Okay, well, the president of the United States has responded to the tragic death of Rob Reiner.
This is absolutely one of the most despicable things.
A president has probably ever said.
I'm going to read it two in full.
A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood.
Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling but once very talented movie director,
and comedy star has passed away together with his wife, Michelle,
reportedly due to the anger. He caused others through his massive, unyielding, incurable
affliction with a mind-cripling disease known as Trump derangement syndrome, sometimes, referred to as
TDS. He was known to have driven people crazy by his raging obsession of President Donald
J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump administration
surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness and with the golden age of America upon us,
perhaps like never before.
May Rob and Michelle rest in peace.
President of the United States.
It appears to be celebrating the murder of someone who was a critic of him.
Now, I have more updates too on what's happened with Rob Reiner.
There's been a suspect taken into custody.
We now know more about how Rob Reiner died,
which is going to make what he posted here,
even more despicable.
I just can't, I can't stop thinking about how when Charlie Kirk was murdered,
it became, it became almost against the law to say anything poorly about Charlie Kirk,
to just even post his own statements on the internet.
People were being doxed.
people had their jobs called to get them fired.
But the President of the United States says this about someone who didn't traffic and hate at all.
Rod Reiner was someone who, I think, spoke to our greatest ideals in America.
He fought for democracy.
He fought for truth.
Yes, he was on the opposite side of Donald Trump.
but he believed in American values, unlike this piece of shit.
I mean, I also had just to say that one of the signs of dementia is when you are unable to filter your thoughts.
Here are some responses to this.
I mean, there are just millions, but Brett from Midas Touch said, what a piece of shit.
I thought this is very interesting.
This is Scott Greer.
he's a right-wing political commentator.
And his followers did not appreciate this.
Horrific.
We need a leader, not a 12-year-old edge lord.
Someone said that sounded a little over the top until I found it while I guess there's
someone celebrating it.
Someone sarcastically says, and they say he lacks grace.
Someone else says gross and idiotic.
Someone else said time to put his phone back in time out.
oof, someone can't believe it's real.
It is real.
Matt says he's legitimately insane.
I actually just like beside myself.
Aaron Rupar said this is probably,
this is one of the most iconic things Trump has ever posted.
Now to those who said that MAGA has not been celebrating
because I got some pushback yesterday,
first off, obviously, that's the president of United States.
States celebrating the death of someone who was a political opponent of his. Someone here said last
November, Rob Reiner left X and checked himself into a psych ward because he couldn't cope with his
preferred candidate losing the election. Last night, he and his wife were knife to death by their son. Mental
health problems are often genetic. Just totally unnecessary thing to say. And also, like, just being gleeful.
This person said this.
There's nothing sweeter than watching karma do its job.
Here's how Rob Reiner died.
This is what we're looking now.
Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle, their throats were slit by their family members.
Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle had their throats slit by a family member,
possibly after an argument inside their Los Angeles home,
leading to their tragic deaths, TMZ has learned.
It's unclear what exactly triggered the value.
violence, which went down Sunday afternoon in Brentwood, but were told one of Rob's daughters
found her parents dead and told police a family member had killed them. People reports
the couple of son Nick is being questioned in connection with the murders. One of TMZ's sources
say the daughter told police the family member, quote, should be a suspect because they're,
quote, dangerous. We also now also have heard that there are lacerations consistent with knife
wound. So it could possibly be that not only were their throat slit, but they were stabbed after
they were already dead. We're also learning that Rob Reiner's son, Nick, was arrested in connection
with the parents' murder. Rob and Michelle Reiner's son, Nick, has been arrested and is being
held on $4 million bail TMZ learned to
32-year-old is in custody of the Los Angeles Police Department as a Monday morning,
according to online records. He was booked at the LAPD jail. Friends and collaborators,
Billy Crystal and Larry David, were seen leaving the couple's home Sunday evening looking
very distraught. And though there has been outpouring of tributes from people like Barack Obama,
Stephen King, and Ben Stiller, we also now have this from the President of the United States.
And I'm just, I don't think I've ever been more pissed off by something Donald Trump has posted.
to be honest. I'm at a loss for words, as I wrote here. What I want to end with is how Rob Reiner
talked about Charlie Kirk's murder. That's the difference. And I think that's something we should
lift up. We don't have to be like this. We can reject this. We should reject this. I'm not even
going to respond to this with the equal amount of hate he wants. I'm going to pray for this man. I'm going to
pray for this country because we deserve so much better than this.
I'm going to leave you with Rob Reiner.
Bye.
When you first heard about the murder of Charlie Kirk, what was your immediate gut reaction to it?
Well, horror, absolute horror.
And I unfortunately saw the video of it.
And it's beyond belief what happened to him.
and that should never happen to anybody.
I don't care what your political beliefs are.
That's not acceptable.
That's not a solution to solving problems.
And I felt like what his wife said at the service
that the memorial they had was exactly right.
And totally, I believe, you know, I'm Jewish,
but I believe in the teachings of Jesus,
and I believe in doing to others,
and I believe in forgiveness.
And what she said to me was beautiful.
And absolutely, you know, she forgave his assassin.
And I think that that is admirable.
