I do not know what happened. We are in the upside down because Jake Tapper was actually,
he was actually doing journalism today and he confronted Christy Knoem who could not answer simple
questions. And I also have for you, uh, Jacob Frye who I'm liking. I like this guy.
This mayor from Minneapolis, I think he's like the 46 largest city in the country. I like this
guy. All right. First, let's go to uh Jake Tapper who went super viral over his confrontation,
with Christ, you know, this is awesome.
You know, I'm going to call a spade to spade.
It's awesome.
Those are law enforcement officers being physically attacked.
By this standard, would any of those officers being justified in shooting and killing the people
causing them physical harm?
Every single situation is going to rely on the situation those officers are on.
But they know that when people are putting hands on them, when they are using weapons against
them, when they are physical.
I'm going to rewind it because I want you to see, there's like,
the moment where she understands she's fucked.
She's like, uh-oh, I don't know how to defend this.
People causing them physical harm?
Every single situation is going to rely on the situation those officers are on.
But they know that when people are putting hands on them, when they are using weapons against
them, when they are physically harming them, that they have the authority to arrest those
individuals.
The president pardoned every single one of those people.
And make sure that they're getting justice for their actions going forward.
President Trump pardoned every single one of those people.
And every single one of these investigations comes in the full context of the situation on the ground.
And that's one thing that President Trump has been so.
Let's just slow down that word's out.
Every situation comes in with the full context of what happens on the ground.
What?
She's, oh, man, she's just like, if I just say enough words, I can move on from this question.
Full focused on is making sure that when we're out there, we don't pick and choose.
which situations are in which laws are enforced and which ones aren't.
Every single one of them is being enforced under the Trump administration.
And the clarity of the law stands.
And if people don't like it, these members of Congress and elected officials should go change the law and make sure they have that debate and policy.
I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers.
Undisputed proof.
Undisputed evidence.
And I just said President Trump pardoned all of them.
And you said that President Trump is.
enforcing all the laws equally.
It's just not true.
There's a different standard for law enforcement officials being attacked.
This is awesome.
This is good.
If they're being attacked by Trump supporters, we just saw them.
This individual and these instances and these investigations all have to be taken and done
and done correctly in context of every situation that is happening on the...
I just want, editor, can you please just write out the...
I just feel like he's write out the text right now.
next to me here. This individual and these instances and these investigations all have to be taken
and done and done correctly in context of every situation that is happening on. It just doesn't make
sense. If they're being attacked by Trump supporters, we just saw them. This individual and these
instances and these investigations all have to be taken and done and done correctly in context of
every situation that is happening on the ground. So. Okay. All right. Sure. Why not? Okay.
But that was good. That was good from now. He went on. He
confronted, Christy Knoem for calling Renee Good, a 37-year-old mom and wife who was driving her car,
a domestic terrorist. You've also been criticized for your comments. The shooting, we should note,
was Wednesday at 1037 a.m. Eastern. Just over two hours later, the Department of Homeland Security
put out a statement definitively asserting what had happened, defending the ICE agent,
accusing Renee Good of domestic terrorism. That's a characterization that you reiterated in a press conference
half an hour later. Now, Republican Senator Tom Tillis said, quote,
it was very unusual to have a senior law enforcement official to draw a conclusion about an event
where the scene was still being processed. Generally speaking, law enforcement would recognize
that a life was lost, that families are changed forever, the shooter's life will change forever,
we're collecting video, we're trying to assess the situation. Why did you not wait for an
investigation before making your comments?
Everything that I've said has been proven to be factual in the truth. This administration
wants to operate in transparency.
I have the responsibility
as the Secretary of Homeland Security
to know this information as soon as possible,
had just been in Minneapolis the day before,
had already had conversations with officers on the ground
and supervisors and knew the facts
and decided that the department
and the people of this country
deserve to know the truth of the situation
of what had unfolded in Minneapolis.
Let me're to let Jake ask his next question.
Sounds like he's going to push back on her.
Let's just look up what demands.
domestic terrorists. Like, what is that? What is domestic terrorism? I'm quite interested in
know what the definition of that is. How do Christyneum know that so easily? Law enforcement
federal law defines domestic terrorism as violent criminal acts occurring within the United States
with the goal of intimidating or coercing civilians influencing government policy or affecting
government conduct through methods like mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.
I don't know if that's what she was doing when she was just trying to get away.
With respect, Secretary, the first thing you said was, quote,
what happened was our ICE officers were out in an enforcement action.
They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis.
They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them
and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle.
That's not what happened.
We all saw what happened.
It absolutely is what happened.
Those officers had been out an enforcement action.
A vehicle had been stuck.
They had come to help get that vehicle out.
That's when this individual started blocking traffic for minutes and minutes before.
You said that the woman attacked them and surrounded them and attempted to run them over and ram them with their vehicle.
Blocked the road for a long time and was yelling at them and impeding a federal law enforcement investigation.
That's what you need to focus on, Jake, is they were breaking the law by impeding and obstructing a law enforcement operation.
Even if you are impeding a law enforcement operation doesn't mean they get to murder you.
That's actually, so it doesn't even matter if that's what they were doing.
If her car was blocking ICE, then I suppose what they could have done is ask her to move.
If she doesn't move, they could arrest her, I think.
I actually don't know.
I don't know.
What I've read is that ICE actually has very specific things they can have forced.
They might not be able to enforce a car blocking the road.
That would be traffic enforcement.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure.
Certainly, what we do know is if you are in the way of ICE,
the solution for ICE is not, oh, let's just kill them.
They were breaking the law already,
and these officers were doing their due diligence
of what their training had prepared them to do
to make sure they were handling it appropriately.
You said within hours of her being killed,
you said that she was a domestic terrorist.
How do you define domestic terrorist?
weaponized her vehicle to conduct an act of violence against a law enforcement officer and the public.
How can you assert with certainty that she was trying to hurt the officer as opposed to
she was trying to flee the scene? If you look at what the definition of domestic terrorism is,
it completely fits the situation on the ground. This individual, as you saw in the video that we
released just 48 hours after this incident, showed that this officer was hit by her vehicle.
She weaponized it.
And he defended his life and those colleagues around him and the public.
Defended his life.
And he was so scared he was filming.
I mean, I'm not going to go through the video.
We've seen the video a million times.
But we know her tires were turning.
And when he was, if he's here and her tires are turning away from it,
obviously, she's not trying to hit him.
I mean, if that's what they're going with, I don't even say.
And she was asked about Renee Good being called a fucking bitch after he shot her three times.
That he's alive, too.
I want to play this moment from the officer's cell phone video.
Get out of the ball.
Oh, fucking bitch.
Is that Agent Ross's voice calling Renee Good a fucking bitch?
I can't determine which one it is, but it could be, sir.
Can't determine whose voice it is can definitely.
determine that's a domestic terrorist. Give me a break. Give me a break. All right. Now,
I like this guy. I like this guy. Not for nothing. Handsome individual. Handsome individual.
Now, I don't know why they keep asking this. It's like, like, they're trying to ask,
like, I got you, because I guess he said the F word. They're like, you brought the temperature up.
And ridiculous question, right-wing framing. First off, before we get to this to you, I just want to say,
Jake Tapper did a good job. That was a good job.
I wish we got more of that.
But when we see it, you know, I'm no Jake Tapper fan,
but that was actually incredible.
And if he did that all the time, I would like that guy.
We need more of that.
So thank you, Jake Tapper, for doing that.
That was super important.
What Kristen Walker does here is not helpful.
You told ICE, quote, to get the F out of Minneapolis.
We are now seeing major protests all across the country.
As you well know, I know that you've seen them as well.
Do you bear any responsibility as a local leader, Mayor Fry, to bring down the temperature right now?
Of course, I bear responsibility to bring down the temperature.
I was just thinking, like, wouldn't it be funny if he was just like, no, and by the way, fuck you.
That's part of my role as mayor.
And by the way, protests here in Minneapolis are peaceful.
We had, I don't know, 10,000 or so people that were protesting and marching yesterday.
and virtually all of it was very peaceful expression of First Amendment rights.
And, you know, to those that are offended, I'm sorry I offended their delicate ears.
But as far as who inflamed the situation, you know, I dropped an F bomb and they killed somebody.
I think the killing somebody is the inflammatory element here, not the F bomb, which I'm sure we've all heard before.
Amen. Amen.
And I love this thing. He said about how Minneapolis has actually been quite safe until I showed up and look at how he did it.
And the borders are says Minneapolis's sanctuary city policy just for our viewers that effectively shields undocumented immigrants from deportation makes it harder for ICE to enforce immigration law.
How do you respond to that argument that your city stance and eliminating cooperation with ICE has made it harder for federal law enforcement?
to safely enforce immigration laws in your city?
Look, what our policy says is that I don't want our police officers spending time working with ICE on immigration enforcement.
Because why? That's not our primary job. You know what I want our police officers doing?
I want them stopping murders from happening. I want them preventing carjackings.
And by the way, they're doing a hell of a job right now.
We've only had two shootings in Minneapolis this whole year.
And by the way, 50% of them were from ICE.
So I want our officers focusing on safety.
You know what I don't want them doing?
I don't want them spending a single second hunting down a father who just dropped his kids off at daycare.
He's about to go work a 12-hour shift who happened to be from Ecuador.
That guy, that guy, he makes Minneapolis a better place.
And I am proud to have him in our city.
So Jacob Frye, Jacob fry.
Cook him.
Cook him, Jacob.
I really like that guy.
We need more of that.
Whatever flavor of Democrat that is, I would like much more of it.
I'd like more of that, please.
All right.
Well, I don't know what's happening.
Jake Tapper is actually doing his job.
And we have Democrats that are pushing back in ways that I think are effective.
God bless.
