Starting point is 00:00:00 James Tayloriko, who we've actually interviewed on this show. If you haven't seen that, please check out the interview. But he is going viral for exposing the hypocrisy on the right. And to me, giving the message that we so desperately need to move forward in this country to unite us rather than divide us. And I want to just show you the difference between what James is saying here versus what the right has done and says. And I don't think we should talk ill of the dead, but I do think that we cannot ignore the things that Charlie Kirk has said, especially at a time when the right is trying to whitewash the worst things he said, which were a plenty. And here's just one of them, because remember, Paul Pelosi,
Starting point is 00:00:51 Nancy Pelosi's husband was attacked brutally with a hammer, the dead of night, someone intruded in their home, and he almost died. Here's how Charlie Kirk. handle that. And why is he still in jail? Why has he not been bailed out? By the way, if some, if some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to really be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out. I bet his bail's like 30 or 40,000 bucks. Bail him out and then go ask him some question. That's who Glenn Beck is calling a civil rights hero. Donald Trump said this. We'll stand up to crazy Nancy Pelosi who ruined San Francisco. How's it? How's it?
Starting point is 00:01:35 husband doing by the way anybody know and then here is what Erica Kirk said days after her husband had been assassinated the evil-doers responsible for my husband's assassination have no idea what they have done they killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism faith and of God's merciful love they should all know this. If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world. You have no idea. You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.
Starting point is 00:02:45 On a human level, I feel for her. I do. Some of you who have watching know this about me, I lost my sister to murder. Someone strangled her to death. And losing someone you love is hard. Losing someone you love at the hands of someone else when you were not expecting it is even harder.
Starting point is 00:03:10 And so I don't. On a human level, I feel so much. empathy for her. But, and what I'm going to show you with what James did, is she makes a choice here to use her pain to inflict pain on other people. That is her right. I remember when my sister died, I don't think the death penalty exists in Pennsylvania. Someone can look that up for me.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Actually, Keith, Pennsylvania has the death penalty but hasn't used it since 1990. But I remember thinking, even if that were an option, that I wouldn't support it. Because the deep grief that I felt, I did not want to wish that on anyone else. And I personally believe that pain just creates more pain. I think we have to stop the cycle of pain. And just because I'm feeling pain doesn't mean that I should then wish that same pain on other people. The only way that we can stop pain from multiplying is by trying to be a source of change. So she's trying to multiply her pain to the evil doers, not sure who that is.
Starting point is 00:04:34 But here is what James Tolariko, a pastor who's running for U.S. Senate in Texas, said. And I wish this would have been her message. There is something broken in America. Our economy is broken. Our political system is broken. Even our relationships with each other feel broken. That's because the most powerful people in the world want it that way. My faith teaches me to love my neighbor as myself.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Not just my neighbor who looks like me. or praise like me, or votes like me. I am called to love all of my neighbors like I love myself, because despite our differences, we all want the same things. A safe neighborhood, a good job, a quality, well-funded public school, and the ability to see a doctor when we need one. But the billionaires who own the social media algorithm, rhythms, who own the cable news networks, who own the politicians fighting on our screens,
Starting point is 00:05:57 they want us at each other's throats. They want us focused on how we're different instead of on how we're the same. I am tired of being pitted against my neighbor. I am tired of being told to hate my neighbor. It's been more than 10 years of this kind of politics. Politics as bloodsport. Politics as professional wrestling. It tears families apart. It ends friendships, and it leaves us all feeling terrible all of the time.
Starting point is 00:06:36 There is a deep hunger in this state and in this country for a different kind of politics. Not a politics of hate, not a politics of tribes, not a politics of division, but a politics of love. A love that can heal what's broken in America. And when it comes to the larger accusations of the right, how they try to make trans people, Muslims, immigrants, the enemies. James said this. That is what we do.
Starting point is 00:07:21 We fight for the many against the powerful few, whether it's billionaires, whether it's bullies, whether it's bigots. And you know, the more I see what is happening in this state and in this country, the more I think the only minority destroying America is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. Muslims are 1% of the population. Undocumented people. 1% of the population.
Starting point is 00:07:53 We are focused on the wrong 1%. Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Muslims aren't defunding our schools. Immigrants aren't cutting taxes for themselves and their rich friends. It's the billionaires and their puppet politicians. The culture wars are a smokescreen. So many of the divisions in the state
Starting point is 00:08:17 and in this country are manufactured by billionaires who want us fighting each other instead of fighting them. They want us looking left and right at our neighbors instead of looking up at them. The biggest divide in our politics is not left versus right, it's top versus bottom. The people at the top, the Elon Musk's, the Rupert Murdochs of the world, they work so hard to keep us angry and divided because our youths, is a threat to their wealth and power. So their social media algorithms and their cable news networks,
Starting point is 00:08:58 they tear us apart. They divide us by race, by gender, by culture, by religion. They divide us on a regular basis. It's the oldest strategy in the world. Divide and conquer. They want us to be afraid of immigrant moms and gay kids so that we don't realize that they are abolishing the Department of Education.
Starting point is 00:09:20 gutting our health care and cutting taxes for their donors. They want to keep us from seeing all that we have in common. They want to keep us from realizing that there is far more that unites us than divides us. Because once we do, we will come together across race, across gender, across culture, across religion, to take power back for ourselves and our communities. And he's not wrong. He's not wrong. This is something that the billionaire class is trying to do. They're trying to keep us separated because it makes it easier to control.
Starting point is 00:10:01 The more divided we are, the easier it is to control us. And here is Elon Musk showing that he wants the peasants to fight, but obviously not him. Violence is going to come to you. You will have no choice. This is a, this is, you're in a fundamental. situation here where you where whether you choose violence or not violence is coming to you you either fight back or you die you either fight back or you die and that's the truth today Elon I think we're I think the British public are telling the world that they're
Starting point is 00:10:42 ready to fight back good yes that's despicable what Elon must say said, it should, in a normal time, it would be, he would become a leper. No one would want to do business with someone who talks like that. I want to create a world where that's possible. I want to create a world where that sort of rhetoric, though it can be said, there are consequences for being said, not consequences from the government, consequences where he's no longer allowed to be in polite society. But I think that's something we can work towards,
Starting point is 00:11:26 and my hope is that people like James are giving us the pathway there. So thanks for watching. If you like this video, please hit like on the video. If you're not subscribed, please consider subscribing. I'll see you next time.
