Republicans are freaking out. They are losing their minds. And it's not happening behind closed doors. It's happening on TV. You have Ted Cruz literally exposing Republicans' worst fears. And I don't blame them because you've seen the polls. You know what it feels like in this country. You understand that Republicans and their voters are turning away from them.

I mean, J.D. Vance knows how bad this is because he's literally sending fundraising. text messages that say, if you can't give right now, don't. Groceries cost what they cost. It's like, whoa, wait, why do they cost what they cost? You're so close to getting it. Someone wrote here, groceries cost what they cost is an incredible statement to make when you're responsible for driving up prices, especially 70 days before an election. Someone else wrote trying to remember not to mention the rising cost of groceries in my fundraising text and getting so anxious that it's all I can talk about. And someone else wrote, something is so wrong with him. It's kind of fascinating. I mean, J.D. Vance didn't write that, but he might as well have.

Now, Speaker Johnson also is out on camera admitting that Trump's presidency is literally on the line. Good. Good. I'm glad you're worrying. Here's the bit of it. The president called me two nights before Thanksgiving last fall, and he said, Mike, we got to do a midterm convention. And I said, that's not a thing. And he said, making a thing.

Okay, so we're going to do a midterm convention. September 9th and 10th. First time in history, any party's ever done this. We're going to Dallas, Texas. Y'all could have been anywhere to come. And we're going to have everybody there two nights of urban media on national television. We're going to parade all of our stars across the stage. We're going to highlight the great work of people like Monica Dillow Cruz, okay?

We're going to talk about what we've done for the people. And then the president's going to look right in the camera and say, I am on the ballot, okay? Because even though his name isn't, right? His administration, his legacy, the American First agenda is. We've got to get people to turn out. Last hopeful point. I was on the phone with Newt Gingrich several months back. And he said, Mike, think about it.

I've talked to him all the time because he's one of the great strategists. He's one of the great historians of Congress. He knows this better than anybody. He said, Mike, this is the thing to tell people to make sure they know the hope. This is a tough one, this midterm. but we can win it. Hold the majority. Just hold the majority. Get people like Monica elected. This is one of the toughest races in America. You all know. We got to fight hard. We cannot take this for granted. As good as she is. They are fighting to take her down. You understand that. They're spending. What are they're out spending you?

Four to one right now. Okay. So it's going to come down to you, to all of us, all of us. But Newt says, hold the majority. And the next two cycles are so much brighter, brighter days ahead. Because in 2028, think of it. How many of you know we have a much deeper bends than the next. Democrats do for the presidential rates, okay? Right? They're going to run Gavin, Kamala, Pete Buttigieg, or AOC for president of the United States. I can't wait. I can't wait.

All right. So that's 2028. We'll do with AOC. Bless her heart. Okay, that's what we say. All right. Then you go to the next one in 2030. Now, this is where Texas really shines.

This one I'm about to tell you. This is very important. We're going to have the 10-year census in 2030, right? The census will reflect the mass population exits out of the blue states to the red. Everybody's leaving, California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois. Guess where they're coming? Texas, right? Florida, Tennessee, the Carolina.

So what happens is when the census reflects the population shift, we're going to get reapportionment, right? We're going to get more Republican seats in the red states where they belong. And guess what, y'all? Who says, Mike, at that point, after 2030, you guys can build a durable governing common sense conservative majority for a generation or longer, and that's how you keep the communist at bay.

Texas, baby. And they should be worried because CNN got a hold of a lifelong Texas Republican. And they are thinking about turning against this party. I'm telling you I would vote for the devil before I voted for Governor Abbott. I've been listening to Tala Rico. I've been listening to for the first time of my life, a lot of Democrats. I'm finding that I've been treated very respectful. Abbott's not going to get my vote.

He's just spewing rhetoric. Nikki, how do you feel? And I think the day after the election... Go ahead, Tom. No, finish your point. The day after the election, should he win, it's going to be business as usual. and these centers, data centers and Bitcoin mines,

and they're going to be able to just do whatever that they please because that's what they've been doing. Nikki, I'll give you the final last word. How do you feel? I feel the same way he does. I believe that Greg Abbott is just pandering to the Republican rule voters. He knows that he's made people mad. and now he's kind of scrambling, trying to fix that.

But honestly, this is not a red or blue issue. This is an American issue. As someone wrote here, good for both of them for being willing to change their minds and admit it publicly takes a lot of courage to do this. It does take a lot of courage. Now, listen, what you say on CNN versus what happens in the privacy of the ballot booth, we don't know, but it definitely is to me a canary and a course. whole mind, that there's something going on here. And Fox News, Fox News of all places, is warning Republicans

to get their act together because of rising costs. You know how bad it is when Laura Ingram is trying to be the voice of reason? Here's that. I mean, I guess he's hoping Trump and Neelon must save him, but he better get going in Texas. This is the thing that concerns me. I think there's a great deal of apathy with some of the candidates, but what concerns me even more, Laura, there's real apathy in the grassroots. I think some people are thinking we gave Republicans all the power in 24, House, Senate, White House. It really didn't follow through in some of these promises. The Senate's thumbing their nose at the base over the Save America Act.

Gas is 410 a gallon. You know, they're not seeing a lot of the things that they voted for. The Iran War is killing us. And we're 10 weeks out. And the problem that we have is that Trump's base is mid to low prop. It's tough to get them out in a non-presidential year. So not only are we suffering on the issues, we're suffering on just a base. turnout. They're really low propensity voters, which means it's going to be hard to get them

to the polls, November 3rd, unless we give them a real compelling cause to. Yeah, how about not having socialism? That's a compelling, compelling reason. And we don't want the border reopen because we just deported the highest number of illegal aliens in the history of the Trump administration this past month, with 50,000. That's not bad. Michael, do the Democrats think that South Carolina is in play if either candidate, going up against either candidate, either Graham or, of course, Norman. No. And, you know, South Carolina has really skipped any time there was a blue wave. I mean, it hasn't had a blue wave since 1998 when Democrats were able to topple the incumbent governor,

elected Jim Hodges, and re-elected Fritz Hollings for about the fifth time. But that was really the last time South Carolina was ever sort of a success story, had a good night. This particular candidate, she seems lovely, but she ran about 35,000 votes behind the last Democrat to win that congressional district. So she's also starting at an disadvantage. However, she does go out with her first ad tomorrow around the state. That's a boost. She's a little bit ahead of the curve. But I do think Ned's right that there's some of these states like Kansas and Mississippi that are going to sneak up on Iowa.

Yes. Yeah, I think there are a number of states that Republicans better get better get their act together. Iowa is one of them. Matt, Michael, both of you. Thank you. And this is happening at a time when Democrats are considering themselves very liberal and progressives are taking over the Democratic Party. Gives the game away here. Democrats who identify is very liberal or conservative.

You know, there used to be a lot of conservative Democrats, right back in 1999, 26 percent of Democrats self-identified as conservative. just 5% said that they were very liberal. It was a smidgen, a smidge and a smidge and a smith. Now that far left has gained considerably in power. Look at this. Now we're talking about a fifth of Democrats, 21% say they're very liberal. That conservative part of the Democratic Party,

adios amigos could buy just 8%. And when you combine the 21% who are very liberal with those who say that they're somewhat liberal, we're talking about three and five Democrats who identify as either somewhat liberal or very liberal with the very liberals, but much larger portion of the party. The far left, which used to just be a smidgen within the Democratic Party,

has gained considerable power, as you saw in New Jersey's 11th District. And good, because I actually think progressives have a vision for this country. Centrist just seem to be about, well, we need to defeat Donald Trump. We have to make sure that Donald Trump doesn't get more power. Sure. Okay, but what are you going to do with the power? Progressives actually have an answer for that. And that's what's so scary to Ted Cruz because Ted Cruz admitted it.

on national television that James Talariko right now, if the election were happening today, would win. What is the state of play in Texas? Well, listen, we have a very real race in Texas. I believe we're going to win. I think Ken Paxson is going to be the next senator from Texas. We're going to stay red, but it is a fight. It is a serious fight.

It's going to cost several hundred million dollars. The Democrats are flooding cash into the state of Texas, California, New York, York, they're pumping cash into Texas. And the result is, we have a fight on our hand. Here's the good news. Tala Rico's record is extreme. It is far radical left wing. He believes God is non-binary. He believes there's six different genders. He believes on our southern border, we should have a welcome, Matt, and welcome illegal immigrants into this country. He is genuinely extreme. He has voted in favor of boys and girls sports. He's voted in favor of allowing China to buy land in Texas, including land near military bases. Those are all left-wing views that are not where the voters of Texas

are. And so we got a campaign right now. We got to make the case to the voters. And I think we're going to win in November. I think Tala Rica would be a great Senate candidate for California. But thank God, Texas is not California. Thank God. And not for nothing. This is, you know, I'm glad. I'm glad. I'm glad Ted Cruz is telling the truth. Very rare for him to do that. He also got caught up in a bit of a pickle because here is something Ted Cruz, of course, you all know that the legend Dali Parton sadly passed away a few days ago. Ted Cruz wrote legend on a post about her and then someone changed their name to Ted Cruz's tiny. Oh, you can read that here. And Ted Cruz subsequently,

deleted that tweet. Why? Why? Could it be? They know something we don't? I don't care. Honestly, don't want to think about it. But anyways, it is a great moment in America. Republicans understand their power is fading. Donald Trump is a demented crybaby who's just interested in making money, not actually lowering costs. Progressives are taking over the party, winning elections that have a vision to change the mess and to fix the mess that Donald Trump has made, we just got to get them over the finish line.
