The Kevin Sheehan Show - Aiyuk & Daniels

Episode Date: June 17, 2024

Kevin opened with the conversation between 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk and Commanders' QB Jayden Daniels which Aiyuk posted to Tik Tok. It appears that Aiyuk and Daniels are excited about an opportunity to... play with each other after Aiyuk said the 49ers 'don't want him back'. Kevin talked Rory McIlory's meltdown at Pinehurst and the Nats' sweep of Miami as well. Joe House/The Ringer jumped on to talk US Open and NBA Finals to finish up the show.Download the PrizePicks app today and use code Sheehan for a first deposit match up to $100! Starting point is 00:00:02 You don't want it. You don't need it. But you're going to get it anyway. The Kevin Chean Show. Here's Kevin. They said they don't want me better. So some of you may have heard the sound that I will hear the sound that I just played coming into the show today. But if you haven't heard it, I will explain what you just listened to.
Starting point is 00:00:32 momentarily, but it has become a trending NFL story on this Monday, June 17th, 2024. 30 years ago today, 95 million Americans were glued to their TVs during the infamous O.J. Simpson car chase. 30 years ago today. The show's presenting sponsor, as always, is Wind Donation. Call them at 86690 Nation or head to windonation.com. Mention my name for a free, no obligation in home estimate. One guest on the show today, my friend Joe House, Joe's got some big time podcasts, a golf podcast, a gambling podcast, part of the Ringer Gambling Show Network. Joe will jump on with me in the next segment to talk about yesterday's U.S. Open.
Starting point is 00:01:29 I'll talk about it a little bit here in the open. to the show as well. And then we'll talk NBA finals game five. Yes, we've got another game tonight after Dallas destroyed Boston on Friday night. So what was that? Well, that was Brandon Ayuk, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, in a FaceTime conversation with Jaden Daniels, Washington quarterback. Brandon Ayuk posted that portion of his conversation with his good friend, Jaden Daniels, to TikTok earlier today. Iuk and Jaden Daniels are friends. They played together at Arizona State when Jaden was a freshman and Brandon was a senior many,
Starting point is 00:02:18 many years ago. But Brandon Ayuk, you can hear, he says to Jaden Daniels, quote, they say, said they don't want me back, closed quote. Jaden responds, quote, that's it. And Ayuk said, I swear, which prompts Daniels to shout out, my boy. As in he's excited because maybe Brandon Ayuk is available to be traded for. So those of you not up to speed on the Brandon Ayuk situation out in San Francisco. Brandon Ayuk is entering the final year of his rookie contract, but he wants a new contract.
Starting point is 00:03:12 He is coming off a 75 catch, 1,342-yard season, 7 touchdowns, and he's considered to be, you know, certainly in that conversation, of top 10 wide receivers in the NFL. We've seen so many contracts get done here in the offseason, Justin Jefferson's being the biggest, but Jalen Waddle, Amon Ross St. Brown, Nico Collins, and others. And there's been a lot of conversation here recently because C.D. Lamb wants to get paid.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Brandon Ayuk wants to get paid. By the way, Debo Samuel potentially is on the verge of signing a new deal as well. And over the weekend, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the talks between the 49ers and IUC have, quote, stalled a bit closed quote. IUC has not participated in any of the 49ers offseason OTAs or even the team's mandatory minicamp to which he is subject to a $100,000 plus fine because it is mandatory. he wants a new deal. He doesn't want to put himself at risk right now. He wants a new deal. And, you know, in many ways is essentially saying, if I don't get one, trade me.
Starting point is 00:04:34 So, reaction to this. My first reaction is this. I can't believe that the 49ers actually said to Brandon Ayyuk, we don't want you back. you know, it's very possible that Ayyuk is explaining to Jaden Daniels based on where the talks are and what they're offering, clearly they don't want me back. You know, if they really valued me and they really wanted me back, they'd be offering me Justin Jefferson money or Jalen Waddle money or Amon Ross St. Brown money. I don't think anybody's getting Justin Jefferson money. You know, $140 million total deal, $110 guaranteed, $35 million a year. That's $3 million more than A.J. Brown's average annual per year. I think Justin Jefferson
Starting point is 00:05:25 just, you know, set the high mark for non-quarterback contracts of all time. And I don't think any receiver is going to match that in this offseason. I don't think C.D. Lam's getting that. I don't think Brandon Ayuk's getting that. But Brandon Ayuk's going to get a big deal more likely than not. if it's in San Francisco or if it's somewhere else. I just can't believe that the 49ers actually said that they don't want them back. First of all, that would be foolish from their standpoint from a trade leverage consideration. You're not going to tell the world and have Brandon Ayuk's agent tell the world that the 49ers don't want them back. I think they do want them back.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I think they just want them back on their terms, and they've got other people to pay, including Debo Samuel. But Ayyuk and Daniels are longtime friends. And it certainly seems like, based on Iyuk posting this video to TikTok, his reaction, which was excitement in telling his good buddy, Jaden Daniels, that they don't want him back. And, you know, essentially saying maybe this can happen. Both of them seem to be excited. So let's talk about IUC. We've done it before, but let's do it again now. I would be totally in support of a trade for Brandon Ayyuk.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Now, I don't know anything about Brandon Ayuk, the person, but we've certainly seen the growth in his career so far, going from a rookie season of 60 catches, 748 yards, 5 touchdowns, averaging 12 and a half yards per reception, to last year catching 75 balls for 1,000. and 342 yards and nearly 18 yards per reception. He's a beast. I've been talking about IUC for a couple of years now saying, you know, back in 2021, 2021, 2022, I think he's underrated. Like, why aren't more people talking about this guy who just does not seem to be checkable at times? Now, look, the 49ers
Starting point is 00:07:41 have, Debo Samuel, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Kyle Shanahan, scheming up the offense. You know, say whatever you want about their quarterbacks. I think they've had average quarterback play with Garapolo and Brock Purdy, but the scheme has lifted and elevated everybody. But he's got, you know, he's got an incredible, you know, array of weapons that he's working with, and he's benefiting from those. Terry has not had the same situation here. And Terry's put up really good numbers, four straight years of a thousand yards or more to start his career without a quarterback and without anywhere near the weaponry around him or even the coaching and the offensive coordinating as a part of it. With that said, I think Brandon Ayuk's a better receiver than Terry McClearn.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I do. but I think they'd be just incredible together. And you throw Jahan in there where I still believe in Jahan Dodson's ability, his talent, what we saw when he was healthy in his rookie year, I think can be a lot more than even that with real quarterback play, a real coordinator and play caller. The idea in this day and age of giving Jaden Daniels, Brandon Ayuk, Terry McCorn, Johan Dotson,
Starting point is 00:09:08 is exciting, along with a coordinator who hasn't proven anything as a coordinator only in the NFL. And, you know, there are still some question marks for some of you around Cliff Kingsbury. And I'm not totally sure yet. I'm excited to see it because I know how smart he is and I know how good he is with quarterbacks. But I'd be totally in favor of it. What would it cost? Because you have to pay him a new deal. deal, which let's face it, they're going to have to give them $100 million deal, $75 million
Starting point is 00:09:44 guaranteed, $30 million a year average annual. It's not going to be Justin Jefferson's deal, but it's going to be Amon Ross St. Brown's deal. Amon Ross St. Brown got $30 million a year, 77 guaranteed, and an aggregate overall contract of $120 million. Jalen Waddle got 28.25 per year. So, yeah, it's going to be 30 million a year. It's going to be for Brandon Iyuk, whether it's the 49ers, whether it's Washington or somebody else. But because you have to pay him, I don't think you're giving up any more than a second round pick. Maybe a second and a mid-rounder, you know, a second and a fourth or a second and a fifth.
Starting point is 00:10:26 But it's not a first-round pick. You're not giving up a day one pick for a guy you've got to pay. If he had multiple years left on his deal, now we're talking about, you know, a first and maybe even something else. But you got to pay him. This is the issue that the 49ers are having right now. We get this conversation wrong all the time. I understand that. I think it's a second and a mid-round pick worst case. That would be my guess and I would 100% do it. But there would be a lot of competition for Brandon Ayyuk. The Pittsburgh Steelers, I think, would definitely be involved in a potential trade for Brandon Ayuk.
Starting point is 00:11:10 So it may just be some friends dreaming together, hoping together, but this was a big-time trending NFL story this afternoon. And one that, you know, for June 17th, is worth having the conversation because he may be available. If they don't get a deal done, what would the 49ers do? Well, they could franchise tag him. Actually, they don't have to franchise. tag him. He's got a year left on his deal.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Now, he doesn't have to report, and then he gets fined and creates that ugliness. But if they decided not to extend him and have him play out his rookie deal, they could franchise him next year. You know, they'd own his rights this year and next year. You typically don't go down the second franchise tag path unless you're, you know, a Washington organization run by the previous regime. but there would be a lot of interest in IUC. Washington would be competing. I think the Steelers would be near the top of that list of potential teams
Starting point is 00:12:15 that would be interested in IUC for sure. I'd be interested in him. We've had this conversation before, and I've said before that he would be a guy that I would very much be interested in. Look, I think after Justin Jefferson, Tyree Kill, Jamar Chase, I think still Devante Adams and A.J. Brown. If those five, and this is all subject to change, but those five would be kind of in the elite category.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Jefferson Hill and Chase for sure would be in that elite category. And this time last year, I would have put Devante Adams in that category. But I think Ayuk is part of the next group, you know. Amon Rae St. Brown, C.D. Lamb, I guess. Cooper Cup when he's healthy. Who am I forgetting? If I didn't have A.J. Brown in the top three, A.J. Brown. Debo. I mean, Debo, if you put him as wide receiver, him and his versatility, he's got to be healthy. Diggs. And then you get maybe to, you know, this is an ever-changing. list. We do this every year, and there are guys from last year like Pooka Nakuwa that you're like,
Starting point is 00:13:40 who? And then as a rookie, he blows up, and he'd probably be in most people's top 15. This time next year. I mean, a guy like Drake London after a year with cousins and a new offensive scheme in Atlanta might be, you know, moving up that list. A guy like, you know, some of the young guys, Marvin Harrison Jr., you know, Malik Nake. neighbors, et cetera. You just never know. A guy like Pittman Jr. in Indianapolis might be moving up the board if Anthony Richardson ends up being a viable answer, quarterback. It's tough, man. The young guys from last year, now all the young guys from this year. A lot of great receivers in the game. I think Ayuk is definitely in the conversation as a top 10 receiver. I think Terry is probably
Starting point is 00:14:28 more in the conversation of a top 15-ish kind of a receiver. You know, there's probably only a couple of spots between the two of them, but man, imagine the two of them together with Jaden Daniels, with Kingsbury, with Jahan, you know, with a tight end in a young tight end in Senate. I think it would be exciting. All right. Before we move on to Joe House, the golf yesterday. Look, I think that yesterday's U.S. Open was first of all riveting to watch. I know not everybody loves golf, but I think even just a sports fan had to be captivated by the last couple of hours of yesterday's U.S. Open at Pinehurst.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Bryson Deschambeau wins it with an incredible up and down at 18, 55-yard shot from a bunker, put it to within four feet, made the putt to win to par 18 and to win after Rory bogeed three of the final four holes, including just brutal short missed puts at 16 and 18. If you know golf and you know the Rory McElroy story, he's not won a major championship since 2014, he's ranked number two in the world behind Scotty Schaeffler. Roy's been a Hall of Fame golfer, four major championships, but none in the last decade, but one of the greatest golfers to ever play. But his mid and short-range putting have let him down many times previously. Yesterday was an all-time, like it's top five, top three all-time chokes
Starting point is 00:16:14 in a major golf event. He missed a two-and-a-half-foot puttut at 16 for par. He missed a 3-foot 9-inch put at 18 for par. These puts were not the same. 16 was a total gag job. He pulled the putt from 2.5 feet, and it was essentially, you know, level to slightly uphill. 18, it's downhill with a big break. Anybody that golfs understands on very fast screens, downhill with a break is really hard. But he's Rory McElroy. Pros make that put all the time. He missed both of them. He bogeys three out of the final four. He goes from a two-shot lead at one point on the back nine to losing. Devastating for Rory. I was rooting for Rory McElroy. I don't have anything against Bryson. Bryson is just big-time clutch. He does everything big. He hits it further than anybody other than anybody other than.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Rory. The two of them are the two biggest hitters basically out there. And Bryson's, you know, transformed himself here in the last year and a half, personality-wise. Now everybody loves them. I thought the crowd hit Pinehurst yesterday was amazing. A lot of people said that it was a total pro-Bricon crowd. I have a hard time believing that a lot of people there weren't rooting for Rory McElroy. I had Steve Sands on the show, on the radio show this morning. He thought it was kind of split. I really wanted Rory to win. I wanted him to get that
Starting point is 00:17:59 10-year, you know, gorilla off his back, but it actually was the worst moment of his career. Forget 2011 at the Masters where he blew a four-shot lead on the back nine. He was 25 years old then. He's 35 now.
Starting point is 00:18:16 And that's one that you really, I mean, I'm going to be rooting like hell for him at Trune to play. well, but that is one that I think it's tough to recover from. He did not stick around afterwards. He made his way to his vehicle. He didn't congratulate Bryson. He didn't do the, you know, the obligation that the guy that finishes runner up to do an interview with somebody, he was out of there. Would I preferred Rory to have stuck it out and done, you know, the gracious thing in defeat? Yes. I also understand this, well, I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:18:54 I'm going to give him a pass because I think he was in shock. I think after missing basically five and a half feet of putts on two of his last three holes, left him in utter shock and embarrassment simultaneously. You know, I think if he shows up at the travelers this coming weekend, I think you'll have an interview. I think he'll apologize probably for not, you know, sticking around. But it was not a great look. I'll concede that.
Starting point is 00:19:28 But I'm giving him a pass. I am because I think he was in utter shock with the way that ended. I mean, it's up there. You know, Vandeveld was more comedy in the 99 British Open, but that's up there with Greg Norman, the 96 Masters. I actually think this incredible weekend of golf on a course that really was so hard and tricky. Eight players finished under par. I think that's more than a lot of people thought, but Bryson's six under winning it.
Starting point is 00:20:01 I think it's going to be remembered more for Rory's choke job than for Bryson's incredible all-time bunker shot at 18. great golf during the weekend. How about, and I wanted to mention this here in the opening segment, how about the Nats? They swept the Marlins. The Marlins are terrible, I understand. But on Friday night, 8-1 win over the Marlins, McKenzie Gore, seven innings, one-earned run, five hits.
Starting point is 00:20:33 He lowers his ERA to 3.24 with just a shutdown performance. Saturday. I mean, are you kidding me? This guy, DJ Hers, who they brought up when Trevor Williams got hurt a week ago, week and a half ago, 13 strikeouts, no earned runs in six innings for the Nats. And then yesterday, a 3-1 win over the Marlins. And another incredible start by Mitchell Parker, six innings, one earned run allowed, lowering his ERA to 3.06.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Nats sweep the Marlins. they have won eight of their last nine, and if the season had ended at the end of the day yesterday, the Nats would have been tied for the third wild card spot in the National League and a half game behind the Cardinals for the second wild card spot. They are 35 and 36. It is all about the incredible and shocking starting pitching by the Nats. Irvin's ERA 3. McKenzie Gore's 3.24. Mitchell Parker's 3.06. Before he got put on the injured list,
Starting point is 00:21:50 Trevor Williams at 2.22. And now DJ Hers after a couple of starts, 3.77. I mean, Patrick Corbin's the problem, obviously, but their starting pitching has been amazing. and it's been great to watch this team and to see how well they're playing. And they're going to have a chance a month from now, hopefully to make a decision on whether or not to be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline. I'm sure that the learners might not give Mike Rizzo the flexibility to make the call there, but we'll see.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Really, really nice run for them. Remember, they lost those three stories. straight to the Mets at home. Mets have been playing great, by the way. And since then, they've gone on a run of eight out of nine. They play Arizona, a team that's actually played well recently, starting tomorrow night in a set at Nats Park. But they've got an opportunity here still with some lesser teams on their schedule to get above 500 after Arizona. It's Colorado on the road. Then they play the Padres. That's actually a big series. series. And then we're at the end of June, man. We're a month away from the trade deadline.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Congrats to the Washington Nationals. One other quick thing. We had Eric Flack. I had Eric Flack on the show on Friday. Eric Flack talking on Friday, WUSAT TV Channel 9's Eric Flack, about the city's sports economic impact study, which was basically a study to, you know, prove out the viability of bringing Washington back to the RFK site. And he, Eric Flack said that he was essentially looking for a piece of information that was not made available in that sports economic impact study, which was, you know, how do we finance the commander's new stadium? You know, that wasn't in there. And he said this was paid for this study by taxpayers,
Starting point is 00:24:11 so that should be part of the Freedom of Information Act. And it should be available and should be made available. And the two of us on Friday show, we discussed that the possibility exists that they're not, not putting that into the study results because it would work as a competitive disadvantage in their negotiations to bring the team back and other potential negotiations like potential funding mechanisms, getting the best possible rates from banks and having, etc. Well, Eric went for that information and the city wrote back to him for his open records request saying that they're not
Starting point is 00:24:55 going to disclose that information because, quote, it would result in substantial harm to competitive position. So there you go. It may be your last opportunity. Boston's a six and a half point favorite at my bookie tonight. The total is 2.10 and a half. That's the lowest total of the series so far. All four games have gone under the total and by a lot.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I mean, the total opened up in game one at 216. It was down to 211 and a half in the last game, and it finished at 206. So it hasn't been that close, and now it's down to 210 and a half. That over-under has been coming down game by game. Who knows? I wouldn't touch it personally. I don't like either side either in this game. The action's pretty split on both sides, but I do like Boston to win the game, I think. But my bookie's the place to not only bet the NBA finals, the NHL Stanley Cup finals, which are still alive, and then they've got everything you need for your NFL upcoming season, all of the futures numbers, all of the prop bets.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Just go to mybooky.ag or mybooky.com using my promo code, Kevin, D.C. Jumping on with me right now is my good friend Joe House, at House from DC on X. Joe hosts Fairway Rowland. It's a podcast about golf, gambling. He's got East Coast Bias, another podcast, which is part of the ringer gambling show. And Joe is into golf. He is into gambling. He's into NBAs and everything. But more importantly, Joe's a great guy. He's from D.C. And we love having Joe on. And we've got two,
Starting point is 00:31:11 you know, the two top sports stories right now or what happened yesterday to Rory. And that's the way I've sort of presented it on this show and even on the radio show. I think the bigger story yesterday is Rory legitimately choking on two of the final three holes. He bogeyed three of the final four, as you know, but two of the holes, you had putts totaling about five and a half feet that he missed more than Bryson coming up big on 18 and winning it. How did you describe it in the aftermath? Well, it is fair to call it, you know, a Rory choke and also fair to start thinking about
Starting point is 00:31:56 contextually, you know, where does this choke fit in the annals of golf chokes that we've seen? But me personally, the argument that I made to my co-host, Nathan Hubbard, on the Fairway Roland podcast on the Ringer podcast network, is that, you know, we have to, if we're going to acknowledge the choke part, that we have to also recognize how incredible Rory was through the first, you know, 14 holes and how he closed the gap
Starting point is 00:32:27 against Bryson D. Chambot. And Dichambeau, you know, had a lead that should have been insurmountable, proved to be insurmountable. But, you know, Rory, we're only talking about this because Rory was standing on the 15th T at eight under,
Starting point is 00:32:45 and Bryson was coming up the 13th hole at 6-under, and it felt like all Rory had to do was go in either at even par or even he could give up one shot, but he couldn't do is give up a free shot. And that's why we're in this mode of, you know, how big a choke was it for Rory, right? Yeah, I mean, it's all time. I mean, if Rory, look, this course was really difficult,
Starting point is 00:33:11 and if Rory had bogeed 15, 16, and, 18, or if he had bogeed 16 and 18 the same way he bogeed 15, which was a run-of-the-mill bogey that we saw many times throughout the weekend, if not worse than a bogey, it would be one thing, but it was the nature of 16 and 18 and missing these ridiculously short putts. And look, anybody that's played golf, and I talked about this understands that a downhill, you know, put on those greens with a big break is a tough put, but it's not supposed to be tough for him. And the first one he missed from two and a half feet,
Starting point is 00:33:54 he just pulled. And I think that's really where we put it. It may not be Vandeveld, it may not be Norman at the 96 Masters, but this will be a memorable choke of all time. because Rory hasn't won in 10 years, a major, and he has struggled, right, Joe, with mid and short-range putts, no matter how many long putts he poured in early in the round? You can go back and look at the numbers coming in from the 5-to-10-foot range. He is one of the worst putters in majors over the past 10 years.
Starting point is 00:34:35 So it's really a credit to how good he is and the other aspects of his game. that he's been so competitive, the first guy in 100 years to finish solo second at the U.S. open and consecutive years. But the thing that he hadn't done, and the reason why we're talking choke, and the reason why we need to do some some psychologizing here, Kevin, is because he had not missed any put less than, you know, three and a half beat. He was 457 out of 457 or whatever the number was. Yeah, 496 out of 496 to be exact.
Starting point is 00:35:08 There we see, I knew you would have it handy, until I got to the 16th screen of the U.S. Open with a chance to win the U.S. Open. And so as we try and diagnose this and prescribe remedies, the first place has to be the six inches between his ears because it doesn't have anything at all to do with his golf town. He had a top 10 day across the board in terms of the statistical categories. he finished in the top 10 putting wise for the day, which makes sense because he made a ton of birdies all the way up until we got to the 15th hole. But I argued on the podcast
Starting point is 00:35:50 and I have been advancing this case for a while now that I think he needs a different caddy. And it's not necessarily because I think that there's anything wrong with Harry Diamond, his buddy, or that there's anything wrong with the idea of having a buddy on your bag. I mean, the players
Starting point is 00:36:07 are ultimately responsible for making the call on what they select and what they, you know, they're responsible for execution. The problem I have is we've seen so many times now that Rory gets in his own way. He's his own worst enemy, and there is something that happens in his brain that causes this misfire, and we can go through, you know, over the past 10 years of how close he's come to winning a whole number of different majors that haven't happened, and the mistakes have been mental, not golf-related. And so, you know, if he had somebody on the bag,
Starting point is 00:36:47 now I think the choice to hit seven iron on 15, and 15 is what really got the ball rolling in the wrong direction, he hit, he had too much golf club, he was lucky to save bogey. His caddy, you could tell from the replay, was arguing for an eight iron. and the caddy didn't agree with Rory's choice of a seven iron. And that was, you know, to me, the thing that started the little bit of, you know, impairment to his confidence.
Starting point is 00:37:20 And so on 16, great drive hits it middle of the green, 16, that's a makeable birdie putt, and then he leaves it at a distance that every single pro makes that three-footer, the two-and-a-half-footer every single time, and he didn't, and that was it. Yeah, no, it's a great point on 15. Obviously, he thought he could get, you know, the height out of it, and he didn't. It should have been an eight iron because it would have been better to be a little bit short there. I mean, these greens and hitting the right spot, look, I talked about number five. Number five was about as unlucky as you could get all weekend long. He hits a brilliant shot into that par five and shouldn't be walking away with anything less than a birdie. And that thing not only comes off the green, it doesn't even go. into the bunker goes into the waist and it's a bad lie. He makes bogey. That's a two-shot swing.
Starting point is 00:38:13 But the put on 16 more than any other is the one in which you've got to be kidding me. There was nothing to it. At least that's the way it was described. And he pulled it from two and a half
Starting point is 00:38:28 feet. Like Joe, I've played golf with you before you could make that put. Not in that spot we couldn't. But that's the one where I just wonder, and we saw the reaction afterwards, and we'll get to that in a moment, this is going to be a hard one for him to get over. That's clearly the case. And, you know, 16 is the one where we can't be gracious. We can be gracious about the miss on 18. Because Kevin, you and I have that put, you know, often enough at our little club right in the outskirts of Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 00:39:05 That downhill, that's, you know, three feet, that, you know, if you just don't put the putter face squarely on it, it's an edge putt. You never think about, you know, am I going to try and hit this outside the hole? That one I could be generous about the putt on 18. The put on 16 is just not missable for a guy like Rory. Yeah, really, the one at 18 for a pro for the number two, player in the world shouldn't be missable, but it's a much different putt than the one he had on 16. So what did you say about him bolting right afterwards? No acknowledgement, no handshake with Bryson,
Starting point is 00:39:46 no obligatory interview with NBC. What was your take on that? I hated it. I hated all of it. I understand it, but, and I do think, you know, as we're taping this, he hasn't come out with the big meaiculp and he's not done the full media blitz that I think will come. I think it's within the next 24 hours where he's going to acknowledge that he made a mistake. He's going to acknowledge how great Bryson played. He will be gracious about it. But it was, you know, it kind of validated, confirmed all of the criticisms of Rory over the years about, you know, when he's confronted with, you know, a wrong kind of outcome that he doesn't, he can't be big enough to get outside of it and be magnanimous.
Starting point is 00:40:43 So I thought it reflected very poorly on him, and we're at this moment where the two tours are about to announce the live tour, the PGA tour, are going to come together. Rory has played as big a role as anybody on that combination. and, you know, he's going to have to be carrying the water for the vision going forward, and all anybody is going to be able to think about in the context of this business deal that's about to happen is that Rory punked out that he had an opportunity to think about the greater good for the game. He had the opportunity to be, you know, there for Bryson. and we just saw this, and this is what's making the kind of round in golf Twitter nerddom, is Bryson, how gracious Bryson was at the PGA championship,
Starting point is 00:41:37 when Zander Shockley made a birdie on the last hole and beat him. I mean, Bryson made a birdie on the last hole and was hoping for a playoff, and then Zander came along and topped him. Well, you know, Rory was in a position where he could have done the gracious thing and been supportive of Bryson. But it reveals a kind of a character flaw that for critics of Rory, I think they kind of have a point. Yeah, I think anybody that's followed him would have loved to have seen him stay
Starting point is 00:42:14 and be gracious in defeat. My thought, Joe, was this was, he was, there was a bit of shock here with this one. And I'm giving him a bit of a pass on this one. Again, my preference, of course, would have been for him to stick around, congratulate Bryson, do the interview, and then take off. But I think he was in shock and I think he was also incredibly embarrassed. Like there is, you know, we understand that this is part of his, you know, MO, you know, the short to mid-range putts in big spots, but we've never seen anything like that. I mean, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that, that's, that's, how he was a
Starting point is 00:43:12 a couple of years ago, which for those who don't follow the sport was not particularly well liked by people on the tour, um, not necessarily a big fan favorite. Uh, and now, uh, and now he appears to be. Why? I think there's a couple of things, but at the heart of it, he's growing up a little bit. And he himself has said that the passing of his father had kind of a profound effect and did help him get outside of himself perspective-wise. It's also the case that he had an injury. He had a hand injury. In fact, it was at the Masters a couple years ago. I had to get surgery.
Starting point is 00:43:54 he was out of the game for a little while, and he had to go to other folks and, you know, find some support. And that experience also, I think has led to, you know, increased maturity. But I think more than anything, the live poor has been very good for him
Starting point is 00:44:17 because it has him out of the public eye for the most part. And instead, the way that he's been in the public eye is by YouTube. He has a very popular YouTube channel with like 800,000 followers or something, and he's putting out content in a controlled environment with people that are incented to be, you know, fun and friendly and entertaining, and he's fun and friendly and entertaining with them,
Starting point is 00:44:44 and he's getting reps by way of this YouTube thing at being, you know, collegial, like showing the capacity for being lighthearted, for self-awareness, for, you know, being, you know, a little bit self-effacing even. So, you know, he's showed up on the major stage now, understanding better, I think, how to be an entertainer. And it's right at this time in professional golf when eyeballs are on it, where we have a bunch of players who it feels like they're kind of a different
Starting point is 00:45:20 to the game, and it's a crucial moment in terms of grabbing the eyeball, and he's put himself above everybody else because he understands the entertainment value, that we're all sitting there watching. It's on television. It's a TV show, and here we have a guy who understands the entertainment component. The nice thing for him is his game has come along with it. You know, three extraordinary finishes in the first three majors this year capped off obviously by this U.S. Open thing, but more than anything, I think he's grown up, and those are a bunch of the factors that
Starting point is 00:45:54 have gone into the growing up. Yeah, and I think sometimes we forget that these guys are, you know, in their early to mid-20s when they can be insufferable and lack self-awareness and be a little bit self-consumed, but you know, he is, I'll tell you what,
Starting point is 00:46:10 he is a lot, man, and I wonder with more, you know, as we get him back into our lives on a more regular basis. I wonder how it will play. He's very, he's incredibly high strung. He's, you know, an incredible competitor, and he's going 150 miles an hour during the
Starting point is 00:46:31 round, and everything that he does is big. But even when, you know, it's over, he's still going 150 miles per hour. Yeah, and he's also, it seems to be, you know, still. wanting approval. He doesn't have that full confidence, right? Yeah, he was trying, he's trying very hard. Yeah, he went on the live from with the Golf Channel guys. It was super generous with his time.
Starting point is 00:47:03 He had that whole interactive thing with Johnson Wagner. Yeah, that was crazy. Wagner. Yeah, well, I mean, you know, it's a very cool thing. Good, good for the Golf Channel for happening upon this. You know, they have a former pro in the form of Johnson Wagner attempting to replicate shot or experiences that guys are encountering over the course of the round. Johnson Wagner tries to do the 55-yard bunker shot, the hardest shot in golf for
Starting point is 00:47:26 everybody, including the pros, and messes one up. And then Bryson happens upon the scene, jumps into the bunker with him, encourages him, and gives him a little tip, and Wagner hits a perfect shot. And, you know, it's like a feel-good kind of moment. So kudos to Bryce and kudos to the live from guys. But, you know, that was, it gives you a little bit of a better feel for what he's capable of and making himself likable. Yeah, for those that missed it, Johnson Wagner, who is a former pro and works for the
Starting point is 00:48:03 Golf Channel, does some great instructional videos as well. He was doing a live shot and, you know, basically trying to replicate. as Joe mentioned, the Bryson D. Shambo shot out of the bunker, which was basically, they gave it, you know, to get to where he got out of that, they gave it like a 1 to 2% probability. But long story short, Wagner tries the shot and overshoots it and then here comes, Bryson shows up during the live shot, and Wagner tries another one and puts it to 4 or 5 feet, which was a pretty amazing back and forth. and result between the two of them. So that, by the way, that bunker shot's going to be remembered. I still think like if we think about the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst in five years, it's Rory that will remember first.
Starting point is 00:48:58 And then we'll say, also, let's not forget, Bryson was in big trouble on 18 and had that unbelievable bunker shot. And I wonder if he had to make par on that hold of force a playoff, if it would have happened. But I still think ultimately this is remembered for Rory, you know, basically soiling it. I mean, both of those things will be the way we remember. It'll be both of those.
Starting point is 00:49:26 That bunker shot will live forever. And, you know, the good folks at Pinehurst, I hope they come up with something to catch all the balls because every resort guest, when they come through there, is going to be trying to throw a ball into that bunker and try that shot on 18 at their team. at the end of their round. I don't know what they could put up from netting
Starting point is 00:49:44 to protect that building. But yeah, it'll be both of those things, I think. So what do you think happened to Scotty Schaeffler? I'll just tell you real quickly. I had Sands on with me this morning on radio, and Sands was walking with him, and I think he said Sam Burns on Tuesday, and he couldn't believe it,
Starting point is 00:50:02 but Schaeffler told him it was the first time he had ever been at Pinehurst. And so that first Tuesday going around the course was the first time he had seen it, which I thought was pretty interesting. But what do you think happened to Sheffler this weekend? Well, that's definitely part of the answer. Yeah. Which is an experience there. And that is not a place where you show up. It is unique perhaps in all of the world in this way.
Starting point is 00:50:33 I mean, Augusta has the reputation for not letting somebody show up. for the first time conquering it. We have a couple recent examples of guys. You know, Love Big Air Beirg played it for the first time and finished solo second, you know, played the tournament for the first time. And Will Val Torres played super well at early in his career in Augusta. But Pinehurst is not a place. It is, there are no greens like it anywhere that these guys play.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Really, not just the U.S. tour, but you have to go to Australia to find anything similar. the things working against Scotty. In the first place, the PGA Tour, you know, did themselves no favors, right? They put Jacks event, the memorial at Mirfield Village in Ohio, the week before the U.S. open. Now, Jack Nicholas suffers no fools. That golf course is super hard. And he loves, you know, luscious, rough. And it's a super challenge.
Starting point is 00:51:34 He does not want anybody coming in there and shooting double-distance. digits under par. So it's a slog. It's a grind. Sheffler won that golf tournament and then had to turn around from, you know, a four-day slog in Ohio and get himself down North Carolina and start trying to acclimate. The other thing is, and this is, you know, would be fair to Scotty, he had a baby. So, you know, maybe poor timing for a guy who is so accurate with, you know, off the tea and went with his iron play to miss the six-month window where the majors aren't occurring in terms of the baby-making time, we set that aside, right? You know, there was a possibility who was going to have to miss the Masters of the PGA
Starting point is 00:52:19 championship was at risk. They fortunately had the baby, but what having the baby did was eliminate the opportunity for him to go to Pinehur and play for a few did. Yeah, true. Right? Yep. So he was exhausted from winning the memorial. He had not experienced Pinehurst at all.
Starting point is 00:52:39 You don't show up there and immediately sleuth those greens. He was confounded by the greens the whole time. He finished, you know, he made the cut on the number and then finished in the bottom five of putting for the week. And he said he never could figure out the read. And you know what? We watched it. Scotty, we agree. You never could figure out the read.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Why, by the way, was Muirfield Village the week before this year? There's no good explanation. It is the PGA tour with the signature event this year has, you know, attempted to put some of these events in the run-up to majors. They did the same thing with the Arnold Palmer invitational going up, you know, right into the Masters. And this week is another signature event. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Travelers. the travelers up in Hartford, another $20 million first where they expect all of their top players to go play. So it's three great weeks. Yeah. Yeah. It's Memorial, U.S. Open and Travelers back to back to back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Well, I can't wait for Trune next month, especially the Rory and the Bryson angle. One other quick thing on the golf and then we'll talk some basketball. I think Tiger probably walked out of there on Friday thinking that he's starting. Martin to get it together. He actually played pretty well, and very conveniently, I don't think there was a limp either day. You know, he didn't make the cut for those that didn't follow it. He shot 74 and 73, but he actually hit it well, and he played pretty well, and he didn't, you know, he finished both rounds, and he seemed to be healthy. What did you make of Tiger Woods's two days at Pinehurst?
Starting point is 00:54:29 Yes, so I was thrilled by the front nine on Thursday. Right. It was captivating. It felt like, oh, my gosh, the physical ailment, he has finally got them under control. He has, you know, figured out the feel of Pinehurst. You know, he's been around there a lot of times competed in the U.S. opens there multiple times. And he was channeling, you know, some of that old Tiger Magic. and then reality kind of, you know, kicked us in the butt.
Starting point is 00:55:03 I don't think that he is, even with the quality of play that we saw out of him, it's not, he can't be consistent with it. He doesn't have even 36 holes of that in him. He is getting better. This Pinehurst in terms of the physical challenge, it's relatively flat, and the weather was hot. And the hot weather is a good thing for Tiger. Very good, right?
Starting point is 00:55:30 Yeah, because of the back. Under those circumstances, you would say, well, this is the best kind of, best case scenario, except for Pinehurst is impossible, just to start with. And, you know, you can bring as much of, you know, experience to bear as you want if you're not, you know, sort of perfect in a bunch of different categories. It's easy to get sideways. And he wasn't, he wasn't bad. he just wasn't good enough.
Starting point is 00:55:59 Is he scheduled to play anything else, Joe, other than perhaps Trune? No. I mean, he had earlier this season said that he might. Once a month. He was going to try him. Yeah, once a month, exactly. But then he hasn't followed through on it. And the only event that I think that's on the calendar that might, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:21 fit the bill for him, I don't see him playing the Scottish Open. and that would have been the only one that I can kind of think of as a tune-up to get over there, get acclimated, but I don't think he wants to risk playing four rounds of anything in advance of a major now. So I don't see him playing until true. All right, Joe's going to stick around and talk some NBA. The finals got extended to a fifth game tonight in Boston
Starting point is 00:56:50 after the Mavericks blew out the Celtics on Friday night. We'll get to that right after these words. from a few of our sponsors. Joe's a big golf guy, a big NBA guy, and during football season does a lot of football gambling-related content as well. But while I have you today, we should talk NBA because it didn't end on Friday night in Dallas. The Mavericks blew out the Celtics to extend it to a fifth game tonight in Boston. Did you think Friday night was more of what we see a lot in these series? A game in which it gets sideways early, and in the case of Boston, they're already up 3-0,
Starting point is 01:01:26 and they just kind of packed it in and said, we'll end it at home on Monday night. Or did you see something from Dallas that has legs that's a little bit more lasting, and we might see more of that tonight? So a tiny bit of both, but much more the former, which is to say, Boston not being able to get anything going, they didn't get a very friendly whistle. You know, they were looking at Scott Foster, like, hey, you know, the physical play. that Dallas showed up with was not translating into fouls
Starting point is 01:02:00 for Boston, but Boston was out-rebounded by 10 rebounds in the first quarter. They were out physical. They were on the wrong side of rebounding. They lost the rebounding battle by 21 rebounds, and they were just not up to
Starting point is 01:02:16 the level of energy that Dallas brought. And, you know, credit to Dallas, you know, Luka started playing a little bit of defense. And Dallas, you know, was able to really put the game out of reach by halftime. Boston couldn't put any runs together. But I think that, you know, on the other side, if you want to be a little bit nervous for Boston,
Starting point is 01:02:40 there is a big difference between the Celtics with Christop's Porzinger and without. And Dallas, you know, showed some adjustments defensively. So, you know, Al Horford needs to be a threat from three. Well, he took one three-pointer. in game four. Boston has been living with corner threes. They're averaging nearly 15-corner-3. They took seven on Friday.
Starting point is 01:03:05 They've been incredible in terms of finishing in the paint at the rim. They were like 82% through the first three games. They shot, they were like less than 60% in that category. So across the board, not good, but, you know, if balance has come upon something in terms of their defensive schemes, where they're starting to get acclimated to closing out on the three-point shooters of Boston and with Porzingis, you know, not in the mix, but that would be the reason for some concern if you're Celtic faithful, but a little bit nervous.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Look, game three, 19 of their first 22 points Dallas had were, you know, right at the rim without Porzingis there. They could certainly use them, I mean, defensively more than anything else. What have you made of just like, so we go into these NBA finals and everybody's talking about Lucas as if, you know, he's the best player in the game, you know, a year removed from everybody agreeing that Yokic is the best player in the game. He's never won an MVP. He doesn't have a ring at this point. And, you know, after the first two games, the story isn't him.
Starting point is 01:04:17 The story is actually Kyrie Irving and how poorly he played. So now, you know, game three is all about. Kyrie and then after that game, Game 4 is all about Luca and, you know, Luca I think played well. And to be honest with you, I don't think he's the worst defender I've ever watched when he's healthy. I think the health has something to do with it. He also, by the way, kept his mouth shut for 48 minutes for the first time in his career on Friday night. But I guess it helps when you have a 35-point lead most of the night. And then for tonight, it's like everybody's talking about Tatum. he's got to close them out. And to me, I don't know about you, Jalen Brown is easily the MVP of this
Starting point is 01:05:01 series as of now. We'll see what happens tonight and if it goes beyond tonight. But it's just, it's manic with how quickly the focus goes from one player and legacy and where they're standing is. And, you know, is this Kyrie's biggest game of his career since Game 7 in 2016? in game three. It just, what do you make of that? And then do you agree that tonight is probably a little bit more about Tatum than anybody else? You know, to the first part of this, it's just a reminder of where we are on the sports calendar and how close we are to it being quiet, at least until the Olympic start, right? We have to manufacture. There's so many games, I mean, so much time, except for Wednesday, Friday,
Starting point is 01:05:52 last week, game three, game four of the NBA finals. There's a lot of time between these games, and so folks are having to come up with narrative. I think it's largely media-driven. The most interesting thing to me is not that any individual player is going to swing the outcome. It's the fact that Boston has been such a good team.
Starting point is 01:06:14 Over the balance of the season, and Boston as a team, the style of offense they play is perfectly suited for their personnel. and it took Dallas a little while with a punch in the face for Dallas to figure out, you know, rotations to try and come up with a defensive team to get out to Boston shooters because they live at three-point line, but they're very, very effective at it. So I don't, I mean, I expect Tatum to have a fine game, but the outcome of the game and the series
Starting point is 01:06:45 is not dependent on Jason Tatum, as long as he's on the floor. Boston has as good a chance as any. You're not crazy with Jaylen Brown is minus 2.30 in the betting markets to win the MVP. I mean, he's a presumptive favorite to win the MVP. He's been the most impactful for Boston because he's asserted and showed us a physicality, especially. He's been protecting the rim. He's near the lead for the series in Block Shot, Jalen Brown.
Starting point is 01:07:14 And, you know, he's also getting to the free throw line. So that makes a ton of sense. as well, this is a seasoning experience for Dallas. And what we've observed is that their role players are not as good as Boston's role players. Derek Jones Jr. and PJ Washington and Josh Green and Hardy and Dante XM, not as good as Derek White and Drew Holiday. So that has been the biggest factor thus far.
Starting point is 01:07:47 but the reason for Dallas to have hope tonight is, you know, Luca is still a one-man wrecking ball, still capable of a 50-point game, still capable of being, you know, the guy in the last four minutes of a game. This is why folks were rightly critical of him in game three. He fouled out of game three, and he was yapping the whole time at the refs, and the calls were the right calls. but that game was you know a nip and tuck
Starting point is 01:08:18 you know a basket here basket there with four minutes left he fouled out and Boston won game three on Dallas's floor and that's why we're sitting here looking at a closeout possibly tonight yeah I agree with what you said like to me as someone who loves this sport what's been
Starting point is 01:08:37 most impressive more than anything else is just how good Boston is I mean, even in that game three that you just referenced, they had a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter, and we realize that these leads in the NBA can evaporate. But in the postseason, you would have thought that they would have closed them out. But still, back to the – so that is, to me, the most impressive thing. And I would be shocked, honestly, if Dallas made this a series.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I think Boston with or without Porzingis will figure out a way to win tonight because I think they're just better. and they're deeper. But still, the individual discussion is interesting. And if you were, you know, to have to identify the most intriguing storyline in terms of a player in this series, who would it be? one a would be because he's a super duper star either the best or the second best or the third best player in the league
Starting point is 01:09:43 depending on your you know your fan affinity but one b no joke kevin is drew holiday and what boston was able to pull off last off season in acquiring christop's porzegas and then trading for drou holiday and hitting a kind of mini-reset button, moving out players like Marcus Smart, like the heart and soul of that team, and replacing him with a guy who's got nothing but winning jeans. Like what Through Holiday showed us in taking Milwaukee to the victory over the Phoenix Suns a couple years ago
Starting point is 01:10:22 and then going right into the Olympics, and Drew Holiday was, I'll go to my grave arguing this, the most important player on that Olympic team, he was the guy that really produced the gold medal and have that guy, a known winner, who's willing to do all of the dirty work. None of the stats are going to show, although he had a tremendous game, too, because that's what was available, open shots that he made. But he's the guy, he's the secret ingredient to me for Boston, and it's been a pleasure to see him do all that dirty work stuff
Starting point is 01:10:55 and make the difference for the Celtics. Yeah, he's been outstanding. He's a winner, the whole thing. And Marcus Smart very much was kind of that just not as good. I totally agree with you on Luca. But the thing that I would say is that he's got, he needs, you know, we talked about, you know, Bryson de Chambot. Luca needs to mature a little bit.
Starting point is 01:11:24 I think the commitment, 48 minutes a night to complain. and whining the way he does is a detriment. I think it can be team detrimental as well. I mean, he's up there in the all-time bitchers, complainers, whiners that I've ever seen because nobody has had that kind of a commitment for 48 minutes to every single shot attempt. And I think that's a problem. I think the way Dallas plays, Joe, which is, you know, essentially ISO and searching out matchups, I think is draining and physically draining for him and for Kyrie.
Starting point is 01:12:03 And at the same time, you know, they're not facing as much of that on the other end, so they're working hard. I don't know if they can win a title. Look, this sport is measured. Individuals are more than any other sport based on rings. And for me to consider him beyond what I think of him, which is unbelievably offensively great. not only offensively great all time, but uniquely great offensively, the way in the style in which he plays. But ultimately, he's got to get, you know, he's got to win a ring.
Starting point is 01:12:38 And I wonder whether or not they can do that playing the way they play. And you're right, they need more help. They need more help. But the amount of stagnant ISO standing around is physically draining. and it just doesn't work when you get up against a really good team. In some ways, I think they're lucky to be here. I think Denver would have beaten them in a best-to-seven, but they didn't get Denver.
Starting point is 01:13:08 But anyway. Well, that's a fun conversation, because I think Denver ended up being so undermanned offensively because of how whatever injury, Jamal Murray was experiencing, it just didn't let him perform, consistently. He was in every other game thing, and so I don't know if I'm on board with the Denver thing,
Starting point is 01:13:31 but to be fair to Dallas, if you want to be glass-half-full about it, it's a kind of radical rewrite of who the team was, and especially defensively, the trade deadline, sure, they're, you know, rightly regarded as having won the trade deadline, because they
Starting point is 01:13:47 acquired two players in PJ Washington and Daniel Gaffer that allowed them to become the best version of themselves. Dauce Mavericks defensively, the thing that didn't happen to your point is, you know, an equal adjustment on offense. And so you have these games through like the first three games of the series where Luca and Karee are taking such a preponderance of the shot. Their usage rates are up in like the 70% range.
Starting point is 01:14:17 The other guys on the floor barely touch the basketball. And that's an adjustment that Dauce might be able to make in the fullness of an upcoming season, it's just an adjustment they couldn't make from trade deadline to the finals. And your point about them, you know, sort of lucky to be there is right in that sense, because they're kind of playing a style of offense that for sure is not, you know, the best version of offense. They got lucky with those role players knocking down every three that they saw against Oklahoma City and Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:14:51 No doubt. And that's not happening in this series. No, and look, and it's not happening because Boston doesn't need to help as much, which creates a lot of those opportunities. You and I love this, and we have lots of friends that don't love it. And as much as we try to ask them and suggest to them, this is really good this time of year. The truth is, this has been a boring postseason. Do you agree with me? Yes, it has been a boring postseason.
Starting point is 01:15:22 We got sweeps in the conference finals near sweep. You know, Boston went 4-0 and Dallas with 4-1. Yeah, I mean, what are the memorable moments? I mean, there were games in the Nuggets Lakers series and Jamal Murray's game winner. I actually think that in the Knicks Sixers, Nick's Pacers, was about the most intense and dramatic we had over the last two months. the the nick sixers was an all-timer and i enjoyed so much i actually went up to philadelphia for game three um because that was such a a juicy matchup and i wanted to see
Starting point is 01:16:03 and bide with my my own two eyes and embied rewarded my trip up there keb he gave me the the 50 piece he dropped 50 that night uh and and the sixers won that game but yeah there hasn't been much to capture the sporting public, you know, the greater American sporting public consciousness because, you know, the Joker got knocked out, the Joker's the MVP of the league. Janice was out in, you know, round one. LeBron didn't survive round one, and, you know, the Warriors didn't even make the playoffs. So we're at that sort of transitional stage with the NBA, where, you know, the NBA itself needs to market its upcoming superstars and, you know, do some branding and catch folks' attention on this crop of new kids.
Starting point is 01:16:57 But this transition moment we're in, you know, has a bunch of teams that have been good the last half decade or even 10 years about to rotate out and be irrelevant. And that includes, you know, LeBron and the Lakers. That includes Steph Curry and Golden State. So we're just going to have to The league's going to have to catch folks' attention through other players. Yeah, I mean, the thing about March
Starting point is 01:17:23 and the sport that is now a one month out of the calendar sport, you know, college basketball, there are just typically so many moments, memorable moments, and we just haven't had enough of them for the casual fan to sort of attach themselves. Now, coming back from, from 3-0-0-0-down would do it, but I see it ending tonight.
Starting point is 01:17:48 Do you see the same thing? I do. Both because, you know, the overwhelming history says that it will be over tonight. But also, if you're into the numerology, it is 617 today, Kevin. 617 is the area code in Boston and the last time that the Boston Celtics won the NBA They beat the Lakers on 617 True story. That's what happened.
Starting point is 01:18:25 It did happen if you're into the numerology. Thanks for doing this. I always enjoy our conversations. I will talk to you soon. You're the best. Thanks for having me on.
