Starting point is 00:00:02 You don't want it. You don't need it. But you're going to get it anyway. The Kevin Cheon Show. Here's Kevin. They go no huddle. This is something they talked about doing more of this week. Trying to get in an early rhythm for Daniels.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Robinson on second and one. He's got the first down and more at the 20-10-5. Brian Robinson Jr.'s 40-yard touchdown run capped off a very brief but explosive three-play opening drive for Washington. They started fast and they finished with their eighth win of the season, snapping a three-game losing skid just in time. The show's presenting sponsor, as always, is Windonation. If you need new windows, call them at 86690 Nation or head towindonation.com.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Mention my name. They'll come out and give you a free, no-risk estimate. the first time since 1996, I know we've done a lot of these for the first time since this year, but I didn't give you this one on Friday show. For the first time since 1996, Washington is 8 and 5 through 13 games. Let me repeat that for emphasis and make sure you heard me correctly. This is the first time in 28 years that a Washington NFL team with any name has achieved. eight wins to this point in the season. It's exciting. It's also embarrassing, but we are focused these days on the exciting.
Starting point is 00:01:48 42 to 19, the final score, Tennessee, a punching bag of an opponent really yesterday in Landover. They didn't appear to be that coming in. They came in off a win last week over a pretty good Houston team. They were one of the better teams defensively, in the entire league heading into yesterday's game, but the skin's offense totally filleted Tennessee's defense. 463 yards, 42 points. Nobody's offense did to Tennessee's defense yesterday what Washington's did, not Detroit, not Buffalo, not Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:02:27 The Titans had the best third down defense heading into the game yesterday. they left with the 10th best third down defense in the league. Nine for 14, 64.3% will do that to a third down ranking. Kind of amazing, right? Tennessee, number one in the league, third down defense. They allow nine of 14 conversions, and they're now the 10th ranked third down defense in the league. The game itself, we talked about it, kind of felt like a code red game. It was certainly must have, if not must win. They had lost three in a row.
Starting point is 00:03:09 The third loss last week being the hideous of the three losing to a bad Dallas team at home. A fourth loss in a row heading into this by week would have felt like this season was teetering, that it was on the brink. But they didn't let it happen. They were ready from the jump. Dan Quinn gets a lot of credit for that. His staff gets a lot of credit for that. The players played the game as if the season were on the line, and they were ready from the jump.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Three and out on defense to start. Then three plays touchdown, Brian Robinson Jr.'s touchdown run, 7-0. Next defensive possession, another forced punt in five plays. And then an 80-yard touchdown drive that followed, and it's 14-0. A forced fumble on Tennessee's next office. offensive possession. Three plays later, Washington's in the end zone again, 21-0. Then a forced fumble on the ensuing kickoff. A few plays later, 28-0, Washington. That is a start you dream of, but it's a result of preparation. You know, it's hard in the NFL to be up 28-0 early in the second
Starting point is 00:04:24 quarter. It's hard for an NFL game to get that out of hand that quickly. It resembled almost a college game. It's 28 to nothing a couple of minutes into the second quarter. It was a big win yesterday. It was an important win. But beyond just getting the W yesterday, for me, it came with a lot more than that. It came with a reminder of just how good they can be on offense. You know, for the better part of nine weeks, they were a top two to three offensive football team in the NFL as they got off to a seven and two start. And then came Pittsburgh and Philly and of course Dallas last week. Three losses, three offensive performances that made everybody start to wonder. you know, wonder about the Kingsbury fade. Is this what it's all about? Or the rookie quarterback
Starting point is 00:05:20 hitting the proverbial rookie wall, you know, when they start to play games beyond the college length season. Is this the real Dan Quinn, you know, the guy that blew a 28 to 3 Super Bowl lead? The vibe had changed from we're having this magical season to, oh my God, nothing's changed. The organization will always disappoint, not accounting for the fact that the organization, of course, is totally different than it's been. But people were, you know, legitimately, and I don't think unjustifiably, especially after last week, the loss to Dallas, they were concerned. You know, but they didn't win the game, 16 to 14 or 14 to 13 or, you know, 13 to 10. They won 42 to 19 and looked just like the team that had started 7 and 2. The win came for me in such a way that overall, the vibe changed back to what it was
Starting point is 00:06:23 three and a half weeks ago before the three-game losing skids started. I mean, they rolled a good defensive football team yesterday. Jaden, outstanding. He was 25 of 30 in the game, a completion percentage. of 83.3%. That was the third time this year. He's thrown in a game for an 80% completion number or higher. That is the first time a rookie quarterback has ever done that. So we're back to, you know, after yesterday, not just a win, but talking about a guy that, you know, now is a massive frontrunner once again for offensive rookie of the year, although Bo Nix plays tonight.
Starting point is 00:07:09 but talking about historic things that he is doing in his rookie year. The team scored 40 or more for the third time this season. They haven't had a season in which they scored 40 or more three times since 1991. We know what happened that year. It just felt good to see the offense do what they had done so many times earlier in the year, and that it hadn't been a head fake. Yesterday looked like, you know, the Cincinnati game on offense, the Arizona game on offense, the Cleveland, the Carolina,
Starting point is 00:07:48 the Giants game on the road. You know, those games where they barely punted, you know, they punted just once yesterday, where they scored on the majority of their offensive drives, they scored on six of their 10 yesterday, should have been eight out of 10, if not for a developing once again, kicker situation. I'll have that in my game take. I'm talking a lot about the offense because I think
Starting point is 00:08:15 their offense really is the meal ticket to the playoffs and maybe something beyond just one playoff game, but the defense was great as well. Frankie Louvre is the real deal. I think he's having a Pro Bowl season in the NFC. I hope he gets recognized for it. He's their best defensive player. Hands down. He is a game impacting defensive player. I mean, I think he is in the conversation for the best player on the team, certainly the second best player on the team behind Jaden. Like Terry Louvue, you know, I think Jaden's won in terms of importance. And then it's Terry or Frankie Louvue as number two. But on offense, man, with Daniels, with Robinson, and junior healthy like he was yesterday with Terry McClorn.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Washington has a big three on offense that scares teams. And yesterday was a reminder of that, and we needed it as much as we needed the win. My game take coming up next after these words from a few of our sponsors. Is there anything better when you're a football fan than this time of year? It seems like there are games on around the clock. It's a changing time of year. The weather gets chillier. The leaves start to change color.

Starting point is 00:12:48 That throw was ridiculous. The catch great as well. Third and goal at the Tennessee three-yard line early second quarter. Washington already leading 21 to nothing. Jaden saw it. He saw the pre-snap blitz. He saw the unblocked guy coming off the edge in his face. The ball was out quickly. The arm angle to get the ball around the pass rusher was Mahomes-esque. It was Stafford-esque. It was a throw that when I saw it, especially on the replay, because I don't think I saw it quite the way I saw it on the replay live, but I said to myself, for anybody that had any doubts about whether or not the team got it right back in April when they selected Jaden Daniels number two overall.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Just watch that throw. Watch the arm drop. Watch the angle drop. Watch it come out sidearm. Watch it come out quickly. Watch it be on target. That's a big time delivery. Great catch by Terry as well.

Starting point is 00:14:29 It came a week later, and it came very convincingly yesterday. against Tennessee and your flawless performance, although the number one item on the list of things that I didn't like from the game is kind of an ongoing concern. But we'll start with the happy stuff, the good stuff. And we will do that right after I tell you that the game take is brought to you by Window Nation. If you've been thinking about new Windows, all I ask is give Windonation the first shot. Call them at 86690 Nation, head to Windonation.com, mention my name. Take the free estimate. Call them at 866.90 Nation. head to windownation.com. All right, what I liked. Let's just start with high-level offensive execution. The offense was unstoppable, and it was nice to see.
Starting point is 00:15:47 We had not seen it in a few weeks, and we were reminded of just how good it can be. And they did it, as mentioned several times already, against a defense coming into the game that was ranked very high in several categories, both traditional and advanced statistical categories. This was not Carolina on defense. And the win, as I mentioned, was great.
Starting point is 00:16:12 The fact that they looked awesome on offense was really, really a good vibe changer as we head into this very late by once again for some reason. All right. So it starts with this. you know, they started with quick game. You know, they started with two quick game throws, including lining Terry up on the right side of the formation and throwing them the first pass of the game.
Starting point is 00:16:41 I'm sure that was a bit of Cliff Kingsbury saying, you people are wearing me out. The dude's third in the league in reception yardage, and you're complaining about where he's lining up. But anyway, they lined him up on the right side, on that first play. He catches a quick hitch. Second plays a quick hitch to Noah Brown. It was all quick game early on.
Starting point is 00:17:05 11 of their first 16 or so-called pass plays were quick throws or screens. It's something that I thought they should have done more of last week in particular. For comparison purposes, every quick game throw or every screen throw in the first half was a completion. And then every dropback didn't go quite as well. They had a sack on one of the dropbacks. There were two pressures which led Jaden to scramble on two of them. There was an incompletion. And on one play, there was a penalty.
Starting point is 00:17:38 There was a defensive hold on a shot to Diami Brown in the red zone. It wasn't actually a hold against Diami Brown. I think it was a hold off the ball against Ertz or away from the throw, excuse me. But I loved that they started with quick game. And they obviously had a strong running game. to go with it. And the offensive line was outstanding. They bounced back from a game in which I thought they got handled at the line of scrimmage against the Cowboys. Yesterday, it was the other way around. They dominated. They were in a lot of multiple tight end sets, a lot of 12 personnel, even some 13
Starting point is 00:18:17 personnel with Bates, Ertz, and Cinnett, and all of them did a great job blocking. You know, the backs did an excellent job with vision, with quickness, with yards after contact. You know, Jaden's presence in the run game on a majority of the run plays was important yesterday, as it's been all season long. They had 267 yards rushing on 45 attempts, 229 yards by the running backs alone. It was the biggest rushing output since the six. season finale against the Cowboys in 2012 when Alfred Morris rushed for 200 yards, RG3 rushed for 63. They rushed for 274 in that game. 267 on 45 attempts, 5.9 yards per carry.
Starting point is 00:19:12 463 total yards of offense. 9 of 14 on 3rd down. Nobody has had this kind of success, as I mentioned offensively this year against Tennessee's defense. Nobody. Detroit scored 52 against them, but they had a punt return for a touchdown. They had four turnovers from Tennessee. Washington got two. But trust me, nobody all year long did to Tennessee what Washington was able to do yesterday. Their head coach Brian Callahan after the game said, we lost the line of scrimmage. If you want to beat a team with the quarterback as part of the run game, you have to win the line of scrimmage. They have a challenging scheme, but every time we looked up, it was third and one or third and two almost every time. And that leads me to
Starting point is 00:20:07 this. Third down offense is number two on the list of things that I liked. Now listen, they were incredible on third down, nine of 14, 64.3. They dropped Tennessee from the number one third down defense to number 10 in one weekend. By the way, for comparison purposes, Detroit, just three for nine on third down against the Titans. Buffalo, just three for ten. Now, those games were not perfect apples to apples comparisons for the game yesterday because both of those teams destroyed Tennessee as Washington did. But I'm just illustrating that they didn't have the success that Washington had on
Starting point is 00:20:49 third down. But here's the reason for the success. In the game, they had four third down in ones, five third down and twos, and three third down and threes. That's 12 third and threes or shorter. You know, the others that were longer were much longer because of penalties and sacks, but how much easier is it to stay on the field when your third down, are three yards or shorter. That means, you know, by definition, their first and second down offense was good. And that's where I get back to the quick game. The quick game and their running game.
Starting point is 00:21:33 But the lack of lots of dropback in the game, especially on early downs, it just meant that you stayed in good down and distance. You weren't in second and ten after an incompletion or second longer after a sack or a penalty. that's a lot of third down in shorts, 12 of them in the game. And that's, of course, a big part of why they were so successful on third down. So number two on the list of things that I liked, third down offense. Now, specifically on offense, players that really stood out to me. I'll start with the offensive line because last week, the offensive line I really felt was a problem.
Starting point is 00:22:17 I thought they really got manhandled at the line of scrimmage by Dallas's defense. And I thought it was more the interior against Dallas. And I think yesterday it was more the interior that dominated Tennessee. Jeffrey Simmons did not, you know, mess the game up at all. And I, you know, the PFF numbers, I think, are out there now. And Denton shared them with me earlier. I don't have them in front of me. but I think he said that Biotish was really highly ranked in Cosmi, too.
Starting point is 00:22:51 So that's kind of what it appeared to me as, not that Brandon Coleman and Cornelius Lucas didn't play well. I think the offensive line as a whole played well, but specific to last week pointing out that the interior part of the offensive line seemed to be the problem. I thought yesterday it was probably the strength of the offensive line, just a good day in general. for the offensive line. And Lucas in for Wiley, and it didn't seem to make that much of a difference. I like Wiley as a run blocker in particular. That leads me to the skill position players on offense. And I'll start with Jaden, 25 of 30, 206 yards, three touchdowns,
Starting point is 00:23:34 first three touchdown game of his career. You know, another high completion percentage game. Again, we're back to it, you know, after a few weeks of not seeing it. And again, Kingsbury gets a lot of credit for that. I think the play calling, the down-and-distance management, the quick game just made a lot of sense. We've already talked about the touchdown pass to Terry on the third and goal that made it 28 to nothing. You know, if you ever doubt that this guy doesn't have it, that's a throw that indicates that he has it. His quick release just in general is so impressive.
Starting point is 00:24:11 and there's a throw in the first drive of the game. It's a quick slant to Terry on third and one. Excellent throw. Same drive. There's another quick one to Terry versus zone for 10 or 11 yards. He had the touchdown throw to Terry that made it 21 to nothing. Really good job on that play, manipulating the defense with his eyes. It seemed like anyway, all the while waiting for Terry to kind of clear from the slot on the right side where he lined up.
Starting point is 00:24:41 and he throws a perfect pass, sort of backing up, you know, waiting, you know, making sure that pressure doesn't get to him. I did think it was weird that Bates was in the same area as Terry on that throw. I wonder if he ran the wrong route. I don't know. When it got to 28 to 13 in the third quarter, I certainly wasn't sweating it. I don't know if you guys were. But they had cut a 28-0 lead to 28 to 13. And there was a slant to Terry where Terry took a big shot, but it was a really good throw.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Oh, good catch too. On that drive, another really good touch throw over the middle to Ertz that went for 25 yards. Plenty of over the middle of the field throws in the game yesterday. Love the play design on the touchdown pass to Ertz that made it 35 to 13 early in the fourth quarter. It was fake zone read on third and two inside the 10, and they really used it as play action. but Jaden took a step towards the line of scrimmage, which just sucked everybody up, and then he just lofted a beautiful touch pass to Ertz in the end zone for a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Lots of really good plays. Running-wise, 9 for 34. I think there was a solid run called back by a penalty, but he was excellent as a scrambler, as an option runner. You know, a few plays he'd like to have back. I would say certainly the interception to Ertz was more on him. That was a high ball. So I think that was more him. Funny how the complaints were sort of short-hopping some of the throws against Philly. I actually think his misses are more often
Starting point is 00:26:23 high than low. I don't think they're off as much as occasionally they're high. The first throw of the game to Terry McCorn was a bit high. Terry pulled it in. But I think that interception was more on him. Look, He's had a lot of balls dropped in recent games, which has made his numbers look worse than maybe they should have been. But that one, I don't think, was on Ertz. I think it was on Jaden's throw. There's a throw that you know he wants back. It was in the first half. It was the drive that ended with the first missed field goal by Gonzalez.
Starting point is 00:27:01 They ran that play where they've got Zakias in the backfield. They faked him, but he's out on a side. swing pass and Jaden's looking at him. And so the whole defense is coming up because he thinks he's going to dump it off to Zakias coming out of the backfield. And then he throws it into that hole behind where those guys are coming up to Noah Brown. And he's wide open for probably a touchdown if Jaden leads him into the field rather than into the sideline.
Starting point is 00:27:33 And it ends up being a completion for 11 yards. but probably should have scored. And Jaden was smiling, pointing to himself at the end of that play. He knew that he missed the throw. His first sack came a few plays after that. And I thought that not necessarily that he could have gotten rid of the ball or that he had anywhere to throw to, but there was an escape to his left,
Starting point is 00:27:58 and he ran right into the pressure and got sacked to his right. And that set up one of the few third and longs on the day and preceded that first missed field goal. I think the play in the fourth quarter, the other sack of Jaden, which nearly knocked them at a field goal range, was maybe a play he'd like to have back, although he tried to make something out of nothing. It was third and two at the Tennessee 30-yard line. They're up 35-13 at that point.
Starting point is 00:28:30 This was prior to the second missed field goal. there's a stunt up front that clearly confuses the O line. They weren't confused a lot, but on this particular instance, they were. And there's a free rusher right in Jaden's lap after the snap. And he tries to avoid the loss that would knock him out of field goal range by like pushing the ball forward in the general direction of, I think it was McNichols, to make it look like an incomplete pass. Actually, I thought he was successful in doing it.
Starting point is 00:29:01 But they called it a fumble. Allegrety actually fell on it, and it actually put them back into field goal range, even though Gonzalez missed the kick. But up 3513, you know, to get that kind of, you know, to take that kind of risk with the football, maybe just eat it and punt. He had no real shot on the play in his defense. Overall, Jaden Daniels was back to being an A performer. I thought he was anyway.
Starting point is 00:29:36 That leads me to the A plus performer of the day, or certainly another A performance. I think another A performance. I don't know. He makes so many contested catches that seems so hard to make game in and game out, that it's hard not to say that Terry was, you know, an A or a little bit higher than an A. Let me just mention real quickly the right side, left side thing. You know, he lines up on the right side first play of the game,
Starting point is 00:30:02 catches a pass. Ben standing in his athletic column said it essentially was Cliff Kingsbury's middle finger to all of the discussion about right side, left side. You know, it's like Cliff's sitting back going, really, the dude's third in the league in reception yardage. And you want to complain about where he's lining up. But that doesn't mean that he shouldn't be moved around into other spots. He seemed to be happy with it. Quinn seemed to be happy with it.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Ironically, while he did line up on the right side more than he had in any other game this year, as a percentage of snaps, it was less than the last two games, maybe the last three games. Ben shared that with me today on radio. So people that have been screaming for right side, left side will scream, see, you know, super productive. They lined them up on the right side more than they had at any point this year. year in terms of aggregate numbers, that's true. But in terms of percentage of snaps, apparently it's not true. Terry's the best man at a contested catch. I think it's interesting that he's not really a hands catcher as much as he is a chest catcher, but he doesn't drop anything in those contested
Starting point is 00:31:21 situations. Why are so many of his catches contested? Well, for starters, he draws typically the best defenders. And secondly, Terry is a great receiver. He's not an elite separator. You want to watch elite separators? Go watch Chase. Go watch Jefferson. Go watch Hill. So more contested catches for Terry in part because he's not always got, you know, the best of separation. Not that he can't separate. He does it a lot too. I'm not saying that he doesn't separate. But, you know, there is a reason why a lot of his catches are contested. He's just so good and he's having such a great season. He set his season record for touchdowns in a year and were just, you know, 13 games into the season. He's got nine already. Seven was his best, his rookie year. He's on pace, I think, to fall
Starting point is 00:32:20 just a bit short of his best yardage season, which was 2022, and more than just a bit short of the reception mark that he had in 2020, which was 87. But who knows? He's got four games left, and he could certainly increase from where his averages are right now. Terry McLaren, outstanding in the game yesterday. Brian Robinson Jr. is a difference maker. Let's face it, they're much better with him than without him. Now, I think all of the running backs eat and feast because of the run scheme,
Starting point is 00:32:58 because the quarterback is presented as a run threat so often, but there's nobody like number eight. He was really good in the game. He quick in the hole, quick vision, a really good burst, obviously very good yards after contact. 16 carries 103 yards for him. I think McNichols has played well every time he's gotten the opportunity, six carries for 32 yards for him.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Remember back in that other 42 point output game against Arizona. I think that was really his best rushing game of the year. If yesterday wasn't, yesterday he had 32. No, he had to have more than that against Arizona. Let me look it up real quickly. Nichols, 68 yards he had against Arizona on eight carries. When he's gotten his opportunities, he's been outstanding. And then we've got to mention Chris Rodriguez.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Rodriguez was outstanding. I understand a lot of the carries came with the game completely out of hand. Tennessee probably disinterested. But this guy, every time he's gotten an opportunity, he's a good runner. So why does he keep getting released and re-signed, released and resigned, cut and resigned? Well, I don't know. I mean, I'm sure there's something there that we all don't know. Remember, pass blocking is so important when it comes to the running back position.
Starting point is 00:34:31 But Rodriguez is outstanding. He really is as a runner. He's got – he was at Kentucky. He's got great vision. He's got great power. 13 carries 94 yards and a touchdown for this dude. I mean, a first-rate performance by him. Again, a lot of garbage time.
Starting point is 00:34:52 I get it. I thought Diami Brown played well yesterday, and I'm mentioning him not so much for yesterday, but because it's clear to me that Diami Brown is becoming a guy they want to get the ball to more. Now, maybe that'll happen if Noah Brown's out for any length of time, although with the buy week, I don't think he'll miss. We'll see. I think it's a rib injury. But I think Diami Brown's got the best speed of anybody as a wide receipt. I think that's why you see him in a lot of the bubble stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:27 You see him, you know, touch the ball, you know, on jets, on reverses. I think Diami Brown's getting better and being given more opportunities. And I would guess that we're going to continue to see more opportunities for Diombe Brown. He's on the list of things that I liked. Defensively, I'm just going to start with Frankie Louvre. This guy is having a Pro Bowl season. He is. You know, right now I think he's fifth in sacks in the NFC.
Starting point is 00:36:00 He's a half sack behind Fowler Jr. He's their best defensive player. I don't think there's any doubt about it. He's their best defensive player. He's a Pro Bowl caliber player. If he doesn't make the Pro Bowl this year, so be it. But he's going to make Pro Bowls coming up. We're getting Frankie Louvre right now in really the
Starting point is 00:36:22 prime of his career, the beginning, you know, kind of the middle of it, 28 years old, he'll be 29 next year. We knew if you watched him at Carolina, you were getting a high-motored guy, a relentless energy guy. We talked about that when they signed him. I had no idea he was this good of a pass rusher. I had no idea he was this good in sort of reading it out and anticipating it. How many deflected balls has he had in the last couple of weeks? I think he had two or three last week, he had another one yesterday on the first drive. You know, it got deflected into the hands of the offensive lineman. Frankie Louvre is so good.
Starting point is 00:37:03 He's the best defensive player this team has had in a long time. I mean, I really think he is. I didn't know this until after Denton shared with me some of the PFF grades. But the guy Carl Davis, who they brought up, who they signed to the practice squad a month ago, activated him yesterday and kept Phil Mathis as a healthy scratch down. Now, Quinn talked about run-stopping and that he had earned it with his practice play. Come on. Phil Mathis got demoted yesterday.
Starting point is 00:37:46 For what reason? I don't know. he has not played well recently, but he's had some moments this year, certainly as a pass rusher. He's not great as a run stuffer, but as a pass rusher, he's had moments. Remember, he blocked the punt last week against the Cowboys. But him being down as a healthy scratch and Carl Davis being up, not to mention this guy, Sheldon Days played well.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Now, not a lot of snaps from Carl Davis, okay, I think it was 13 or 14 snaps. but he was, according to Denton, the highest rated defensive player. Again, 14 snaps versus, you know, 55 for Louvo, as an example. But Louvoo's the guy, man. I thought Sanra still was good yesterday. I think he got beat on the touchdown, okay, at the end of the first half by a very good receiver, Westbrook Aquini. I think the forced fumble that he had on Pollard early was big. I think Santer still just continues to have big games.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Look, corners out there on the outside, they're going to get beat occasionally, especially by good receivers. Levis is terrible, but he's got a big arm. I thought Mikey Sanders still, and I forget where he rated PFF, I don't really care, but I thought he showed well also. I think just overall, the defensive front yesterday, interior-wise, was better. Now, they didn't get run on because they couldn't run when the score got out of hand, right? I mean, Pollard actually ran it a couple of times well.
Starting point is 00:39:26 It's still my number one concern for this team is run defense. But, yeah, they got out of a, they became one-dimensional. They couldn't stick with the run game. It became, it was 21-0 before you blinked. And that's what, you know, the last thing on the list of things that I liked is, look, Tennessee contributed to this to a certain degree. I think Washington was outstanding in every way, shape, or form with the exception of special teams. I'll get to that in a moment. But, you know, this is a team that is self-destructed all season long.
Starting point is 00:40:00 They're three and nine for a reason. They're way up there in giveaways. They're way down there in turnover margin. They had 11 penalties in the first half. 11. Just a team right now that has a quarterback issue. He looks the part sometimes because he's big and he's got a big arm, but he's a bad decision maker.
Starting point is 00:40:22 He's inaccurate, wildly inaccurate at times. I never was a big fan of Levis coming out of Kentucky. And I'm not that big of a fan at all with him in the pros. Look, you can't give up on quarterbacks. You know, Bryce Young's proving that right now because he's playing a lot better with the Carolina Panthers. And he was basically, you know, dead to right after the first couple of games of the season. But Tennessee's, you know, self-destructive tendencies were a part of why the game got out of hand. So that's on the good list.
Starting point is 00:41:02 All right. What I didn't like. well, it starts with not only do we not like it, what are they going to do about it? They got a kicker situation. Zane Gonzalez missed two field goals. I know they were 46 and 52 yarders, but you know, if anything less than 50 is a gimmy in the league. And I know a lot of kicks have been missed in recent weeks by field goal kickers around the league. I mean, we've watched it happen. I mean, how about Justin Tucker and Baltimore? I'd take him if Baltimore decides to move on from him. I don't think they will.
Starting point is 00:41:34 But Zane Gonzalez, 0 for 2 on field goals. Six for six on PATs, that's good. But it was a perfect day. There was no wind. It was sunny. The field was in decent shape. And he missed two kicks. They should have won 48 to 19.
Starting point is 00:41:48 They should have had their biggest offensive output of the year. What are they going to do about it? They got to bring people in, don't they? They got to bring guys in. And they got to keep at this thing. It'd be nice to also find a guy that can boot it through the end zone, although kick coverage wasn't a massive issue. But I think special teams yesterday was just not great.
Starting point is 00:42:14 They had multiple penalties on special teams. Cosme had a 15-yarder, although I think that that could have been, I think he was involved with Simmons on that. I think that could have gone both ways. Mike Davis had a 15-yarder out-of-bounds, blocking and not letting a gunner come back in. so two big penalties on special teams. And one of the worst punt return coverage units in the league talked about this on Friday
Starting point is 00:42:38 got healthy against Washington. Zakias averaged six yards, I think, on three punt returns. And they didn't have a good day on kickoff returns either. And that's where another place where Austin Echler is going to be missed. McNichols averaged 22 and a half yards on kickoff returns. You know, Echler's third in the league in kickoff return. yardage, average yards per return for anybody with over 10 returns on the season. So they're going to miss that.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Zakias had six yards return on a team that's allowed 16 yards per return. Tressaway only had to punt once, and it was a beauty, a 52-yarder, but wasn't the best of days for special teams. And then I'll end, I think I'll end with this. I didn't like the end of the first half, and it's not the first time I've said this. I think if you decide to go for it, meaning we're going to run a play or two to see if it gets us out into an area where we can take a shot, then we'll do it. But they've done it in a way in which it's like they're half in half out. So 23 seconds to go after the touchdown that made it 28 to 7, the Levis to Westbrook-Ey-A touchdown.
Starting point is 00:43:56 By the way, that guy's a really good receiver. And also, by the way, in Levis's defense, there were like five drop passes, four or five drop passes in the game by Tennessee, another part of their kind of overall self-destruction. But 23 seconds left, Washington's got all three timeouts. They have not been stopped. And you start at the 30-yard line. So, you know, that is two completions, three completions, potentially. I mean, 23 seconds left, you could have as many as five plays legitimately.
Starting point is 00:44:30 And they throw one to McCaffrey. Luke McCaffrey, by the way, two catches, including that fourth and two in the second half. Love to see him on that. And he gets it out to the 36-yard line, and they hit a timeout right away. 15 seconds left. All right, got six yards. Maybe not what we were looking for out of that. Would have loved to maybe break a tackle, get it to the 40, 41, 42-yard line.
Starting point is 00:44:51 But we're, you know, two completions away with two timeouts from potentially a field goal attempt. And on second down, they throw a short one Jaden does to Terry. Now, it's not a big play. It ends at 11 seconds. It's three yards, four yards. You're at the 40-yard line. And they let the clock run out.
Starting point is 00:45:08 I don't know, man. Hit a timeout with 11 seconds. Take one more shot. Throw one down the field somewhere. See if you can draw a flag. See if you can find somebody for, you know, a 20-yard gain that gets you to the other team's 40 and see if Gonzalez on a day has enough leg to kick a 57-yarder.
Starting point is 00:45:24 or maybe you get further yardage. But they just let the clock run out. I guess part of it is, well, we didn't like the second down play. It just didn't get us what we needed to get to. And I understand that. But I think they've done it a couple of times this year. A couple of times they had opportunities to throw Hail Mary's and they passed on that. I kind of understand that because that is a play that the quarterback is at risk on.
Starting point is 00:45:51 but you know small knit to pick there small knit to pick what else did I have on my list here just oh that's it on the list of things I didn't like that that pretty much ends that list kicker special teams end of first half kind of the return game specifically on special teams in addition to the penalties. Other things.
Starting point is 00:46:26 So that flea flicker that they tried, remember they tried it a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't, I think against Baltimore and it was a bad pitchback and Jaden somehow corralled it. This one was a good pitchback and he kind of bobbled it. I don't know if there was a shot down the field. He did complete a ball underneath, almost checkdown territory to, I think, Noah Brown. There was a situation in the first half where, Washington had a third in 20, and they had subbed with about 15 seconds to go and the referee standing over the ball, and then you see a flag come out.
Starting point is 00:47:00 And Washington was about to, Washington had called a timeout as the clock ticked down, and I'm like, oh, they didn't give them the timeout. They called delay a game. They actually called 12 players on the field against Tennessee. I think that was a bad call. I don't think they gave Tennessee ample time to get their players off the field. You have to give the other team. You have to give the other. team a chance to sub when you've subbed. And if you subbed too late and the other team is taking their time, that's kind of too bad. And you're going to have to burn a time out. You got to choose to sub on those things pretty quickly. What else did I have in my notes here? I had a couple of other things. Oh, on the Pollard fumble, which Sanra still did a really good job of yanking out, there was an obvious face mask missed. Obvious face mask missed. There was a flag down, but it wasn't for a face mask.
Starting point is 00:48:05 It was for an illegal block, so the fumble and the recovery stood, but he had his face mask yanked, and I forget who it was. Oh, by the way, Sanra still on the two-point conversion made a really good play. I had said earlier on radio that I wasn't sure who it was and we kind of settled on it being Igben O'Gennie, but it was Sandra still. Good play by him on that. Yeah, in terms of other things, that's pretty much it on my list. All right. Let's finish up the show by me spelling out in detail the playoff scenarios for Washington as they go into their buy week, but they sit there with just four games left coming out of it. We'll do some of the other NFL as well. We'll get to that right after these words from a few of our sponsors. Euro step around that hot take and make a play

Starting point is 00:49:39 Rodriguez is the running back. Up the middle, Rodriguez, touchdown. His first of the season and third of his career. I really like Chris Rodriguez. I do. I think a lot of you do too. The reasons for the, you know, on the roster, off the roster, on the practice squad, off the roster, etc. There's something there that we probably don't know, but he's a really good runner.
Starting point is 00:50:10 That is for sure. And, you know, at the same time, they're going to miss Austin Echler a lot. And his news on Saturday came simultaneous with the news that Emmanuel Forbes got released. Austin Echler on Injured Reserve, I don't know if we'll see him again this year. I think he's eligible to be off it in four weeks or to be into that 21-day recall time frame. But second bad concussion this year, who knows. And then the Emmanuel Forbes news, of course, right? This seemed to be coming, just like the Jamon Davis thing started to become obvious.
Starting point is 00:50:53 They just didn't like them. I'm not saying personally, they just didn't like the fit. I would be surprised if he doesn't get picked up. Jamon Davis has been on a few teams already, I think, practice squads. But I bet you somebody signs Forbes. Corners are really hard to find. And a guy that had that much productivity in college as a big play guy. somebody's going to give him a chance.
Starting point is 00:51:18 That's my guess. Didn't work here. And man, you know, I know our fan base obsesses over it. Feel like we've been doing this for a while. But Chase Young, Jaman Davis, Jahan Dotson, Dotson, Emanuel Forbes. Four of Ron's first round picks, no longer with the team. Chase Young in New Orleans,
Starting point is 00:51:37 Jamie Davis, wherever he is, Jahan Dotson and Philly Emmanuel Forbes right now, nowhere. But I think he'll land somewhere. I would bet that he would. it's a bad run. It's a really bad run. There are other teams. When you go back and you look at this, and I did this a while ago, and I found some Raiders teams and a couple of others that had, you know, two or three years in a row of really bad drafts, including first rounders. In a couple of cases, teams that had two first round picks and missed on both of them, it happens,
Starting point is 00:52:10 but it is hard to completely whiff. on four straight. I mean, Chey Chung was the defensive rookie of the year, and then there were injuries. I actually caught a little bit of him yesterday against New Orleans, and he was actually making some plays in that game. I have no idea what kind of year he's having. I haven't really followed it. But when Ron told John Kime about leaving the next regime with a quarterback and 40 out of the 53 players, that the cupboard would be stocked and send him his,
Starting point is 00:52:45 ring if they end up winning it all. That was really a detached statement. That was just like with Sam Howell, it was hopeful. You know, it was wishful. It was wishcasting. And, you know, nobody makes a living wishcasting. So I also just want to say, every time I, I criticize Ron Rivera, I see others doing it, I just remind myself, this isn't for you and this is not, a lecture by any stretch of the imagination. But with Dan Snyder as the owner, nobody had a chance to succeed, especially when he gave the guy full control or as much as you can have, when he wasn't capable of being a coach-centric guy. He clearly is not a talent evaluator, and he had personnel, say. He was a head coach and a decent head coach in Carolina. He wasn't a bad head. He wasn't a bad head
Starting point is 00:53:45 coach in Carolina. His players that played for him in Carolina love him. People around the league love him. I know I've given this speech before, but nobody, nobody came in and succeeded with Snyder as the owner. And then he gave him all of that responsibility. And then he went and had cancer during a pandemic. And it was just, you know, with 15 different investigations going on. And it all came and fell on him. So there is, I have a little bit of empathy for his situation. I do. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Let me share with you kind of the playoff situation for Washington. Because there's something that maybe, unless you heard me say it on radio this morning. And by the way, sorry that I didn't get this podcast out postgame. It was a hectic Thanksgiving Day weekend that ended very hecticly, and my plans were to do it, but I wasn't necessarily in the best of condition to do it. So there is that. But we will get back to that when they come back against the Saints, I promise you, in terms of doing a quick post game after the game ends.
Starting point is 00:55:06 But all right, the playoff scenarios for Washington. So the win yesterday improves Washington to 8 and 5 overall. They played 13. Most teams in the NFC have played just 12. In fact, every team in the NFC has played one less game than Washington. Washington's the last NFC team with a buy. This coming weekend, the by teams are actually Washington and five AFC teams. The Ravens are one of them.
Starting point is 00:55:47 But in the NFC right now at 8 and 5, Washington is in the 7 spot in pretty comfortable position. They are a game ahead of three teams at 6 and 6 that are not division leaders right now, Tampa Bay, Arizona, and the Rams. column two ahead in the win column for the seven spot in the NFC. As most of you know, seven playoff teams each conference, you know, they moved to that four or five years ago, seated one through seven, the top seed gets the only buy. Everybody else plays wild card weekend. Two play seven, three plays six, four plays five. And right now, Washington is in good shape for that seventh spot in the NFC. I think,
Starting point is 00:56:36 think if they win two games, that's exactly where they'll end up. They'll end up at 10 and 7, and the 7 seed, more likely than not, playing in Detroit or in Philadelphia on Wild Card weekend in the first round of the postseason. Win two, they're in. Win one gets a bit dicey at 9 and 8. You start getting into probably tiebreakers with more than just one team at 9 and 8. Two wins, they are in, lock it up, they're going to be the seven seed. I do not see a scenario really in which they get knocked out at 10 and 7. It's possible. It's just not likely.
Starting point is 00:57:20 You know, at this point, what would almost have to happen because the NFC West teams kind of play each other, but in the NFC South, Tampa and Atlanta have already played twice, and Tampa lost to Atlanta twice, you'd need kind of a Tampa big run at the end of the season, and you'd need Atlanta to have a big run at the end of the season and have both of those teams finish like 10 and 7 with Atlanta winning the division,
Starting point is 00:57:48 and then you would lose a tiebreaker at 10 and 7 against Tampa. My guess personally is that if Tampa gets to 10 and 7, they win the division because Atlanta right now is folding up like a cheap accordion, more on that coming up. So 10 and 7 to me, they're in. 9 and 8 gets really tricky. But here's the opportunity that exists that I don't think a lot of you have given much thought to. And leave it to me, this is my job, playoff scenario guy.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Yeah, they've got a shot at the division. It's not a good shot. Philadelphia is 10 and 2. They are rolling. They're so good. They beat Baltimore up yesterday. Philly would have to lose more likely than not. three of their final five just and one of them would have to be against Washington and Washington
Starting point is 00:58:38 would have to win out for there to even be a chance in a tiebreaker. Philly's winning this division. The opportunity for Washington is to climb to the sixth spot in the NFC wild card. You know, the three teams are five, six and seven in the seating to climb to that six seed in the NFC playoffs. How would they do that? Well, Green Bay would have to lose some games, and their schedule is brutal the rest of the way. They play Detroit on the road Thursday night, then they play at Seattle, the NFC West leader,
Starting point is 00:59:13 and then they play at Minnesota the next to last week of the season. They've got three road games in which they'll likely be underdogs. They're going to definitely be underdogs in two of them. I don't know what it'll be at Seattle. I would imagine they'd be a short underdog at Seattle. I don't know, maybe pick them. They have home games against the Saints and the Bears. If Washington got to say 11 and 6, meaning winning three of their final four, and Green Bay lost three of their final five to finish 11 and 6, Washington would win the tiebreaker because of conference record.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Yes, I dug deep this morning into wild card seeding tiebreaking formulas and procedures. and I found that after head-to-head in Washington and Green Bay did not play and don't play this year, it's conference record, not division record, because they're not in the same division, conference record. And if Green Bay were to lose three more games, they'd all be in conference because they have beaten every AFC team they have faced this year. They faced the AFC South, swept it. They faced the Dolphins on Thanksgiving night. them, and Washington already has an AFC loss. They lost to not only the Baltimore Ravens, but they also lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Starting point is 01:00:39 They've got two AFC losses. So Washington would end up with the better conference record, hence the sixth seed over Green Bay, which would mean you don't have to go to Detroit or Philadelphia. You get to go to Seattle or Arizona or Tampa. or Atlanta in the first round of the postseason. That seems much better than Detroit or Philly. But who knows? Maybe things will feel differently by the time we get there.
Starting point is 01:01:08 All right, that's it. Bottom line, 10 wins they're in. Nine gets a little dicey. 11, and you may have a shot at the 6 seed, rather than just being there as the 7 seed. The division hopes kind of, I think, died with Phillies win at Baltimore. And that's where I'll finish up this show, just some of the games from the NFL yesterday. And we can start with 2419 was the final score.
Starting point is 01:01:35 They were up 24 to 12. Baltimore scored with three seconds to go in the game. Big story in that game is Justin Tucker. Two more missed field goals and a missed extra point. Impactful misses. I don't know what they're going to do with them. I'm sure by the time you listen to this, there's been. an absolute call for supporting one of the greatest kickers in the history of the game.
Starting point is 01:02:00 They're not going to get rid of him, I don't think. He is 70.4% on field goals this year. 19 of 27. He's missed two PATs this year. He is really struggling. Early in the season, they were all over 50 misses. He's got three misses between 40 and 49 yards. now. His worst season in terms of field goal percentage, you've got to go all the way back to
Starting point is 01:02:30 2015 when he was 33 of 40. That was 82.5%. This is a guy that coming into the year was 90% plus career on field goals. He's 70% this year. Yeah, they hurt the miss field goals. But if you watch this game, Philly's defense, Phillies. ability to make the plays offensively when they needed them. Saquan Barkley with another 100-yard plus day as he may be on the way to an MVP, and perhaps Dickerson's record will see. Philly's just really good right now. They're really good.
Starting point is 01:03:08 They are so much better, I think, on defense than they're on offense. And that's saying a lot. But man, do they hit? This Zach Bond number 53 is incredible. How about just the improvement of like Nacobi Dean? They're secondary, obviously, with Cooper DeGine and Quineon Mitchell. They've gotten so much faster defensively. Eight wins in a row for them.
Starting point is 01:03:33 And look, Baltimore is in deep trouble in the AFC North. You know, they are two games back in the loss column. Pittsburgh at 9 and 3 after their win in Cincinnati yesterday. They get the Browns this coming weekend for a two-game lead over Baltimore. because they've played one less game. The Ravens have their by week. The AFC North kind of shaping up now to be Pittsburgh's to lose. You know, they do have another game with the Ravens in Baltimore,
Starting point is 01:04:00 and they've got to play Philadelphia on December 15th. And they've got to play Kansas City. I forgot about that one. It's not over yet. Pittsburgh still plays at Philly, at Baltimore, and KC. Before they play the Bengals again, and they just beat them 44 to 38. meantime, the Ravens, after their buy week, they get the Giants, the Steelers, the Texans, and the Browns. So the Ravens are not out of the AFC North Race, but, man, Philly is awfully good right now.
Starting point is 01:04:33 I mean, you'd have to say that Detroit, Philly, Buffalo, I guess, KC, I mean, that win Friday was hideous again. another, they got very lucky there at the end against the Raiders. The other games that I wanted to talk about, I have to mention this, because those of you that say I would never, ever talk about Kirk's bad games. I've done that throughout his career. He had the worst game he's ever had as a professional. He threw four interceptions. There was a pick six with the lead when they were driving.
Starting point is 01:05:11 There was a throw into the end zone when they could have gotten at least three. their kicker missed another two field goals. I mean, this guy, Ku, has just killed them this year. Actually, he missed one field goal yesterday, but I think he's missed five field goals in the last three games. They got a three-game losing skid right now, and I think he's missed five field goals. He missed three-in-one game and missed one yesterday.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Four or five he's missed. And he's a good kicker. If they cut him, I'd say Washington pick up this guy, Ku. He's really good. He's in a slump right now. But Kirk had a bad game, man. Bad game. Now, I read just a little while ago some of the comments from Rahim Morris who said, no, no, no, he's gotten us into this position. There's no way we're not riding this out with Kirk Cousins, even though they drafted Pennix in the first round. Drake London and others,
Starting point is 01:06:09 Darnell Mooney immediately came to his defense. They really like them down there. Like teams typically do. He hadn't thrown four interceptions in a game in his career. And he's not been an interception guy since the early days in Washington. And right now he's on pace for the worst interception year of his career. He's got 13. The most he's ever thrown in 17 games was 14 back in 2022. Rough day for cousins.
Starting point is 01:06:44 tough day for the Falcons, who finally played pretty well defensively for the first time and couldn't win the game against the Chargers who get the win. By the way, you know, the Falcons at 6 and 6 and the Panthers, the Buccaneers at 6 and 6. The Bucks were lucky as hell, man. Chuba Hubbard fumbled in field goal range in overtime. The Panthers were on the verge of winning that game. And how about the Bryce Young resurgence here? Gotta be happy for a guy that that was written off year two when they benched him for Andy Dalton. Then he got the opportunity when Dalton got in the car crash earlier this year. Not a serious one, but put him out.
Starting point is 01:07:25 And Bryce Young's been outstanding. He's been outstanding leading that team. The Panthers who play the Eagles this week, by the way, their last four games, right? A one point win over the Saints, a three point one over the Giants, a three-point walk-off field goal loss to the Chiefs, and a three-point overtime loss. to the Buccaneers, a game that they had won. They were in field goal range when Hubbard fumbled in overtime. Carolina plays the Eagles.
Starting point is 01:07:55 I'm just seeing how much they could play spoiler here down the stretch. They play the Eagles this week. They play the Cowboys, Cardinals, Bucks, and Falcons at the end of the year. They're playing hard now. They've become a different team since Washington blew them out, you know, is it a month and a half ago now, whenever? it was. The league yesterday basically had all one score games in the one o'clock window with the only one that wasn't was Washington. How about the Cardinals? They had a fourth and four at the
Starting point is 01:08:26 fourth and goal at the four, I think at the Minnesota four yard line. Fourth quarter opted for a field goal to go up six rather than going for it. Vikings came down the field. They had a fourth down and six, something like that. And Justin Jefferson was uncovered. Arizona lost that game 23 to 22. The Jets were up 217 with a chance to make it 28 to 7 in the second quarter. And there was a pick thrown by Rogers that Leonard Williams returned 92 yards for a touchdown. The longest pick six by a defensive lineman in NFL history.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I had the Jets yesterday in the smell test. Colts got a two-point conversion at the end. Anthony Richardson came up really big. They beat the Patriots 25-24. Already mentioned the Bengals. They can't stop anybody. And Russell Wilson threw for over 400 yards. I mean, insane.
Starting point is 01:09:24 And then the other late game, the Rams and Saints. The Saints were right there. They played well against the Rams. Had a chance on the doorstep to tie late. And Derek Carr took a sack on the fourth down play. And then the snow game last night was awesome. 49ers are now officially done. McCaffrey done for the year.
Starting point is 01:09:44 I think there were other injuries in that game as well. I mean, they're not technically out of it. They're two games behind Seattle, but losing McAvary. This just is not their year, right? I mean, they've got five games left. They're going to go ahead and play them anyway. And they do have a game against the Rams and the Cardinals, and they split with the Seahawks.
Starting point is 01:10:04 So they're not technically out of it. But, man, how about Buffalo and the snow last night? He played six offensive linemen for a big portion of the first half. San Francisco could not stop the run. Man, we've had some snow games the last couple of weeks. The Pittsburgh Cleveland game and then the game last night. There were a bunch of them on Saturday as well. Man, that college football Saturday was insane.
Starting point is 01:10:27 I don't know what's going to happen. Honestly, there's going to be some close calls for those last few spots. But Michigan beating Ohio State and then planning the flag was one of the most entertaining games, football games of the season, without question. It was not well played. There were mistakes made throughout. But Michigan going in and beating Ohio State for a fourth straight year, you've got to be kidding me. They were 23-point dogs. Holy crap. I mean, the flag planting, we can talk about this tomorrow with Tommy, but my whole thing is, you know, you don't, If you're going to plan a flag on somebody else's field, it's a pretty big sign of disrespect.
Starting point is 01:11:15 And if the team, the losing team, doesn't respond, I got problems with that. I think Ohio State had every right to respond in that situation. You know, win the game, leave the field, celebrate with your team, celebrate with your fans. You know, the flag planting that became a thing on Saturday, I think you kind of deserve whatever happens after that. Is it poor sportsmanship? Yeah, all the way around. But I'm just telling you that if that's my team that got my ass kicked as a 23-point dog
Starting point is 01:11:49 and then on top of it, you were going to rub salt into the wound, of course, I'd like to just take care of it by beating you the next time, but you're not planting a flag on my field. That ain't happening. By the way, Ohio State's still more likely than not going to have a chance to win a championship because they're going to be in the playoff. Maryland ended with just a hideous loss. They scored on their first offensive play
Starting point is 01:12:15 of our first offensive series after a turnover and didn't score again. And by the way, real quickly, James Franklin ran up the score at the end. Locksley had a big issue with it. Part of me wants to tell Lox, dude, you know, beat them. You know, stop them from scoring. And James Franklin gave this long, you know, response in the post game that when I put my twos and threes into the game and they're playing
Starting point is 01:12:42 the other team's ones, they deserve the right to play football. I agree with that 100%. But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about with the clock running down and running out on a third and 12 at Maryland's 15 yard line, they threw a touchdown pass with four seconds to go. I think when you get down to one play in that situation, you just take the knee. Penn State, with that win, clinched a spot, and they were going to have the opportunity to get a first round by in the Big Ten title game. They weren't playing for point differential or, you know, style points. They had pummeled Maryland. I don't have a problem with those twos and threes playing football.
Starting point is 01:13:31 In fact, you got to have. You can't send your backups in for the first. first time where they don't get a chance to play a lot and tell them not to try or dial it way back. You can dial it back a little bit. But I think the issue was more, it's fourth down. There are three seconds to go in the game and he's chucking it into the end zone for a touchdown. You know, Franklin, you know, I mean, I'm not thrilled with Maryland season. Trust me. And if I, I'm not thrilled with the locks necessarily having it out with Franklin at midfield. but he's not wrong in that Franklin rubbed it in.
Starting point is 01:14:10 Playing your twos and threes, fine. Last play of the game, four seconds, 15-yard line, fourth down and 12, take a knee. Because by the way, when you drop back, you might be getting your two or three on the depth chart. You may be putting that player in danger on a play like that. All right, that is it. Sorry again for not putting one out yesterday and getting one out late today. but I'll be back tomorrow with Tommy.
