Starting point is 00:00:00 When it comes to recycling, be recycle ready. Preparing materials for the bin ensures they are ready to be recycled. Here's a few tips. Empty containers and give them a quick rinse. Flatten and break down any cardboard. Place recyclables clean, dry, and loose in your bin. Thank you for recycling and making a difference. Learn more at circular materials.ca.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Ready? Recycle. Repeat. All right. We have some big news. Donald Trump's most favorite project, the ballroom, could be over. Everyone just quit. They just quit. And we have multiple signs that MAGA is in big trouble, because not only means Donald Trump's one thing that he's looking forward to going bye-bye. We also have a billionaire tie to J.D. Vance saying that things are not looking great. And speaking of not looking great. Actually, I think she looks pretty good. But I don't think this is a good. sign. Nancy Mace has, I mean, she's trying to be a YouTuber. Good luck, Nancy Mace. Not as easy as it
Starting point is 00:01:06 looks. She, uh, also, what does it mean to get Maced? I feel like does that require having to go to a doctor afterwards? She showed up to work wearing this leather one piece. Good evening. I'm Congresswoman Nancy Mace and you're just now tuning into the Get Maced podcast. And if you're not... Again, like, get Maced. following, please subscribe now. We are so... What is that AI graphic? Very, very, very close to hitting 70,000 subscribers on YouTube and I would like you to be the very next one. Tonight's episode is all about questions and politics and the people who can't
Starting point is 00:01:54 answer them. Okay, good luck in your career, Nancy Mace. Okay. Now, folks wrote the following. Is she evil? Yes. Is she clearly in the midst of a dire mental health crisis? Absolutely. Do I think it's kind of fun that she's dressed like catwoman for no apparent reason? Unfortunately, also yes. I mean, yes. I mean, as a gay man, I got to say this is extremely camp. I listen, if this woman had politics I admired, I would say this is, I like, I mean, I don't think she looks bad. I don't think she looks bad. I just think like, like, what's going on? You're a member of Congress, okay? I just think there has to be some level of... I don't like that John Federman wears the hoodies and the shorts. Okay? Same idea here. You can tell no one talks to her otherwise.
Starting point is 00:02:43 They would have told her that doing this is a bad idea. I don't know. Again, and also, like, if you were just a content creator, if Nancy Mace weren't a member of Congress and she were just a fool on the internet like me, it would be more than fine. But yeah, this is not... This is not the vibe.
Starting point is 00:03:01 One more. How does a sitting congresswoman have time to run her own podcast dressed as a catwoman? That's a good question. Well, that's because they're not doing anything. They got sent home early yet again. They have more time off than almost anyone. They're getting paid right. They're not working.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Well, yeah, she's getting paid twice. She's getting paid as a podcaster and she's getting paid as a member of Congress for not doing anything because Mike Johnson sent them home because they don't want. Oh, God. Go Cox. I forgot about this. I mean, let's be honest. She knows exactly what she's doing. I hope it works out for you.
Starting point is 00:03:34 I mean, you're not the first person to try to sell your body to make some money. Hopefully you do. I don't know. I don't know else to tell you. But, I mean, I think you, I used to think that you perhaps were smart. I guess you can still be smart and try to do stuff like this. But I just don't think it's a very, like, like you're only getting older, you know, like how much runway left is there for this type of content, you know?
Starting point is 00:03:58 I guess do it while you can. I'm glad I took the shirtless selfies when I did. You know what I mean? Because eventually, eventually, no one's going to want to see that anymore. All right. Now, moving on. We have some updates to the ballroom here. Donald Trump, the Washington Post, is reporting,
Starting point is 00:04:18 is having hiring issues because their architect has said they are quitting over safety concerns. Oh my God. In the weeks leading up to his resignation last year, the first architect on the White House ballroom clash with Donald Trump over design features that the architect believed violated building safety codes according to two people with knowledge of discussions and corroborating documents reviewed by the post. James McCreery II withdrew from the project last October after warning repeatedly. Trump was insisting on a preliminary design that did not provide adequate emergency exit routes or fire containment measures. said the people who spoke on the condition at anonymity to describe the discussions. Trump brushed off that person's concerns and said the president countered that no building codes apply to the White House constructions. He goes, I am the code.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Now, Trump's White House construction projects are being routed through the executive residence, a tiny office that is not a federal agency and is therefore exempt from rules governing agencies. The District of Columbia government has no jurisdiction. to enforce local building codes on federal property, the contractors hired to design and build a ballroom are responsible for adhering to safety standards as they work nearly around the clock to meet Trump's ambitious deadlines.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Discussion, oh my God. So really what's about to happen? That ballroom is going to be a death trap. Let's just be honest. If there's no, they're not following building codes, if the unthinkable happens, and there's a fight, like, there could be a truly tragedy waiting to happen.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And the fact that they're pushing this as quickly as they can, who knows? I mean, Donald Trump loves to cut some corners and save some money, so perhaps it's not even going to be built well. Discussions about the safety issues in the ballroom design continued for months after McCrary resigned according to White House records. It is not clear from the records reviewed by the Post whether the safety issues he identified had been resolved in more recent designs by Shalom Barnes Associates. So they could have fixed him, but let's be honest. Do you think so? I don't think so. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:06:25 And just a quick update, the Trump administration has allegedly diverted more than $400 million in secret service funding to cover the costs of the renovations, including the new ballroom, despite Trump's claim that these projects would not be constructed with taxpayer money. So we are paying for this death trap ballroom, just FYI. Trump, not satisfied with just adding his name to the ballroom, adding his name to, I guess he's trying to do at the Kennedy Center. He also now wants to attach his name to Ford's theater. Donald Trump fights to rename Kennedy Center after himself. Administration officials are circulating a list of government sites that could have his name affixed to them in some way, according to people familiar with the effort. One landmark that has emerged in the discussions among administration officials has raised eyebrows for its theater.
Starting point is 00:07:13 It is unclear how seriously the theater is being considered or how the administration would attach Trump's name to it, one administration official said that idea had been discussed, but they didn't know where it stood. White House officials, advisors, and allies pitch ideas such as naming buildings after Trump to get on the president's good side. The president's view, the official says, said, why would I say no, everybody's trying to please me? They know flattery gets them everything. A former official has said. I mean, I don't even know, man. I mean, of all the things to get upset about, this is the shit I get the least upset about. It's like whatever. Add your fucking name. We can take it off. I'm like more interested in the corruption. I'm more interested in the what we're hearing lately is Donald Trump's apparent
Starting point is 00:08:02 effort to try to thwart our elections in November. So this stuff to me feels like small, like go ahead. Go ahead, you small man. If you want to do that, it's weird. Just weird behavior. All right. And then Peter Teal was on a podcast and he talked about Vance and Rubio's presidential chances. And he was completely frank and honest. The Republicans will make a decision soon or later the names about the potential candidates that I heard most often are J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio. Who do you think would be the better candidate in order to increase the likelihood that the Republicans would win the next election? Well, I am still advanced partisan. I worry that it will be very hard for either candidate to win.
Starting point is 00:08:59 And so, I don't know, my pessimistic thought is that that's the wrong question. So the right question would be. Who's going to be the Democratic candidate? If the Democrats. Who's going to be the Democratic candidate? Interesting. So he's basically saying that there's really not a chance that a Republican could potentially win in 2028. He says here the man who is a sole reason, you know, who is a sole reason, you know,
Starting point is 00:09:17 who Jady Vance is, is fully prepared to jettison Jady Vance once he is no longer useful to him. Oh, yeah, well, I can see why he's not going to win. Jaddy Vance called the far left, the fart left. And he wanted to make sure you heard his joke. And because we need somebody who will fight back against the fart left, we need Michael Watley in the United States Senate. Now, you may not have even heard that, but I actually, I usually don't misspeak. But I just called them the fart left, not the fart left.

Starting point is 00:10:20 When it comes to recycling, a short rinse goes a long way. Leftover food residue can impact materials ability to be effectively recycled and can spoil your other recyclables too. Containers don't need to be squeaky clean, just clean and dry enough to keep them and everything else in your bin, ready for recycling. Learn more at circular materials.ca. Ready? Recycle. Repeat. Thank you.
