as a crisis interventionist for mental health services in Vermont. And Bobby Walker also, vice chair of the New York State young Republicans
Starting point is 00:05:05 and had a prospective job offer with a congressional campaign, but was revoked. These are not kids. These are adults. On the real issues, don't focus on what kids say in group chats. But there's another angle to this that I just have to be honest about. I'm like an old guy at this one. I'm 41 years old. I have three kids. You know, we, we, I grew up in a different world, right? We're not most of what I, the stupid things that I did when I was a teenager and a young adult, they're not on the internet. Like, I'm going to tell my kids, especially my boys, don't put things on the internet. Like, be careful with what you post. If you put something in a group chat, assume that some scumbag is going to leak it in an effort to try to cause you harm or cause
Starting point is 00:05:47 your family harm. But the reality is that kids do stupid things, especially young, boys, they tell edgy, offensive jokes. Like, that's what kids do. And I really don't want us to grow up in a country where a kid telling a stupid joke, telling a very offensive stupid joke, is caused to ruin their lives. And it's again, again, these are not kids. These are adults. That guy, Peter, that I mentioned, saying things like rape is epic and saying the N-word and variations of racial slurs dozens of times, okay? Not jokes. Not jokes.
Starting point is 00:06:24 That's not really a joke anyone should be making. Rape is epic. At some point, we're all going to have to say enough of this BS. We're not going to allow the worst moment in a 21-year-old's group chat to ruin a kid's life for the rest of time. That's just not okay. Like we live in a digital world. This stuff is now Etzgen Stone online.
Starting point is 00:06:45 We're all going to have to say, you know what? No, no, no. We're not doing this. We're not canceling kids. because they do something stupid in a group chat. And if I have to be the person who carries that message forward, I'm fine with. Okay. Well, the internet rightly freaked out.
Starting point is 00:07:01 And by the way, one of the people they talked about, not positively in this chat, was J.D. Vance's wife. In one instance, Walker at the time was a staffer for Ort, talked about how a mutual friend of someone in the chat dated this very obese Indian woman for a period of time. Gions who responded that the woman was, quote, not Indian. And as Tim Miller said here, Jay Jones sucks and these boys should you love your wife, he said sarcastically. Matt Walsh also did What Aboutism, saying the Virginia AG candidate fantasized about murdering children and no Democrat at any level called for him and his right.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think that was so dumb again. Like, I think it was dumb. They should have just done that. And you probably will disagree with me if you're watching this. I just think if someone jokes about, even if it's a leaked text message, if we want to be the party morality, we have to actually back it up with our actions. But anyways, Matt Walsh said that.
Starting point is 00:07:54 And then many Hassan said they called rape epic in this proud Christian's responses to engage in what aboutism, of course. Here is Kathy Hochel's response with it. He thought was actually quite good. Everybody from the president on down should condemn them. Kick them out of the party. Take away their official roles.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Stop using them as campaign advisors. There needs to be consequences. This bullshit has to stop. I don't know what having Kathy Oakle, but she, I have been a fan of what she's been doing lately. And then someone translated what J.D. Vance wrote, saying translation, because a politician for the other team said something indefensible, I shall refuse to criticize something else indefensible said by my team is exactly the kind of moral cowardice and suffistry. I've come to expect from our VP.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Oh, and before all the trolls come in to explain why he's right, let me explain why he's wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right. And someone who refuses to condemn bigotry, even sophomore bigotry, purely for reasons of partisan loyalty and naked ambitions should be ashamed of themselves. Mike Sternovich, who I will be focusing more on this channel in a bit, said, young Republicans blowing off steam in immature group text isn't in the same universe as the powerful Democrat fantasizing about killing kids.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Couldn't give a crap less about that nonsense. Again, those were adults. Young Republicans actually denounce this, and then this got 8 million views, and most of the comments are people upset that they apologize. It's MAGA upset that the young Republicans actually apologize. Said someone here, Trump won, you don't have to do this anymore. Yeah, Trump wants you.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So you don't have to denounce racism and Naziism. Someone else said, never, ever, ever, ever apologize to people who you want you dead. No one wants them dead. No one wants them dead. Everything is so extreme now. This guy, Anthony Sabatini, said, what an ever. absolutely disgusting group of scumbags, these young Republicans who posted this are, they should be ashamed for the rest of their lives and they should be shamed for the rest of their
Starting point is 00:09:57 lives for putting out this tweet. Weak and pathetic people. It's the upside down. They're, they're mad because they did the right thing and said and condemned it. And then Milo, whatever you say his last name, and he, he, he, a gay man who became straight again, still gay, said, so let me get this straight. There wasn't a single heart R in the chat. That's effing despicable and the young man in question should be ashamed. Get your numbers up. Disgusting. And then I want to end with this. There was a Zoom call in a Republican congressman's office and they actually revealed a swastika. So this is not just a bunch of young Republicans blowing off steam. These are adults. It's manifested. And the problem's only getting worse. It's only going to. And J.D. Vance
Starting point is 00:10:45 knows this is wrong. He called Donald Trump Hitler, but he's trying to become president. And so he's going to defend this stuff because you know, this is actually the base of the party now, this sort of stuff. I'm grateful that I am not associated with any of this. I'm grateful you're not. And let's keep following it. I wanted to hold on doing this story until we had more information. I'm glad I waited because all this stuff kind of percolated up. But we will keep following this and see what other blowback we have. I mean, Trump hasn't really talked about it yet. And so do hit like, subscribe so you can see the next one. And I'll see you soon.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Bye.
