You don't want it.
You don't need it, but you're going to get it anyway.
The Kevin Cheon Show.
Here's Kevin.
Good move by Daniels to get away from the first hit, but even better play by Drake Thomas
to stay with the elusive.
Washington quarterback was hurt.
Jaden Daniels, down and in some pain.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh is right, Mike Tariko.
Let me begin by being super blunt.
That was malpractice having Jaden Daniels.
in that game at that particular moment. Derelliction of duty, another way of describing it in very
blunt terms. I guess if you want to describe it nicely, you could say it was careless, but I think
that would be underselling it. I'm in for a very short, very short and very angered postgame
following the 38 to 14 loss to Seattle. The final score, not even close to reflecting how
badly Washington got destroyed tonight.
The beating included Jaden Daniels getting injured in the fourth quarter.
Looks like an elbow injury to his non-throwing arm, perhaps a dislocation.
He was in a cast on his way off the field.
Maybe, maybe for the last time this year.
More to come on those details, probably tomorrow.

Jaden Daniels injured with seven minutes and 29 seconds left in the game, the injury came in the
closing minutes of a game that Washington trailed by a score of 38 to 7. Translation, the game's
outcome had already been determined. No team in the history of the league has ever come back
from 31 points down in the final seven and a half minutes to win a game.
Never in the history of the NFL.
Just to be clear, what I'm about to say is not a second guess.
Check my tweet at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Quote, sit J.D, 55% pressure rate and called up JV receivers.
Call it a night.
Calling for the starting quarterback to take a seat in a game that's already been determined
in terms of who's going to win and who's going to lose,
I admit, is not always my go-to.
You know, I've probably done it a few times,
but more times than not,
I am very much with the coaches and the players
and their competitive nature,
go ahead, finish it out, compete until the end.
But not in this game, not at that point.
And the reasons I thought the way I did before the final course,
are numerous. There was a mountain of evidence that screamed, get him out of the game.
There's no upside to keeping him out there for another series or two, not in this game.
You know why? Well, first, if you didn't remember, he was coming into this game off of an injury,
his second of the season already, a hamstring injury, a soft tissue injury.
He'd made it through three quarters, healthy.
Why have him out there for what amounted to be preseason football at that point?
Seattle was starting to pull several of its starters, putting backups into the game.
The score, the time, his recent injuries made it seem like a total no-brainer.
Secondly, this game was high risk all night long for Jaden Daniels.
He was pressured at a 55% rate through three quarters.
I have no idea what the final numbers will look like because he was quarterbacking that final drive in Seattle.
Did take a little bit of their pressure off and they did have some backups into the game.
But through three quarters, a 55% pressure rate the most of his career, they said on the game last night,
which, by the way, was one of the reasons he was on the run all night long.
He was on the run not only because of the pressure, but because they had receivers on the field that couldn't get open.
They had Debo out there, but no Terry, and then they lost Luke McCaffrey on the opening kickoff to injury.
So the receiving core was inadequate, the pressure nonstop, and at that point through three quarters,
they didn't have much of a running game to take the pressure off of him.
He was the running game.
And that leads to this.
Next reason why it seems so obvious.
Through three quarters, he was already running too much.
Taking shots, getting sacked, keeping him in the game and dropping him back to throw
was just going to lead to more running, more risk, more sacks.
This was not a game in which, you know, he had been throwing cleanly all night from a clean pocket.
even when he did have time, with the exception of maybe two or three plays,
nobody was really open, forcing him to try to make plays with his legs or eat it and take a sack.
Keeping him out there in that game, which was a higher risk game than usual,
which also, by the way, let's be fair, was due to the fact that Seattle is really good, really good.
but this was not a 48 to 28 game where it was easy to execute on offense.
No, it was a struggle all night.
He had nobody to help him.
He was out there exposed for three quarters.
Why another quarter of that?
Incredible to me.
Incredible.
It just seemed so clear that the risk was not worth the reward down 31.
Again, this is not a second guess.
This is not hindsight for me.
And for a lot of you, I know a lot of you felt the same way.
I mean, in summary, on this injury, the game's outcome had been long ago determined.
He'd been injured recently twice, in fact, coming into this game,
which should have led to, you know, a more protective posture when the game got out of hand like this one did.
The Seahawks were teeing off on him, putting him at risk on almost every called pass play.
He was taking, again, some of the highest levels of pressure he's ever taken per next gen.
You know, he had nobody out there to help him.
You know, and again, let me emphasize, the game was effing over.
Over!
I like Dan Quinn.
I like Dan Quinn a lot.
But there is no way to sugarcoat this one.
the decision to keep Jaden in that game laid into that game was a mistake, period, a big mistake.
This game was not a playoff game.
This wasn't a game in which a miraculous comeback was actually, you know, even an odds choice.
This was off the board.
The game was way over.
And they put him out there.
And on the play he got hurt, I may be wrong about this.
I think it may have been an RPO
where he had the decision to hand it
or to pull it and try to throw.
And he got immediately pressured.
On that final drive,
they got a little bit quicker with the past game.
They ran it a little bit,
but they still dropped him back two to three times.
Absurd.
Maybe the injury won't be as bad as it looked
because it looked bad.
But this is one that's really hard.
to understand. You can be a badass competitor, which Quinn is and Jaden is, wanting to finish it out.
But there are times when, as Tommy says, the juice ain't worth the squeeze. And it wasn't even close to being worth the squeeze.
It just seemed so obvious to everybody, but the person that it needed to be most obvious to, the head coach.
The game itself was a disaster long before the injury.
And let me again just emphasize this.
Seattle is blanking great.
I mean an excellent all-around team.
I said on Friday show, I think they're a Super Bowl contender.
I think the entire nation got a dose of how good they are
and how much of a contender they are.
This was never a good matchup coming in.
I emphasized that on Friday.
I thought it was a bad, bad matchup for Washington.
But Washington never gave themselves a chance either.
Penalties, turnovers, drops.
You know, they probably don't beat Seattle if they play the perfect game,
but they had no chance of even keeping it respectable
with as many times as they hit themselves in the face with a brick over and over again,
especially on offense in the first half.
We know they can't stop anybody.
They're an absolute mess on defense, but offensively, they never gave themselves a chance.
All right, I'll get to my game take after these words from a few of our sponsors.
Hey, guys, Goldbelly is fast becoming one of my favorite websites.

Have you ever had Grater's ice cream?
Graters is an institution in Cincinnati, home to the world's only French pot freezer.
I don't even know what that means, but I do know that Grater's ice cream is the best.
And their flavor, Buckeye Blitz, which we ordered that.
We ordered the double chocolate chip, the Moka Chip.
The Buckeye Blitz is chocolate peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, dark chocolate chips.
trust me, if you haven't had Grater's ice cream, you should order it through Goldbelly.
You can get a lot from Goldbelly.

the races. It's White all the way. Cody White for the touchdown. The first of his NFL career
with a 60-yard score. That made it 28-0 Seattle in the second quarter. I started to have
flashbacks to the Monday Night Massacre game in 2010 when Philly came in and they were up 35 to
nothing after the first play of the second quarter. It didn't
get quite to that level in this one, but it was close in the first half.

All right, let's get to my Game Take.
Pay attention.
Here's Kevin's Game Take.
All right, the game take, my list of good things, bad things, and other things from the game last night.
The good list is short.
I'll start with this.
Chris Rodriguez in the game was pretty good.
12 carries, 65 yards.
I know a lot of it came after they had fallen behind 31 to 7 and then 38 to 7.
Seattle did have some backups into the game in the fourth quarter.
But I like the way he runs.
I've always liked the way Chris Rodriguez runs.
He runs hard.
He's physical.
you know, he gets three when he should get one.
He gets five when he should get two.
I like him.
He was good in this game.
He was basically the only thing good about the game that I can think of really in terms of
positional play.
He had, by the way, on a third and one second drive of the third quarter, go watch that run, man.
During the break, the commercial break, I went back and looked at it, and I'm like,
this dude brings it.
Chris Rodriguez on the list.
press way on the list. Four punts, all four inside the 20-yard line, 47.8 yards per kick and a 47.8-yard net because none of his punts were returned.
Jeremy Reeves, I'm going to put him on the list. You know, I like him. He plays hard and he hits.
All right, that's it. I'm not giving the defense any props for the second half, you know, holding Seattle to seven points and forcing.
some punts, even getting an interception, which was a gift from Sam Darnold.
The Seahawks just didn't have anywhere near the same urgency.
They didn't need to have it in the second half.
So no real credit for the second half defensive effort that was, yes, better than the first
half, but who cares?
The damage had been done.
You know, the defense had the worst first half of any team in the league this year.
I'll get to the horror show details of that in a minute.
But yeah, nothing else on the list of good.
Chris Rodriguez, Tressaway, Jeremy Reeves.
Let's get to the list of things that I did not like.
We'll just start with the injury again.
Jaden's injury again.
Malpractice.
Total malpractice to have him in the game at that moment.
It just didn't make any sense to me.
And I like Dan Quinn and everybody makes mistakes.
But this one was a big one because it seemed so easy.
to avoid. And it may be a mistake that hurts this team for another, you know, seven,
eight games, excuse me. They played nine now. And we may not see him back, you know,
until next September, 10 months from now. You know, he could be lost for the year. We'll find
out more on Monday afternoon. You know, the last play of the third quarter should have been it.
That's when I put my tweet out that it's time to sit him. He was sacked. The quarter ended. They had to punt.
It was 38 to 7.
You know, at that point, it's like Marcus, start warming up.
Jaden's injury, number one, on the list of things I didn't like.
Number two, the overall readiness tonight for the game.
You know, this was not Monday night at Arrowhead.
You know, nowhere near the same level of energy.
I didn't feel it.
Sloppy, you know, play right from the jump.
They weren't sloppy from the jump at Arrowhead.
Penalties was a big part of the offensive lack of productivity.
defensively, you know, they played well on Monday night. Much of why they played well on Monday
night is it came from like this intense urgency from the jump. I didn't feel it tonight at all.
Look, you know, not to give him a lot of credit because he'll take it and run with it, but I and,
you know, sent me a note on Monday and he said, you know, sometimes after the effort that the team
put forth on Monday night, they emptied the tank. There is some truth.
to that, especially when you've got a short turnaround. But, you know, Jaden didn't even play on
Monday night. But I did think he looked ready. I mean, he looked like he was in, you know,
trying to avoid, you know, on almost every single play getting swarmed under. All right,
let's get to the defense because this is really, you know, the overall worst thing about the game
itself other than the injury, clearly. It was about as bad as it gets. Worst defense in the
league right now, Washington's. I think it's worse than Cincinnati's and Dallas's. You look,
Cincinnati and Dallas are close. I think right now Washington's overall defense is the worst because
they can't cover. They can't get a pass rush. They can't really stop the run consistently either.
They don't get takeaways unless the other team kind of offers them up. They don't tackle well.
I didn't know if that was the issue tonight, but typically they don't tackle well.
And they often look confused before important plays, important third down snaps.
You know, the first half was all-time bad.
I think it was the worst performance by an NFL team this year.
Seattle scored five times on five drives, scored 31 points, rolled up 330 yards in a half,
went five for five on third down.
and really none of what they did seemed hard for them. It all came easy.
Darnold had one of the greatest halves, first halves of football you'll ever see.
It was literal perfection. 16 of 16 for 282 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions,
no sacks, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
But it was just so easy. I mean, we talked about on Friday, Smith and the Jigba is uncoverable,
uncheckable, knew that coming in. Seattle didn't even have their number two receiver in Cooper
Cup. He was out. It didn't matter. The touchdown passed to Horton that made it 14 to nothing on a
third and eight looked like total confusion pre-snap. Yeah, they're an injured group. Okay,
they are a shell of what they wanted to be before the season started. Armstrong, Wise, Harris.
The list goes on and on and they lost Latimore, you know, for a big portion of the game. I have no
idea if it's serious. Quan Martin left the game. Amos left the game. They both came back, I think,
but man, it's ugly on the injury front. There's no doubt about it, but it's not a good defense
to begin with. And it's not getting better. They would literally need the opponent to throw up on
themselves week in and week out to end up having, you know, a defense that you perceived as being,
you know, average. You know, solutions, I don't know if there are any to come by right now,
this year anyway. I would imagine major changes are coming in the off season. The defense
very high on the list of things that I didn't like. Number four, you know, the offense was
limited. I thought the plan was bad. And then it penalized itself out of any real chance
to produce when the game was, for a brief moment, competitive. So I'll start with the
limitations. They just don't have enough of a supporting cast skill position-wise. Debo was out there,
that was it. You know, Ertz barely. Other than that, you had Traylon Burks out there for a bunch of
snaps, it seemed like, you know, and all of these other dudes. Luke McCaffrey was lost on the opening
kickoff, so they didn't have the guy that was probably their number three. Let's face it,
you know, Jacori Kroski Merritt is good for a seventh rounder. But,
But he's not really what many of you thought he was just a month ago.
I think Rodriguez looks just as good.
But they have major limitations, you know, without these pieces.
Terry, obviously, the big missing piece tonight.
But even a favorite, like Noah Brown, you know, him being lost for the year.
They're just limited.
And, you know, they were limited at times last year.
Certainly overall as a roster.
but the competition is much different this year.
I mean, they just faced, you know, much better defensive teams the last few weeks,
not to mention much better quarterbacks.
But this is offense specific here on the list of things that I thought were terrible in this game,
and limitations offensively were a part of it clearly.
I also didn't love the plan.
I thought Cliff's plan seemed too ambitious, considering the opponent,
considering the limitations.
Too many dropbacks,
not enough quick game until later in the game.
It was clear that he didn't think they could run it,
and I understand why he didn't think they could run it.
This was the number one rush defense in the league,
but nine out of the first 10 play calls were passes.
I don't know, maybe one or two of them were RPO's.
I don't think they were.
He really didn't start to try to run the ball until the third drive.
Maybe Rodriguez would have given them more of a check,
than he thought going in.
But, you know, the deficit grew so quickly.
So I don't even really know what the plan was when it got to 21-0-20, 28-0.
They actually started to run it even more.
But even with some of the stuff they tried tonight more of, Jaden was under center on several plays early in the game.
It didn't work.
It's like they didn't have a run game off of it.
And, you know, I mean, a bootleg under center, we've watched football for a long time.
I mean, 80% of the time, 75% of the time, somebody's wide open, especially with a mobile quarterback,
they can get out there quickly.
It just seemed like there was nothing for him to throw to.
You know, I don't mind, you know, some of the things he tried with the under center stuff,
but I just thought the plan to drop them back as much as they did early in particular was just too ambitious against this team.
And I didn't think there was anywhere near enough quick game early.
The quick game came late in the game and was somewhat effective, but again, the score was out of hand, and they had some of their backups in the game.
So limitations clearly. Bad plan, didn't like Cliff's plan, and then penalties killed them, killed them early in the game on offense.
You know, if they had a shot in this game, they had to be flawless offensively. It was one of my keys to a,
win. Let's go through them. Drive number one. After a first down, they've got it out to their own
42, and Biotish gets called for a blind side block. 15 yards, second and 25. You can forget
about that against Seattle's defense. So that was drive killer number one. Drive number two,
they're on the move. Two first downs. They're at the Seattle 40. On third and two, Jaden scrambles
very effectively to move the chains for six or seven yards. But
face mask, Chris Paul, 15 yards.
Now it's third and 17 and they're back at their own 45.
That next play, Jaden trying to at least get into field goal range or into a fourth and makeable, you know, forced a throw.
It was a great interception on the sideline, but he forced one that he shouldn't have forced.
But the penalty derailed that drive.
Drive number three, fourth down in one.
They're going for it.
They're down 28-0 because Jalen Lane had fumbled the kickoff return.
They'd scored again.
It's 28-0-0.
They're at their own 29, fourth and one.
And Jaden on a QB keeper, he's off to the races, man.
There is room, and he's going to have a big chunk run.
But Ertz, you know, a legal motion.
Maybe it was false start, I forget.
Fourth and sixth they punt.
So first three drives, three penalties on a night where you could not do that to yourself
if you were going to have any chance.
And again, you know,
They weren't going to win that game anyway because the defense just was so helpless.
And Seattle's just really good.
But their only chance was to play well offensively,
and with the limitations they had at receiver in particular,
that meant they could not self-destruct.
No room for errors.
And the first three drives, three penalties, two of them 15-yarders, drive-killers.
Next up on the list after all of the offensive stuff I just mentioned.
There were drops again.
If the mistakes I've already mentioned weren't enough,
there were at least two more drops,
a big one by Bates early on a play that would have,
early on in the game that would have been a nice chunk yardage play.
You know, Bates has a drop problem going back to last year.
Pass protection.
I thought the offensive line tonight struggled in pass pro, 55.
And this is an area that we,
We're somewhat confident coming in.
55% pressure rate through three quarters.
I don't know where the final numbers stand.
They may have improved a little bit in the fourth quarter
when Seattle kind of took the foot off the pedal.
Jaden was on the run early and often because he had to,
and he made some plays, but you can't be a real offense
if your only offense is the quarterback scrambling
because he's under siege two out of every three dropbacks
with none of his receivers,
winning consistently enough.
Look, some of that past protection,
we may look back and say Jaden should have pulled the trigger,
but I don't think he's confident in pulling the trigger right now with these guys.
There's just not enough of an opportunity.
I think he missed one deep to Jalen Lane,
but that may have been one of two or three missed, and that was it.
Also on the list, turnovers, you know, Jalen Lane on the kickoff return.
Come on, man.
Jaden's on 3rd and 17 with, you know, trying to,
to force it there early.
Just penalties overall, eight for 87, and a few of them were called, but were declined,
including on a touchdown pass.
Amos was called for a DPI on a touchdown pass in the first half.
Ertz was in particular really aggravating and frustrating.
He had two different, you know, pre-snap penalties where he just seemed to lack the concentration
last night.
I think that's it.
I think that's enough.
We'll finish up with just a few other observations,
including just sort of Jaden's game before the injury
after these words from a few of our sponsors.

Was there any consideration of not having J-D go in for that series and what you've got injured
and having Marcus finished out?
Yeah, not of the space.
I mean, obviously, like, the hindsight, you don't want to think that way where, you know, an injury could take place.
You know, obviously we're more conservative in that spot to, you know, run and handoff and not have breeds to go.
but just the end result, Mickey, I'm bummed.
And going back to the decision to keep him in the game,
obviously, his football things happen.
You said hindsight, but because of his style,
would there have been any extra thought given to that
and just knowing that he does like to run
and maybe leave himself more susceptible?
Yeah, obviously I'm just, like, gutted by it, I'm just bummed.
You know, we didn't have any replays on it,
and the one that he was on injured is, you know,
usually a runner or a throw to the flat.
It's not a scramble.
So it wasn't a designed read or play, you know, into that spot.
If we run it, you know, 50 times, it's either handoff or a throw, you know, I'd say 50 times.
So it's, yeah, it's a bummer, man, in the big way.
Back-to-back questions there to start the press conference following the game.
I just listened to it during this last break and threw that in there.
Nikki Javala with a question, John Kime with a follow-up.
There were a couple of others, but I'm not even sure what Quinn said there.
Certainly didn't seem to have in the moment, and it's in the heat of the moment,
so I'm not going to jump all over the press conference reaction,
but didn't seem like there was a ton of thought to pulling him from that game.
I would imagine there's going to be some postgame as they think about it.

tonight. I am keeping that play even though Kyler Murray isn't starting Jacoby Berset is.
Remember, I pulled Arizona a few weeks ago when Jacoby Berset was named the starter just before
kickoff in a game against the.
Colts, but because the line changed significantly. The line right now hasn't moved. It's still
at three. Arizona was a smell test pick on Friday plus the three. They're a major anti-public
dog tonight in Dallas. I'm keeping them in the smell test. So that's the final play of the weekend,
eight and one through Saturday and Sunday. Four and no one Saturday, four and one yesterday.
Again, MyBooky, if you want to bet on sports, fair across the board, numbers, pricing, et cetera.

All right, a few other observations, and then we'll get out of here.
So Jaden's night before the injury, not even sure how to really evaluate it.
You know, Cliff didn't seem to plan, you know, appropriately, I would say,
against a pass rush that kept coming and with receivers who couldn't win quickly enough.
With that said, he missed a deep shot to Lane on one of the few plays where it looked like
there was separation. Obviously, the All-22 will reveal more of it, but Collinsworth was talking
about it all night, and they've got sort of the All-22 in real-time. There was an early throw to the
sideline for Bates that was late and dangerous.
Had the pick, you know, as mentioned on 3rd and 17, you know, just threw it up for grabs.
There was another one that he threw up for grabs as well under duress.
He had some really good plays, too, you know, a couple of early third down conversions to
Ertz, a fourth and one, you know, play action, rollout throw to Bates.
The quick fake bubble throw to lane for 15 yards where they fake the bubble and he's,
you know, open in that, you know, slot area.
The touch pass to Ertz after he was flush from the pocket for 25 yards in the third quarter.
A few excellent runs, including the 12-yard scramble down to the one-yard line before their
touchdown at the end of the first half.
He had a really good scramble on a third and two for an easy first down, but that was the play
in which Chris Paul was, I think that was the play where Chris Paul was called for a face mask.
You know, he rushed for 51 yards on 10 carries.
The throwing numbers really, you know, what were the final numbers?
I don't even know.
It's not like there was a lot of garbage numbers, I guess, that final drive,
but they actually ran the ball a little bit on that drive, as did he.
16 of 22, 153, you know, the one pick, 51 rushing yards.
You know, when the QBR comes out, it won't be terrible.
It won't be anywhere near his worst game.
but again, you know, major limitations around him.
And, you know, last night they played an excellent, excellent team.
He tried his best, I think, to make chicken salad out of chicken, you know what.
But ultimately, for me, C plus tonight.
He shouldn't have been in the game at the end.
That's the worst part of it.
Bad ending to the night.
You know, another observation.
What was Mike McDonald doing?
Was he just being generous?
He's very conservative, by the way, if you didn't know this about Mike McDonald,
the Seattle coach, very conservative, punts more often than not in go-for-it situations analytically.
But at the end of the first half, when they got that big one to Smith and the Jigba,
and then they ruled that he was in-bounds instead of out-of-bounds,
and there was the option of Seattle taking their last time out
and leaving 13 seconds left on the clock or not taking the time out.
and having a 10-second runoff.
McDonald took the 10-second runoff.
They were at the Washington 23-yard line with 13 seconds left.
You don't think they could have thrown a touchdown pass against that defense?
I mean, come on.
You know, they could have thrown another quick out and then maybe two shots or a shot to the end zone
before kicking a field goal if they had to kick a field goal.
But he let the 10-second runoff and then he took the final time out with three seconds.
It went from 13 to 3.
and they kicked, you know, a short chip shot 41-yarder, which is a chip shot these days in the NFL,
especially after we saw the record set yesterday by Cam Little Jacksonville, 68-yarder at the end of the first half in Vegas.
But I was surprised that he did that.
I would have thought, no, no, no, no, 13 seconds.
We'll take our last time out.
We're at their 23-yard line.
We can probably throw it into the end zone on two shots here.
We'll have at least two before we need to kick a field goal.
What else do I have on this list?
Not much.
Look, three and six with the Lions coming to town.
Detroit is, let me look this up on my bookie.
I'm going to guess there are six point favorite, at least seven maybe.
Four and a half point favorite.
four and a half point favorite.
I don't know. We'll see what happens to it during the week.
Look, the season feels over now at 3 and 6, especially if Jaden's done.
Crazier things have happened, but this team is just too injured and just too god-awful on defense to turn things around.
Last year, they were pretty bad on defense as well, but the opponents were different.
The quarterbacks were different.
We spent, you know, all off-season talking about that.
Tough season, for sure.
Injuries are a big part of it, but even healthy.
not sure they were going to be good enough on defense, given the teams that they have on their schedule,
uh, to have, you know, busted through with, you know, a playoff record type of season,
especially in this year's, uh, NFC. Um, I would have liked to have seen a healthy team,
because I think they would have been better on defense with Armstrong, with Wise, with Harris.
Um, I think they would have been better on offense had Jaden played in every game and hadn't been
injured and Terry was healthy for every game. But man, they are horrible on defense. They really are
horrible on that side of the football. Sellers on Tuesday, trade deadline? Sure. If Jaden is done for a
while, the season's done for good. I think it probably is done for good anyway. So why not? I mean, if you can
get something back for guys that, you know, you don't want to keep around or you don't want to
pay to keep around.
Duran Payne comes to mind for sure, a guy like Andrew Wiley.
I mean, maybe even somebody like Bobby Wagner, you know, there's a team out there that I'm
sure would love the leadership, the tackling ability in a playoff run of a Bobby Wagner.
But yeah, maybe this will happen.
You know, we'll talk more about that on Tuesday's show.
Lastly, I'm just going to come back to Seattle for one moment just to finish up the show.
If I had been watching this game objectively with no rooting interest, I would have absolutely been a believer in Seattle.
Now, I was a believer, as you know, if you listen to Friday's show going into this game after watching a few of their games at the end of the week to prepare for Friday's show, it was very evident how good they were.
and how complete they are.
And, you know, you combine that with the fact that they were on, you know, coming off a bye week
and Washington was on a short week.
Just, you know, a really, really bad matchup going in.
But they are really good.
There are some really good teams in the NFC.
Seattle's certainly one of them.
Oh, last thing.
The uniforms looked great.
They looked awesome.
It just sucks that it happened for the first.
time in a game that was never, ever competitive after about the first 10 minutes of the game.
But I liked what it looked like. And, you know, the helmets are never coming back.
That logo I don't think is coming back. I don't know why not. It certainly makes sense that
it could and should. There was never anything offensive about the logo. But I hope that that's
the look in the future. And the W on the helmets is fine with me. And congrats to Art
Monk, Jersey retired. I did something on art on the show on Friday. If you want to listen to it,
it was in the final segment of Friday show. Just a tough night team-wise to have him honored,
you know, when they literally just got the doors blown off of them. All right. I think that's
going to be it for the show tonight and early tomorrow morning and Monday.
unless there is a major update on Jaden.
There probably will be,
so I may come back late Monday with a show.
We'll see.
Other than that, if I don't, back on Tuesday with Tommy.
We started right from the very beginning.
First offensive series, penalty, knocked us back out.
First defensive series, penalty, that's how we started.
And we killed our momentum where we can even get momentum.
And give Seattle credit.
I thought for a great night,
but for us to have issues.
that allowed them to have that night or stunning.
We couldn't stop them, and we completely stopped ourselves.
And I'm furious, obviously, and ended out of motion,
but it's also hard to have that.
You see the entire team on a knee, circling up on Jaden,
and who's on the ground after his injury.
So the update on him is he does have a left elbow injury.
I'll update you more once I know more, but that's what I know tonight.
But what I can say is I can speak for every coach and player and just unacceptable performance by us tonight.
And told the team we the one dug the hole, we're the ones that digged out, the solutions are from within.
So we missed it by mile.
