Starting point is 00:00:00 Oh, but there are multiple crises going on within the White House. Of course, we know about the Vanity Fairpiece that came out yesterday. But I don't remind you, there is health care that is going to be going up. I don't know if you saw your premiums and my premiums went up a lot. And Republicans are having to answer for it. And Donald Trump, during a speech for Hanukkah yesterday, kind of gave away that the ballroom is costing more than he originally. told us. We've got that clip for you. And Garjay Taylor Green also is out here slapping around Piggy, aka Donald Trump. First, let's get to Rick Scott, who is a senator from Florida,
Starting point is 00:00:44 when asked about the fact that Republicans had 15 years to improve Obamacare, the ACA, and here is his answer. But the key phrase that you just said is, if we can get it passed. I mean, how does that help a family who is staring down premiums that are going to jump come January. I mean, open enrollment's going to end in January. What are they supposed to do? I'm going to do everything I can. I've had a bill in August Flueger in the House who runs the Republican Study Committee there. He sponsors it also. So we're going to continue to work on it. I'm going to keep going, but I have not seen this man on TV a lot. I watched this live yesterday for some reason. I don't know why I had CNN on, but I did. I'm spending my time watching CNN.
Starting point is 00:01:32 leisurely watching CNN. But this guy was on, I was struck by how bad he is at this. So again, I'd say this all the time. Do not have imposter syndrome. There is no reason why this man should be a U.S. center. He has no charisma. He has no personality. He's a terrible public speaker.
Starting point is 00:01:53 And yet, he's one of two votes to come out of the state of Florida, one of the largest in the country. So maybe you should go get that job you really want, Because I bet you can actually do it if this man can do this. But, you know, look, this didn't cause, wasn't caused by Republicans. Obamacare was created and it was a complete lie. Remember Obama said you wouldn't lose your doc, you did. I wouldn't lose your plan you did.
Starting point is 00:02:14 You're going to save $2,500 family. The opposite happened. But what do you say to people say, Republicans have had 15 years to change that, and they haven't done so? Well, I mean, the Democrats in the last four years, I mean, they're the ones who created. Democrats. These subsidies and stuff fixing it, they create these extra. subsidies to mask the cost. Why didn't they fix it? I mean, if you look at, you're in power right now. I agree. I think we could improve our health. We could improve our health care system.
Starting point is 00:02:43 But what Donald Trump wants to do, which is destroy the ACA and just give people money to buy vouchers from private health companies does not make the system better. It just makes it worse. And again, the thing that the ACO is supposed to do, I think it did a little bit, was supposed to take some of the power away from the health insurance companies. And what they want to do is give that power right back. And I'm telling you, if that's the case, premiums are going to go up so much higher. This is not a solution. It's not a solution. And it's honestly offensive that they haven't come up with anything better in 15 years. And the one thing that literally has improved so many lives in this country is the ACA. I think it's probably one of the
Starting point is 00:03:28 best piece of legislation that's come out, at least in my lifetime, in that it has real tangible impacts on every American, and they want to get rid of it with no solution. It's offensive. All right. Also offensive. Oh, my God. Grandpa's loose. Grandpa's loose. All right. So he, as I said, he had a speech for a Hanukkah reception, and he kind of gave the game away, and I'm going to show you how after the clip. I think it'll be the greatest forum anywhere in the world, who else but in our country would sue to stop a $400 million beautiful ballroom that people have been after for the White House. The White House has wanted a ballroom for 150 years.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Did you want a ballroom for 150 years? I don't think that's true. Now, you might have heard that $400 million. You know, when this thing was first announced, it was going to be $100 million, and then it was reported to be $200 million. and then it was 300 million. Trump now says his ballroom will cost 300 million.
Starting point is 00:04:34 And now it's $400 million. I am telling you, I am telling you. This is one of the large, it's not the largest script. I think it's largest script that's crypto, but this is just a money laundering scheme. Money laundering scheme. How is building, I mean, I'm not, I don't, I could be wrong. I could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Someone watching this does construction. Someone watching this as an architect. $400 million for that ballroom. Maybe the editor can put a picture here. $400 million for this doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't think that's what that would cost. That sounds like a lot of money to me.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Like how much does it cost to make a home? Like, I don't know. Like it just sounds like a lot. A lot. Now, they have to outfit it with security and et cetera. So perhaps that makes sense. 100 million just sounds like a lot. lot too. I think it's a big money laundering scheme. All right. And then yesterday in CNN, where I was
Starting point is 00:05:32 again, spending my free time, Marjorie Heather Green said that Republicans are starting to break from Trump. And then she also commented on Donald Trump's disgusting comments about Rob Reiner. It's clearly also really tragic just for the Reiner family. Oh, yes. I mean, you have no problem calling out what the president said, but why do you think other Republicans have struggled to do so? I can't comprehend it, but Caitlin, I'd like to point something out. Just last week, and I think the dam is breaking, many Republicans may not have called him out, but last week 13 Republicans voted with Democrats to overturn one of President Trump's executive orders, which enabled him to fire federal workers.
Starting point is 00:06:17 We also saw Indiana Republicans vote against redistricting. He didn't call any of them traitors and call for primary. against them. But I would like to say that that is a sign where you're seeing Republicans, they're entering the campaign phase for 2026, which is a large signal that lame duck season has begun and that Republicans will go in all in for themselves in order to save their own re-elections. I mean, that sounds good, lame duck. Doesn't that just sound good thinking that Donald Trump could be a lame duck? It almost sounds too good to be true. Could it be true? Could Donald Trump be heading towards being powerless?
Starting point is 00:06:57 I don't believe Donald Trump will give up power without a fight, but it feels good to think he would. And she's right. We did see, we talked about this a couple days ago, the Indiana Republicans voting against the redistricting was major. And I do like, I can't believe she's the moral authority, but I do like that at least one Republican, one insane person, Q and on conspiracy theorists can still have a conscious. His supporters, um, including myself, we didn't appreciate hearing the president who himself was shot and after Charlie Kirk's horrific murder. We didn't appreciate, even if you don't agree with Rob Reiner politically, there was no
Starting point is 00:07:40 reason for his statement to be the statement that he made. Yeah, when he says, I mean, this was in the immediate aftermath of us finding out about Rob Reiner and obviously now his son has been taken into custody. You've said that his murder was not about politics. or political enemies. The president called him bad for our country and said he was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned. I thought that statement was absolutely completely below the office of the president of the United States, classless, and it was just wrong. That was a, it's a tragic murder. It's a family ripped apart. And from my understanding,
Starting point is 00:08:21 what I've seen on the news, it was drug abuse and mental illness. and many families across America deal with family members that are drug addicts or have mental health issues. And I think the president should have responded with compassion and talked about those issues. Okay, girl. Well, yeah, definitely, but compassion, come on. That is not Donald Trump. But still, it is nice for one person to say that it was classless what he said. What she just said is what the president should have said. That it's awful and that the country is with them. It's all it's all he needed to say.
Starting point is 00:09:02 But he could be a lame duck. Quack quack, quack. Quack, quack.
