Donald Trump is posting through it. He's posting through it. Things are getting worse and worse for the
President of the United States. And he's just trying to do what a lot of people do when they have things going wrong with their life.
Doom scrolling, doom posting. Trump's doing all of it. He got humiliated at the Grammys yesterday.
And he essentially admitted defeat over one of his biggest policy, I guess could we call it a policy?
one of his biggest policy accomplishments, not that he's done much, but he's admitting that it's
just not working. Here's Donald Trump getting attacked by Trevor Noah.
Of the year, congratulations, Billy Eilish. Wow, that is a Grammy that every artist wants,
almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense. I mean, because Epstein's island is gone,
he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton. So, oh, I told you, it's my last year. What are you going to do about it?
Donald Trump was going to do this about it.
He said Donald Trump is a TV critic and he should be the President of the United States,
but he's instead critiquing folks on TV.
The Grammy Awards are the worst, virtually unwatchable.
CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter.
There are airwaves any longer.
The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at Low Ratings Academy Awards.
Noah said incorrectly about me that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time in Epstein Island wrong.
I can't speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epsine Island,
nor anywhere close and until tonight's false and defamatory statement
have never been accused being there not even by the fake news media.
Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight and get them straight fast.
It looks like I'll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless dope of an MC
and suing him for plenty of money.
Ask little George Slopidopoulos and others how that all worked out.
Also, ask CBS, get ready, Noah.
I'm going to have some fun with you.
That's what the President of the United States is focused on.
Well, just keep in mind that none of this is good for Trump.
Like, this is really bad news for Trump.
And here's how we know because the polling's in.
People are voting and they are voting overwhelmingly against Trump.
Baby, Texas flipped.
Senate seat around Fort Worth.
That's exactly right.
Texas 9, Texas 9, because what happened in Texas 9?
It didn't just swing to the left.
It took a rocket ship to the left.
My goodness gracious, the Texas 9 Senate District election marches.
This was a district that did.
Donald Trump won by 17 points in 2024.
The Democratic candidate in the special election on Saturday,
hello, won it by 14 points.
That's an over 30-point shift to the left.
Any Republican, unlike Ron DeSantis, who doesn't take this seriously,
they should realize that this is very perilous.
They ignore this result at their own peril.
Ron DeSantis is right to say,
hey, special elections can be quirky,
But this ain't no quirk.
Congressman Pete Sessions from Texas basically told me he said,
no Democrat should ever win in North Texas like this.
Although we all...
Yeah, I remember I keep watching this,
but this is truly stunning that Democrat won in North Texas.
And it really is a canary in the coal mine
that this is just the beginning of this reaction
to what Donald Trump has been doing to the country.
I think voters are sick of it.
So Saddam, there was an ice storm.
31 points, that's not an ice storm.
No, that ain't no ice storm.
If you ignore this, you're going to ice yourself out of a majority come to midterm.
All right.
When we look at these special elections, and this is something you and I talk about a lot and look at very closely in between the federal elections.
What can they tell us?
Okay.
So, you know, you see this 31 point shift to the left, right?
If this would just one election, that would be one thing.
But it's the slew of special elections that together paint a picture.
And it's a picture that Democrats should love and a picture that Republicans should be.
really worried about because what are we talking about here? Okay, the average 2025, 26 special
election. Democrats are doing, get this, 12 points better, 12 points better than Kamal Harris did
in 2024. You know, that was a state special election that happened in Texas on Saturday.
If you look at the federal special elections, this 12 points is actually north of 15 points
on average. I was looking back to the history books. This looks a whole heck of a lot like what we
saw during the 2017-2018 cycle where you saw these Democrats.
outperforming how Hillary Clinton did in 2016, and what it had forecast, it forecast a net gain of
40 seats for Democrats. And I remember back in Pennsylvania, remember there was that South Michigan,
that was a congressional special election seat, but that was one in which the Democratic candidate
was able to actually win a deeply red Republican district. And that, of course, foretold
big Democratic gains come 2018.
Yeah, so don't count your chickens before they had, but this is a really good sign for
Democrats that it could very well be that there's going to be a huge retaliation at the voting
box for Trump. That's good news. And we will take the good news. And Donald Trump knows that
things are not going well, because not only are people voting literally against him, they're also
voting with their wallets. Ticket sales at the Kennedy Center have plummeted, the Trump Kennedy Center
that he labeled it, had plummeted to their lowest level since the pandemic following a leadership
shake up in February 2025 with over 40% of seats for major performances remaining unsold.
The decline marking a sharp drop from 93% capacity in 2024.
It's linked to artist cancellations, boycotts, and polarizing politically charged atmosphere.
There's been a drastic drop in audience.
Reports indicate that 43% of tickets sales have been down.
It also says here that over 50% of roughly 143,000 potential seats are left empty in the fall of 2025.
and several performers have, we've talked about a couple of them,
have canceled appearances and subscription sales,
have dropped by approximately 36% compared to 2024 levels.
And that's why Donald Trump, the Winer-in-Chief, has done this.
State the obvious, many performers have been pulling out of the Kennedy Center,
refusing to be a part of this Trumpian takeover of the arts institution.
It started with stars like Lynn Manuel Miranda, Miranda,
saying he didn't want Hamilton to be there.
You know, a lot of that happened last year.
But there's been a domino effect in recent weeks as well.
One of the biggest headlines, gosh, it was only four or five days ago,
was about the composer Philip Glass, who wrote a symphony honoring Abraham Lincoln
for the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy Center.
That was in 2022.
He finished that symphony.
He was going to debut it in June.
And Philip Glass announced, I don't feel comfortable.
The Kennedy Center right now does not have my values, is not sure my values.
and he withdrew. That was a major blow. That was a stunning move in the arts world just a few days ago.
But it's one of many examples of performers, of entertainment stars, not believing that that is the right stage for them at this moment in time.
That's right. And Donald Trump, knowing all that, said this. After one year review of Trump Kennedy Center that has taken place with contractors, musical experts, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, is a long ass. I'm not going to read all this, okay? I'm just, I'm not going to, there's no point to renew this.
What he's doing is he's closing the Kennedy Center and he is renovating it.
The reason why he's doing that, of course, is because no one's going.
Like the Trump name is not helpful.
I mean, look at Melania's ticket sales.
Melania's ticket sales for her documentary.
We've been talking about it.
Like, the theater has been empty.
They can't give those tickets away.
It's the same thing with this.
That Trump name, it's if you're,
a dictator or if you're an oligarch and you can make a quick buck, you don't mind giving some money
to Trump.
But if an average person, no, average people don't like Trump, they don't want to give money,
they don't want to vote for him.
It's very hopeful.
And apparently, the Kennedy Center staff was very much so blindsided by this, according to the Daily Beast.
Kennedy Center staffers were blindsided by President Trump's abrupt announcement that
he's closing the venue for two years to renovate it.
staff learned of the closure scheduled to begin on July 4th
from the president's rambling through social posts on Sunday evening.
And it says here it remains unclear how many staffers, if any,
the center will continue to employ during its closure.
Kennedy Center president Richard Grinnell told the team in an email Sunday night
that, quote, we will have more information about staffing and operational changes in the coming days.
Oh, baby, baby, baby.
A bunch of losers.
bunch of losers keep on losing i love it and we are going to ride this wave all the way to
november thanks for watching i'll see you soon bye
