Starting point is 00:00:00 MAGA is pissed about Jimmy Kimmel being censored by the U.S. government. Can you believe I just said that sentence? MAGA is pissed about Jimmy Kimmel being censored by the U.S. government. Tucker Carlson is actually fuming about this. I have folks from Barstool Sports. If you don't know what that is, it's a right-leaning podcast. Well, it's a media company, but this is the clip I have as a podcast of right-leaning figures. You actually talk more about culture and sports, but they're talking about this.
Starting point is 00:00:28 And then also, Megate Kelly. Megan Kelly is not a fan of what the government is doing. Before we get into all that, I just want to say the analogy I can think of is if you go and see a movie, and the movie's not so great. Not a great movie. You end the movie, leave. You're like, yeah, that was kind of a waste of my time and I wasted my money. A couple of years go by and the sequel comes out.
Starting point is 00:00:48 So you think to yourself, well, I'm free Saturday. I'm going to go spend my hard of your money. I'm going to go spend two hours of my life watching this sequel. Turns out the sequel is even worse than the first one. Of course you do that. You knew it was going to be bad. Their first one wasn't good. That's what we're living through right now.
Starting point is 00:01:04 It's the worst sequel in American history. Only it's not a movie. It's real life. And these idiots who I'm about to show you knew it was bad. They sat through the first one. They said to themselves, a lot of them, when they saw the insurrection, we're like, never again. And here they are with popcorn in hand, watching it all unfold, thinking to themselves, not good. Well, let's just start with Megan Kelly, who had no good words to spare about Pam Bondi.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Are you going to crack down on hate speech? What the fuck? That is not a question that a conservative would ask. I don't understand what's happening there. And then for Pam Bondi to not say, whoa, whoa, sister, we on the right do not crack down on hate speech. We don't believe in that nonsense. There's this pesky document called the Constitution that doesn't allow it. But we don't even agree with it in principle was kind of extraordinary.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Yeah, it is extraordinary. But also, one has Donald Trump, the person who hired all these fools. ever get the impression that he cares about anything other than his own attempts to acquire more power and to a road. When has he ever showed any curiosity about our laws, traditions, the things that make us great? Megan Kelly, she went on to say this, which I thought was pretty funny. I gave her too much credit. That's not what she was talking about because she came out with an ex post this morning, Pam Bondi, and tried to say this, hate speech that crosses the line.
Starting point is 00:02:31 into threats of violence is not protected by the First Amendment. Yeah, it's stupid. But again, this is kind of what we knew this was going to happen. We knew apparently the only ones who didn't know are the people who voted for him. All right, here's Tucker Carlson, actually laying into the Trump regime for their unconstitutional attempts to silence our free speech. You hope that. You hope that Charlie Kirk's death won't be used by a group we now call bad.
Starting point is 00:03:01 actors to create a society that was the opposite of the one he worked to build. You hope that. You hope that a year from now, the turmoil we're seeing in the aftermath of his murder won't be leveraged to bring hate speech laws to this country. And trust me, if it is, if that does happen, there is never a more justified moment for civil disobedience than that ever, and there never will be. Because if they can tell you what to say, they're telling you, what to think, there is nothing they can't do to you because they don't consider you human. They don't believe you have a soul. A human being with a soul, a free man has a right to say what he believes, not to hurt other
Starting point is 00:03:44 people, but to express his views. You hope that. Help. Help Tucker Carlson's sounding measured. It's a bizarreo times. Bizarro, I'm agreeing with Megan Kelly and Tucker Carlson. And he actually put it really great. We have, this is the part of the country that I thought we all agreed on.
Starting point is 00:04:04 We're just, you're allowed to say whatever you want. Doesn't mean, I have to agree with it. Doesn't mean if you say you, I don't know, think Hitler had some, made some good points that you shouldn't face some consequences for that, but you're allowed to say it. You're allowed to say it. Now, again, we've shown that clip so many times. But Jimmy Kimmel didn't say anything wrong. He didn't say anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:04:24 He said that Maga's trying to make it seem like it's something that it's not. And that's exactly what they're doing. Do we really want to live in a world where the government can pressure companies because they hire people who don't say things exactly the way they want them to? Is that the world we want to live in? It's not the world I want to live in. Now, Pierce Morgan was like Jimmy Kimmel has celebrated endless conservative stars cancellations with savage glee. Because when Tucker Carlson got kicked off, he laughed about it. Now, that's a little different.
Starting point is 00:04:56 It's a little different. Here's many Hassan pointing out why. Parker Carlson, I can't say that name, Tucker Carlson, was fired after a violent racist text came out during the Dominion trial. No one in the Biden administration pressured Fox into firing Carlson. And three, there is no both sides to the current and brazen GOP authoritarianism. Good point, good point. We'll just let that one sit right where it is.
Starting point is 00:05:19 And then we also have here, like I said, I didn't know this guy existed. Sorry for not knowing every single media figure that exists in the podcast landscape. But the Kirk-Minahan show, was kind of telling it like it is. And I'm glad because these are the folks who need to hear it. People like me, my hope is that eventually we create this space where lots of different types of people will watch. But certainly if you're watching this,
Starting point is 00:05:40 you're more likely than not a pro-democracy individual. Folks who listen to Barstool Sports and shows like this, need to hear this sort of message here. I always do the left. No, right now in 2025 at 1006 on September 18th, the extreme right are the biggest group of pussies that has ever existed in America. bunch of because people with with green hair at Starbucks because once in a while a fucking guy swam against girls you fucking pussies have broken in half led by the duo of uh of domo
Starting point is 00:06:14 Trump and consequence culture portnoy who is just waving his arms at the right to like him again after the thing last week where he said it was Trump's fault privately publicly that uh charlie kirk died now he's like I got to get them back I got to get them back I got to get them back Typical, I will say, fits the tri profile. What's also fascinating is that that guy that he's talking about is his boss, Daypoint, right? So, and I'm just going to end with this because here is FCC chair, Brendan Carr saying they're going to go after the view, which by the way, the view air today. We didn't talk about the Jimmy Kimmel stuff at all. So even they're being silent on this.
Starting point is 00:06:50 So I'm going to end with this clip. Please, this is so important. They're coming for anyone and everyone who does not totally. the regime's talking points, but we're not going to do that here. So if you are with me, please do hit like in this video. Do subscribe. But they're not, they're not lying. They're coming for us all.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Here they are saying they're coming for the view. And I'll see you next time. Bye. Jimmy Fallon and Seth Myers at NBC. Just wondering, do you have comments on those shows? And are they doing what Kimmel did Monday night? And is it even worse on those programs, in your opinion? Well, if you can be unfunny, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:07:30 And a lot of people are sort of saying. that, well, people are punishing Kimmel because they don't like a joke that he told. But, you know, we don't need to rehash it here. But obviously what he said was not a joke. It wasn't presented at all that way. But when you look at these other TV shows, what's interesting is the FCC does have a rule called the equal opportunity rule, which means, for instance, if you're in the run up to an election, you have one, you know, partisan elected official on, you have to give equal time, equal opportunity to the opposing partisan politician.
Starting point is 00:07:59 So far so good. But there's an exception to that rule called the Bonafide News exception, which means if you are a bonafide news program, you don't have to abide by to equal opportunity rule. And over the years, the SEC has developed a body of case law on that and has suggested that most of these late night shows, other than SNL, are bona fide news programs. And potentially, I would assume you could make the argument that the view is a bona fide news show. But I'm not so sure about that. And I think it's worthwhile to have the FCC look into whether the view and some of these other programs that you have still qualify as bonafide news programs and therefore exempt from the equal opportunity regime that Congress has put in place.
