Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, we are currently living through, I would say, the most corrupt moment in American history. And what's incredible about this is that it is happening not behind closed doors, but out in the open for everyone to see. And I think they're really just daring someone to tell them no. And there's been multiple times just the past couple of days where Donald Trump has blatantly broken the law. They don't care. It's everything from the Trump-Kennedy. Center to the now Epstein files that I'm going to tell you right now, we are getting reporting that they are not releasing all the files. I'm going to show you why that's a problem. It's against
Starting point is 00:00:40 the law. Literally, Congress created a law and Donald Trump is breaking it. And that's not the worst of it. There is so much going on that it's actually impossible to keep up with all of it. And I didn't even know this is happening. Perhaps you knew, but I did not know that there is now a $1 Trump coin that is going to be made to honor America's 250th birthday. Did you know about this? I did not know about this. This is the shit that dictators do. Normally we reserve coins and memorials for people who are dead. Donald Trump and dictators want to be memorialized while they're alive.
Starting point is 00:01:22 A portrait of President Donald Trump may be featured on a commemorative $1 coin issued by the United States mint in honor of America's $250 billion. date in 2026, according to first drafts of the images confirmed by the U.S. Treasury. No fake news here said Brandon Beach, the U.S. treasurer. These first drafts honoring America's 250 birthday and President of the United States are real. Looking forward to sharing more soon once the obstruction is shut down to the United States government is over because this is a few months old. Now, when a lot of people saw this, they said that, of course, that's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:01:56 There's actually a law in place that says that they're not allowed to do that. that coins can only be used for people who have passed. Well, I guess the reason why I'm bringing this up is because the Kennedy Center is a memorial. The Kennedy Center is a memorial. It has that designation from Congress. Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center board don't care about a pesky little thing called a law. Now here it says as Trump puts his brand in Washington, the Kennedy Center gets a new name. President Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts reached an inevitable
Starting point is 00:02:29 apogy on Thursday afternoon when it was announced that Senator's Board of Trustees had voted to rename it to the Trump Kennedy Center. Even though Mr. Trump had already been calling it that for months in a trollish post online, he acted shot when his hand-picked board had thought to do this for him. And here is that bit of that reaction. Trump Kennedy Center. What's your reaction to that? Well, I was honored by it. The board is a very distinguished board. Most distinguished people in the country. And I was surprised by it. I was honored by it. It feels a little like when he was shocked to receive his fake piece fries.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Now, I want to say that, like, I want to talk about this very quickly because I actually think of all the things to get upset about. This is probably the least important. Like, let him rename a building who fucking cares really. To me, the bigger problem is that there is a law in place. Like, this is illegal what he's doing. And so it's like pushing the boundaries of what is allowed and what is, um, acceptable by the public. I think that to me is the big problem with this, is that it's showing that him in this administration do not abide by laws. And I think we kind of knew that, but I think this is a very
Starting point is 00:03:41 blatant way in which it's out in the open because he's even now starting to add his name. See right here. There's a picture here. The Donald J. Trump. And it's a memorial. It's a memorial. This is literally like if he were to try to rename the Lincoln Memorial, the Trump Lincoln Memorial. same thing. That was designated to honor President Kennedy. And now Donald Trump has decided that he wants to put his name on it. I also want to say that like as it comes to not paying attention to laws, there's a little thing called the Epstein files that's not going to be released today. Not all of it, at least. And here's a little bit about that. Department of Justice will not be releasing all of its files on convicted sex offender Epstein by Friday's deadline, according to the deputy attorney general.
Starting point is 00:04:25 In an interview with Fox News, Blanche said the department will release several hundred thousand documents today, but he acknowledged Friday's release would not encompass all the DOJ's documents. I expect that we're going to release more documents over the next couple of weeks. So today, several hundred thousand and then over the next couple of weeks, I expect several hundred thousand more. There's a lot of eyes looking at these and we want to make sure that we do produce the materials we are producing, that we are protecting every single victim and probably protecting Donald Trump. Now, that is breaking the law. That is breaking the law.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Here's what Thomas Massey said. Jay went back and asked for that grand jury material. If DOJ doesn't release the files it has by next Friday, is there anything Congress can do to compel that to happen? Well, I mean, it's a crime if they don't. It's not like they're in contempt of Congress. Well, it's a crime. Okay, well, we've shown now that they don't really care about those pesky little things called laws.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I think we have to be a little bit more creative about how we punish this because they didn't respond to a subpoena. This is a new law with criminal implications if they don't follow it. But I was encouraged, again, by the fact that they went back to these three judges and got the judges to release the grand jury material to the DOJ. Well, I don't think you should have been encouraged. And just to show how inept Congress is right now in dealing with an authoritarian, here is our Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, talking about how Donald Trump would have hell to pay if the files weren't released today. Release the Epstein files.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Congress passed a law, not a suggestion, not a request. The law requires DOJ to release the files by Friday, December 19th. In three days, President Trump has a choice. Follow the law and release the files or break the law and continue to hide the truth from the American people. Break the law and the consequence is continue to hide the truth. I mean, I guess I guess there's really nothing. He controls the Department of Justice.
Starting point is 00:06:33 He controls the FBI. He controls Congress and the Supreme Court. But surely there has to be some sort of consequence more than keep hiding the truth. Do you think he cares? Let me be blunt. We fully expect Trump, Bondi, and their minions to dodge, delay or, partially release these files. If they release some documents and hide others, the American people will see right through it. And they'll ask the obvious question. We are all asking the obvious
Starting point is 00:07:05 question that looms. President Trump, what are you trying to hide? Bro, we need a new guy. We need a new guy. That shit probably fucking smashed in 1999. That probably killed on CNN in 2006. That shit is not working in 2025. We need a new guy. Sorry. We got to end it with this. This is from Jonathan V. Last, the bulwark. The most insidious corruption of Trumpism is not merely the case that Trumpism proposes a series of terrible things and gets people to accept them.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It would be one thing to describe these events that I've just mentioned to Trump defenders in 2024 to reply, that sounds great. Let's go. No, Trumpism gets its defenders to insist that terrible things. could never happen precisely because they are so awful right up until the moment that Trump does the thing, at which point these same people insist that the thing with which could never happen must happen, that it is right, good, and necessary.
