Starting point is 00:00:00 Baby, look how stressed out this woman is. She has stressed out. And good, good. Me too. Actually, no, I'm not stressed out. I'm in a great mood. The Trump administration is collapsing before our eyes and it's beautiful to see. And Caroline Levitt is left trying to pick up the pieces.
Starting point is 00:00:20 And she was asked a lot of questions. She didn't want to answer it. I have them coming up. Sorry, this is coming to you a little late. I just got back to D.C. from New York. And I wanted to bring this to you as soon as I got it. here. I just can we? I know you guys don't like going to do this, but I don't know how else I could talk about this. And I do want to show you this. This is so funny to me. I don't know. It feels like
Starting point is 00:00:46 the office or Veep. It's, uh, it's Melania Trump welcoming the Christmas tree to the White House. Please just indulge me. What did? Oh my God. That was so good. I'm so glad I did that. Okay, I hope you don't mind. Oh, you hope you don't mind. No, she hates Christmas. She hates Christmas. I know. Christmas stuff that, you know, who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration, but I need to do it, right?
Starting point is 00:01:40 Yeah. Who gives a fuck about crees me stuff? Okay. All right. On to the serious stuff. But, God damn it. God damn it. That was, that's like something else.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Okay. All right. Serious. Okay. Uh, a reporter asked. she asked about she was asked god i'm in a good mood she was asked about caroline
Starting point is 00:02:02 caroline levit was asked about Trump's wanting to still do h1b visas i want to ask you is it maga to support american workers being replaced with h1b visa holders are americans not capable of filling most of these positions
Starting point is 00:02:19 who supports getting american workers getting replaced i know the president mentioned that he wanted to bring in some workers that he can eventually send back in regards to... The president does not support American workers being replaced. You are mischaracterizing what the president said. The president wants to see our American manufacturing industry be revitalized better than ever before. Fact check.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Let's just go to the fact check. Here's what actually was talked about. We'll talk about it. And does that mean the H-1B visa thing will not be a big priority for your administration? Because if you want to raise wages for American workers, you can't flood the country with tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of four. of thousands of foreign workers. You also do have to bring in talent. We have plenty of talented people here.
Starting point is 00:03:01 No, you don't. No, you don't have talented people here. You don't have certain talents and people have to learn. You can't take people off an unemployment, like an unemployment line and say, I'm going to put you into a factory who are going to make missiles or I'm going to put people.
Starting point is 00:03:14 How do we ever do it before? Well, let me just, I'll give you an example. In Georgia, they raided because they wanted illegal immigrants. They had people from, from South Korea that made batteries all their lives. You know, making batteries are very complicated. It's not an easy thing.
Starting point is 00:03:31 It's very dangerous, a lot of explosions, a lot of problems. Anyway, you get the idea. So, yeah, he did phrase that correctly, that Donald Trump does not think Americans are capable of filling those positions. So there. Okay. Now, she was also asked about health care, and Donald Trump is in hiding because he got.
Starting point is 00:03:54 a bad ruling from a judge where they threw out both cases against James Comey and Tish James. So he's pissed off. He's seething. He's hiding. He was supposed to have an event today. They canceled it. It's around health care. And here's what she had to say about health care. Donald Trump wants to fix your health care. Jake, I know there's been a lot. In case you didn't hear that, there will there be an extension of the Obamacare subsidies in this proposal? A lot of reporting on this from yourself as well. Jake, over the last few days, I will tell you, that healthcare is a topic of discussion that's happening very frequently and robustly inside the West Wing right now. The president's very much involved in these talks, and he's very focused on unveiling a health care proposal that will fix the system and will bring down
Starting point is 00:04:46 costs for consumers. As for the details of the... Okay, great. Well, unfortunately, this happened. We're learning President Trump is planning to unveil a new health care proposal, and at this point we're still waiting to know exactly what's in it, but we're told it could include a temporary extension of the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies, which are due to expire at the end of the year. They were at the center of the government shutdown. However, the subsidies could come with some fresh guardrails that could include new income limits and a requirement that everyone pay some form of a premium. Now, we should note that if the subsidies do expire, millions of Americans are expected to see their premiums more than double next year. Zach Cooper is joining us now. He's a professor of health policy at Yale University.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Thanks for being here. As I noted, we are very much still waiting for specifics here. But I'm sorry, this has actually been, sorry, Zach, we're getting breaking news while I'm talking to you. I have learned that the White House has postponed. It's inspected unveiling of this new health care proposal. It was expected to be unveiled today. Beyond parody. This guy is kind of cute. Beyond parody. And this has been going on since when was this, 2020? me, you heard me yesterday. We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and
Starting point is 00:06:06 complete health care plan that the Supreme Court decision on DACA gave me the right to do. So we're going to solve, we're going to sign an immigration plan, a health care plan, and various other plans. Man, he seems like 20 years younger in that clip. Jesus Christ. All right, Caroline Leavitt also snapped out reporter because what I say, she is, the pressure is getting to her. And James Comey? Excuse me.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I'm answering a question. But you turned and looked at me. I'm sorry. I turned and looked at you because you're yelling. That's right. That's what we do as reporters. And then I'll take your questions. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Okay. Go ahead. That's April Ryan, who's awesome. Awesome. And that's right. That is what reporters do. They ask questions. They demand answers, as they should.
Starting point is 00:06:54 As they should. Now, Caroline Leavitt did have to shield or had to take questions on the James Comey indictment going away. Oh my god, did you see what was President Trump's reaction to those indictments against Comey and James being thrown out? Oh my God. Did you see that sigh? She is in it. What was President Trump's reaction to those indictments against Comey and James being thrown out? Uh, his reaction was, we've seen this. Lying, lying, lying. I can tell she's lying. She looks up over here.
Starting point is 00:07:27 What was President Trump's reaction? What was President Trump's reaction to those indictments against to hold me of James being thrown out. His reaction was, we've seen this before, we've seen partisan judges take unprecedented steps to try to intervene in accountability before, but we're not going to give up, and I know that the Department of Justice
Starting point is 00:07:45 intends to appeal these rulings very soon, if they haven't already. I may have... Go ahead and appeal it. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. All right, and then he was asked about whether that woman he brought on, who is completely unqualified to be a district attorney,
Starting point is 00:08:01 if he still has confidence in her. By Thursday. And then on the homie and James case, does the president still have confidence in Louisiana? Absolutely. He does to your second question. Okay, good to know. Good to know.
Starting point is 00:08:17 He has confidence in a woman who doesn't know what she's doing. That actually makes sense. It's the most truthful thing she said the whole day. All right, well, we are going to watch this as we do all things. Donald Trump is missing. Where's Donald Trump?
Starting point is 00:08:29 Where's Trump? I'm not mad though. I'm not mad about it. Thank you for watching. If you like the video, please hit like. If you're not subscribed, please consider subscribing. I'll see you soon.
