Starting point is 00:00:00 Nancy Mace is not okay. And she is making her staffers post about her body on the internet. That is what this really, really disturbing article that dives deep into Nancy Mace and her many dysfunctions has to say. Now, she's actually come out against this saying that a lot of it is untrue. And the thing that she said wasn't true was very quickly to be shown to be a lie. I mean, there was just like tons of video and picture content that showed that Nancy Mace lied. Let's get right into this story. First, it says here, as it says here, Nancy Mace is not okay. And this is quoting many of her staffers, which the New York, New York magazine talked to on background or off the record.
Starting point is 00:00:50 And they said this very bluntly, she's not okay, one former staffer said. There's nothing here I can point to and say, oh, This is normal. Another person said she's deteriorated and it sucks. She's also reportedly shed much of her staff and torched her relationship with President Donald Trump. And of course, this is all on the heels of Nancy Mace at the airport, loudly cursing and making derogatory comments to police about the department.
Starting point is 00:01:26 And she reportedly stated that. they were, quote, effing incompetent, and that that was no way to effing treat a representative Wired actually reported on this saying Nancy Mace curses, braids, confused cops, an airport meltdown police report. Now, Nancy Mace subsequently went on CNN and said this was all fabricated, but there was a subsequent investigation into this incident, and they found it to be verifiable. It also says here that because of all of this strange bizarre behavior, I know that airport story was kind of a blip on the internet nationally, but I guess that was like a two-week, three-week long drama in South Carolina.
Starting point is 00:02:16 And because of that, her polling slipped. Nancy Mace, who is running for governor of South Carolina, has seen her support decline roughly 15. 50% month over month, meaning that she has support around in the 20% range. And it says here that Nancy Mace is the most unlike candidate for governor of South Carolina. I mean, that's quite the feat, isn't it? And that's all because of that report about Nancy Mace berating confused cops in an airport. And it goes on to say here, Nancy Mace has her staffers by her alcohol.
Starting point is 00:02:56 During her first term, staffers say Mace would command them to bring her liquor after midnight to keep parties going at her home, which is technically an abuse of her staff according to House rules, says one staffer, quote, Look, when I worked for her, our poor scheduler was getting calls at 2 o'clock in the morning to come bring her bottles of tequila. I have worked with people. I have employed people. I cannot imagine. Ever. Ever. Ever. someone up at two in the morning so that they're going to buy alcohol and bring it to me. Isn't that why Uber Eats exists? Like that is just such a, it's honestly abusive. It goes on to say here that she had AIDS clean multiple properties that she was renting out for an Airbnb. And on an election night, for example, Mace instructed AIDS to spiff up her $3.9 million home in the aisle of Palms for a watch party. I mean, I mean, and these staffers,
Starting point is 00:03:54 they go to D.C. They go into government to help their communities to get involved and they're being used as maids and delivery people. It's absurd. It's absurd. It's not even the worst. Mace
Starting point is 00:04:10 allegedly instructed a staffer to go on Reddit forums about the quote, hottest women in Congress to boost her standing in the rankings and comment where needed. Mace was very adamant about getting the staffer to upvote any posts about the Congresswoman and her attractiveness, according to a second former
Starting point is 00:04:29 staffer. I actually did some research around this, and I went to go see, like, do any subreddics exist that are something like this? And I did find one that says, hottest women in Congress seems good. And then someone says, here, I love Lauren Bobert. Someone says here, love a woman that speaks your mind and doesn't give it F. and then someone here Nancy Mace
Starting point is 00:04:56 has a massive rack to which one person four hours ago, I'm sure after reading this article said, which staffer are you? Stafford said we were scared of her. She would make staffers cry. She would threaten to fire them, take their money away, and not give them raises,
Starting point is 00:05:16 not to give them days off on religious days. The closer you got to Nancy Mace, the harder she messes up your brain. A different former staffer told New York, magazine. It's a classic story of never meet your heroes. Now, one staffer actually alleged that Nancy Mace would drink excessively. And Nancy Mace actually responded to this. And here's what she had to say about it. I just want to ask only because it was mentioned in the piece, did you
Starting point is 00:05:45 ever ask your staff to make those late night liquor runs or clean your properties? Absolutely not. Never in either case. It's sort of silly. Like, all these things are provably false. Like, if you have an Airbnb, you usually pay a cleaning crew hundreds of dollars, if not more, every week to clean it. I mean, it's just really silly. And anyone who knows me, I don't, I go to bed very early. I'm almost 50. I'm in bed by 8.30 or 9 every night. No one's been over to my house after midnight. Like, you just can't, and these things are provably false if you looked at, like, my security system and that kind of thing. It's silly, and it's a lie, and it will not stop me from being governor of South Carolina. I
Starting point is 00:06:25 by the way. Polling says otherwise. Now, they went on to say this about her relationship with Trump. But they brought up your relationship with President Trump saying it was somehow damaged. Can you describe your relationship with the president? I have a great relationship with the president. And we have spoken from time to time over the years. I have his cell phone. I talk to his staff, this assistant. Sometimes I talk to him. When I need something, he's always been there. I talk about it in November as recently as November when I had a constituent stuck in a Bosnian prison. He helped get her out a couple hours later. I had another young woman in Virginia who needed brain surgery desperately. He and Dr. Oz helped.
Starting point is 00:07:09 All right, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You have the idea. So Nancy Mace is saying, no, no, no, Trump and I are fine. Now, what's really interesting is in this reporting. Nancy Mace apparently is an insane person, but at least sticks to her guns because as we know that Nancy Mace did not side with Trump on the Epstein files and actually voted to have them released. The president was calling her to change her vote in the discharge position for the Epstein files, but it didn't matter. Nancy stuck to her position and she voted to have them release. And that apparently is why a source close to Mace told New York Magazine that she realizes, despite what she said, that she probably lost the president's endorsement because of the Epstein vote.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Now, there's also one more thing that she said here where she was asked about her drinking, and this is the part where she got into a lot of trouble. Here's the other thing, too, is that I had to come out with a genetic condition that I've had of all my life. I'm not allowed to drink or consume much in the way of alcohol. It's called hemachromatosis. If you do, it'll destroy your organs, and you'll die at an early age. And I love life and I love living, and I'm going to live the healthiest that I can be,
Starting point is 00:08:17 given the genetic condition I have. and there's no reason for me to consume or imbibe alcohol. All right, so hemachromatosis, largely a genetic disorder causing the body to absorb excessive iron leading to dangerous accumulation in organs from the liver and pancreas. Now, that's interesting. I didn't know that existed. And I'm sorry if she has that. If she does have that, she's not taking care of herself because this is a crazy photo.
Starting point is 00:08:43 That's a real photo. But this is from a year ago. Crazy ass photo. But if she doesn't drink, then what, what are you doing here on National Drink Wine Day, Nancy Mace? Also, Nancy Mace's own staffer came out and called her out for it, saying, Nancy Mays claiming she doesn't drink alcohol might be the funniest most brazen lies she's told to date. The woman drank so much, she'd have interns her junior staff run to congressional liquor during the workday so she could be imbibed during telephone calls.
Starting point is 00:09:17 And this is Natalie Johnson, who is an ex-Hill alum who did comms for Nancy Mace. So I think she'd know. I think she'd know. And just some more options here. I mean, if this is really going to kill you, then what are you doing? What are you doing? Cheers, Nancy Mace. Yeah, yeah, Nancy Mace, you're not taking your condition very seriously.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Where does this all lead us? Well, no, we're good. At least Nancy Mace is going to become governor, I guess. Nancy Mace is never going to get higher than a house has a congressional leader, I guess. And I suppose that's all well and good. But God, this picture is crazy. It's a crazy photo. But I guess I'm just so sick of how brazen that everyone lies, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:02 And can't we just get good people in office? Is that too much to ask? Can we get people who treat running for office and being in office as a calling and not a career? That'd be nice.
