Wayfair, every style, every home. All right, we're some pretty big news. Donald Trump is invading Greenland. Rachel Maddow just broke this thing wide open. And I think we kind of all assumed that this thing was over, but it's not. And it's another example of how Donald Trump means. what he says. And that's why I also want to highlight for you what his new attorney general said around the midterm elections. This is all happening in real time. Donald Trump is going to do the things

that he says he wants to do. It's true about Greenland now and certainly going to be true about the midterm elections and perhaps even the unconstitutional third term. It's really a feature now of the Republican Party. We also have now News 2 in Alaska where the sitting incumbent Republican Senator who's been endorsed by Donald Trump. His name is Dan Sullivan, as it says here. Dan Sullivan is doing a fantastic job representing the great people of Alaska. Prior to becoming a very distinguished and highly respected senator, Dan served as state attorney. He says here, Dan has always delivered for Alaska, blah, blah, blah. He is my total endorsement for reelection. He will not let you down. Okay, maybe he won't let you down. I don't know about that. But I'll say this. Alaska is

letting us all down because I don't know if you know about this, but there is a man who is currently on the ballot who's also named Dan Sullivan. Now, that seems to me like a very funny coincidence that there is this teacher named Dan Sullivan who's also running for election in U.S. Senate, but the Republicans are doing what I like to call shenanigans trying to get this man off the ballot because they know that it's going to hurt their chances for re-election. It could very well swing the U.S. Senate control over to the Democrats. Let's just get into this story a bit because an Anchorage judge ruled on Friday that the Alaska Division of Elections decision to disqualify U.S. Senate candidate

with the same name as the incumbent was unlawful. So let's just rewind for a second. So what happened was that Alaska tried removing a man from the ballot only because he had the same name as the incumbent Republican. Okay? And a judge said that that was not okay. And just to show that this really isn't about anything else other than the fact that this man's name has the same name

as the incumbent Republican senator, y'all, they let a prisoner and his mom on the ballot. They're running for a state federal seat, even though he's serving 20 years in New York for a crime. Okay? So clearly they don't care about qualifications. It's really just about this man's name. Now, with the ruling, what has happened is that the Republicans have done something that is frankly illegal.

They have the Democrat here. And here you have Daniel J. Sullivan, who is the teacher. and they have here Dan S. Sullivan and it says here registered Republican incumbent. Now what's interesting, you notice how everyone else here

has their party affiliation. Daniel J. Jr. Sullivan, who's also Republican, doesn't have his party affiliation. And this has never been done before and is likely very illegal and it's being challenged in court right now. It says incumbent here.

That's never been done before. in the history of Alaska elections. So this is very obviously, clearly the GOP is scared that Dan Sullivan is going to take away votes from that MAGA senator in the general election. And I think, hey, if y'all are doing shenanigans, then we should too. So I just want to highlight for you

that Daniel J. Sullivan is an option. He's an option. And you might be asking yourself, why? Why are we bothering? Why are we bothering this with a retired school teacher? Shouldn't we be rooting for the Democrat? Yeah, we should in the general. But let's just keep in mind on the 18th. That's the primary. And Daniel J. Sullivan, if he gets enough votes, Democrats literally can take back the Senate. So just do with that what you will. Let's move on to another chilling story because Donald Trump, as you remember, Donald Trump very frequently

said that he wants to take Greenland. Here's just one time out of many. I'm not talking about money for Greenland yet. I might talk about that. But right now, we are going to do something on Greenland, whether they like it or not, because if we don't do it, Russia or China will take over Greenland. We're not going to have Russia or China as a neighbor.

Okay? So he said we're going to do it whether you like it or not. And Rachel Maddo reported just yesterday that it appears that Donald Trump is starting to invade the country. And here's that reporting here. 2021, Greenland passed a national moratorium, a national ban on all future oil exploration. Nevertheless, after Trump got elected to go back and serve a second term as president in the United States, and he started talking about four. forcibly taking over Greenland for some reason. A new company formed in Texas called Greenland Energy.

That's not Greenland, Texas. It's Greenland as in Greenland. And Greenland Energy said they were going to drill for oil in Greenland. In June, a representative from Greenland Energy turned up in Greenland, in the part of the untouched Arctic, no roads, eastern Greenland, where these guys want to drill. And they announced to the villagers there that this company, this Texas company, had permission. They announced that they have permission. They had secured the legal right to start bringing their equipment, their oil drilling equipment,

to this untouched Arctic area of Greenland. After those remarks in Eastern Greenland, the company later apologized and said, actually, they didn't have permits to do that. They put out a statement sort of correcting the record saying, quote, our enthusiasm for the project led us to communicate. in a way that created confusion. So forget we said that. What really created confusion locally

was when this happened. This is a picture of a tugboat bringing in a barge to that area of eastern Greenland. And the barge appears to contain about 15, 12 or 15 shipping containers worth of stuff. These photos were obtained by a Danish investigative outlet called Danwanch.

They show this tugboat and this barge arriving, full, totally loaded, on the night of Wednesday, July 29th. Then the same tugboat and the same barge are seen leaving that same place the next morning, except this time, empty, because all of those shipping containers, all of that equipment that was on the barge heading in, they apparently left all that stuff on land. Now, the government in Greenland had said explicitly that this American oil company didn't have, quote, permission to unload anything at all, to unload anything whatsoever in Greenland. In fact, before the pictures were published, showing that tugboat and barge leaving empty after apparently dropping off all that material,

the minister in charge of mineral resources from the Greenland government did a local interview in Greenland in which he said he was sure, he was absolutely sure, this American oil company would never break the law and try to start this drilling project without permission. Quote, should that happen, Greenland has the means to stop their actions. He said, quote, this is a society governed by the rule of law. So I have some broad-shouldered men in black uniforms in the first instance who can help me deal with some illegal activities if I ask for them. By which he means, I think, the Greenlandic police.

Then he said, quote, ultimately, I'm sure that the Arctic command. will also contribute, by which he means the Danish military, he believes, would also intervene to stop this American oil company from trying to drill for oil in Greenland without any permission to do so. So that's what Greenland's government had to say. It turns out on the day this American company, unbeknownst to them, had just that morning dropped off more than a dozen shipping containers full of equipment to get started on their oil drilling operation in Greenland.

The American company said they had permission to move in the equipment. Then they kind of apologized for that and admitted that they didn't have the permission. Now, what Rachel Maddo failed to mention is that that American oil company is literally connected to Donald Trump. Okay. So I would like to, as the Guardian says here, it says an American oil company connected to Donald Trump is repairing to sink wells in remote Greenland despite not having received permission. And this is as the president renews his threats to claim the vast Arctic territory. materials to prepare for drilling were brought ashore in recent days on Greenland's eastern coast. And as you can see here, Donald Trump has been making these types of threats for very long time.

And so I would posit to say that this is Donald Trump basically making a small declaration of control of parts of Greenland. It's not unlike what Russia did to Ukraine. And I really do believe that this is Donald Trump's way of starting. to seize some control of the country. So we have to be very clear-eyed about this, because when Donald Trump says insane shit, it's not like he's saying it just for funsies. Like, he means that shit.

And that's why, like when I saw this earlier today, I think it's all connected, y'all, when I saw this earlier today where Donald Trump said the following about Greenland, I knew that there is more to this than just a company. Here's another question. still looking at Greenland. I made a prediction on this program that before you left office, that Greenland would be under our operational control. It's still incredibly important to defending

the Western Hemisphere, isn't it? Yeah, you'll be right if you took that. Yeah, you'll be right. No, they want to do something. Very important. Greenland's important, you know, from our standpoint. Not from their standpoint, but from our standpoint. You should make that bet, actually. I did make that bad, and I think it's incredibly important. Yeah, so he's saying what he wants to do. And on that same interview, he said the following about our elections, which I thought was very chilling. So let me put an idea in your head, okay? Because it's so hard to get the Senate to do anything, now they're on recess, they don't get anything done.

If they never get the Save America Act done, you have the right to declare a national security emergency for elections. And the Supreme Court ruled in 1983 under Reagan, that INS versus Chata, that if you declare a national security emergency as the President of the United States, they can't challenge it. It can only be overturned by a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress. So if you do this in the next month, we will get photo ID, proof of citizenship, and a limit to mail-in ballots. And you don't even need the center. happens, okay, I'll leave it at that. All right, we'll leave it at that. Isn't that crazy that this fucking host is like, please Donald Trump, do fascism, please, please do fashion from Donald Trump. It's, this is insane anyways, but yeah, Donald Trump is hinting at declaring a national emergency

for the midterms. And when you know it, his right-hand man, Todd Blanche, the new AG, who I think is scarier than Pam Bondi because Pan Bondi, like, was ineffective. Not very smart. I know for sure, folks in the inside thought she was a lightweight, not able to do the job. Tom Blanche, you know, he got Donald Trump off so many criminal charges. This man knows what he's doing. And so when he said that maybe they're going to have ICE at polling locations, coupled with Donald Trump's, threats about the midterms, we got to pay attention. Now, when it comes to ICE officers, you recently expressed some support to deploy them to polling locations,

armed federal officers. Now, how do you reconcile that with obviously the federal law that prohibits federal law enforcement to be armed at these locations? Well, that's not true. I have not said that. What we have talked about is whether there's a need to make sure our elections are fair, to make sure that only people who are supposed to be voting or voting, which isn't an incredible statement to be made by a government official. I hope everybody in Congress, everybody in the Senate thinks that. Now, the other thing is, if you're here illegally, you are not allowed to vote. So I also am not sure of the uproar of the risk of having a border patrol or an ICE agent at a polling location or looking into whether somebody is voting that shouldn't be. If you are here illegally, you cannot vote. And so what's the risk? Why wouldn't everybody in Washington, everybody in the United States, be supportive of that to make sure that people that are here illegally are not voting, are not voting.

Well, first off, it's against the law. You're not allowed to have federal agents at polling locations. It's against the law. So there's that. You should know that, attorney general. Why do I know that? Why do I know that and you don't? So again, we have to watch all this stuff.

Alaska, Greenland, it's all connected. When Donald Trump says he wants to do something, he quite often does it. And I think it really is a sign that when he's joking about the third term, it's not a joke. He's going to try to do that shit. So we're going to keep following this.
