Starting point is 00:00:00 Y'all, Gavin Newsom has made MAGA lose their minds. There is this new subset of MAGA called Woke MAGA. This is MAGA that is trying to get people canceled for not saying things exactly the right way. I thought MAGA was all about free speech and saying the things that no one else will say. Well, that's not the case anymore. I mean, look at this. This is an insane video I'm going to show you. But it all started because Gavin Newsom said, I'm like you.
Starting point is 00:00:27 First off, this quote here from end-wokeness, so funny that that's what it's called. Everything in this is a lie. Everything in this sentence is a lie. Gavin Newsom to a black crowd in Georgia, I am like you. I'm a 90-60 SAT guy. I can't read. Okay, that's not how quotes work. Unless that is exactly what he said, then if there is any change of the quote,
Starting point is 00:00:49 then you have to either say that or you can't just put a quote around someone and pretend like they said that because that's not even what's in the video. I'm not trying to impress you. I'm just trying to impress upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better than you. You know, I'm a 960 SAT guy. And, you know, and I'm not trying to offend anyone, you know,
Starting point is 00:01:17 trying to act all there if you got 940. But literally a 960 SAT guy. I cannot, you've never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech. It may be the wrong business to be. That was a long quote, and that quote became a lie. I am like you. I'm a 90-60 SAT guy.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I can't read. Okay, as we have just showed, that is not what he said at all. By the way, they called it a black crowd. I'm going to show you the cloud was very much so not black. But MAGA doesn't care about facts. I don't care about facts. In fact, facts are just,
Starting point is 00:01:59 in the way of them being able to say what it is they want. They just use this as a jumping off point to really just attack Gavin Newsom and attack him and they did. You might not like the truth, but I'll never tell a lie. Just when you thought that the Democratic Party couldn't get any more racist, Gavin Newsom said, watch this. Not trying to impress you. Well, Gavin, for the first time, we finally agree on something you are in the wrong business.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Absolutely, nothing says camaraderie. Like letting a black person know, hey, I'm just as dumb and illiterate as you. It's crazy. It's crazy. Sean Hannity said, Gavin Newsom thinks the 960SAT makes him like black Americans. Let that sink in. To which Gavin Newsom said,
Starting point is 00:02:42 you didn't give a shit about the President of the President Obama, calling African nation shitholes. But you're going to call me racist for talking about my lifelong struggle with dyslexia. Spare me your fake fucking outrage, Sean. Woo! Ow! Now, Tim Scott can't leave it alone. Tim Scott,
Starting point is 00:02:59 always has to weigh it in. He said black Americans aren't your low bar. We've built empires, created movements, outworked, out hustled, and outsmarted people like you, stop using your mediocre academics as a way to patronize communities. It's ridiculous. Now, as we've already shown, that video doesn't say what they say it says. And then secondly, I just want you to peep this crowd. That seems like a crowd filled a lots of different people. He wasn't like it had at an HBCU or something. You know, so it's also like he was just talking to a crowd of Americans. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:03:44 It's crazy. Some on the right are actually defending Gavin Newsom and are not buying the outrage. Brad Palumbo said, I'm not really getting the right wing outrage over this. It's kind of pandery and condescending, sure, but it's not a race thing. I have seen Newsom say variations of this. I'm just like you in many occasions to lots of different audiences. Someone else said, I'm just like you doesn't necessarily refer to race. He's obviously referring to regular people.
Starting point is 00:04:08 It's funny how rightists automatically associate blacks with low test scores and then think of liberals think the same way. They go out of their way not to think about this. This guy is, again, very conservative. Eric Erickson, again, not a leftist, not a progressive, not a liberal. Twitter has caused the rights to miss the Gavin Newsom story. Gavin Newsom was not telling a group of black voters that he was like them and had a 980 SAT.
Starting point is 00:04:31 He was trying to relate to white middle class people in a mostly middle class crowd. then he was going to a fundraiser for a candidate for governor who sparked her crime wave in Atlanta and was so bad at her job that she couldn't even seek re-election as mayor. Newsom doesn't have to understand how to relate to the middle class and chose to support a black female candidate in Georgia whose own majority of black citizens refused to support her reelection as a mayor of Atlanta. That's the actual story. Yeah. So again, as you can tell, this is not someone on the left defending Gavin Newsom. Now they also, I mean, again, look at this crowd. Look at that crowd. Okay?
Starting point is 00:05:05 this is someone on the left saying, did anyone actually attend this Gavin Newsom book signing in Atlanta? The crowd looked bare of bones and a Republican latched on said, Gavin Newsom can't read a room either. Look at all those empty seats. Unfortunately, that's not true. Like, as I showed you, like, the house was full. It's just, I guess, like, what I'm so, like,
Starting point is 00:05:26 what's just so crazy to me about this? I guess why am I still so shocked? But the lying is just so brazen. It's just so brazen. They just expect people to not watch the clip. They expect people to not look at the actual videos and photos of the event. Clearly, this was when the event was starting. It's just crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:47 It's crazy. Now, I gotta say, if MAGA is offended by racism, I'm happy to hear that. They could start with the White House. Here's John Ossoff explaining further. I was a speech a few months back by a senator from Missouri who's aligned with the president. And I think what I heard him say was that the, only real Americans are those descended from the original European settlers. Now, maybe he forgot the Mayflower itself was full of religious exiles, fleeing persecution.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But our heritage isn't limited to that of the pilgrims and those who settled the West. America's heritage includes the descendants of slaves who won liberation from slavery and Jim Crow. It includes the Creek Indians who lived in Middle Georgia for 11th century. It includes immigrants from every region and continent who arrived here fleeing persecution or seeking opportunity. Americans are not a race. We're a people. United not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions, and that is what makes us exceptional in a beacon to the world. How amazing is it that the most powerful nation on earth proclaims as its core values that all are created equal, with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter how humble our beginnings, no matter
Starting point is 00:07:18 our ancestry, no matter when we arrived on these shores. George Washington wrote, in 1783, America is open to receive not only the opulent and respectable stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all nations and religious. 1783. Atlanta, that's a legacy worth protecting. And I was thinking the other day, what would the founders think if they visited us today? Well, they would see that slavery had been abolished.
Starting point is 00:07:57 They would see that Americans without land and then women and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights. That American leadership and science and discovery had propelled knowledge and technology to unimaginable heights. They would see that the United States had been become the superpower that defeated Nazism and communism. They would see a pluralist democracy. People of all colors descended from every point on earth stitched together out of many nations
Starting point is 00:08:27 into one still the greatest hope for mankind. Damn. Damn, I needed that. That was like a shot in the arm. I'll see you next time. Bye.
