Starting point is 00:00:00 We got some breaking news. Kara Lyon Levitt was at the White House podium, and she had to defend a lot of the indefensible, and I don't think she did a very good job. I do wonder how the cross on her body does not just burn through her skin, the things that she just said. And she was asked about Donald Trump, who, by the way, has not been seen since Tuesday and has absolutely no public events today and has just been tweeted. We don't even know if it's him. So Donald Trump is missing during a very important moment in our country because the government is shut down.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Here's Caroline Levitt, though, trying to change their narrative in saying this about Portland. President Trump will end the radical left's reign of terror in Portland once and for all. The president has directed Secretary Hegeseth to provide all necessary troops to protect war-ravaged Portland in any ice facilities under siege from attack by Antifa and other left-wing domestic terror. I don't even know where to begin with this because war ravaged Portland. Are you in Portland? Will you let me know if it's war ravaged? Does it look like Ukraine in Portland? Does it look like Gaza in Portland? Or does it just look like an American city? It's absolutely insane. And troops necessary for what Antifa? They're just making stuff up. We're not going to have to make stuff up. And certainly we're not going to focus on this too much. I don't know what that's going to look like.
Starting point is 00:01:30 sending troops to Portland. I believe this is really the first time they're sending troops to an American city without any preconceived notion for why. I mean, at least in D.C., they're technically allowed to do it because they have ownership over this district. But with L.A. that was under the guise of the riots, I don't know. This is really an escalation of what's happening with sending troops into American cities. And we're going to keep following it. Caroline Levitt was also asked about Antif about journalists going undercover as Antifa. Right. And there have been so many incredible independent journalists across the country who have gone undercover within Antifa and really have come to understand how this is a growing
Starting point is 00:02:13 domestic terrorism threat inside of our country. And I would encourage maybe some of you in this room to get outside the Beltway and go do some of that undercover investigative reporting because I have I where does it Antifa meet? Where does it meet? Are there chapters? Is there a website? How do you donate? Who is the leader of Antifa? Antifa feels like this thing they've just made up like unicorns or it's just, it's absurd to me. And I don't know if it's working outside of the right wing media ecosystem, but they're certainly using it effectively to start doing things that they've always wanted to do that are authoritarian in nature, but I don't know one. I am pretty far left. I don't know anyone who is
Starting point is 00:03:04 Antifa. Not one person. I know who people, I know people who are anti-fascist. I'm sure you're an anti-fascist. I'm anti-fascist. Am I a member of Antifa? No, but I do identify as anti-fascist. Now, she was also asked about the mass shootings that have been happening, and this response is absolutely absurd. She was asked if Donald Trump still supports the Second Amendment. Yes. We've seen this fate of gun violence in this country boost mass shootings. We've seen this Michigan church that was attacked, children being shot in pews in Minnesota. We've also seen politically motivated assassinations of Minnesota lawmakers, Charlie Kirk. Has any of this made the president or the White House rethink gun safety prevention in this country? Either red flag laws.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I know that that was a conversation in the first. Trump administration or is there anything on the table right now on gun by? Of course, this is an extremely pressing issue for the administration in our entire country. It's deeply alarming to everyone here, the violence that we've seen taking place all over the country, the assassinations that have unfortunately tragically taken place throughout the last several months. There are many discussions about how to prevent such violence and how we can ensure that law enforcement has the resources they can on the ground to not only respond, but again, to prevent such tragedies from taking place.
Starting point is 00:04:25 If there are red flags with an individual in the community, that they are treated as an emergency, a public safety emergency, not just turn a blind eye to. There's many other things we can do. But the administration and the president has always also made it clear. He's always going to protect the constitutional right, Second Amendment constitutional right of Americans. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I, of course, they're going to defend the Second Amendment more than our American lives. I think something that's this thing about today is incredible, and this is part of the problem. This is why it's so important that you like and subscribe this channel, because do you think if it was a left-le-wing activist who did the unthinkable to that Mormon church, which happened, I believe, on Sunday, it's Friday? Do you think the right-wing media ecosystem want to stop talking about it? do you? I think it's all we would have been talking about.
Starting point is 00:05:25 In fact, I think all of the media would have been talking about it. But because there is no real, there's no real left-wing, I don't think ecosystem in the same way they have in the right. We can't control the narrative in the same way. And this is part of the problem.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Because it is a big deal. But we need to make them answer for it. And having small questions like that at the podium isn't going to do it. We need to be, relentless. And I know that if this would have been on the other side and the perpetrator would have been perceived as left wing, Maga wouldn't have let up. But it just feels like the left doesn't have the ability to control the narrative. And that's a big problem because
Starting point is 00:06:09 when it comes to the things we're seeing right now with the shutdown, they get they kind of get to control what this is about. And we're trying as we can to push back. But But they also have people asking them questions like this. They just have propagandists and the press pool now. I have a question. This week, the Democrats have chosen illegals over hardworking Hispanic Americans during Hispanic Heritage Month, causing the White House to cancel the celebration with the president. Is the president open to letting the Hispanics who overwhelmingly voted for him, have
Starting point is 00:06:49 their own siesta fiesta in the White House lawn opposed to the fancy, you know, we don't need fancy smancy, right? You can give us the backyard and we'll fill it all in and have in our own fiesta. Is the president open to that? I had no idea she was going to ask that question. I just want to preface that. I've never met you. I just want to say that, but welcome to the briefing room. I love your energy. I can't personally, unilaterally promise the South Lawn grounds. We have some construction going on out there. But I do think that you. think I know that everyone here views it as very unfortunate we had to. Oh, it's just appalling what has happened to her.
Starting point is 00:07:28 It's appalling. Now, I want to just show you this moment, too, because she was asked about the fact that Hakeem Jeffery says that Donald Trump is in the presidential witness protection program because he hasn't been seen since Tuesday, and here's her response. Caroline, Hakeem Jeffries has said that President Trump is in the presidential witness protection program since the shutdown has begun? What's the White House's reaction to that? That's just more ridiculous fodder from Hakeem Jeffries. As you all know, because you're here every day, the president is literally working around the clock right now. I think he has a swearing-in
Starting point is 00:08:02 ceremony or he already did. He has several meetings on the books today. He literally works 24-7. Anyone who works in this place or covers this place, as you all do, knows that to be true. And Hakeem Jeffries and the Senate Democrats should get back to work in a few minutes and vote to reopen the government. I don't think posting memes on the internet is really working. And if you don't have any public events, it makes me wonder. It just makes me wonder, where is he? I want to see his hand when he gets out, when we finally do see him again.
Starting point is 00:08:36 If we see him again, maybe we won't. But if and when he gets out, I want to see his hand. Because my guess is that Donald Trump is doing something medical right now. That is my guess. Here's Levitt line about fiscal responsibility. Then I go fat check. Fat check. I got a fact check.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Thanks, go. Two questions on the shutdown. You've argued that these impending layoffs are necessary to keep essential services up and running. But that has never been the case in any previous shutdown. Even when the government was shut down for 35 days in Trump's first term, you've never had to lay off thousands of workers to keep essential services up and running. So why are layoffs now necessary? in this shutdown. Because we have an administration and we have a president who are wholeheartedly focused on restoring fiscal sanity to our government and doing the right thing by the American
Starting point is 00:09:27 taxpayer. We are 37 trillion dollars in debt and the federal government is currently shut down. There is no more money coming into the federal government's coffers. And as you've also seen since the beginning in January, this administration... And she's going to go lying. Well, they're the administration and president who wholeheartedly focused on restoring fiscal sanity. Well, that's interesting because the one big beautiful bill cost $3.4 trillion and more than $4 trillion when accounting for additional interest owed in national debt. So, liar. It's a real, it's just a disgrace you wear that cross. It's a disgrace. All right, well, we're going to keep following this. We're going to hopefully, like, where's Trump? Where's Trump? Hashtag where's Trump? We'll find out soon.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Thanks for watching. Like, subscribe, and I'll see you next time. Bye.
