Our recent breaking news, Mitch McConnell has been released from the hospital.
Many updates on that.
We also have some senators being asked about Mitch McConnell's whereabouts.
And interestingly, about all of this, there's absolutely zero video evidence of Mitch McConnell.
I'm sure he's being, or being told he's being released to his home.
So I'm sure that someone somewhere is going to get video of the senator.
And we will bring that to you when we get it.
But as someone wrote here, McConnell was discharged today, but won't be coming to the Senate this week if he had returned to vote.
He could potentially have been deciding 50th vote to rescue Todd Blanche's nomination.
Lisa Murkowski and Bill Cassidy, who both voted to convict Trump of inciting insurrection, have power to block Blanche.
No cabinet pick has been defeated in a Senate floor vote since John Tower in 1989.
So let's hope that crazy bitch Mitch stays at home.
I hope you get well, but not too soon.
But let's just hope that he doesn't recover.
I don't think he's recovered.
Listen, I don't think Mitch McConnell understands what's going on.
I don't think he has a sense of what's happening.
I don't even think he knows what day it is.
But let him recover slowly.
And let's have this vote without.
without him having to be there.
And it would be really nice if Todd Blanche did not get through,
but something tells me he will.
Now, this is what his team released.
Lots of information, as you can see here.
Earlier today, it was discharged from the, it's so crazy.
It's in the first person.
Isn't it?
Like, he's writing it?
Do you think Mitch McConnell is writing this statement?
Earlier today, it was discharged in the Rehabilitation Center
to continue my recovery at home, Elaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support
from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I've received from
excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff on the advice of my doctors.
I'll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state of work
period, and I'll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business.
I guess. All right. If you're well enough to go home, where is the video? Can you not say this on video? And if you cannot, why not? It's not making sense. It's not clicking. Someone noted that here. I'm once again asking why we can't see him say any of this on video. I'm sure there are many other sentiments.
it's saying the same thing. Mitch McConnell says, nah, posted video of him saying this or it's
bullshit. Someone else says, all the do something yellers look pretty silly right now in many such
cases. Someone else says, but can't release a video. Yeah. It just doesn't make sense at all. There's
more reporting on this year. Mitch McConnell is voting, but he's still on medical leave. This is what's
really, I don't know if this is illegal, it should be. But Senator Mitch McConnell wasn't at
the Agricultural Committee's markup of the Farm Bill Thursday, but the Kentucky Republican was
casting tie-breaking votes on partisan issues. Yet his absence is why the bill did not advance
to the Senate floor. McConnell, who hasn't been seen in public for almost two months while on
medical leave, voted by proxy on each amendment presented during the meeting. Committee rules
allow absent senators to authorize a senator who is present at a meeting to cast a vote
in addition to his or her own.
Chair John Boosman of Arkansas said in his opening remarks
that he spoke Wednesday night with McConnell,
who approved his use of proxy votes as Bozeman votes.
Quote, I know how much he would have wanted to be here
to advocate for Kentucky's farmers rural communities.
I mean, they're really just spitting in our faces, aren't they?
So he's well enough, supposedly,
to talk to Boosman about a vote.
he's well enough to have 20-minute conversations with Scott Jennings, John Thune,
but he's not well enough to make a two-minute video to talk to his constituents.
He can only release a couple of pictures over the course of two months and written statements.
And yet, there are people making hundreds of thousands of dollars working in his office,
and he's still able to vote by proxy.
And I truly do not know whether or not he's directing these decisions.
And if he's not, then we demand to know who's making them.
Goes on to say here, some senators vote by proxy while in and out of the meeting.
McConnell was the only committee member to not appear during the meeting.
By Senate rules are different when it comes to a vote to advance the bill to the Senate floor.
when proxy votes cannot make the difference in successfully ordering a measure or matter reported to the Senate.
Both McConnell and Tommy Tuberville voted by proxy in the final vote, so the bill was not advanced to the floor.
The committee is in recess and could come back later Thursday, but the outcome won't change unless Democrats change your votes or McConnell makes a surprise appearance.
Do you have any expectation of McConnell making a surprise appearance? Of course not.
here's Tommy Tuberville talking about Mitch McConnell's delay.
We don't know.
Somebody please tell me what we're going to vote on.
I hadn't heard yet.
Right.
But with all these votes, McConnell's still out.
Do you think it's going to be an issue, like with the Blanche confirmation and some of these other bills moving them across?
Probably why some of them will be pushed to the later date.
You don't put one up unless you got to votes.
So I thought we might do a reconciliation.
It's hanging on by thread.
You don't try to do a substitute for the military.
But I don't see.
Clarity Act, we've got to do that.
They're talking NIL.
I mean, that should be bottom of the list right now
because that won't start until next year.
And are you surprised that there's no video or anything from McConnell,
like a video statement or something to show his condition?
He lives next door to me.
But he's still in the hospital.
I mean doing rehab.
That's all you know.
Have any other answer?
No, me either.
Yeah.
Coach Jack him.
Doesn't know anything.
Now, Senator John Thune was also asked about this, and here's what he had to say.
Mr. Leader, do you want to see Mitch McConnell put out a video of some sort?
What's that?
Put out a video?
Mr. McConnell?
Has he?
No, should he?
Well, I think that's up to me.
Sir, so do you think McConnell needs to put out some sort of video to show this condition to the public?
McConnell? Oh, again, that's a decision between him and his staff. Have you visited him in the hospital?
Isn't it weird that no one's visited him in the hospital? They all have such reverence for Mitch McConnell.
They can't stop by to wish him well. Now, as I said, this senator says he spoke to Mitch McConnell,
even though he's been missing. Before I begin my formal comments, I would like to recognize my friend and
colleagues in her Mitch McConnell, who continues his recovery and is in his own.
able to join us at today's business meeting. I spoke with Senator McConnell yesterday. I know how
much he would have wanted to be here to advocate for Kentucky's farmers and real communities
throughout his career. Senator McConnell has been a steadfast champion for the bluegrass's
So we're going to keep following this. I mean, the second we go to photo, I'm going to bring that
to you or video, but he's no longer
he's no longer being cared for in private.
He will have to go home.
And I'm sure there's
probably tens of cameras waiting outside for him.
And we will bring that to you as soon as we get it.
This doesn't make sense.
And if it doesn't make sense,
that means someone somewhere is lying.
And I'll see you soon.
