Donald Trump is going to do it. He's cornered. He's scared. The stakes are getting higher. And he has no way out.
Donald Trump, through reporting, we're now learning, is going to send American troops to Iran.
That's really interesting to me, because why would he need to do that when he just said this earlier today?
What did you mean by that? He said the war was militarily won in Iran. What did you mean by that?
Oh, I think we've won. We've knocked out their Navy, their Air Force. We've knocked out their anti-aircraft.
We've knocked out everything. We're roaming free from a military standpoint. All they're doing is clogging up the straight.
But from a military standpoint, they're finished.
Okay. If they are finished, then why is CBS reporting this?
The Trump administration is making heavy preparations for use of ground troops in Iran.
Now, remember, this is from, I'm just going to bring it down here, there you go.
It's from CBS, CBS, who is very much so connected to the Trump administration.
Pentagon officials have made detailed preparations for deploying U.S. ground forces into Iran,
multiple sources briefed on the discussions told CBS News.
Senior military commanders have submitted specific requests aimed at preparing for such an option
as President Trump weighs moves in the U.S., Israel-led conflict with Iran, sources said.
Mr. Trump has been deliberating whether to position ground forces in the region,
sources said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
It was unclear under what circumstances he would authorize a use of troops on the ground.
Now, the Oval Office is saying otherwise, they're saying, no, I'm not putting troops anywhere.
He told reporters in the Oval Office, if I were, I would.
certainly wouldn't tell you. Okay, well, interesting. Someone's leaking. Someone is heavily leaking
in this White House or in the Pentagon. Multiple sources are saying this, just so you know how this
works. Reporters can't just, like anyone can say anything, right? What reporters do and why
good reporting is so important is because what they do is they hear it from someone and then they
call someone else and see if they say the same thing. And then they'll call another person and see if they
say that. So they have to get the story verified from multiple people. That's why when it says
multiple sources briefed on the discussions, they wouldn't write that unless it were true. Okay?
So the fact that Donald Trump says that if he were, I certainly wouldn't tell you, to me,
it sounds like a five-year-old who's just got caught and is a little upset. But there's definitely
some veracity here to this reporting. Let's keep going. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt
said in a statement. It's the job of the Pentagon to make preparations in order to give the
commander-in-chief maximum optionality does not mean the president has made a decision. And as the
president said in the Oval Office yesterday, he is not planning to send ground troops anywhere at this
time. It goes on to say here that the military has held meetings to prepare for how to handle
the possible detention of Iranian soldiers and paramilitary operatives that the president decides
to put American boots on the ground, including where the Iranians would be sent to sources.
said. The U.S. is preparing to deploy elements of the 82nd Airborne Division into the Middle
East region. The planning involves the Army's Global Response Force and the Marine Corps's
Marine Expeditionary Unit. Thousands of Marines are being moved to the Middle East.
Three warships and about 2,200 Marines from an expeditionary unit departed California earlier this
week, according to U.S. officials. It was the second such Marine unit since the war began,
and it could be a few weeks before it's in place.
The first was sent it from the Pacific
and is still making its way into the region.
The movements underscore the Pentagon's effort
to expand military options available to the president.
All right, let's be honest.
The war's not over.
We don't know how long this thing's going to go on for.
What's going to happen, though, is Donald Trump
and the Republicans are going to pretend like
nothing's happening at all.
It's kind of like COVID,
where Donald Trump was,
like if we stop counting who has COVID, COVID doesn't exist anymore. Why are we counting the cases?
Because if we count the cases, then COVID is either getting worse or it's spreading. But if we don't
count, no one would know. I think it's going to be similar to this. I think Donald Trump is
going to keep messaging, as he says here, that we've won the war. The war is over. There's no more
a lot. But then he's also going to be doing things that obviously show that we're going to have more
involvement. But what the White House and Donald Trump's going to try to do is pretend like,
this thing's all over and it's not important anymore. Well, it's going to be hard to do when gas prices
continue to rise and when more and more American troops come back to this country in coffins.
It's going to be kind of hard to hide that. Now, Donald Trump was caught in a lie because he said
this about the leaders. Their leaders are all gone. The next set of leaders are all gone.
and the next set of leaders are mostly gone.
And now nobody wants to be a leader over there anymore.
We're having a hard time.
We want to talk to them, and there's nobody to talk to.
We have nobody to talk to.
And you know what?
We like it that way.
Okay.
Well, what's the reality here?
Trump had tried contacting the Iranian Foreign Ministry and Office of Kamani
regarding a ceasefire but was rejected every time.
So Donald Trump is not coming to this from a position of strength.
as a position of total weakness.
This is Fox News.
Most Americans expect Trump to send boots on the ground because Americans aren't dumb.
Might not vote the way that I'd wish, but Americans are not dumb.
But a majority oppose it.
This is the poll that's found that.
Now, again, this is Fox News.
Nearly two-thirds of Americans think that President Donald Trump will send U.S. ground troops
into the fighting against Iran, a new national poll indicates.
Reuters is...
Reuters Ipsos survey conducted Tuesday through Thursday also indicates that a majority of Americans
55% say they don't support setting ground troops into the operation against Iran.
Only 7% of those questions in the survey said they'd support a large-scale strike by American ground forces.
34% saying they'd back a more limited scope and curing by U.S. special forces.
That's crazy.
that's basically like polling like would you like a free puppy or would you like diarrhea for the
rest of your life it's like you don't get polling more obvious than that Donald Trump is truly
in the worst political position he's been probably since COVID and he's leading us the exact
same way now that's why someone like Joe Kent is so dangerous to this president because he's
been on the inside. He quit because of moral justified reasons. And now he's speaking the truth
about what really is and isn't happening with this war. Mostly deployed to the Middle East,
fighting the wars over there and just seeing how our country had been lied to and brought down
the wrong path in those wars and that we were getting sucked into another one and that the
American people didn't have the full story. And our country did not have a vital national interest
in this current fight.
I said, hey, I in good conscience, can't do this.
Because that was a promise I made to myself
probably 20-plus years ago when I was deployed to Iraq.
Once I realized after my first couple deployments
that we weren't there for the reasons
that our government told us we were there for,
I said, if it's ever my turn,
if I'm ever an adult in this situation,
I ever have a position of responsibility,
I will not, in good conscience,
send young men and women off to die on foreign battlefields.
I'm telling you right now,
he is a dark horse for
something. I don't know if he's going to run for president. I'll be a vice presidential pick,
but that is someone who the Trump administration wishes didn't exist because he is blowing a hole
through this whole thing. And clearly, it is very easy to blow a hole in it because it's all
made up and it's all lies. Lies that are dangerous and lies that are putting American troops
in danger. So thank you so much for watching. If you like the video, please hit like. We will keep
