Starting point is 00:00:58 Terms apply. If Mitch McConnell is doing well enough that he can talk to people, so why not just release a video? Mitch McConnell is hospitalized. We don't know whether or not he's alive. We don't know whether or not he is aware of his surroundings. Folks have said they've had conversations with him. Donald Trump was questioned about him and a staffer, as you can see here, was actually seen leaving his house. And that raised more questions than answers.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Now, here's Donald Trump, who was actually. asked if he's spoken to Mitch McConnell and whether or not he's doing well, and here's what Donald Trump had to say. I have no idea. I have no idea how he's doing. Now, that very well could be a lie. That could be a lie. We do know there's a coordinated campaign the past couple of days to try to squash any sort
Starting point is 00:01:54 of conversations and rumors around Mitch McConnell. Many of these tweets from Republican officials or Republican influencers, sound eerily similar. Here's Scott Jennings said. I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior senator from Kentucky. He's still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes about Iran, Ukraine, the unfolding situation in Maine. My visit to the TR presidential library and even a little bit of Senate history. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Now, it's an interesting semantics here, but he said, I spoke to, my friend Mitch McConnell. Two. Not with two. I speak to God every day. Doesn't talk back, but I speak to, you know what I mean? Like, it's an interesting semantic there.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Someone else said here that majority whip sent Senator John Barrasso, so the following. Barrasso and McConnell had a lengthy conversation earlier this afternoon. Their phone call lasted to roughly 20 minutes. Now, let's just go back to Scott Jennings.
Starting point is 00:03:04 20 minutes. interesting, right? They both talk for 20 minutes. Barroso and McConnell talked about Graham Platner, the recent Supreme Court ruling, the Senate's July work period, etc., etc. McConnell also talked to John Thune. Leader Thune spoke with Senator McConnell yesterday by phone. They had a lengthy and substantive conversation that covered a variety of topics, including national security. Okay, fine. Now, there are multiple people, who've all had 20-minute conversations with Mitch McConnell. The interesting thing to me is, like, if Mitch McConnell is doing well enough
Starting point is 00:03:42 that he can talk to people with people, have conversations with people for 20 minutes, why not just release a video? Why not just release a quick video saying, hey, it's Mitch McConnell. I'm on the men. I'm here and doing well. Let's just kill these rumors. And hopefully we'll be out of here soon enough and fighting for Kentuckians or whatever the hell you would want to say.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Instead, we just have these like blind items from people saying that they've talked to him. I have a reason why in just a moment. But first, let's get to this person I mentioned at the top who is a staffer from Mitch McConnell was seen yesterday leaving his house and his question about his whereabouts. Are you with the Elaine Chal? Oh, are you family by any chance? We've been trying to get an update on the senator. I didn't have no idea.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Oh, okay. I'm only watching the house, make sure everything's fine there. Okay. Do you know where the wife is, the owner of the house? Okay. They just give me a key, check the house. That's it. Okay. Do they give you any other instructions or not really?
Starting point is 00:04:48 Not really. Okay. All right. Well, thank you. I appreciate it. Okay, everyone. So somebody came out of the house. I guess they're just there to, I don't know, make sure that the house is
Starting point is 00:05:04 Okay, so nobody's... So Nick, Nick with Fox is up ahead of me. We both walk down the street at the same time, like, oh, my God, Nicholas is here. Anyways, so somebody just walked out as Senator McConnell's house, and I guess they're just here to check on the house, but I hope, let me show you something. This neighbor up here has a security camera, so I'm going to see if I can get the footage from the day of the event, but just thought I'd show you that. All right, more to come.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Very interesting. I hope she does get that footage. Now, a man was sent to Jack at McConnell's home, and he had a red congressional placard and Kentucky license plate. It's just weird. This whole thing is so fucking... Thank you. Here we go. Someone's already claiming this is our year. Someone else said that last year, too. A round of James and Ginger and Lime arrives at the table.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Smooth enough for kickoff, smooth enough for extra time. New friends pulling up a stool. Debates about whether that was a handball. Cheers rising like a roar around the room. Because match days are about the shared moments. How did Jameson to your match day lineup? Jameson, it's what you bring. Please enjoy our products responsibly.
Starting point is 00:06:19 On July 16th, the Hawk lands on Netflix. From the mind of Will Farrell. Oh, Mama, I'm back. Come in a new original series. Get ready, get ready. That's it. Did I stutter? When an iconic pro golfer.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Lonnie? Monty! Hocked! Takes one last swing of greatness. You were a big shot golfer. I still am a big shot golfer. No one. Dad, I'm the Hawk now.
Starting point is 00:06:43 We'll stand in his way. That's how it's done. The Hawk, only on Netflix, July 16th. Kentucky, he's fucking from Kentucky. He's in a Kentucky car. He had a congressional placard. He removed a congressional placard. Whoever that is, he's got.
Starting point is 00:07:06 to be like family or friends or somebody what the fuck is going on kentuck there is a massive cover up happening everyone a massive cover of now a man leaving mitch mccanell's house said he doesn't know anything about the senator's health that's the same man here and we still don't know what happened to Mitch McConnell, who has been hospitalized at least since June 14th. Now, Scott Jennings was asked about his conversation. Do you think he'd be willing to call into the show? Could we get him on the phone now? You know, I wasn't really expecting him to call this morning, to be honest. So when the phone rang and I was able to talk to him, I was, I was frankly pretty grateful. I mean, as I said, I've known
Starting point is 00:07:55 him since I was a teenager. If it hadn't been for Mitch McConnell in the McConnell Center at the University of Louisville, you know, I would never have been able to go to college. He's been my mentor and he changed a trajectory in my life. So, you know, when things happen to him and happened to people in your life that you really care about, you know, you just sort of naturally feel extremely worried. So when I heard his voice to pay attention to this, let just you, you be a sleuth. Is this man telling the truth? Is he telling the truth? Today, and he was clearly keeping up with stuff that made me happy to hear from him.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Because like everybody else, I've been, you know, somewhat in the dark about it. to hear him talking and know that he's also talking to the Senate leadership, it made me pretty happy. The mega media ecosphere, shall we say, has been driving a lot of the questions about where Mitch McConnell has been and what has happened to him. You, of course, are in tune with that in the role you have on your radio show. Do you think they should put out a picture of Mitch McConnell that he should release more to the public to quiet this noise? Yeah, I think I'll had a good point about McConnell's general disposition towards privacy. I sometimes wonder, like, if I were laying in a hospital bed, would I want a bunch of people
Starting point is 00:09:07 around photographing me? Probably not, particularly if I were an 84-year-old person who's normally private about his health, probably not. But look, I take the criticism. I think it's a fair question about transparency. I think it's a fair question about whether they've done enough. But ultimately, these office holders, you know, they're in charge of their own operations. And, you know, it may be somebody around him says, let's put out a picture and he doesn't want to do it. I think that's a fair observation from Al. But all I can tell you today is all the rumors about him being dead or brain dead or, you know, his body's being hidden somewhere. I've seen all kinds of crazy things on the Internet.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That's obviously not true because he picked up the phone and called me and that was a good thing. Okay. All right. Why can he just pick up the phone and call a reporter? That's what's interesting to me. Someone wrote fascinating. Mitch McConnell is apparently well enough to spend 20 minutes discussing global geopolitics, but somehow not well enough, to record a 30-second video reassuring the people of Kentucky
Starting point is 00:10:08 in the world that he's okay. Also, his office of roughly 40 staff members can't still provide a meaningful update. Nothing about why Elaine Chao traveled to China to meet with senior CCP officials just three days after he was hospitalized. And we're all just supposed to accept this at face value. None of this inspires confidence. If anything, this post raises more questions than answers. in response to Scott Jennings, who we just saw. And we also have here, Governor of Kentucky, Andy Bashir, who's a Democrat writing to Mitch McConnell and his staff, saying over the last several weeks, Kentuckyans have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your health and well-being and ability to hold office in the United States Senate. As governor, I request
Starting point is 00:10:52 that you fully update Kentuckyans regarding this current status of your health. As public office holders, we have made a commitment to our constituents to do our best to represent them and to always be transparent. I believe this requires clear communication about one's ability to serve. We wish you a safe and speedy recovery. What's interesting about this is Mitch McConnell has not responded. Has not responded. Now, one Republican said he's not sure whether or not Mitch McConnell is actually alive. It's critical that we have a senator from Kentucky voting in the.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Senate chamber. Do you know that he's alive? I don't. That's crazy. Crazy. Mitch McConnell's wife did release a statement. It was very weird. The secretary was on a long planned trip to China to support philanthropic endeavors during the trip. She met with a number of people, including the U.S. ambassador to the senator herself, did not warrant an immediate return to the U.S. So lovely. I don't know. I kind of feel like if I were in the hospital, I'd want my partner to be by my side. I would be so offended. I'd be so offended.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Also, if my partner was in the hospital, there'd no one else said why would there be than just wanting to make sure that they're okay. Now, to that statement, one reporter asked, where is the proof that Alian Chal has returned to Washington and C.C. from China? I've seen multiple ex-accounts and investigative journalists confidently claim she's back, yet I haven't seen a single piece of evidence to support it. No photos, no sighting. no statement from Chow, no comment from McConnell's office, nothing.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Did I miss something, or is everyone just repeating an unverified claim? If there's actual proof, I generally like to see it. We actually don't know where she is. It's very, this whole thing reeks. And here is one speculation from reporter Desiree Townsend, who's been on this story like a hawk. Desire Townsend here again, a Capitol Hill with a timeline update on the Mitch McConnell Health Saga with his hospitalization entering into day 25.
Starting point is 00:12:55 On June 14th, paramedics were called to McConnell's home here in Washington, D.C., where dispatch audio revealed he was found unconscious, was in cardiac arrest, and needed CPR. His wife, Elaine Chow, was in China at the time, meeting with the vice president of the People's Republic of China on June 17th, just three days after his cardiac arrest. Fast forward to this week, Elaine Chow has been reported by sources to have returned to the United States of America approximately around July 6th. Now on July 7th, Scott Jennings, a former McConnell aide, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Majority Whip, John Barrasso, all stated they talked to McConnell, coincidentally, for 20 minutes each. Also on July 7th, Elaine Chow, Senator McConnell's wife, wife stated in response to the press as to why she didn't immediately return to her husband's bedside, but instead took a meeting with a Chinese vice president, that McConnell's health did not warrant an immediate return. Now, on July 7th, Iran, within 24 hours, attacked three shipping vessels in the street of Harmoos. Today, July 8th, the president of the United States has announced that the ceasefire is over with Iran and launches strikes against the country. Now, this all comes on the heels of Elaine Chow's trip to China in the meeting with Vice President Hong Zeng.
Starting point is 00:14:09 We obviously do not know what was discussed or if she had any closed-door meetings with other high-ranking Chinese officials. But what we do know is Chow's shipping business, her family's shipping company, foremost group, which operates a fleet of some of the largest ships in the world, transporting more than 20 million tons per their website of bulk products such as grains, soybeans, and iron ore around the world. With Iran now attacking shipping vessels in the Strait of Harmuz, companies will now likely pay a high premium to get their goods across that important channel. So there were actually reports back in May that Iran was actually allowing Chinese ships to pass through the strait.
Starting point is 00:14:53 So if one were to, let's say, own an ocean shipping company and have friendly and deeply entrenched ties with China, one could assume that Iran may let these ships pass through the strait. And one could also reasonably assume that major companies might pay a lot of money to have ships that have these great ties in the promise of getting past the straight without Iran attacking them, paying a premium in order to do so in order to transport their goods. Now, this is a part that's purely my own opinion, largely speculation, but what if, just what if something from the closed door and Senate intelligence briefing, such as, you know, a briefing on Iran or the Department of Defense budget made his way to Iran. Iran with his new information either got pissed off or gained some other useful knowledge about the United States of America and then proceeded. with these attacks less than a day after Elaine Chow returned to the United States of America. I mean, it's probably nothing, probably nothing at all.
Starting point is 00:15:55 But Elaine was previously accused of abusing her power as the Secretary of Transportation. Trump obviously hates her. She also owns this maritime shipping company and stands to make a lot of money if the strait of Harmuz is closed off. But coincidentally, does allow for Chinese ships to pass. So here's the part I think many Americans forget that this world, it's a chess game. And there is a very small circle of people at the top. Yeah. And so, I mean, this is obviously speculation.
Starting point is 00:16:31 But it does sound like there's a hint of truth to this that Elaine Chow has a really meaningful shipping business. There's obviously a problem with the Strait of Hermuz. and Mitch McConnell and his power is slipping through her fingers. And so could it very well be that she's keeping him alive as a final power play to get what she needs when she needs it? I don't know. We don't know. We do know there's some, none of this makes sense and it stinks. It stinks worse than shit.
