Hello, good morning. I cannot believe it's probably not going to be morning by the time you see this. But good afternoon. And I am so happy. I am so happy. So happy. We did the thing. We had a landslide victory. Democrats across the country showed up and showed out. And won over voters that they lost in 2024. It turns out when things get super bad, voters pay attention. Now Donald Trump, I have responding to this and he is going to, like I said last night, he's going to ramp up his attacks in our democracy. So we have to stay paying attention to that. But I want to get to some of the fun stuff first because Gavin Newsom, Gavin Newsom showed that the way you beat Donald Trump isn't by when they go low, we go high. It's by when they go low, we take him to hell. And here's Gavin Newsom taking

Donald Trump to hell. God damn it. God damn it. There's just a lot of. There's just, nonstop great content. Gavin Newsom also posted Donald Trump's own tweet saying too big to rig, which I actually think we should steal. We need to take for our own. He also posted this picture of him with Donald Trump. Ah, folks said this is Jay Jones, who won Attorney General. If you don't know, Jay Jones also wasn't a controversy over some leaked text messages. And here is what someone said, Jay Jones wishing death and ruined upon his political enemies and their families. Because I'm a stud. I'm palsy. I don't take I don't take no shit from anyone.

I smoke my stoke any way I want. I don't have to find a hide-out place like you. I want to show you, wait, where is it? I want to put this moment too. This from Zoranamam Dani is the energy. This is the energy that we are taken from today all the way to the midterms. This is the energy.

You're ready? Because this is none of us like high in, You know, this is a great day for... No, no, no, no, no. We got swagger now. We got swagger now. Here's what it looks like. So Donald Trump, since I know you're watching, four words for you.

Turn the volume up. I can be honest, I don't fully know what that means. I don't know. Does that mean, like, ramp up the insanity? I don't know. Doesn't mean that he's deaf? Like, he can't... We all know that Donald Trump has a trouble.

I don't know what that means, but I like... how it makes me feel. Okay, now we do have news about what Donald Trump told Senate Republicans about last night, and it was not great. Here is some video on that. Exactly one year ago, we had that big, beautiful victory. Exactly one way. Not expected to be a victory.

It was very Democrat areas, but I don't think it was good for Republicans. I don't think it was good. I'm not sure it was good for anybody. But we had an interesting evening, and we learned a lot, and we're going to talk about that and I'll say a few remarks and then after that I'll ask the press to leave. Yeah, so he says it was not a good night for

Republicans. It wasn't now. The new their talking point is while these are Democratic strongholds of course we weren't going to win. That is not what they were saying two days ago. Okay, they kept saying the polls are tightening. Trump endorsed Cuomo. They were saying that New Jersey was

going to swing red. So they were not pretending like these were Democratic strong. They thought they were going to win this shit and I really think they believe that. Now to everyone's credit, we had elections, people voted, and everyone accepted the results. And I hate that we have to just give a round of applause for that in today's America, but we do, and we're going to. I'm glad that we had an election and everyone accepted the results of the elections. It turns out when Donald Trump isn't on the ballot, the temperature is turned down. Now, Donald Trump also said, now this just sounds good to me.

This is what Donald Trump says we're going to do if we get back in power. And I kind of am like, I hope so. There's nobody else that's going to object. They're going to do it the first day. They're going to pack the court. They're going to make D.C. a state. And they're going to make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states.

They pick up four senators. Okay. You think you have problems? They're going to do all of the things. They're going to pick up electoral votes. It's going to be a very, very bad situation. And it's done. It's done.

As soon as they attain power, now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll never, they'll most likely never attain power because we will have passed every single thing that you can imagine that it's good and all good for the country. They're going to pick up a DC as a state, Puerto Rico is a state, four senators, they're going to pack the courts. That sounds great to me. Can we make that happen? I would love for that to happen.

I don't think the Democrats have it in them, to be honest. We should get rid of the filibuster the second we have power and we should do all of those things. 100%. Now, Donald Trump is trying to say. that as a means to say that we should make it so, as you can see here, they never attain power again. That is not how this all works, but here's what Donald Trump thinks that Republicans should do in the wake of all of this. It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do,

and that's terminate the filibuster. It's the only way you can do it. And if you don't terminate the filibuster, you'll be in bad shape. We won't pass any legislation. There'll be no legislation passed for three and a quarter. We have three and a quarter years. That's a long time. But when they can't do an extension, and John, I think they've done an extension every single time they've ever been asked forever. This is the first time they haven't done an extension. Extensions are supposed to be easy, but if they won't do an extension, they won't do any bill, even a simple bill. And we should do our own bills. We should get out.

We should do our own bills. We should open up. We should start tonight with the country's open. Congratulations. Then we should pass voter ID. We should pass no mail-in voting. We should pass all the things that we want to pass to make our elections secure and safe because California is a disaster. Many of the states are disasters.

But can you imagine when they vote almost unanimously against voter ID? All we want is voter ID. You go to a grocery store, you have to give ID. When you go to a grocery store and you give ID, has this billionaire president ever actually gone to a grocery store? It just sounds like he's cosplay as a working class. American, he has no idea. He has no idea what you need IDs for because. He's been rich and famous, basically his whole life.

Voter ID, by the way, could be a good idea, but unfortunately, not at something you can federalize. Kind of state by state. So all these ideas he could pass, even if they got rid of the filibuster, would be challenged in court and likely struck down. And then I'm not going to give you this whole sound, but Donald Trump says we need to abolish a filibuster because then it will be impossible to beat us. Yes, this is what's happening now. Donald Trump, as I said last night, Donald Trump is. is trying is going to ramp up his authoritarian attempts to take over our democracy. We're not going to let him. We're not going to let him. The American people are going to make

the decision on who leads us next November, not Donald Trump. And he will be soundly defeated. I look forward to that day. But let's keep the energy up from now until that day, until the midterms.
