There's something clearly going wrong with the president in the United States.
Now we're getting reporting that there are folks in the White House who are seriously worried about him.
And Donald Trump actually did make an appearance.
He didn't talk to any reporters, but he is out doing something.
And where is he?
This is according to minus touch.
He is heading to the golf course.
Trump took another unscheduled golf trip on Saturday.
As the federal government remains shut down, the press.
reported that reporters were positioned in vans at the bottom of the South Long,
unable to see Trump actually board the motorcade. Isn't that interesting? The motorcade
departed at 10 o'clock, despite no being disclosed on the public agenda. The setup highlights
the White House's careful management of optics, shielding the president's private leisure from
direct observation. Now, I've got to wonder why. Why is the press being secluded from Donald
Trump. We know that he disappears for every two weeks, every 28 days. He disappears for about
anywhere from four to six days. What is going on during that time? He doesn't talk to press.
Donald Trump, who is not shy at talking to press, he'll literally talk to anyone. But there are moments
during his presidency where they begin to actively hide him. And we don't actually know why.
The trip comes at a time when federal operations are disrupted and lawmakers are negotiating funding in
the past Trump said a president is responsible for voting a government shutdown. And as
minus touch says here, instead of engaging lawmakers, Trump will spend the morning at his golf resort,
a move that underscores Trump's priorities, the optics of leisure during a government crisis,
raised questions about how serious Trump is taking this. And also, I just can't get over the
fact that we don't know what's going on with his health. And they're clearly trying to shield him
from us. And we have to keep the drumbeat on this. Because what's going to happen is he's going to
come back either later today, tomorrow. They're going to act like nothing's wrong. There's going to
be makeup on his hands. But there is obviously something going on. And it's if legacy media,
corporate media, isn't going to talk about it, then we have to. We truly have to because we
deserve to know what's going on with the president. And if we're going to soon get president,
J.D. Vance. Now, we're not the only ones worried. We're hearing now, this is a pivot podcast,
where Kara Swisher says that she's talked to people in the White House, and here's what they had to say.
To some Trump people yesterday, some of the more reasonable Trump people, which there are,
I hate to tell you, but there are. And they were slightly worried because the crazies have taken
over in the Trump White House. And they were talking about things like, this was crazy,
that it should last 47 days because that's the number of his presidency. They're like, Taylor Swift,
They're like swifties, these people.
They're like they're interested in numbers.
And they're talking about a full like sort of prostration of Democrats.
You can see Russell vote getting a heart on about foreign people and getting rid of government.
And I think from talking to some Trump people, there's a group in the White House, which is like, let's let it last forever.
Like this is great.
Like they're very, they're giddy about it.
Yeah.
So we have a president of the United States who has people surrounding him who are.
happy that the government is shut down.
Average Americans are getting hurt.
But we also have folks in the White House who are a little bit more clear-eyed
and understand that what Trump is engaging with is worrying.
And they're worried not only about him, but the people he surrounded himself with.
And I want to switch gears for a second because we also have reporting from Lawrence O'Donnell
who, thank God, is ripping into the New York Times.
And here's what he had to say.
President of the United States who would post videos on a guy.
government-operated social media account that put fake words into Chuck Schumer's mouth,
which AI makes sound exactly like Chuck Schumer, and that fake language in that video would be filled
with Donald Trump-style profanity. Language Chuck Schumer would never use in public, but language
that the current president of the United States has shocked the world with repeatedly. Donald
Trump is the first president of the United States.
who has been heard publicly and deliberately,
using profanity repeatedly,
words that I can, but I will not use on this program,
because as every adult is supposed to know,
there are places where profanity is not appropriate.
No one taught Donald Trump that.
Who's going to bother to stop to talk about Donald Trump's use of profanity
when he is sending troops into American cities,
that he lies about being a war zone?
I agree that it's just too small an item in the daily transgressions of Donald Trump.
But remember, don't ever forget that the American news media almost unanimously agrees that Hillary Clinton lost her presidential campaign
because she used the word deplorable once to describe some Trump voters,
some of whom proved themselves willing to behave deplorably and violently.
for Donald Trump on January 6th when they became the only people in American history to attack
the capital of the United States on behalf of their presidential candidate.
There are people working at the New York Times today who will insist to you that Hillary Clinton's
use of the word deplorable was in and of itself deplorable.
Those same people have nothing to say about Donald Trump's use of language, absolutely nothing.
Those people believed that you cannot possibly be elected president in this country if you use the word deplorable to describe any voters in America.
Donald Trump calls us vermin.
Donald Trump got elected president calling American voters vermin if they didn't vote for him.
Hitler's word, vermin.
Donald Trump is now using fake AI sound of Chuck Schumer, saying,
that all Democrats are pieces of crap.
And of course, he doesn't use the word crap.
I just cleaned that up.
But all Democrats, all those wise pundits
who've been telling you for years
that Hillary Clinton couldn't possibly be elected in this country
if she's going to use a word like deplorable
in a political campaign referring to voters on the other side
can only make that argument now
by completely ignoring every single thing Donald Trump
has said publicly about voters who do not vote for him, every single thing he said.
When Hillary Clinton used the word deplorable, it was in a private fundraiser.
She did not intend for it to be heard outside of that room.
Sure, she was way too relaxed in that fundraiser.
It's not the kind of thing she would have said publicly.
But Donald Trump says deliberately and clearly into microphones for all the world to hear
that all Democrats are lunatics.
That's his word.
lunatics. Donald Trump thinks 75 million Americans are lunatics for voting for Kamala Harris.
Donald Trump has said the ugliest things about American voters that any American politician
has ever said. And Donald Trump went on to win the electoral college after saying those
things. And the New York Times simply doesn't know how to handle what Donald Trump says
and does. I don't know how to handle it either.
I feel my way through the Trump mud every day.
I don't confidently know what to ignore or what not to ignore.
But I do know I have to think about it.
I have to think about it all the time.
I have to think about it every day.
I have to face all of it.
And I have to decide what aspects of the Trump poison we should examine in this hour that we have
on this program.
Tonight, the New York Times and the Washington Press Corps are drowning in the deviancy and perversity of Donald Trump and his White House, all of whom everyone working in that White House supports this deeply perverse use of government-operated social media to put out poison and what is clearly raw insanity from the darkness of Donald Trump's mind and the White House Press Corps has just drowned in it.
it. They're lost in it. They have internalized it. They have fully accepted it. That is what the New York
Times and the Washington media have done so far this week. They have accepted it to the point
that when the Mirror Times wrote its big editorial about the government shutdown, everything it wanted
to say about it titled the real stakes of the shutdown. They didn't mention what Donald Trump
did instead of negotiating a way out of the shutdown. They didn't mention what he has done on social
media, putting a sombrero on Hakeem Jeffrey's head, putting fake words in Chuck Schumer's mouth,
profane, awful, stupid Trump words. They didn't even mention it. The real stakes of the shutdown are
insanity versus sanity. And the press corps does not know how to face it.
And that, I mean, sorry for the longer clip, but that is, first off, I think that was just really brilliant. Lawrence O'Donnell is one of the few people in corporate media telling the truth. But that's why it is so important independent media exists. That's why I'm so grateful that I have this platform to talk about this stuff without anyone censoring me. And I'm so grateful that you have given me this opportunity to speak my mind and for people to actually hear it. Because in order for things to change, you've got to do things differently. And I think what is happening right now,
now clearly is not working. And we need to have a real check, not only in this presidency,
but we also need to have people really fighting for the truth of what's happening. Because clearly
the New York Times isn't up for the task. So it's really important that we have independent sources
that are willing to do. And I'm one of them. And so if you like it, do hit like. And if you're not
