Donald Trump's buddy, Robert Morris, a pastor of a megachurch, is behind bars now for truly one of the worst crimes imaginable.
And I have NBC news to tell you all about it.
This is frankly disgusting, but it's great that someone is finally going to be facing consequences for a truly heinous act.
But before we get to that, if you could please hit like on this video, I swear more people see it when you do that.
And if you're not subscribed, we're on the road to a million subscribers.
Help us get there quickly.
And hit subscribe.
All right, let's get to this.
Thank you, Jesus for...
The man who once led one of the largest congregations in America.
Today, walking into an Oklahoma courthouse, pleading guilty to sexually abusing an underage girl.
This has taken my entire lifetime to get here.
That girl was Cindy Clemishire, now 55.
Inside the courtroom, delivering a message to her abuser through tears, as a woman.
Gateway Church founder Robert Morris admitted to five felony counts of lewd or indecent acts
with a child in the 80s. People need to know who he is, that he came into our home as a pedophile,
disguised as a preacher. The abuse began on Christmas night in 1982, Cindy says, when she was 12 and Morris 21.
It continued for years. A secret Cindy kept until 1987 when she told her parents and church leaders,
and for the first time last year, shared publicly.
He started by touching my breast and putting his hands in my pants.
Decades past, Morris grew into an evangelical powerhouse,
even serving on President Trump's spiritual advisory council,
at times alluding to past transgressions in his sermons.
Sexual temptation is an appetite of the flesh,
and I developed an appetite before I was saved.
His sins that NBC News reported on last year,
Now officially crimes. Morris handed a 10-year sentence, though he will only serve six months in a county jail as part of the negotiated plea deal.
He will also have to register as a sex offender and pay $250,000 in restitution.
There is hope to come out of shame and to be whole again, and that's my hope for me, my hope for other victims and even for Robert.
For this survivor, justice decades delayed, but tonight no longer.
denied. Priscilla Thompson, NBC News. Absolutely horrific. The Texas megachurch pastor, sexually
abusing children. And I think the thing that's interesting about this to me is, one, I have
Donald Trump's comments about this guy before this all happened. But two, more importantly,
we live in an era where the right, not everyone on the right, but a lot of people in the right want to
vilify trans people, immigrants, gay people, and trans people, thinking that we exist, I'm gay,
we exist, that one of our goals in life is to hurt children. And it is just so funny to me
that whenever I see these stories, it's never a trans person, it's never a Hispanic person,
It's never an immigrant.
It's never a gay person.
It's so often, more than not, a straight, white man performing these awful acts, whether it be child sexual abuse or gun violence.
Now, Donald Trump, who I guess just likes to hang around with pedophiles, this guy, Jeffrey Epstein, here's what Donald Trump.
had to say about Robert Morris.
I want to thank pastors Robert Morris and Steve Dullen.
They're great people.
Great people with a great reputation.
I have to say that.
Great reputation.
Does this look like someone with a great reputation?
Now, he is only going to be in jail for six months.
He got sentenced for 10 years, but he's only going to be in jail for six months.
So we're sending people who are here legally, though they might not have citizenship.
or just sending them away to El Salvador or to the Congo or someplace where they'd never been
for the crime of just wanting to live and have a better life.
And then this pedophile pastor gets six months in prison.
Are you fucking kidding me?
It's absurd.
And just here's the mugshot.
And again, yeah, sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.
Now, while that is happening, we have reporting here.
that Donald Trump, because he was elected president,
because farmers thought it would be different this time,
farmers are getting hurt from Donald Trump's economy.
And here's one farmer's story about it.
We went from $12 billion to zero.
And then, you know, as a farmer, we get up one morning and you give Argentina,
which is our second biggest competition in the world.
They're the largest exporters of soybean meal in the world.
So I get up one morning, I turn the news on,
and you get $20 billion of taxpayer money to my competition.
And then the Chinese buy, I think the figure is 30 or 40 containers, ships, which is about 65,000 metric tons per ship, which is like 2.2 million bushels.
So they buy $12 or $14 billion worth of soybeans from the Argentinians after the tax holiday.
And here's the caveat to it.
They give $2.30 over the November board while I'm getting 50 cents under the November board.
We're going to plant canola this month.
It's one of the few things we've found.
It's moved into Arkansas.
They're going to make renewable jet fuel, renewable diesel of it.
We've never raised any.
I had to get a loan from FSA to do it because it's an uninsurable crop through the federal crop insurance.
But they would let me do it through the nap insurance.
Well, I can't even get the loan for it because there's nobody at the FSA office.
There's nobody at the NRCS office.
We shut the government down.
They all went home.
How are your other farmers for your friends feeling?
I know a lot of them are Trump supporters.
Do they still feel good?
everybody's pretty nervous, everybody's pretty scared.
There's some of the older guys that, you know, farm out of their pocket.
They're like, I'm not doing this again.
I'm not.
I'm not giving back 30 years worth of work.
Everybody's scared to death.
I got friends that are bankers that, you know,
we'll tell you the bank examiner is already telling them, look,
you're going to have to deal with these guys because their equipment's not going to be worth as much.
Their land's not going to be worth as much.
I mean, this is exactly like the movie from the 80s with Sam Shepard.
Jessica Lane country. That's what's going to go down. They're going to sell people out.
Scott, meet Senator Tester.
Hello, Senator. I talked to your office several times when me and you was beating
the drum pretty hard trying to get the livestock transparency act fast.
Thank you for everything you've done for us. There are thousands of farmers just like Scott out
there. And the reason they're in the situation there is because of bad political decisions.
These tariffs have destroyed the markets for farmers across the board.
Family farmers.
It's going to create more consolidation,
and it's going to raise hell with their food security in this country if something doesn't change.
The president, he put out a message on true social last hour saying that he's going to be meeting with President Xi of China
and that he will discuss soybeans.
Do you put much stock in that?
Does that make you feel better?
Well, I mean, what good is it going to do to discuss soybeans at almost November?
because Senator Tester can correct me if I'm wrong here.
But in November, the Brazilians will start cutting.
They'll be in full swing by December.
They don't need us.
I mean, you're going to wait to have a discussion over selling soybeans when Brazil's in full
board.
What bargaining power are we going to have then?
So my hope is that these farmers have learned their lesson and that they'll vote differently.
I have to say, please, if you made it this far on the video, we cannot do I told you so.
I told you so.
It might feel good.
Do you want to be right or do you want to win?
I want to win.
We can talk about how we were right here,
but saying I told you so and what did you expect and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
isn't going to help folks like this who got duped
and who voted for the wrong reasons, for the wrong guy,
isn't going to help us win them over to our side.
So I do think we have to be,
we have to be a little bit magnanimous around this stuff.
And I hope you can do that with me because I want to say,
well, what the fuck did you expect, buddy?
But that isn't going to help us win the next election.
So I invite you to say, I'm so sorry you got tricked and you're getting hurt.
We can do things differently next time or something.
I had to say, though, one of the reasons why this is happening is because of reporters like this.
We know that Donald Trump knew what Project 2025 is, but if you were to listen to Nora
Donald, she would have been like, you would have thought he had nothing to do with it.
No, that Donald Trump is disavowed Project 2025. He says that is not his campaign plan.
As you know. Yeah, Donald Trump, who is never lied before in his life. Anyways, so two things
have to happen. One, we got to reach out to the folks who are getting hurt by Trump and who
might do some things differently next time. Two, reporters got to stop being stenographers. I have to
start actually putting things into context. Because she could have to say,
Donald Trump, who has lied all the time, has said this, or whatever. All right?
But thank you for watching. If you like this video, please hit like on the video.
